Chapter 54: Final Preparations Before Stone Search
As Mom approved the request of staying over at Lunia's home at Hyperdrive City, I packed my toothbrush, my towel, some sleeping clothes and other things. I also grabbed a book with me on the way out just in case I'm getting bored and I want to read.
"I'm going now, Mom." I said as I was about to walk back outside.
"Ok. Text me if you need anything." Mom said.
"I will."
After heading back outside, I used my telecator to warp back to Hyperdrive City and meet up with Lunia and the others. So this is my second sleepover ever and honestly, I'm really excited. It's something that has never happened in my life. But thanks to Arle, Ringo, Amitie and Raffina, I guess they really got me active from all the fun they've created. Puyo Puyo, Board Games, and other miscellaneous stuff. Now it was time for me to see what it's like hanging out with the Hyper family along with Blue, Kinsley, Candace and Gemma. I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, but what I'm sure is that it's going to be such a good time.
Once I've accessed authorization inside Lunia's base, I've entered inside where it was just the Hyper Family still here, along with Blue and Gemma. No sign of Candace and Kinsley just yet.
Candace and Kinsley are still taking care of themselves… it was kinda expected.
"I'm back." I said to everyone.
"Welcome back." Lunia said.
"So what is this, your first time having a sleepover?" Darius asked.
"Second time." I said.
"I've been in a sleepover a few times." Blue said.
"I've done it numerous times. I've never stopped liking them ever since." Gemma asked.
"Wait, second time? When was… oh that was your sleepover with…"
"The friends that I had in Primp Town. I still think about them nowadays." I said with a sad look on my face.
"Yeah, I've seen all of it, Kaze. You did have a heart for them." Lunia said.
"I know, but… at the same, like books, I just gotta turn the page. Nothing can be reversed."
"Friends… from Primp Town. Wait, was that from Japan?" Gemma asked.
She doesn't know it. I guess I have to tell the truth.
"A-Actually Gemma… Primp Town was a different dimension. It wasn't a country."
"A different… dimension? Wait, you went to a different dimension? Please tell me I'm not hallucinating!" Gemma shouted, looking very surprised.
"No, it's not a hallucination. It's true. I was sent there to learn magic. Then the friends came next."
"What? Another dimension? Someone actually got the opportunity to go to a different dimension when the chances of going there are vastly low."
"I figured Kaze would be a missing piece to what Primp Town needs." Lunia said. "And I thought she would be that person. Ever since, she took advantage of her opportunity when she needed to so that's why I considered her to join forces."
"Right?! It's like she was becoming an encyclopedia right from the jump!" Alexis shouted.
"I-I wasn't that… smart when it came to the battles!" I said. "All it took was not only problem-solving but help from others. I wasn't doing it all by myself because then I wouldn't have been the answer."
Ecolo's possessed minions were the reason for my near-death experience! Heck, Satan was in the mix too!
"But you still showed resilience in the end, didn't you? That's an accolade you can keep as memories." Zack said.

"Well, Yes, I did show resilience. One thing a protagonist does in a story."
"So please stop lacking faith in yourself." Scarlett said.
"You may not be the strongest out of all of us yet, but you will be as we get through all of this. We have faith in you. You just think you aren't worthy enough of being a leader, but we're giving you a chance because you were performing as one."
"S-Scarlett?"
"Back in Primp Town, what did you do? Defeated villains that were targeting you, right? You made them stop by defeating them. So… you have a chance by becoming a superheroine. There could be a possibility that other villains are targeting you for whatever reason, but that's when you have the opportunity to do something that you've dreamed of doing. Stopping bad guys. It was in your DNA after all."

"Y-Yeah, I did say that." I said after putting some thought into what she said. "You're right. I also did say that I was gonna help protect everyone so I'll keep my word on that. But what I'm saying is that I didn't do so hot on my first attempt because everyone was taking the spotlight from me. And I never chimed in. This was Primp Town doing most of the work. It wasn't me."
"You'll get another shot at it. Next time, you have to start speaking up for yourself." Lunia said.
"Candace is back." Candace said as she made her way inside the entrance with her bag.
"Oh… Welcome back, Candace. I'm glad you actually decided to come over." Blue said.
"Just know that I'm doing this because I want to get this day over with fast so we can start finding that first stone. I'm not doing this for amusement."
"The whole point of the sleepover is just so we can make things easier for ourselves when we're getting prepared."
"Yeah. Like I said. Getting the day over with fast."
"So did your parents approve of you sleeping over?"
"Yes, they did approve." I said.
"They were very worried at first, but since I managed to convince them, they approved anyway. They told me to be very very careful." Candace said.
"They were very worried?" I asked.
"Well… they know that I am a celebrity and the whole United Kingdom loves me since I look beautiful and they don't want to see me gone forever so… they want to keep me safe and not find themselves guilty of abandoning me. But I told them I should be rewarded for helping a fellow friend in need so that's how I convinced them."
