Demon King and his friends took a stand against Drakken Joe and his friends. They defeated the Element 4, but Kyubi was loss as well after making a noble sacrifice. With all of Drakken Joe's forces defeated, Drakken Joe himself is the only one left to defeat. That's what they plan to do. All of them agreed to regroup at the tower, and the first one to make it was Wiseman. After his duel against Laguna, he continued his way towards the tower and soon arrived.
"There it is." Wiseman said as he stared right at it. "It looks like I'm the first one to make it. Sure hope the others are doing okay."
"I think you should be a little more worried about yourself at the moment." Wiseman was on high alert when he heard that voice. He looked around and saw Drakken Joe coming from the tower. It looks like Wiseman will be the first to go against this evil man. "I must admit that I'm a little impressed with you and your friends. You managed to defeat Jinn and the Element 4, but you did end up losing one of your own."
"What are you talking?" Wiseman questioned.
"You mean you weren't made aware that one of your own has fallen? It was Kyubi." Drakken Joe said with Wiseman shocked to hear that.
"No way! There's no way Kyubi could have been defeated!" Wiseman denied.
"Well, she didn't really lose." Joe said. "What happened was that Fie placed her in a trap to use against Demon King. In order to help that guy out, Kyubi made a noble sacrifice. As a result, she was turned into data and absorbed into the tower. The same as you are about to be."
"You creep." Wiseman said as he glared right at him. "I thought you only hurt people, but keep them around to repay whatever they owe you."
"It's true, but this is a big project." Joe said. "They're all still alive, and they're making great use for me to take control of the entire network. Once I have control of the entire network, I'll be the most powerful man in the world. That's actually a good way to settle those who owe some debt to me."
"That's not going to happen!" Wiseman said as he looked ready for a fight. It's not like he can run and get the others. Drakken Joe wouldn't allow him to do that either way. "You said it yourself that you're the only one left now. If I defeat you, this whole mess is going to end."
"You really think you can defeat me? You're brave, if nothing else, but there's a price to be paid." Joe said. "I can't just let you and your buddies walk over me like this. My reputation can't allow it. You'll be joining Kyubi soon enough!" He took on Wiseman's challenge.
"Let's duel!" Both of them said as they were ready to begin their duel and had 4000LP. As the duel was starting, Demon King and Aoneko were running as fast as they could to get to the tower. By the time they got there, they saw the duel was about to commence.
"Look! Wiseman is here!" Demon King said.
"And it looks like we got here just in time. He's about to face Drakken Joe." Eden said. "This is good. If he can actually defeat him, this will all come to an end."
"I better film this one. People would want to see the one responsible for this is defeated." Aoneko said as she started filming with everyone to see.
"I'll make the first move." Joe said. "I'll start my turn by activating Upstart Goblin. This spell allows me to draw one card and gives you 1000LP."
"Wait. He gains life points?" Aoneko questioned as that was rather strange to all of them with Joe drawing a card and Wiseman's life points rising to 5000.
"See? I'm not such a bad guy." Joe said.
"Yeah, right. You wouldn't have done that without it helping you somehow." Wiseman said as he was no fool.
"Very good. I'm afraid you'll have to collect on those life points." Joe said. "I play Dark Payment! When you have more life points than me, I can activate this spell. It has two effects. You can either to lose life points equal to half the difference while I gain that amount, or you can discard every card in your hand. The choice is yours." Neither of those options sounded good to Wiseman, but he had to choose one.
"I can't lose my entire hand before I even get a turn. I'll take the damage." Wiseman said. With that, he got shocked with his life points dropping to 4500 while Joe's increased to the same amount.
"So that's why he increased Wiseman's life points. It was so he could use that spell." Aoneko said.
"And the worst is yet to come." Demon King said.
"I now summon Alchemist Homunculus!" Joe said as he summoned a figure made of different materials appeared on the field with 1000atk points. "I now activate his special ability. By sending him to the graveyard, I can summon a certain monster from my hand." None of them liked how that sounded. "I summon Alchemist Terror Sheng!" He released his monster and summoned out his most terrifying one. The same monster he used against Demon King rose and towered over the entire field with its 3000atk points.
"Not that monster!" Aoneko said as they all remembered it. "That's the same monster he used to nearly crush you!"
"I just hope Wiseman has a way to beat it." Demon King said.
"I think that's enough for this turn. Let's see if you have anything that can beat it." Joe taunted to scared Wiseman, but Wiseman isn't backing down.
"You might have a giant on your side, but I'll find a way to bring it down." Wiseman claimed. "It's my turn! I draw!" He drew his next card as he went at him with bravery. He took a look at his hand and saw there was a great combo set for him. "I summon Machia Word to the field!" He began by summoning his robotic soldier with 1400atk points. "When Machia Word is summoned to the field, I can also summon Machia Excel!" He summoned out the green soldier as it emerged with 1200atk points. "And now I'll tune my level three Machia Excel with my level four Machia Word!" He initiated the synchro process and opened the way for a more powerful monster. "I synchro summon Arsenal!" He summoned out his signature monster with him having 2300atk points.
"He brought out his best monster." Demon King said as he was glad to see that.
