"Honestly, what a shitty day." Leo couldn't help but swear whilst sliding into his car. He rubbed a hand over his face from exhaustion, feeling dizzy from lack of sleep.

It was dark out, and he was the only one left in the office, so he was all by himself at the dead of night.

Most Reincarnation stories start with some poser, probably a generic looking guy so that the viewer can put themselves in his shoes, who gets run over by a truck and magically ends up in a fictional world with a huge crowd of girls swooning over him; and an assortment of super overpowered abilities that make him a god amongst men.

Well... he wasn't much like that.

After turning the key multiple times, each one more aggressive than the last, Leo's patience finally grew thin as he slammed his fists down on the steering wheel and yelled. "Piece of junk! No wonder dad never used you!"

Getting out of his car, Leo grumbled to himself in frustration. He'd have to walk home now, and that wasn't something he was looking forward to. Granted, he only lived about twenty minutes away if he walked, but the city was dangerous-

"Aye, give me your car!" A rough voice yelled out from behind his back, making Leo jump slightly as his heartbeat picked up. Still though, his reaction time was a bit slow, so he barely even flinched.

Leo groaned, trying to ease himself as he turned around. "Look, this car is a piece of shit. The only way it's worth more than a hundred pounds is if you scrap it. Just go rob-"

The cock of a gun drew his attention. A cold metal barrel was delicately pushed up against the middle of forehead before he knew what hit him, ready to blow his brains out at any moment if he so much as twitched the wrong way.

The last thing he felt was true terror, as the robber pulled the trigger and-

He screamed at the top of his lungs as his head jolted upwards, eyes wide with fear and sweat forming on his brow, only for his hysteria to fall apart when those thoughtless movements made his head smash against hardwood and he recoiled in pain.

"Christ that hurt." Leo muttered to himself through the aching, feeling a rush hit him as he looked up and stared at... his room?

It certainly had a lot of Yugioh stuff in- it was called Duel Monsters, wasn't it?- not to mention how kiddish it looked. There were posters everywhere, all containing different monsters from Yugioh. There was a Buster Blader, a Dark Magician, a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It was all overwhelming for some reason, and he couldn't quite gather himself.

The white door to his room suddenly opened, and before he could recover he was greeted with a pretty looking woman that had honey brown hair. "Leo, are you okay? I heard a scream, did something happen?"

Recomposing himself, he instinctively tried to brush off the fact his head was throbbing like hell when he saw her concern, managing to utter out. "I'm fine... just a bad dream is all."

The woman gave him a sympathetic look as she kneeled down. "Well, that's not the best start to your day, so how about we get up and dressed. I got you some new cards." She added that last part with a joyful grin; and for some reason it made a surge of joy swell in his chest.

For some reason he broke out into a wide grin, feeling much more energetic than his usual self. "Sure, just give me a moment and I'll be right there!"

She grinned right back. "Of course, just don't keep me waiting too long. I know this is all a big change for you, that's why I wanna make this easy for you. Make sure to have fun today."

That last part made him feel oddly sad, as well as surprised, and that reflected on his face since the woman budged closer with her grin fading a tad.

She pulled him in for a hug, surprising him as she whispered. "I know it's difficult for you right now, but your birthday is a time to be happy. Try to remember that, and know that I am here for you. I can't replace your parents, but I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Happy birthday, Leo."

He took a while to digest her words, and by the time they sunk in the lady had left him alone and shut the door behind her.

Unceremoniously, Leo opened his room's door and stepped out. He was fully clothed thankfully, he never was much of a pyjamas man. Usually, when he was a child, he'd throw himself out the door with enthusiasm on his birthday. Afterall, what kid didn't love a good old fashioned birthday where everything was about them?

This wasn't an ordinary birthday though. In fact, it wasn't even his.

He gently traced the area on his forehead where he was shot, feeling himself shake with fear as the cursed memory flashed through his mind. It felt so clear, so fresh, that it was like he was still there. Like his brains would get scrambled again and he'd be left for dead, and maybe this was just-

He steeled himself when he realised his eyes were getting wet, swiftly wiping the tears away and grit his teeth like a wild animal. He refused to let that moment rule him, he wouldn't cower like a helpless puppy. That wasn't him goddammit!

Stubbornly pushing his emotions down, Leo trekked down the stairs with caution as he scanned the home. It looked like a nice house. The white walls had gotten a tad dark, probably due to lack of a paintjob in a while, but otherwise everything looked great. The windows were clear, the floor was clean, and the air smelled like lavender.