Her parents really care. That's sweet.
"Wow… so that's four people with family that actually care." Darius said.
"Why wouldn't they have a family?" Scarlett asked with a sweatdrop.
"I'm just sayin'. Us five are a family despite our DNA looking a lil' different."
"Well, you'll still do great, Candace. This whole mission is gonna be over before you know it." I said.
"Well… thanks. It better be over with." Candace said.
"I'm back." We heard Kinsley say as she entered inside with her things. "My guardian approved my request to stay here so… wish granted."
"Alright, that's all of us so let me send a message to someone and we'll be on our way over." Lunia said.
"Ok. So what do you normally do at home?" I asked.
"Well… we do a lot of things at home. Board Games, Video Games, watch movies, etc." Kris said.
"Your eyes will definitely pop once you step foot. I swear, we got the best house in history." Darius said.
"Oh really? I don't believe it. I have to see for myself." Candace said with a smirk.
"You live in a mansion. There's no way it's better than what we have right now."
"It's made for a princess like myself. I have worked hard royally."
"Really Royal. That's so "Candace" all right."
"Mhm. Worked royally and still defeated you three straight times." Candace said to Gemma.
"Does she ever put that to rest already?" Blue whispered with a facepalm.
"*clears throat*"
"Nothing, Candace." Blue said as Candace was looking annoyed.
"Alright. I sent him the message. Are you all ready?" Lunia asked as she was done messaging.
"Of course."
"Sure."
"Ready when you are."
"Certainly!"
"Yuppers!" Me, Blue, Kinsley, Candace and Gemma said, looking prepared.
"Ok, let's go." Lunia said as she created a portal that leads straight to her house.
We all went through the portal to see what her house looked like. And let's just say… it was better than all of our houses.
"Here we are. This is our house." Lunia said as she was showing what the house looks like from the outside.
"I…I…" I was speechless at how big and futuristic the house was from top to bottom.
"What?! Is that big?!" Blue shouted.
"N-No way! Please tell me this is fake! Anybody tell me this is fake!" Candace shouted, looking surprised.
"Look see, I told you it's better! Look! She's blushing!" Darius shouted pointing at her cheeks.
"Candace! You see how cool this is! You can't tell me it's not that amazing!" Gemma shouted.
"Hey, I didn't say any of that! What?!" Candace shouted.
"Huh. This doesn't look too bad." Kinsley said while looking at the house.
"Now you have to make it official. This is the better home after all. Well… not for me, but for us." Alexis said.
"Y-Yeah, you do have it better than mine's." I said while blushing.
"I don't want to judge people's houses. All I can say is that it's nice." Kinsley bluntly said.

"M-Me too… I-I… I… I'll… stand down. Your house is better." Candace whispered, while still blushing.
That statement had Darius, Gemma, Alexis and Kris laughing and snickering all at once. Something that I didn't bother with.
Oh geez. This is going to be a pain.
"Ok, everyone, let's settle down! We're only doing this to sleep over and have fun for the rest of the day." Lunia said.
"Ok, let's head inside." I said.
We all walked inside the house to see the inside and it was almost as cool as anyone else. All of us English girls couldn't believe what we were seeing.
"Oh my goodness. It's really spacy and organized." I said as I was looking around the living room area.
"This is pretty nice! I definitely agree with how spacious it looks along with how it's decorated." Blue said.
"This really feels like we're in the future here! But then again, this is a futuristic world so I knew it was coming." Gemma said.
"Yes, there were things that we can pitch in to make it look more futuristic as Gemma says, so you can say that is indeed nice." Lunia said.
"I… honestly can't refuse too." Candace whispered with a sweatdrop.
"Pardon?" I asked Candace.
"Oh my— She is timid!" Darius said with a facepalm.
"What did you say, Miss Candace?" Lunia asked.
"I-I said I honestly can't refuse too." Candace said while blushing.
"It's like she's Alexis all of the sudden."
"No I'm not! Quit with the nonsense!" Alexis shouted at Darius.
"A-Anyway… I'll be at my room if you need me. I'm gonna work on something before I call it a day." Zack said as he was walking to his room.
"Ok, Zack. Be sure to let these girls show them your room, ok?" Lunia asked.
"Ok, I will, Mom."
"So where can I place my bag?" I asked Lunia.
"You can place them in the rooms you want to be in. Be sure to not forget them on your way out too." Lunia asked.
"Alright. I'll… put it in Scarlett's room." I said after choosing where I want to sleep over.
"Well… I honestly don't have a bedroom for you to sleep in but I can just give you a blanket if you want." Scarlett said.
"I'm ok with it. Thank you."
"Alright. Please make yourselves at home, girls. Kids, why don't you show them the rooms that are available?" Lunia asked.
"Wait, you're not gonna show them the rooms?" Alexis asked.