"Yeah, but it's not powerful enough." Eden said. "Drakken Joe's Alchemist Terror can't be destroyed either. If there's not more to this, he's still in serious trouble."
"I activate Arsenal's ability!" Wiseman said. "I can now take any equip spell from my deck and add it to my hand. In fact, I think I'll activate two spell cards this time! Grand Ray and Grandee Wing!" He played two equip spells at the same time as Arsenal was given a ray gun on one arm and a sharp blade on another. "I activate the effect of my Grand Ray! Until the end of this turn, one monster loses half of it's attack points! I can't think of a better target than your Alchemist Terror Sheng!" Arsenal took aim with the ray and sliced away at Sheng with his power dropping to 1500. "I'm well aware I can't destroy your giant, but I can still deal some damage! Attack!" Arsenal jumped up to Sheng and tried to strike as hard as he could. True, Sheng wasn't destroyed, but Drakken Joe still lost life points and now had 3700. "I place one card facedown and that ends my turn." Since it was the end of the turn, Sheng's attack points returned to normal
"A pretty good start, but I hope it holds." Aoneko said.
"If that's the best you got, you don't stand a chance." Joe said. "My turn!" He drew his next card and was set to end this. "I could use Sheng's ability, but I can deal more damage by having him attack!" Sheng pulled back its giant fist and have it ignite in flames.
"But even if he attacks, Arsenal's ability will allow it to survive. All he has to do is send one of his equip cards to the graveyard." Demon King said.
"That's right. Using Sheng's ability would mean he can't attack, but now he has two set to protect himself." Aoneko said as they weren't so worried. The attack came down and caused an explosion to go off with Wiseman's life points dropping to 3800.
"Well? Which card did you get rid of?" Joe said. When the dust cleared away, it showed that Arsenal...still had both equip cards on him. "What's this?!"
"Arsenal is still standing and both cards are equipped to him!" Aoneko said.
"How did he do that?" Demon King questioned.
"You think I wouldn't be ready? I saw your duel against Demon King, so I know what to expect from that thing." Wiseman said. "You could destroy all non-fire attribute monsters on the field to deal damage, but can't attack with Sheng. That meant you might attack, but I had something ready for both. The effect of Grandee Wing allows Arsenal to survive being destroyed in battle if I just move Arsenal to an unoccupied spot on the field."
"Another way to prevent Arsenal from being destroyed." Eden said. "This means he doesn't have to remove either equip cards to remove them. Ingenious. He placed himself in a position where it will be most difficult to destroy Arsenal."
"So as long as you have at least one equip card on your monster, you're saying I'm going to have a hard time destroying it?" Joe said. "Well, let's see if I can change that up and force you to get rid of one. Luckily, I have a card ready for something like that. I activate Alchemist Breakdown! This spell card allows me to destroy one monster on the field that is under the effects of an equip card or a continuous spell!"
"That's why I'll just send Grand Ray to the graveyard." Wiseman said as he discarded the card and prevented his monster from being destroyed. "We just discussed that Arsenal won't be destroyed so easily."
"But you can't keep that up." Joe said. "With that, I end my turn."
"And it's my turn!" Wiseman said as he drew his next card. "I'm now activating my trap: Armory Forge! As long as this trap remains on the field, I can take an equip spell from my graveyard and add it to my hand. The downside is that I am unable to use any other spell card for the duration of the turn. That means I'm getting my Grand Ray back." He said as he took the card back.
"I see now. Ingenious!" Eden said.
"What is it?" Demon King questioned.
"Wiseman has set up a powerful cycle that's going to make it difficult for Arsenal to be destroyed while Joe will keep losing power." Eden explained. "By having Arsenal equipped with Grand Ray and Grandee Wing, he can cut a monster's attack points in half to attack and deal damage. Grandee Wing does prevent him from being destroyed once per turn, but there's more. If Drakken Joe finds a way to destroy Arsenal, all Wiseman has to do is send Grand Ray to the graveyard and Arsenal survives."
"And thanks to the power of Grandee Wing, Arsenal can survive being destroyed without the use of his own ability." Aoneko said.
"If you throw in the trap card Wiseman just activated, he's set up quite a cycle that will make defeating Arsenal quite difficult." Eden said. "With a combo like this, Wiseman might actually have a better chance than I thought of defeating Drakken Joe!"
"I see... Not a bad setup you have there." Joe said.
"From what I heard, Laguna said you were immortal. I don't get it, but I can't take any chances." Wiseman said. "Someone has to do something to beat you, and I'll be the one to do it. You're a monster that has to be stopped."
"Immortal? What does that mean?" Aoneko questioned. "How can he be immortal?"
"Listen to you. Talking and acting like some big hero. Do you honestly think you can beat me when you know my reputation?" Joe mocked.
"I do." Wiseman said. He looked over to his friends and thought about what has happened. 'Before, I was just another punk just looking out for myself. When I got involved in these guys... I don't know. Something triggered. For the first time in my live, I'm fighting for something bigger than myself. It isn't really a dull moment with those guys. Now that I've got it, I'm taking him down.' Wiseman is facing someone who claims to be immortal. Despite knowing that, and not understanding it, he stays strong against Drakken Joe.