It was almost too pleasant a place to live in; especially since he'd been sleeping in a horrendous apartment for the past few months.

The newly turned boy felt a strange sense of melancholy as he got to the floor. Everything felt good, but it also felt wrong in ways he couldn't describe. The atmosphere in general was almost hard to breath, and his heart ached and yearned for something. Or someone.

Exactly what that was, still eluded him.

He tried to push that feeling down as he stepped into what appeared to be the living room, where the pretty woman from before was sat on the sofa. She made his heart flutter in strange ways, as though she were his... not mother, but something along those lines.

She was important to him.

Upon noticing his staring, her face instantly brightened up as she got up to approach him. "Hey, I thought you'd never get down here. It's rude to keep a lady waiting you know."

Only when she rose to her full height did he realise just how tall she was. Whilst he was no expert, when he was ten years old he was well above average height, and this new body didn't look far behind, yet he had to crane his neck slightly to meet the electric blue eyes of his... mother? Either way, she had to be nearly six foot. For a woman, that was insane.

"Yeah well, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting." He began, trying not to cringe at how high his voice was now. "I just had a lot to think about, and that dream I had just really rattled me. I felt like taking a moment to think it over."

She looked at him longingly for a moment as she gave him another hug and whispered into his ear so gently, like a mother would their child. "Well, it's over now. You don't have to think about anything else today other than enjoying yourself. So, you wanna open some card packs?"

He felt himself daze slightly, though gave a weak nod and that was enough to get himself dragged to the table with gusto. The woman he was with certainly had a lot of gusto, and her energy was infectious. He could already feel his shoulders raise as he relaxed, feeling much happier just by being close to this stranger. It was almost uncomfortable how comfortable he was.

There were a pair of presents on the coffee table, one of which being noticeably bigger than the other, but they were both wrapped very poorly. They had tattered wrapper, as though it had been scrunched up and expanded multiple times, there was cello tape sticking out from the sides, and overall it made for a very unaesthetic sight.

The only way it could have been worse is if he tried to wrap them. Seriously, a child could have done a better job.

He raised an eyebrow at the brown haired woman, who's ears tinted red as she rubbed her head sheepishly. "Okay, so I'm not the best at wrapping presents, but that's fine. Just open them the gifts are what really matter, right?" She tried to push past her poor crafts skills, and he couldn't help but chuckle for it, and that made the tips of her ears turn red from embarrassment

Though he decided to spare her the teasing and focused his attention on his presents. He took one and tore into it, but when he figured out what it was he did a double-take. It was a small stack of Yugioh booster packs. Granted she did mention card packs, and his room was filled with Yugioh merchandise, so it shouldn't have been surprising.

Looking through them, he found they were named Dragon Master, a pack he wasn't aware of, but didn't take the time to question it before opening one. It was still a gift afterall.

The cards he pulled were mostly bad, a disgusting amount of normal monsters were present, though he had... 12 cards in one pack? That was weird, but he wasn't complaining.

He brushed through each card one after the other, and he felt frustrated at how underwhelming they all were. Winged Dragon Guardian of The Fortress. Kaiser Dragon. Baby Dragon. Lesser Dragon. Lightpulsar- wait.

Leo's palm twitched and it was naturally guided towards the last card in the booster. He picked it up and suddenly felt a swell in his head as though he'd gotten a migraine, only for it to fall as soon as it came. It was tiny, and he quickly brushed it off.

He recognised the card, in fact it was his favourite monster. It had a cool design, and on top of that it's effects were good.

Lightpulsar Dragon.

'You can special summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 Light and 1 Dark monster from your graveyard. You can summon this monster from your graveyard by sending 1 Light and 1 Dark monster from your hand to the graveyard. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard: you can target 1 Level 5 or higher Dark Dragon Type monster in your graveyard; Special Summon that target.'

The woman next to him showed appreciation for the monster. "That looks like a pretty cool one. Is it any good?"

"Yeah, it's a pretty awesome monster." He commented, placing it in a rather large pocket on his shirt where it wouldn't get crumpled. "The rest are mostly normal monsters, but I'd say this is a pretty rare pull. I'm definitely gonna use him."

"Yeah, but it feels like all the cards people are into are just dragons? Can't Duelists just pick something else?"

For some reason, her words made him feel defensive and a strange amount of fire leaked into his voice. "What's wrong with dragons?"

