Chapter one
King Atlan sat on his grand throne, the shimmering light from the underwater sun casting a golden glow upon his regal figure. His long, flowing beard swayed gently in the current as he leaned forward, eyes fixed on the map spread before him. His two children, Delmar and Miranda, stood by his side, their scales shimmering in various shades of blue and green.
"Father," Delmar began, his voice tinged with arrogance that mirrored his appearance, "I have been thinking. With the vastness of our kingdom and our powerful armies, don't you believe it's time we expand our rule?"
The king's eyes shifted to his son, a hint of concern lingering. "Delmar, my son," he replied. "Expansion is not to be taken lightly. We must consider the consequences and the delicate balance of our realm. We have a duty to protect and care for our beloved Atlantis."
Miranda, unlike her brother, possessed a gentler nature. Her large, expressive eyes sparkled with curiosity as she interjected, "Father, I understand Delmar's desire for adventure and growth, but surely there must be a way to expand Atlantis without upsetting the balance. What do you think?"
King Atlan sighed, his gaze now drawn to the vast expanse of the sea beyond the borders of Atlantis. "My children, you must understand that our relationship with the rest of the sea has been stormy at best. For centuries, Atlantis and King Neptune's realm had battled for dominance. Thanks to the peace treaty we established, we now hold all territories except for one small town called Bikini Bottom."
Delmar scoffed, his arrogance seeping through his words. "Bikini Bottom? What a pitiful little place to hold out against our might. We could conquer it with ease."
Miranda shot her brother a disapproving look before turning her attention back to her father. "Father, perhaps we should take a different approach. Instead of expanding through force, what if we sought to build bridges of friendship with Bikini Bottom and its inhabitants? That way, we can bring unity to the sea and ensure a lasting peace between our kingdoms."
Atlan's eyes widened in surprise, pride shining through the depths of his gaze. "Miranda, my dear daughter, your words speak true wisdom. A Goddess like you sees value not only in power but in compassion and understanding. Yes, we shall seek friendship with Bikini Bottom and extend the hand of peace."
As the days passed, messengers were sent to the town, carrying letters from Miranda, inviting the Bikini Bottom inhabitants to join in a grand celebration to mark the beginning of this newfound friendship. Delmar scoffed at the idea, mocking his sister's efforts, but Miranda remained steadfast and continued to plan. The day of the celebration arrived, and the merfolk of Atlantis eagerly awaited the arrival of their newfound friends. In the midst of the festivities, a peculiar sight caught Miranda's eye. Amidst the colorful crowd, a little sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants stood, his wide smile stretching from ear to ear.
Miranda couldn't help but wave at the little sponge, and he waved back. His friend, a sea star, was also there with him and it seemed like he and the sponge were having a good time. It made her wonder about friendship, even when they looked different, they still had became friends despite it. So she decided that once Delmar had let go of her arm, she would go to the little Sponge.
