Chapter One -

Lulu Spencer had thought about it over and over, until the thoughts were embedded into her head. Lulu had to cut Johnny out of her life, that was the only way she would ever have any peace. Maybe Logan would be happy with her if she did that, maybe things would finally calm down. Maybe she just wouldn't go to The Haunted Star or the overlook anymore, where else could she possibly run into him? She would go out of her way to avoid him, because that's what she needed. Logan was the safe choice, that's what she needed. Right? Logan only beat her to make her see the truth but, how come the truth was so painful? Lulu felt that she couldn't think for herself anymore, did she really trust him to speak for her? Before she could ponder her thoughts, the door to Logan's apartment slammed making her jump.

"Lesley Lu Spencer, you're coming with me right now!" Lucky Spencer knew that something was going on with his sister, he wasn't about to watch her become a shell of herself.

"She's not going anywhere with you, she's here because she wants to be. Lulu loves me. Isn't that right, sweetie?* Logan smirked, placing a cold hard gaze on her. It scared her, there was nothing about the look he had just given her.

"Lulu?" Lucky asked, searching her hazel eyes for anything. Any sign that she was being held here.

"Take me to Johnny." Shot out of her mouth, all resolve left her body when she got that look from Logan.

"I SAID NO! WHAT I SAY GOES! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU THAT YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THESE PEOPLE?" Logan screamed at her, placing his hands around her throat and choking her.

"I'll fucking shoot you, you piece of shit. Let go of my sister." Lucky expertly trained his gun on Logan, Logan reluctantly let go of her throat as Lulu breathed in ragged breaths.

"I'm taking my sister to Johnny Zacchara. Pack your stuff Lulu, we're leaving." Lucky kept his gun trained on Logan the whole time, as Lulu packed up her things.

"You're never going to get rid of me, Lulu. You know that." Logan growled at her, Lucky hit him over the head with his gun and they left.

"I should have known something was wrong when you said you were going to stop seeing Johnny Zacchara." Lucky sighed as they got in the car.

Back at The Haunted Star, Johnny and Luke were talking behind the bar.

"She said that she didn't want to see me…I can't think of anything I've done. Did she mention anything?" Johnny was completely baffled by Lulu's words.

"Young Zacchara, my daughter hasn't been around. I think that Baldwin's spawn has everything to do with it. He got in her head, he's trying to isolate her so that she feels worthless." Luke spoke with anger in his voice, angrily shaking his head.

"Hayes better hope that's not true, because I'll kill him. I'm dead serious." Johnny's blood boiled just at the thought.

"As much as I would love that, I wouldn't want you to catch a murder charge." Luke slightly chuckled.

"Yeah, you're right. I just wish she would talk to me. I…miss her. I know we weren't a couple or anything but, the highlight of my day was getting text messages from her. Lulu would call me while she was at work or FaceTime me when she was at home. I think I might be falling in love with your daughter, as crazy as it sounds. We've known each other for maybe three months at most." Johnny really missed her, she was everything.

"It's not crazy, I fell in love with Laura the day I met her. I'm sure that she misses you too, she's just not herself right now. Lulu has her mother's heart, she feels guilty for literally everything in her life ever. She's empathetic to a fault, God bless her. She will come back from this, she's a Spencer." Luke knew his daughter, she would come around.

The two men heard footsteps coming up the deck, both of them were shocked to see Lulu Spencer walking onto the boat and through the entrance.

"Lucky dropped me off, I'm gonna stay here. I don't feel like answering questions from Edward and Monica." Was all she said, dropping her bags onto the floor.

"That's fine, you know that." Luke takes in his daughter's appearance, she rarely went out without makeup…she wasn't wearing any. Luke noticed the bruises and scars, he didn't bring attention to it.

"Lucky might get arrested, he hit Logan over the head with his gun…because he saw Logan choking me. You might wanna check on him." Lulu sighed, there was no more denying what was going on.

"Your brother can handle himself, I'll bail him out if worse comes to worse. What I'm worried about is you." Both Luke and Johnny came out from behind the bar as Lulu sat on the couch.

"I know what I said, I don't stand by it. I just couldn't get a moment by myself to think for myself, so I just…gave in. I wouldn't be surprised if I got fired, I've been stuck there in the same spot for at least a month." Lulu was thinking much more clearly now that she was away from Logan.

"I didn't think you did." Johnny sighed, he didn't know what to say. How long had the abuse been going on? Obviously she wasn't okay, her hands were shaking.

"I never wanted you to see me like this, that's why I said it. You shouldn't have to." For the first time Lulu looked at him, he noticed that she looked like she was going to start crying.

"Lulu, it never mattered to me how you look. Makeup doesn't make you who you are, don't be sorry. You being here is more important to me than anything else, you are the one person who gives me hope. Before I met you my life was…hell, nothing to brag about." Johnny didn't see how she didn't see that Lulu was everything to him.

"I'm going to give you two some time, I should get home to Spanky anyhow. I love you, cupcake." Luke presses a kiss to his daughter's head before leaving, knowing they had a lot to talk about.

"I give you hope?" Lulu asked, cluelessly.

"Of course you do, how could you not? You're literally the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen, Maxie Jones shouldn't even be a thought in your mind. You are…the perfect woman." Johnny could go on and on but he stopped because he saw a hint of a smile.

"That's a first, I've never heard anyone say anything like that to me before. Like, ever. I'm not even presentable right now and you're telling me all these sweet things about myself." Lulu shakes her head but she couldn't help but to smile.

"It's true, that's how I feel. You've been after me about this push pull thing I've been doing and you're right, I'm tired of pretending that I don't feel things for you. I do." Lulu has been waiting to hear this for three months, she looked at him in awe.

"You know, I feel it too. I was trying to outrun my heart, and that's just not practical. I was settling because I was nervous, I've never felt this way before. Ever. I usually run when that happens so I did, I shouldn't have." Lulu glanced down at her shaking hands, Johnny noticed that she was avoiding his eyes and took her hands in his.

"It's okay, it's not like I didn't do the exact same thing with you for months. All that matters is this moment that we're in now, that we're together. I've never done this before, I've never even been in a relationship. I always thought that it was never a possibility to be happy, I thought it died with my mom. You came out of nowhere, even when you're down you are literally the human form of sunshine." Johnny smiled at her, she finally let herself relax for the first time since she'd gotten here.

"Well, you're doing everything right." Lulu was going to say more but they were interrupted by her stomach growling.

"I'll order a pizza." Johnny smirks, pulling out his phone.
