I'm experimenting in this fandom. Let's see where this fic takes me.
Not a native English speaker and nothing belongs to me, except any OC and the plot. The characters you can recognize, belong to the anime My New Boss Is Goofy by Dan Ichikawa.
It would be a lie to say that Momose never expected it to happen as he was reading about the new publicity project. It didn't include his boss, Shirosaki. Instead, it was a project entirely for him.
It made sense since his training had ended months ago, and Shirosaki thought he was ready.
"Wait a minute!" Kinjou exclaimed over Momose's shoulder once he looked at the company logo. "Wait a minute...!"
He turned to look over Shirosaki's shoulder.
"Both of you, look at your memos!"
Spinning his chair over three times before turning to look at Momose, Shirosaki looked at his new project and the company logo for five minutes before Momose realized what Kinjou noticed, and they both didn't.
"You two are working for companies that are rivals!" Kinjou exclaimed, calling the attention of their department boss, who had been looking at the exchange, but as always, nobody noticed his presence.
"Are you two rivals this time?" Aoyama looked at both memos as Kinjou acknowledged his presence, stunned as never before.
A competition with his boss? Momose thought nervously. Of course, Shirosaki would create a stunning publicity campaign, and he wouldn't have any opportunity. Not that he wouldn't celebrate the success of his boss, but...
"We have to give our 100%, Momose," Shirosaki said, apparently unfazed by the thought that now the two of them had to compete against each other. Or maybe not understanding the meaning of it.
"Well, this will be quite interesting to see!" Kinjou exclaimed. "It will be difficult to pick sides!" He exclaimed, looking at Momose and Shirosaki. "This is your time to shine, Momose! You could show our boss, Shirosaki-Kun, how much you have progressed under his guidance!"
Had he progressed? He became stronger in terms of not fearing the cruelty of any boss anymore and was more confident with his ideas for different projects. But did he improve enough to win against Shirosaki on a publicity campaign?
And why was he thinking about 'winning'? It was Kinjou's idea that it was a competition. Right?
