Beginning AN: here it is the next chapter. read and review but flame reviews will be ignored. that poll I mentioned in the previous chapter now has two votes 1 vote for me to create the reading variants of my stories myself and 1 vote for anyone who is brave enough to take up the task. the first choice to 100 votes or I complete any of my stories will determine what happens. as to when most stories will end it'll be when Voldemort is dead for good but there may be stories that extend past it. now on with the story.
Chapter 32: Harry Potter Year 2 part 2
On the train Tooty, Hermione, Banjo, Kazooie, and Gruntilda rode the express while playing different games, when Hermione and Tooty left to go to the bathroom on the way hack they found Cho Chang and her friends bullying a young first year, calling her names like Loony. After getting them to leave they brought Luna back to their carriage and got to know her. Once they got to Hogwarts the sorting ceremony placed Luna in Ravenclaw.
After the ceremony they returned to the dorms but before they went to bed, Tooty gathered everyone up and said "Before anyone gets any bright ideas of bullying Luna like Cho and her friends did on the train know that you would be making an enemy of House Potter and House Black."
Cho Chang then retorted "by what authority do you claim to have a right to those houses Potter?"
"First off try to remember that my parents were James and Lily Potter so that makes me the heir to House Potter if not the Head of it due to being the only main branch member left." Tooty responded.
Terry Boot hears this and adds his two cents on the subject by saying "You're the Head of House Potter because you're the last one left of the main branch."
Tooty says "Thanks for that info. now as to why I have a claim to House Black aside from the fact that Lord Sirius Black is my godfather who here has heard of my grandparents on my father's side?"
Cho Chang says "Yeah we know of them due to most of us having parents that knew them on one level or another. They were Charlus Potter and Dorea Potter nee' Black."
And as if it just dawned on her that she just answered her own question she says "Oh bloody hell you're the great niece of the previous Lord Black, Arcturus Black since Dorea was his sister."
Tooty says starting in a joking manner "Bingo we have a winner give her a prize." and she in a more serious tone continues by saying "Now does anyone really want to make an enemy of both the House of Potter and the House of Black."
Everyone says "No we don't."
Tooty says "good because i am protective of my friends and starting now I Tooty Potter swear on my life and magic that Luna Lovegood is under the protection of House Potter and House Black and will come to her aid whenever she needs help so mote it be."
"So mote it be." A voice behind them said revealing Sirius. "Glad you said that. Gruntilda told me about how you met Luna while she was being bullied and I came to tell you that I would help with any payback you desired. In school I was a part of a group of pranksters called the marauders, and while we did cross the line to bullies ourselves several times without realizing it, we made it up, though without letting anyone know it was us, and our primary targets were bullies due to our dislike of them. Well them and Snape. Something about him just rubs us the wrong way."
After that was over Hermione, and Tooty go to their bedroom and are joined by Luna since she didn't want to sleep by herself and she was touched that anyone would defend her against her bullies and as a result the beginnings of a soul bond starts to form between Tooty, Hermione and Luna since Tooty and Hermione were the first people to accept her for the way she is without reservations. and she joins Tooty in her bed and they all go to sleep.
The school year passed with Tooty and Hermione getting closer to Luna, and they had a lot of fun until Halloween when there was an attack that led to Filch's cat being petrified, then there was a rogue bludger that attacked Tooty during the quidditch match that Gruntilda blocked then there was a house elf trying to convince Tooty to leave while calling her Harry and then there was another attack actually killing Filch, but since he was a squib most of the pure bloods didn't care, and well no one liked him anyway among the not purebloods, and then a third attack on Justin finch fletchley, and nearly headless nick leaving both paralyzed.
The only clue was a message written in blood: The chamber of Secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir beware.
This led to believing Slytherin was the culprits, but not even the teachers could get proof.
Now it was Christmas break and Tooty, Luna, and Hermione, were in the bathroom making a thing of Polyjuice for Luna and Hermione to sneak in to the Slytherin common room since as the only humans they were the only ones who could take it.
Unfortunately they were not expecting what happened. Tooty had given Luna a bracelet made out of her fur and Hermione's hair. But as she put the hair of Daphne Greengrass in a single piece of Tooty's fur fell in without anyone noticing and Luna who went first was turned into a half human half bear hybrid with fine fur, and bear ears and tail. This surprised Hermione so much she startled causing her feather accessory to fall off and land in her potion that did not have any hair yet. This caused her to stop and step back where she tripped over the cauldron and fell leading to Hermione being on her back looking straight up and her potion being tossed into the air and flip over so that it landed opening down directly into her mouth causing the potion to drain down her throat and turn her into a female breegull. Sighing Tooty took them both to madam Pomphrey.
She tried to fix them, even calling Snape and Gruntilda for help, but all they managed was to give Luna back her hair and eye color. And for some reason giving Hermione feathers in the Ravenclaw house colors. None of them are sure how but their internal magic had accepted the changes and made them permanent.
Gruntilda scolded them while Pomphey informed the others.
After some teasing(and Kazooie being ecstatic that there is another Breegull, one who is her sister even if she used to be human) Kazooie gave Hermione a lavender colored backpack as a joke only to find that like Kazooie Hermione's magic liked the backpack so much it would not let her leave, so Tooty started carrying Hermione around.
They also Invite Luna for the summer, though she is going to spend the first part with her dad.
Instead of trying the Polyjuice Potion approach again the three of them goes to the library to look up on what creature has the ability to petrify and kill. She finds out that the creature in question is a basilisk which they tell Gruntilda and the faculty when they meet up again leading Banjo and Kazooie to teach Tooty and Hermione every move they used during their adventure, including the WonderWing.