"Nothing, but they feel oversaturated. Why can't I see some wizards or fairies, or... hold on." The beautiful woman glanced at her watch off-handedly, and when she noticed the time her eyes widened in realisation.

"You might wanna hurry up with opening those card packs. We need to get to set off for Kaiba land in just fifteen minutes. I should have kept track of time." She chided herself quietly, not noticing how Leo's expression locked up and froze still.

"Sorry, what was that?" He asked, shaking off his stupor. He must have heard her wrong.

"We're going to Kaiba land later, remember." She spoke, not realising the weight those words held. "You haven't known those kids at your new school long, but this is your chance to make some friends and have fun. Things in Japan might seem new and strange, but I've been living here for years and things aren't as different from England as you might think."

Wait, he was in Japan?

Nodding dumbly, he tried not to think about her words and their implications as he opened another pack of cards. He quickly sorted them into two respective piles. One was useful, the other wasn't. It took only a few minutes, since he was only looking through a modest amount of packs, but he knew they were leaving soon so he made sure to pick up his pace and was darting past them all one after the other until just one remained.

He winced as another headache shot through his skull, this one noticeably more violent than the last. It was a spike of pain that hit the moment his hand brushed against one card in particular.

Darkflare Dragon. The dark counterpart to Lightpulsar Dragon; and another of his favourite monsters.

'You can special summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 Light and 1 Dark monster from your graveyard. Once per turn: You can send 1 Dragon Type monster from your hand and deck to the graveyard, then target one card in either graveyard; banish it.'

When his head stopped ringing, Leo placed the card right next to his other dragon where it would be secure. It felt important, especially since he was finding these two amongst a surplus of older cards.

Leo only found about thirty cards that he considered useable by the time he was done. It wasn't enough for a deck, so he made sure to grab just enough normal monsters to push him over the minimum in card capacity. Because, on the off chance this wasn't just a fever dream, he figured that a playable deck would serve him well.

Mixing his two dragons into the deck, he made sure to shuffled the deck adequately and stuff it in his pocket. He could tell he'd be needing it later.

"Leo, are you ready to go?" A warm voice called from behind, and he turned to see the woman from before dressed in a winter coat. "Make sure to put on something warm, it gets cold this time of year. Oh, and bring your other present to the car."

"Okay, but what is it?"

She smiled deviously. "That's a surprise. Now come on."

He gave an awkward smile back, though didn't gauge her reaction to it as he snapped his head around and grabbed the other gift. It was strangely well balanced. Not too heavy, not too light. Whatever it was, he could tell it was his main present.

He followed the woman like a baby duckling, and put on a coat that looked his size, before opening the door and stepping into a cold new world.

Leo felt his mouth dry up. It was too good to be true, this was every kids dream, yet he held it in his own two hands. It was sleek and coloured white, only the blue orb by the top sticking out, plus it looked clean enough to eat off; not that he planned to. Two of the five card slots were folded in, but would fold outwards when used if he wasn't mistaken.

Just holding it was enough to make him reel in awe, this fact made the woman driving him laugh from the front seat at his jaw-dropped expression. "It cost me a pretty penny, but you know me. Your aunt Marlene is loaded, there's no need to worry about a few hundred pounds... or ten thousand Yen if you wanted to be Japanese about it." She muttered that last part under her breath; telling him indirectly both her name and relation to him.

Fully convinced he wasn't dreaming, Leo suddenly felt like the eager child he was supposed to be and asked with wide eyes. "If I find someone willing, can I use this for a bit of Duelling?" His reality was ruined a bit by how cliché this felt, the whole isekai trope was played out, but he wasn't about to let that stop him from making the most of it; even if it was unoriginal.

If he was in the Yugioh world, GX if the appearance of his Duel Disk was anything to go by, then he was going to juice it for every drop. Even if he didn't become a professional Duelist, he'd definitely go to Duel Academy at least. Like hell was he going through regular education again!

The woman- Aunt Marlene- looked surprised, but smiled after a moment. "Knock yourself out. What's the point of having one of those things if you can't break it in? You brought your deck, right?"

He nodded, tapping his coat pocket for emphasis, and she spoke. "Cool, but you'll need to figure that thing out for yourself. I've never used one, and my skills with tech are limited to using tools to edit cards on a computer; and I only learned that because I had to."

