"Thanks for helping with my math homework, Adrien," Marinette told her boyfriend. "No problem, I'm happy to help. And we got to spend a little extra time together." Marinette gave him a hug, then sighed as she felt her phone buzz. Time for Tikki's morning cookie before school started.

"I need to go to my locker, but I'll be back in a minute," Marinette said. "I already miss you," Adrien grinned, squeezing her hand. "Silly, I'm still right here," Marinette ruffled his hair as she walked past, her pen dropping out of her bag.

Adrien was about to call out, when he stopped. Pens had become one of his favorite toys as Cat Noir, and hey, it would help pass the time if he could play "Roll the pen off the desk". Adrien glanced at the clock. He had enough a time to play one short game. And if Marinette or another classmate came back early, he could of some excuse.

Soon, Cat was leaping from desk, having a marvelous time. He crouched down, tail and bottom wiggling as he focused in on the pen balancing on the stairs. Pounce! Cat gave a happy trill, then froze as he heard footsteps.

"I just don't understand," he heard Marinette say aloud, "One minute it was in my bag, and the next moment, it was gone." "Maybe it just rolled onto the floor or under a desk," Alya suggested. He heard Marinette let out a sigh of frustration. "Its not here. Pens just walk away!"

"Claws In," Adrien whispered, hiding under one the desk, and casually standing up, placing the pen in his pocket. "Missing something?" Marinette gave a small squeak in surprise. "Adrien! Where did you come from?" "I've been here the whole time." "Have you seen my…."

"Good morning, everyone!" Ms. B bustled in, along with the rest of their classmates.

"Ms. B? Do you have an extra pen?" Marinette asked. "Wait, here it is, Marinette! Under my desk!" Adrien handed her the pen, before Ms. B could say anything. Marinette smiled. "Thanks, love. I owe a kiss later!"

Adrien settled in his seat happily. Okay, maybe he should have told Marinette about the pen before she left the room, but a kiss was to good to pass up!