"I cannot unfortunately. Since I've shown you what it's like here and you've had a ton of experience here, You've grown quite enough to show these girls around so I'll leave you to it."
"Wow, so we gotta *smacks teeth* *sigh*..."
"Come on, Darius. You can handle it. You're almost an adult soon." Lunia said to Darius.

"Alright. I got you, Mama." Darius said after giving in at the last minute.
"Thank you. That's all I needed to hear. Now again, make yourselves at home. If you ever need anything, I'll be in my room." Lunia said as she was walking to her room.
I feel bad for him. But in the end, he's 17 as I recall.
"I'll show you where my room is. Follow me." Scarlett said to me.
"Ok." I said to her.
As everyone was getting settled, we all went to our designated rooms to put our bags there. While Gemma went with Kris and Darius, and Candace went with Alexis, Me, Blue and Kinsley went with Scarlett to see her room. We wanted to go to her room first because I had a feeling that me and Scarlett have a lot in common, but we haven't talked about it that much. I noticed that her intellectual skills come from reading and I had a feeling that she loves reading hence why I decided to share a room with her. Blue wanted to tag along because she cares for me while Kinsley wanted to tag along because she notices her connection with Scarlett seems to be growing. Scarlett didn't bother it and agreed with them coming along.
Hopefully this will give Scarlett some peace for now.
"So… what do you do in your room, Scarlett?" I asked.
"I do a couple of things that are worth my time." Scarlett said. "I read books, drink tea or coffee, listen in on upcoming news, and other things of that nature."
"That's… very mature of you unlike the others." Kinsley said with a sweatdrop.
"Well, Zack… he's not really a pain since he's more focused on the details. The other three can give a headache at times with their crap."
"It's reasonable. I have a friend in my country who is the same way." Blue said.
"But you don't have to worry about them now since you're entering my room so we don't have to talk about that now."
Yeah. She's right. But sometimes, I gotta balance fun and work.
"Usually I don't allow anyone to enter my room without my permission except for Zack, but since you three look like you can become helpful resources, I can let you girls use my room whenever you want."
"I-Is that so? It's your room, so I can't be that intrusive." Kinsley said with a sweatdrop.
"No, it's ok. You're not intrusive. I just thought that since you said yesterday or so that you're trying to track Thanos down, I figured myself or my room can be helpful to you."
"I guess this might be your lucky day, Kinsley. Even though I'm the one that has to solve this mystery." I asked.
"O…Ok. Thanks, Scarlett." Kinsley said.
"Alright, we're almost approaching my room." Scarlett said.
We all were walking a few more feet until Scarlett opened the nearest door in front of us. Once we went inside, her room was like a combination library, an office and a room. What was in here was a whole collection of books, a flat screen tv, a bed, table along with… whatever that machine is, and some technology. I can't get into the details yet because we all were new here.
All of us looked very interested to see how clean and organized it was.
Her room is better than mine. She knows how to be responsible in every aspect.
"Here it is." Scarlett said as she introduced us to her room.
"It looks nice. I can see you organized a lot of things." I said.
"Yeah. You do a lot better than all of us." Blue said.
"Thank you. I know what I do around here so I'm glad you like it." Scarlett said.
"So… Your room is like a library, huh? You seem to know a lot." Kinsley said.
"That's true. I like to read genres that are to my liking. Even history books. I like to read those."
"But is every single collection just history books? Because you own a myriad amount of books. Have you read every single one of them?" Blue asked.
"No, unfortunately. I take my time reading them. I don't jump the gun to move on to the next book. I take my time. And no, these aren't all history books. Every book is listed in the genre I listed them in. I take my time doing that too."
"Oh. I thought you were the most intelligent out of everybody. I guess you're still getting there."
"No no. Don't get the wrong idea." Scarlett said, trying to reason with me. "I'm still smart, but I'm not some manual book. The only manual book here is my Mom, which, you know, is Lunia. I'm still doing my best to gather information from not only this world, but from other dimensions as well. I don't need to know everything, but I still have to gather nuggets of information so that when a new ruler leads Hyperdrive City, he or she will have a bad name when they don't know what their goal is."
"So… Lunia decided to create a competition for you all to see who is capable of ruling all of Hyperdrive City." Blue asked.
"No no no. We are her kids, so there was no competition." Scarlett said. "When she steps down, someone's gotta be the ruler and the others have to be co-rulers. It all comes down to the citizens based on how passionate we take our dimension. I'm pretty sure Lunia will give you a better understanding, but let's put that aside for now."
"Ok. I'm looking at that round machine thingy. What's that?" I asked as I was looking at the machine thing.
"Oh, that's my customizable drink-maker." Scarlett said as she touched the machine.
"Your… customizable… drink-maker?" Kinsley asked, looking confused.
"Yeah, Zack made this for me. I can make any type of drink I want. Coffee, Tea, Milk, etc."