Briefly taking note that she designed cards, probably Yugioh ones, he grabbed his Duel Disk and slid it onto his arm like he'd seen characters do in the show many times. At first, he was worried it'd be a bit too big, but that worry disappeared as the device surprised him and the grip adapted to fit his arm size. It seemed that Kaiba really gave people their moneys worth.

Leo made sure to slot in his deck next, ensuring it wouldn't fall out, and started to figure out what the different buttons on his new gadget did. They all had symbols on them, so he could figure out what they all did easily enough. Strange that there was a Bluetooth option on a Duel Disk, but he was hardly one to judge. A good bit of music was always nice, and Kaiba seemed to agree.

When he pushed one option in particular the device unfolded and expanded outwards. Five slots were available on the backrow and monster zones, plus the orb linking the disk together was now lit red. It was amazing to look at, though after a moment he quit his gawking and deactivated it. Though cool, it was hardly practical to move around with whilst extended.

The car suddenly halted and when he stared up, finally ripping his gaze from the Duel Disk, he realised they'd arrived at Kaiba Land. And what a sight it was.

Leo honestly felt some glee, though that fell when he realised he didn't recognise it from his memories. Whilst he couldn't claim for his knowledge of the anime to be perfect, especially since he never rewatched season 4 of the original series, he could definitely recall it all well enough and what he was looking at wasn't a typical amusement park. It wasn't like he remembered in the anime.

Kaiba Land's appearance seemed to be that of a massive dome that looked like it came straight out of The Simpsons. Whilst it wasn't as big as a city, he could tell it was giant even from his position at the end of the car park. He wondered what it was like inside, feeling like he was actually the kid he'd become.

Marlene's cut his amazement short. "We should go, the others will be waiting for us."

He nodded weakly, opening the car door and starting the journey towards the dome. Hopefully it would be a fun day.

Leo should have seen this coming, but listening to the different children talk at his party, he couldn't understand their speech at all. It made a realisation dawn on him, one he'd have to overcome.

Since he didn't understand Japanese, he had nearly no way to socialise with these children. Afterall, how was he meant to socialise with them with a language barrier in the way?!

Marlene gave him a warm smile that he'd come to expect from her, spoke to him in the one language he understood. "I know it must be difficult, you not knowing much Japanese, but I'm sure you guys can find a way around that. Try to make some friends, it'll be good for you."

There was also the fact he was stuck with them, and had to make sure no kids get lost, since the adults had decided it was a good idea to dump them all at a theme park without adult supervision. Fantastic.

He looked over his shoulder, towards a group of Japanese kids who were giggling about something, before turning back to her and being frank. "I'll try, but I'm not sure how this is going to work. I mean, what do I even do when I can't even talk to them?"

"Just play Duel Monsters. I've heard it's a great game for bringing people together, try it out." She patted him on the shoulder, kissing his cheek and embarrassing him, before bidding him goodbye and leaving him to face a horde of children.

He was meant to meet up with her at the entrance in four hours. How in the hell was he meant to burn that much time?!

The group was in lively conversation before he came along, but they all suddenly ceased when he approached and bluntly asked. "Any of you punks know English?" In response he got dead silence, earned the stares of a dozen children, and made the atmosphere awkward. Wonderful.

"I'll take that as a no, but you can't blame me for trying. Anyway, any of you up for a duel?" He tried to move the conversation along, gesturing to his Duel Disk when he saw that multiple of the others kids had Disks of their own. In response a boy walked out of the group.

"koko ni iru dare mo hakujin no otokonoko to kettou shi tai to wa omotsu te iya mase nichi.(Nobody here wants to duel you, white boy.)" He spoke with a hostile tone, and Leo could immediately sense the prejudice held towards him. Some things transcended language he supposed.

He ignored the snickers coming from behind the boy, choosing to send a smirk his way and provoke him. "Wonderful to meet you too. Ready to get thrashed shithead? Since you love white people so much, I feel like showing you how we Brits handle ourselves."

It might have been immature of him to insult some snotty brat like that, but it was still his birthday. He was going to find whatever fun he could get.

The other kid, though not understanding him, got the message and his face contorted in anger as he pointed as his Duel Disk rapidly. "sonnani hidoi kettou wa shi tai no nara , sore de ii! watashi ga anata no o shiri wa ketsu te mo watashi wa seme nai de kudasai!(If you want to duel so badly then fine! Just don't blame me when I kick your ass!)"

"Your on. Where the hell are we doing this?" He asked with an excited grin, eager to duel someone; even if that someone was a complete tool.

