It had been three weeks since Izumi Miyamura and his friends had discovered the secret area within the park. Ever since that day, they had been having the best time together, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Izumi's close-knit group of friends consisted of Toru Ishikawa, Yuki Yoshikawa, Kakeru Sengoku, Remi Ayasaki, Sakura Kono, Akane Yanagi, and Shu Iura. Along with his old two favorite best friends, Mika Sasaki and Hiroshi Myoga, they formed an unbreakable bond.
However, there was one person who had recently entered Izumi's life and changed everything. Her name was Aimi Amano, the most popular girl in their school. She possessed not only beauty but also kindness and positive characteristics that made her stand out from the rest.
Aimi and Miyamura had been spending more time with each other, both in their school rooftop and their secret area within the park. They also found solace in the student council room, where they would often retreat and engage in deep conversations.
Soon enough, rumors began to spread about Aimi and Miyamura secretly dating. Whispers and speculations filled the hallways, reaching the ears of their friends. Toru, Yuki, Sengoku , Remi, Sakura, Akane, Shu, Mika, and Hiroshi were all curious to know the truth behind their increasing closeness.
One afternoon, during their regular gathering at the secret area within the park, the friends decided to address the rumors. As they sat in a circle on the comfortable grass, the tension was palpable in the air.
Toru, broke the silence. "So, Miyamura, what's the deal with you and Aimi?"
Miyamura, being unusually flustered, glanced at his friends. "What do you mean, Toru? We're just good friends."
Sengoku, smirked mischievously. "Oh really? That's not what everyone's been saying, you know."
Yuki, interjected. "Come on, guys, can't we trust Miyamura to be honest with us?"
Remi nodded in agreement. "Exactly, let's not jump to conclusions before we hear Miyamura out."
Sakura, spoke softly. "Miyamura, we just want to make sure you're happy. If being with Aimi brings you joy, then we're happy for you too."
Akane, added, "We trust your judgment, Miyamura. If you say it's just a friendship, then we'll believe you."
Shu, smiled warmly. "Ultimately, what matters is that we're all here, together, as friends. That's what has made our bond so special."
Mika and Hiroshi, the longest-standing friends of Miyamura, exchanged knowing glances. "You've always been there for us, Miyamura, through thick and thin," Hiroshi said.
Mika continued, "Whether you're dating Aimi or not, our friendship will remain unchanged. We'll support you no matter what."
Touched by his friends' understanding and acceptance, Miyamura felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. "Thank you, all of you. Aimi and I are just friends for now, but who knows what the future holds. What's important is that we have each other's backs."
And with those words, the tension dissipated, replaced by laughter and camaraderie. They continued to enjoy their time together, creating new memories while cherishing the old ones that had slowly started to fade.
One day at Katagiri school, emotions ran high in the corridors. Kyoko Hori, with a storm brewing within her, couldn't bear the sight of Aimi and Miyamura together. Memories of her time with Izumi flooded her mind, and the pain of their breakup still lingered.
Unable to contain her jealousy any longer, Kyoko sought Aimi out in the secluded school yard, away from prying eyes and ears. There, she unleashed her anger, telling Aimi about Miyamura's supposed "bad deeds."
"Listen, Aimi," Kyoko began, her voice dripping with bitterness. "You need to know the truth about Izumi Miyamura. He's not the person you think he is. He's done some terrible things."
Aimi, taken aback by Kyoko's sudden outpouring of negativity, tried to temper her words. "Kyoko, I know Izumi well. He's a kind and gentle soul. What are you talking about?"
Kyoko smirked, enjoying the satisfaction she felt in stirring up drama. "Oh, you think so? Well, let me tell you. He's been deceiving everyone. He's not the sweet and innocent guy you believe him to be. He's been leading a double life, hurting people along the way."
Aimi's anger started to rise, but she tried to stay composed, knowing that Kyoko had her own motives for saying such things. "Kyoko, I appreciate your concern, but I know Miyamura-kun better than anyone. If there's something you want to say, just say it. Don't try to tarnish his reputation with baseless claims."
To Kyoko's surprise, Aimi was unfazed, fully aware of the positive qualities that defined Izumi Miyamura.
Aimi knew Miyamura as a kind-hearted and gentle person, contrary to what Kyoko was now claiming. However, Kyoko persisted, fabricating lie after lie about Miyamura's actions. The more she spoke, the more Aimi's anger grew. It wasn't the lies themselves that enraged her, but the fact that they were inaccurate representations of Miyamura.
Just as the tension between Kyoko and Aimi reached its peak, Aimi's friends, Yuki, Remi, Sakura, and Mika, arrived at the scene. Their perfect timing spared the situation from escalating further. They listened intently to Kyoko's words, disappointment etched on their faces as they realized the lies she was spewing about Miyamura.
Yuki, known for her gentle nature, spoke up first. "Kyoko, why are you saying such things about Izumi? We've known him for a long time, and he's always been kind and considerate. We've seen firsthand the positive deeds he has done."
Remi chimed in, her voice filled with sadness. "It's unfair to judge someone based on lies, Kyoko. Miyamura-san is a wonderful person, and we all appreciate him for who he truly is."
Sakura, feeling a surge of protectiveness, added, "Kyoko, I've seen Miyamura help others without expecting anything in return. Your words are hurting not just him, but all of us who genuinely care about him."
Mika, with a glimmer of defiance, spoke the last words, "If you can't see how mistaken you are, then I don't know what else to say. I refuse to believe your lies about Miyamura. He is my oldest best friend I ever have, the words you say about him are none of that."
Kyoko's anger intensified as their words sank in. She didn't utter a single word after, her face flushed with frustration and embarrassment. Slowly, she turned and walked away from the group, the weight of her misconceptions weighing heavily on her shoulders.
As Aimi and her friends stood together, they shared a sigh of relief. Their loyalty and unwavering belief in Miyamura had prevailed, and Kyoko's attempts to tarnish his reputation had been thwarted. They knew that the bond they shared with Izumi Miyamura was based on truth, genuine friendship, and love – qualities that could not be shattered by lies.