"Zack really knows how to build things. This is unreal." Blue said, looking mind-blown.
"Yeah. I can see why he's more independent." I said.
"He's not independent. He's open to talking to people. When it comes to work time, he doesn't think about anyone else but what he's doing right now, which is why I back off. I first tried to talk to him about something, but he was more focused on building and working on his technology so I decided to wait for him to finish."
He really is passionate about his technology.
"I can show you how this works. It's really simple. Just swipe through any type of drink, click on what you want. Same with the flavor. Click on it. Then get your cup, press on the lever… and there you go."
Scarlett then handed me the cup which was tea in there and I drank it.
"It's tasty. I have to give kudos to Zack. He is something special." I said after trying out the drink.
"And I didn't innovate this. I would come downstairs to make coffee for myself until he decided to make me this. I didn't want it at first and decided to give it to either Darius or Kris, but since he's such a gentleman, I accepted it anyway. I'm glad neither of them didn't notice this. So I guess you can keep the drink. Feel free to credit him in-person too when you get a chance."
"Ok, I will."
"So… Are you ok with quiet time, Scarlett? Doesn't it make you feel bored?" Blue asked.
"No. What made you ask that?" Scarlett asked.
"I mean, you are moved by reading books, reports, news, all while drinking coffee and all of that stuff, but doesn't the routine make you feel bored?"
"Well… Not at all because it's just what I like to do. If I was bored, I would hang out with my siblings or my friends, but doing all of this doesn't make me feel bored. I could, however, take your suggestion as to switching my routine since I could go both ways on fun and work but my passion goes straight to reading, learning, and knowing the past, present and the future. I have to know this dimension and all others and what's going on so that I can learn from it next time."
"I see… You do care for not only yourself but for this dimension and the others. Including our country. It's almost similar to what I'm planning as of now. Protecting myself and this country." Kinsley said after hearing what Scarlett said.
"Ahh… so you and Kaze might have something in common. Protecting the country and yourselves."
"Well… I got dragged to it in the first place." Kinsley gained a sweatdrop.
"Thanos was your number one priority, so it was clear that I wanted to create an alliance along with you and the Hyper family. You saved me after all so I wanted to give you the help." I said.
"*sigh* Yeah, I know."
"It's still a shame why Thanos would hide somewhere hidden like that. There are tons of dimensions that he could've gone to." Blue said.
"Well, actions speak louder than words, so there's no point of having to talk about stuff that's fixable."
"She's right, Blue." Kinsley said, agreeing with what Scarlett said. "We won't know where that asshole went until we try. He nearly kidnapped a person, so not doing anything is improper. We have to look for him ourselves."
They both have a point actually. Kidnapping is never ok. Which is why we have to do our best to find the rest of these stones so that we can have intel on Thanos' location and teach him a severe lesson.
"Yeah, I agree. Gathering the legendary stones could be the key to leading Thanos so we'll waste no time doing that." Blue said.
"And the plot could deepen even more after that. That mastermind will not have a leg to stand on." I said.
"That's right, Kaze. Anyway, let's relax for the day. You can read some of my books that I have. I have one house rule however. Put the books back to where you found them." Scarlett said in a serious tone.
"Ok, ok. We will, Scarlett." I said.
"We'll be sure to put them back." Blue said.
"I'm… not gonna read any books. I'll just be on my phone looking for news." Kinsley said.
"Ok. Feel free to grab a book if you need one. I'll just read what I have in my hand."
I did say I want to mix it up, but she's got a ton of books that I really wish to read. I'm gonna look into these genres.
*NIGHTTIME*
It was nighttime and after reading books, taking a shower in which Scarlett led me to, and putting on my sleeping clothes (I'm wearing a normal white t-shirt along with purple and black shorts. I also let my hair down for tonight.), I was looking out the window at night, thinking about my first adventure with my group. I was so prepared for the moment where I have the opportunity to… do something that no person in the United Kingdom before. I had butterflies in my stomach. It was something that I wanted to do since I was a little kid. And now my dream of saving the world is about to be in progress tomorrow.
This feeling… I really can't bear it. I'm about to save the world. I protected Primp Town. Next stop is the Mushroom Kingdom.
"Hey, Kaze? Are you ok?" I heard Scarlett say as she walked into the room.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine. It's just that I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm really going to another dimension to search for that next stone." I said.
"Oh… ok I just thought you look like a different person." Scarlett said.
"Y-Yeah. I get that a lot. I keep my hair down after I get out of the shower to keep it dry." I said, while blushing.
"But… I'm glad that me and you will be working together to find the next stone. I've noticed from Satan and Ecolo that you are their target and wanted to take you down. As part of the Hyper Family, Me, Lunia and my siblings will do everything we can to help you achieve success, even if it means if you're in danger, we can help get you to safety. But other than that, I'm glad you were able to take a chance on us."