Kaiba Land, as it turned out, was a massive theme park centred around Yugioh; or Duel Monsters now he guessed. Sure, a person could enjoy yourself here it they weren't a Duelist, but everything around here generally connected to Duel Monsters in some way.

For example, all the prizes were either Duel Monsters plushies or Duel Monsters cards. Even as they walked towards somewhere to presumably Duel, he could see people exchanging tickets and money for cards and other items. It was cool to see, and he wondered it he'd find any cards he could buy. He planned to build a Dragon centred deck and they were Kaiba's thing, so there would be a lot dragons around here, right?

Admittedly, he was just following the angry Japanese kids. They seemed to know where they were going, so he would trust them to find a place where they could duke it out. In a children's card game that was.

Taking a glance at the child who was throwing a tantrum and noticing how hasty his steps were, Leo felt confident. Even though he was just using a mish mash deck of random booster pack cards, many of which were normal monsters, he didn't have a doubt he could win. This was just some punk kid, and this was an era where most people just used normal monsters, so he'd be good. Probably.

When they arrived at an area that was just Duel field, with some already in use, he noticed that the kid- whatever his name was- wasn't wasting a moment to get into position. His legs were rapid, he was all but running there in fact, yet when he arrived all he did was cross his arms and glare Leo's way.

What a poser.

Meanwhile, he wasn't in any rush. His steps were intentionally slow, just to keep the other boy waiting, and when he finally arrived he made sure to give out a yawn.

His opponent growled. "isoi de kudasai!(Hurry up!)"

"I can't understand you, mate. You might as well be talking to yourself." He spoke with amusement, activating his Duel Disk which flashed as though recognising his opponent. In a split second, his lifepoint meter came to life and jumped to 4000.

This was his first duel, and he didn't plan on losing.

Leo LP: 4000

Japanese kid LP: 4000

"sente wa utsu no wa watashi desu!(I'm taking the first move!)" The Japanese boy declared, not even bothering to ask as he drew his first card.

Leo noticed this, but chose not to comment as he looked at his five cards. Yes, he could make this work fantastic going second.

"Koumori Dragon wa shokan shi masu!(I'll summon Koumori Dragon!)" The boy yelled dramatically, slamming the card down onto his board as a real life dragon appeared in the air above the field. It was a purple dragon with two scaly wings, though it lacked legs, and it snarled menacingly as it landed on his side of the field, inciting some gasps of wonder from the other boys and girls watching.

Koumori Dragon (Atk: 1500/ Def: 1200/ Level 4/ Dark/ Dragon/ Normal)

The boy seemed to get cocky, mumbling something under his breath before... ending his turn?

He was unimpressed. Not by the fact he was looking at a real dragon, that was awesome, but at the boy's play. What was he thinking? As a normal monster, Koumori Dragon had zero protection on it's own. By not setting a trap to protect it, he'd left himself completely open to an attack.

"I'm not impressed." Leo began, drawing his card to start his turn. "First I activate Dragon Shrine. This card will let me send a dragon from my deck to the graveyard, and if it's a normal monster then I can send another dragon." He pulled out his deck, discarding his own Koumori Dragon and Rabidragon to the grave before putting it back.

The other boy, seeing this, laughed and openly mocked him. "omae wa nante oroka nani nichi da. jibun no card wa bochi ni okuru baka wa!?(How stupid are you? What kind of moron sends his own cards to the graveyard?!)" The other kids seemed to agree with him and laughed along.

He sneered in distaste. "Sure, laugh it up assclowns. But, by banishing one Light monster and one Dark monster from my Graveyard I can summon a special monster from my hand!"

Light suddenly overflowed on the battlefield, silencing their snickering, and after a moment a monster began to take shape and solidify.

The dragon he summoned had blue skin clad in shining silver armour that gleamed under the sun, along with black claws that looked sharp enough to tear metal. It's eyes were a deep blood red, and the armour around it's head was shaped like a helmet. Finally, it had a mint blue coloured core that pulsed in it's chest and shined with power.

Lightpulsar Dragon (Atk: 2500/ Def: 1500/ Level 6/ Light/ Dragon/ Effect)

Leo stared in awe at his monster, the world around him shutting out, and for a second he felt it- no, his crimson eyes lock onto him with undeniable signs of sentience; and for a moment he forgot he was looking at a hologram.

