*3rd Person P.O.V*

In Burgess Jamie and his friends were back in school however Jamie wasn't paying attention as he had something else on his mind. Jamie's thoughts were focused on his favorite guardian as he could sense something had happened to him but, his friends kept saying that Jack was simply on his off season and would be back in winter. Despite what his friends said about it being Jack's off season Jamie found it hard to believe them as the feeling he was getting was of unease and had gotten worse in the last couple days which didn't help ease his mind.

For Jamie he felt his friends were being rather calm about things but, for some reason he felt that his connection with jack went deeper then he initially thought as he felt as if Jack was like his older brother. Not in the literally sense of course but, in the metaphorical one. When he saw Jack the first time something in his heart seemed to cry out as if he had known Jack his entire life despite only just meeting him. Something had felt familiar about Jack and that's what's been bugging Jamie.

Jamie's thoughts have been on loop with the same questions for the last few days and a few of the thoughts were "Why does Jack seem so familiar and yet not?" "Why does it feel like I've known him sense I was able to think conscious thoughts that I can remember?" "Why did Jack stay at the lake for so many years despite being able to fly where ever he wanted?" And finally "why did Jack instinctively freeze the lake to last all year round even when he was not present?"

Jamie was soon snapped out of his thoughts when the school bell rang to signal the end of the day and when he got outside he had figured it would be yet another day without any big events however that soon changed as he was circled by a gust of wind that felt a little colder then the outside temperature and seemed to speak however Jamie was unable to understand what it was saying though soon he felt something cool to the touch in his hand. When he looked down that's when he relized he was holding a snowflake with a very unique design to it and knew only one person could create something so intricate and make it so it didn't melt easily. As Jamie started looking around trying to find signs of Jack his bus decided to pull up cutting his search short.

With one last glance around his surroundings Jamie climbed into the bus and took his seat and kept looking at the singular snowflake hoping it didn't melt before his sister could see it unaware that he had been followed by a fire scout sense he had gotten the snowflake.

*North's place*

Back in Santa Clausen North and the other guardians had been called to the globe room by Phil who had slammed the door open and accidentally scared everyone in the dining room especially Jack who had quite literally jumped about a foot out of his seat and landed on his back. Phil had shouted something in yetish and had led everyone to the globe room where manny was shining a light beam on burgess which caused everyone to become on edge especially Jack who was currently being supported by Aster as he took up the job of watcher.

Aster had primarily assigned himself as Jack's watcher not only because of him loving jack but, it was also so he could watch Jack's movements just in case he decided to bolt and go to Burgess in his weakened state. For now none of the guardians actually planned on letting him go alone especially sense these calls from manny seem to be a warning for us to protect jack despite Manny not being physically present except for the moon beams that were currently shining on jack.

The next thing that happened however nobody was expecting as they could hear manny speak to them directly in their minds warning them of the new threat that was in the shape of a giant animal of flame that was soon going to wake from its six hundred year sleep and would cause chaos similar to the dark ages but, with only one goal in mind. It wants to make the earth its new home and all of those not associated with fire or heat it wants to kill or forcibly change them to be part of the fire spirit's group.

This news alone was unsettling but, manny countinued on warning us that jack was the main one in danger as the spirit's planned on setting the creature on jack if they got the chance and warned that arriving in burgess would not be advisable until mother nature talked them down or the creature became dormant. This of course made Jack frustrated and concerned for the kids in Burgess and toothiana had to step in and place a very gentle hand on Jack's back and told him that they would figure something out to help the kids but he needed to listen to manny especially sense it was his life on the line and not the kids.

Jack reluctantly put his staff back over his shoulder and stayed put acknowledging toothiana with a small nod before getting back in his spot for Manny to continue. Manny soon went on to say that he had already talked to mother nature on the matter and that she was making preparations to talk to them however he had requested that the guardians kept watch on Jack so he didn't wander off for the time being.

This statement got a acknowledgement from everyone but Jack as his grip on his staff got tighter which was a very good indicator that he was on the brink of anger and before anyone knew he had left the room only stopping to leave his staff in the room before snapping "if you don't want me to leave fine but, if anything happens to Jamie and his friends because I didn't help just know I will never forgive myself" with that jack slammed the door leaving the room in stunned silence. Even Manny didn't speak for a time though his sadness could be felt by the others before he spoke once more leaving everyone surprised with what he said "I'm just trying to protect him. I'm just trying to protect the reincarnation of nightlight".