"No… I have to thank you, guys. I wouldn't be the person that I was today if there wasn't anybody that can help me unlock who I really am. As a person. My dream was to not only get magic but to beat up bad guys as well even though I shouldn't be looking for trouble."
"Yeah, you do seem passionate about doing this." Scarlett said while sitting down with me.
"If there wasn't any TV shows or movies that involve magic, I would've been a tennis player at best. But magic and spells do give me interest. I have my mother to thank for actually giving me what I wanted. I did not want to let her down. I really didn't."
"You also could have dreamed of doing the Special Air Service in order to protect your country, you know? I mean, not that I'm forcing you to do so."
"Well… my Dad told me all about the Special Air Service a year ago, but I didn't want to because the Military and magic are two different things. I wanted to have magic because it looks to be the safer route to go as opposed to using firearms."
"I believe you. I wouldn't want to work with firearms either. I guess me and you have a lot in common, I can tell."
"I know. I was thinking about it earlier this afternoon. I'm intelligent, you're intelligent. That's common."
We both went silent for a few minutes until I said this…
"Hey, Scarlett? I know you said that you don't know much about video games, but… how did you know about Primp Town and Suzuran?" I asked.
"When you picked up the red stone after it appeared in the grass somewhere, the proof was getting stronger that you would be the chosen one finding those stones. At first, Lunia was about to rule you out after Satan and Ecolo bludgeoned you, but since the people from Primp Town provided assistance and helped you gain lots of advantage. While you were taking care of your own business, I was gaining intel on what that world was because I had no interest in that world but since it's part of the six dimensions that are going to be destroyed, I had no choice but to do it. I was glad there were people to provide assistance for you. Otherwise, we wouldn't have any leader to take command. Instead, it would have to be my Mom since she was the one who discovers almost everything. You could say that she's no joke when it comes to reconnaissance."
"I see… I was glad a couple of people helped me recover when I had the chance." I said.
"That Ringo girl though… I was about to lose my head when she said something about letting Satan and Ecolo keep the stone, but in the end, I was able to let it go for now since she did buy enough time for someone to take the stone away from them." Scarlett said.
"Yeah, I did want to oppose that as well. I kept my promise on returning it to the United Kingdom so that I could store it where no one's gonna find it. And we already have one stone safe in Hyperdrive City. Which is the red stone."
"I just didn't understand why she would say that out of the blue though. She's more worried about you and we are worried about what's going to happen to the other worlds. That is outright ridiculous."
"I mean, she did say she was worried about me. And she stood up for me since her and Ecolo had a long history as sworn enemies, even though Ecolo seems to be the good guy to Ringo. His personality is super annoying. But we shouldn't worry about the past since it already happened."
"Yeah. That's true. What's done is done so we'll go with that. I was just in disbelief after what she just said, but… she still did a good job in buying you enough time for backup. Hopefully you can step up your game this time, Kaze."
"I will, Scarlett. I already trained hard enough so we'll see what we come up with tomorrow."
"You got that right. Alright, let's get some sleep. I already got your pillow and blanket so you can sleep and blanket so you can sleep on the floor."
"Ok. Thanks, Scarlett." I said.
Scarlett then turned off the lights as we both were going to sleep. But not before Scarlett said this…
"Good night, Kaze."
"Good night, Scarlett." I said.
Then afterwards, we went to sleep.
*BEEP* *BEEP*

…
*BEEP* *BEEP*
"*groan* What's that noise?" I asked as I was starting to wake up from that unusual sound.
"That's my alarm. Sorry." I heard Scarlett say as she was turning off the sound. "I usually wake up when it's 8:30 in the morning."
"Oh ok. *yawn*"
"How did you sleep last night?" Scarlett asked me.
"I slept well. How about you?" I asked her.
"I slept well too. My bed is very perfect for me to sleep in. It's better when you are in a futuristic dimension."
"Yeah. I get it."
"Anyway, let's get refreshed. Today's the big day."
"Alright, let's go."
After we got up from our blankets, fixed them up, brushed our teeth and drinked tea this morning, we went to the living room only to see Blue, Lunia and Kinsley sitting at the living room table.
"Good morning, everyone." I said.
"Good morning." Scarlett said.
"Good morning, Kaze and Scarlett." The three of them said.
"Are you ready to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom today? The stone will be here in approximately 2 hours." Lunia asked.
"Yes, we're ready. I can't believe the day is finally here." I said.
"I know you're well-prepared, Kaze. Hopefully you've slept well."
"Yes, I slept well. I'm ready to go."
"That's great to hear, Kaze. We all are ready to go too." Blue said.
"Hopefully this all goes well. Because if not… this is a shame." Kinsley said.
"We're gonna get what you want. Don't worry, Kinsley. We just gotta stay patient for now." Scarlett said.
"Fine. Whatever you need."
"So do you know where the stone's gonna be located, Lunia?" I asked.