Lightpulsar Dragon emanated a presence so ethereal and primal that Koumori Dragon looked downright mediocre in comparison. The detail on each of his scales, the light in his eyes, was a stark contrast to the other monster on his opponents field. He was huge, as tall as a bus, yet he seemed so calm and serene and familiar.

'Master.'

He blinked and looked around to uncover the source of those words, only to find the only possible culprit was his dragon. He was a Duel spirit, and one that was on his side.

A smile tugged at his lips. "I guess I am your master. Well, as your first order, how about destroying this sucker?" He could have sworn he saw his dragon respond, though chose not to linger on it as he continued his turn. "I summon Hunter Dragon!"

A new dragon appeared by his side, this one being smaller than the other dragon's on the field, though still a cool sight to behold. It also made his opponent wince and back away with panic painting his face.

Hunter Dragon (Atk: 1700/Def: 100/ Level 3/ Dark/ Dragon/ Normal)

"Now we enter the battle phase. Hunter Dragon, attack Koumori Dragon!" Upon his orders, the orange winged dragon swooped forward with it's sharp chin upraised as it tackled into Koumori Dragon, tearing it apart and digging into his opponent's lifepoints.

Japanese kid LP: 4000 - 200 = 3800

He wasn't done though. "Now, Lightpulsar Dragon attack him directly!" He knew that having his strongest monster do the direct attack was a bit much, but he felt like teaching the boy some manners.

Lightpulsar Dragon roared as he flew into the air, craning his neck back for a moment as the core in his chest beamed with energy. Then, when he faced his foe once again, he unleashed a bright blue breath attack from his mouth that washed over the boy and sent him falling backwards to the dirt.

Japanese kid LP: 3800 - 2500 = 1300

"I set one card facedown. It's your turn." He concluded in satisfaction. Even if his opponent summoned a stronger monster, his trap would help him as long as they didn't have over 2900 attack points. He was set.

The other boy stood up after a moment, looking quite shaken now that he had a closer look, and he could have sworn their were tears in the brat's eyes. Was he really going to cry about a card game? That was disappointing.

His opponent drew with a dejected look on his face, one that almost made him feel bad, and uttered out. "monster wa set shi te, jibun no tan wa shuuryou suru." (I set a monster, and end my turn.)

Leo waited expectantly for more, only to be met with silence as some of the kids on the side gestured for him to continue. Wait, it was his turn? Did the other boy really have nothing else to play? Not even a bluff spell card to ward off an attack?

He watched as the other boy sniffed, about to cry, but brushed his pity aside as he drew a card and felt some dissatisfaction. It was Darkflare Dragon, yet another card he could tell had a monster spirit in. He wanted to play his other dragon pretty badly, but even if he could that would just be overkill at this point.

Everything he needed was already on the field afterall.

"I reveal my trap, Tyrant Wings! By equipping this to a monster it gains 400 attack points and it can attack twice! I equip it to Lightpulsar Dragon!" He yelled out, knowing the other boy couldn't understand him, but feeling the need to announce his victory anyway.

The light dragon roared and flapped his wings wildly, with the limbs turning into pure white light, as his attack points rose and he glared down at his opponent with enough intensity to make him flinch and back away.

(Atk: 2500 - 2900)

Leo allowed himself to smile, the feeling of victory settling in as he pointed forward. "Now, wipe this sucker out for good and end this!"

Those words were enough to spark his dragon into action. The blue dragon flapped his wings as he rose up, charging up for another assault, and unleashed a beam of pure blue energy that rained down on both the unknown set monster and it's owner, that wiped out the rest of his lifepoints and ended the Duel.

Japanese kid LP: 1300 - 2500 = 0

As the kid lied on the floor, defeated and in a daze, he just stared up at the sky and seemed to question himself for a moment. Which was good, that meant he probably learned something. Hopefully he'd been humbled out.

He turned away as the wasted child began to cry, paying him no mind. Instead, his eyes were set on just two monsters in his hand; one of which had just won him the Duel.

Lightpulsar Dragon and Darkflare Dragon. They were Duel spirits, there was no question about that in his mind. What he heard during the Duel was evidence of that. Even if he couldn't talk to them freely, at least for now, they were present and they were there for him.

A grin flourished on his face as he put them back into his deck; feeling optimistic for the next few years.

It was only his first day, but he already knew exactly what to do. Afterall, he couldn't just wait around doing nothing until he entered Duel Academy could he?

I wanted to start this because I've been reading Stacking The Deck written by 0 Jordinio 0 and got hooked.