"The stones are located by random so you're gonna have to do a lot of searching for this one. But you're gonna have to do it in record time because there are villains that are gonna start getting their fingers on it too." Lunia said.
"So it's a race to see who gets it first then. Reasonable." Kinsley said with a sweatdrop.
"It was similar to what I went through in Primp Town so we need to fight to get our hands on it." I said.
"So we're gonna need assistance from others. This is more like an investigation." Blue said.
"Rise and shine, people! Y'all ready to start investigating the Mushroom Kingdom?!" Darius asked as he, Kris and Gemma came into the room.
"Looks like someone's ready to tackle this thing." Scarlett said.
"I mean, you gotta be up and at it and that's what I did. Heck, that's what Gem did. The other decided to troll and sleep with headphones on."
"I didn't even set my alarm, bro. Give me a break." Kris said while scratching his head.
"We got an important mission to do today. Should've set an alarm like I did."
"For once, Darius is right. You need to set your alarm next time." Scarlett said. "I guess playing all of your XBOX games got you distracted from doing so."
"We were all playing the Wii last night. That was what Gemma was into, and we were playing the games that she wanted to play." Kris said.
"Well… either way, Kris, just set your alarm next time. You've now learned your lesson." Lunia said.
"Ok, mom."
"So, how's everyone doing this morning? Wait, where's Candace?" Gemma asked.
"She in Alexis's room, taking forever." Darius said while facepalming.
"Did you tell them to come to the living room?" Lunia asked.
"They said they would be on their way. They trying to do their hair and stuff."
"Ok. Well, let's let them look prepared. I don't mind them taking their time."
"Alright."
"Ok, I'm back. Oh, good morning, everyone." Zack said as he came to the living room.
"Good morning, Zack." Everyone said except for Blue, Lunia and Kinsley.
"Is that another one of your inventions?" Darius asked as he looked at Zack's invention.
"Yeah. This is called the DSS. Also known as the "Dangerous Species Sensor". It can track down dangerous species and enemies as we go through important areas or lands. I tested this out earlier and it works in handy."
"That's Zack for you, man. Always staying ahead of the game!" Darius said as he looked like he was in disbelief.
"You are really amazing with your technology, Zack!" Gemma said, smiling brightly.
"I agree. You really are creative with this stuff." I said.
"So not only you made a drink maker, you made that as well. Hopefully I can replicate what you do." Kinsley said.
"Come on, no need for praise. I'm only doing what I can to make this world a better place." Zack said while rubbing his head.
"I mean, you are doing it, Zack. We should be thanking you." Lunia said.
"So… this thing can track down dangerous species and enemies. Do you think it's going to work on villains too?" Scarlett asked.
"I haven't tested that out yet but it's possible that it will. All I need to do is get close to it and I'll hear a beeping sound."
"I see. Well, we'll be heading to the Mushroom Kingdom so be sure to use it when necessary."
"Ok, I will notify you when I get something."
"Good morning to all of you." Candace said in a queenly-like tone as she and Alexis walked into the living room
"About time! What took you so long?!" Darius asked, looking annoyed.
"Oh relax, you." Alexis said. "Candace was showing me how to look even more beautiful in exchange for having to fight like me when it comes to training."
"You just trained yesterday. What did you need to do all that for? To fight like Powerpuff Girls?"
"We both have a lot in common in case you didn't know." Candace said. "I was against having to teach her how to be more beautiful but since she decided to do a little exchange, we both have more tools to use under our belt."
"That's very nice for you two to do that, but you still should've done that last night. We need you to come prepared so please do so next time." Lunia said.
"Fine, mom." Alexis said with a sweatdrop.
"Ok, I hear you, Ms. Lunia." Candace said.
"But other than that, did you both sleep well?"
"Yes. Lady Candace did take quite a nap!" Candace said with enthusiasm.
"So did I. I'm well-prepared to go. Is everyone else?" Alexis asked.
"We all are. It's just that a couple of you were creating delays and whatsoever." I said.
The dire situation is about to begin a few moments so I had no problem with Lunia saying this type of stuff.
"Alright. I want all of you to head to the Laboratory. I notified Dr. Lotus that you will be on your way over." Lunia said.
"Wait, you're not coming with us, Lunia?" Gemma asked.
"Sadly, I cannot, Gemma. I have to stay here and keep a sharp eye on Hyperdrive City since it's one of my duties as a ruler. Sorry if this isn't the answer that you wanted."
"Oh… I see. It's ok though. I got my friends."
"Yeah, you got us, Gemma, so we'll have your back." I asked.
"Wait, who is Dr. Lotus?" Kinsley asked.
"He's the laboratorian of the… Laboratory. He's a valuable resource, almost like Zack when it comes to technology. He lends me important information when it's needed."
"Ok. Makes sense."
"Alright… I'll create a portal then." Scarlett said as she was messing with her telecator.
"Yeah, you do that, Scarlett. Guys, I will be counting on you all. Please remember your training, good luck, please do not goof off. Darius. Alexis. Put in your best effort. I will be watching from here." Lunia said.
"We'll do our best, Lunia. For our sake." I said, with a smile.
"Yes. We won't let you down, Lunia." Blue said.
"I'm gonna put on a show! Don't you worry Ms. Lunia!" Candace shouted.
"Yeah, right! I'm gonna be doing all the work! It's gonna be light work!"
"Hmph! You'll never outlast the champion, Darius! I'll make sure of it!" Candace said with a smirk.
"You're mistaken! This is a video game world we're gonna be in! I'm going to do all the work lickety-split!" Kris said, as he joined in the fray.
"Guys, you're working together. This is no rivalry." I said, trying to prevent any type of heated moment.
"Kaze's right." Scarlett said. "You can't just fight for who's the better contributor. We're all doing this together. Look, the portal's set up right now."
"Alright! Good Luck, everyone! Come back safe!" Lunia said.
We all were now entering inside the portal to head inside the laboratory but once I was able to step in…
"Kaze!" Lunia shouted.
"Huh? What's wrong, Lunia?" I asked her as she stopped me from entering the portal.
"Before you go, I just want to tell you… please be safe. Try your best to think about your parents when you're saving the world. They believe in you so… go stop the mastermind. Find out what's causing all of this."
I went silent after hearing what Lunia said. She's right. My parents are really worried about my safety. I had flashbacks to what happened in Primp Town. I needed to not repeat the same mistakes again. I can make mistakes as a protagonist, but I can't create a repeat of what happened in Primp Town.
"Alright! You have my word, Lunia!" I said, heroically.
"Ok! I'll leave you to it!" Lunia said in the same tone as mine.
After having a small pep talk with Lunia, the portal warped me straight into the laboratory where the others were here with Dr. Lotus.
"Geez, there you are, Kaze. You worried the heck out of us." Blue said as she was worried about me.
"Sorry, Blue. It was Lunia that wanted to talk to me. That wasn't my idea." I said.
"Oh… Ok, then."
"Why, hello there, Miss Kaze. So glad to see you again." I heard Dr. Lotus say as he was standing right in front of us.
"Oh. Hello, Dr. Lotus and… Cordelia? Oh right." I said after not realizing that Cordelia was made by Dr. Lotus.
"Welcome back, Miss Kaze. I am pleased to see you again." Cordelia said as she took a bow to show gratitude.
"A talking robot?! I really can't believe it's real!" Gemma shouted as she was shocked at what she was seeing.
"That's unimaginable. So… this is Dr. Lotus, right?" Kinsley asked, as she was surprised at what she was witnessing.
"That is correct, young lady!" Dr. Lotus said. "I am called Dr. Adonis Lotus, but, as you said, I would prefer to be named Dr. Lotus. And I'm the laboratorian and messenger of Hyperdrive City and this is Cordelia. She is what is known as a SHESR, which stands for "Synthetic Humanoid Elite Supersoldier Robot". I'm the current creator of SHESR so I invent robots like these."
"I am Cordelia. If you have any questions, please be happy to ask. I would happily answer them for you." Cordelia said.
"I have… well… I'll save it for later." Gemma said.
"Please feel free to ask. I don't bite."
"I have a feeling she's gonna ask some unimportant question. Ok, Gemma. Just ask one unimportant question. That's it." Scarlett asked.
"Oh ok. Do you have any type of powers, Cordelia?" Gemma asked.
"Yes. I actually do. However, Dr. Lotus has restricted me from using anything in the laboratory so unfortunately, I cannot show you at the moment." Cordelia said.
"Oh ok."
"Alright, that's one unimportant question." Scarlett said. "Anyway, Dr. Lotus, these four have joined Kaze on our journey to find the yellow stone in the Mushroom Kingdom."
"Ahh, yes! Lunia has told me all about you! Please tell me your names so I won't forget!" Dr. Lotus said.
"My name's Blue Mackenzie. You can call me Blue." Blue said.
"My name's Candace Maxey. The most beautiful fashionista in all of Liverpool. You can call me Candace." Candace said.
"Hiya! I'm Gemma January. You can call me Gemma or Gem! You don't need to be formal." Gemma said.
"And the name's Kinsley White. Just Kinsley will do." Kinsley said.
"It's an honor to meet you, Ms. Blue, Candace, Gemma, and Kinsley. Welcome to the Laboratory. We'll go over all of this stuff another time but I will lead you straight to the dimensional tube so please follow me." Dr. Lotus said as we all followed him.
"So, Dr. Lotus, is the dimensional tube glitch fixed?" Zack asked Dr. Lotus.
"Yes, Mr. Zack, we've finally fixed the glitch on the dimensional tube so you should be able to get there safely."
"Oh, alright. Good."
"Dimensional tube glitch?" I asked.
"Yes, let me explain that." Zack said. "While we were getting preparations on getting the dimensional tube to warp us to different dimensions… there was a glitch in the system that would make you warp to different dimensions… from above the sky. So basically, we all would be skydiving."
"W-WHAAAT?!" Everyone shouted.
"Oh god no!" Darius shouted. "I'm not skydiving! Nope! Nope! I'm afraid of height… wait… we're HGUs. We can fly after all. But that's beside the point! I'm glad that glitch got fixed!"
"You said it! I can't skydive! I can't! I'm too scared!" Alexis shouted.
"Alright, everybody, Let's calm down!" Dr. Lotus said. "Take a deep breath! It's not going to happen! You're going to warp like normal so you all should be safe to go now. I was horrified the first time I did a test run but now everything seems to be under control."
"*sigh* I'm just glad it was planned early so… it was nice that you tested it out even though it was at the cost of your life." I said.
"Oh, I wasn't harmed, silly. I was alright. It was an unexpected error that I needed to fix. That was all."
"I was there too." Cordelia said. "I was terrified about my master since he created me. I am always by his side at all times."
"I know, Cordelia. I'm sorry I left you scared." Dr. Lotus said, trying to console her.
She does have sympathy for him.
"So back to the topic, do we have to use the dimensional tube for when we go to newer dimensions?" Asked Kinsley.
"Correct, Ms. Kinsley. As I haven't tested whether or not the telecators would create portals to the other dimensions such as the Mushroom Kingdom, you would have to take the dimensional tube each time you go to a new world. I've already pinpointed the perfect location for you guys to warp so the tube should take you there in no time flat."
*NOTIFICATION CHIME*
"Ah! That's my watch!" Dr. Lotus as he took no hesitation to use his watch and suddenly…
"*gasp* A text from Lunia! It's here!" Dr. Lotus shouted.
"Wait, the stone's here?!" Darius shouted.
"Correct! The stone's here! Godspeed, Everyone! Inside the tube! We must nab the stone!" Dr. Lotus shouted.
"Oh! Alright, Let's go!" I shouted
"We have to hurry!" Blue shouted.
"Alright, Let's go, Let's go!" Darius shouted.
We all rushed inside the dimensional tube and Dr. Lotus was doing a lot of typing to create a huge portal to the Mushroom Kingdom dimension. It was so sudden that it would appear just after Kinsley would ask about the question. But… the story is just continuing. For me. As we were about to hunt down that yellow stone in the Mushroom Kingdom.
"Alright! The portal is now forming! Be ready to go through!" Dr. Lotus shouted.
"Ok! Are you ready, everyone?!" I asked everyone.
"Yeah!" Everyone said.
"Hell yeah!" Darius surprisingly.
The portal has now formed and we all went inside the portal that will lead us to the Mushroom Kingdom. And that, everyone, is where our big, crazy, chaotic adventure begins. To search for the remaining stones and protect this world from a fatal apocalypse.
Mom, Dad, everybody from the United Kingdom! Your new heroine awaits! I won't let you down!
?'s POV
I've now arrived at this place that our "Lady" says is the Mushroom Kingdom. Not too long ago, she informed me that the stone is near so I'm now attempting to search for it. All while not allowing to follow into the hands of the girl with purple hair.
I do not know much about the Mushroom Kingdom. I've been resurrected, yes, but that was only because our "Lady" revived me, allowing me to get another chance at destroying… everything. I was opposed to it at first, but after remembering what had happened to me, I would not allow the same mistake again, and would destroy everything for real.
This… is my second attempt at destroying everything. And to start off, I approached two green species sleeping before me.
Perhaps they could be… convenient for me.
Author's Note: SURPRISE! TWO CHAPTERS FOR 2024! And to make it pleasing, these two are the last chapters of the United Kingdom arc. 4 Years. 4 Years. Of writing these chapters. This was the most torturing arc… ever. I had writer's block throughout the entire span. THE ENTIRE SPAN! And I finally got through it! Thank God! I was out of ideas, I was looking for ideas! And I am "finally" moving on to the Mushroom Kingdom arc.
I want to give severe apologies for the lack of production throughout the whole United Kingdom arc. It was super frustrating. I was doing my best to figure out what I wanted to say. There were other things getting in the way, there were bugs… everything that was distracting. I finally got it out the way. And hopefully… The Mushroom Kingdom arc is not a repeat of the United Kingdom arc. I'm trying to move on. We need to get straight to the details of the story. I'm tired of having to create side chapters when I haven't planned it yet. But… that doesn't mean there can't be side chapters. There will be side chapters. I just need to be productive while writing it. I gotta shake off the cobwebs. I gotta start being more productive. That's it.
So, as for the story, like I said, The Mushroom Kingdom arc will now begin in the next chapter. Which means, I will be changing the category again. If you kept up with my story, I did say I was gonna change the category every time when we are in a new arc.
