Author's Note: Happy Birthday, Gran Torino! I struggled to write a good present for him. I have a mental block seeing All for One as the father of someone who looks older than him. Having some friends who ship All for One/Torino made it even weirder. Nevertheless, I hit a breakthrough when I realized this gave Torino the opportunity to be a huge troll.

Sorahiko Torino had been born Yo Shigaraki, though he'd shed that name when he'd run away from home as a frightened, angry teenager. Unlike the uncle he'd been named after, becoming a hero hadn't been his dream. If given a choice, he would have rather fled the country and started a new life. But he'd believed he had a duty to help the heroes stop his father, All for One. He'd also known he'd never be safe as long as All for One remained free. It was his father's freedom or his own. Not a hard decision to make, with what his father had done. Along the way, he'd fallen in love with the most amazing woman in existence and, after marriage, become Sora Shimura.

Although Sorahiko would never stop loving Nana, his marriage had been a horrible mistake. All for One had gone berserk after learning the seventh One for All holder had "stolen" his son just like the Second had "stolen" his brother. His attacks had turned even more brutal and single-minded. The pregnancy had been an accident. But Sorahiko had embraced fatherhood, secretly hoping that Nana would be safe as the mother of All for One's grandson, Kotaro.

The opposite had been true. All for One had pursued Kotaro relentlessly, treating his grandson as an object rightfully belonging to him. Nana had continued to be targeted, perhaps even more viciously as All for One now held her personally responsible for keeping two of his family members away from him. There had been a massive underground bounty on Kotaro, alive. It had drawn villains from around the world. After fifteen kidnapping attempts, two of which had briefly succeeded, Sorahiko had been perpetually in a state of mindless terror. He couldn't let his son suffer All for One's care as he had. And so, Sorahiko had persuaded Nana to send their beloved child away.

That had been yet another mistake. All for One had murdered Nana shortly afterward, furious that she had dared "abandon" his grandson (with no acknowledgment of his own culpability). Sorahiko had faked his own death just to hurt his father, to make All for One suffer as much grief as a self-centered villain was capable of. He'd gotten plastic surgery to hide his appearance. Then he'd emerged as Sorahiko Torino, a hero with a mission of vengeance against All for One.

As Gran Torino, he'd trained Nana's successor. Sorahiko had been harsh, believing Toshinori needed to be strong to survive All for One. He'd held the boy at an arm's length, partly out of grief for his own lost son. Partly because anyone he loved might be used against him by All for One.

For all Sorahiko's regrets, he'd believed he'd at least saved Kotaro. His son was safe from his evil grandfather and away from this madness.

Until Tomura Shigaraki's identity was revealed.

The news had been an arrow straight through Sorahiko's heart. His son was dead. The daughter-in-law and granddaughter he'd never even known he'd had were also dead. His only surviving grandson had fallen into All for One's hands and been brainwashed into becoming a villain. He'd failed at the only right thing he'd believed he'd done in his entire life. For an entire week, he'd been unable to leave his bed.

Then Sorahiko made his resolve. His mistakes had led to this point. He had to at least try to save Tomura. Even if he ended up captured, if he could at least talk to his grandson, it would be worth it.

Sorahiko found the League of Villains' current hideout through his underground contacts. He came alone, unarmed and wearing civilian clothing.

Without his hero uniform, Tomura didn't even recognize him. Upon opening the door, he called over his shoulder, "Who ordered takeout?"

"I'm not a delivery man," Sorahiko said. "You know me as the hero, Gran Torino."

Tomura's eyes widened. His hands snapped up, ready to attack. Eyes darting around, he confirmed there did not appear to be any other heroes. Then he smirked. "Came alone, old man? What, are you going to try and talk me down? Did you know my grandmother?"

"I know many things," Sorahiko said. "You see, I am your grandfather."

OMAKE TIME!

All for One: This is unforgiveable, son. Far worse than betraying me to become a hero as my family members usually do. You've crossed my line.

Sorahiko: Is it because I faked my death?

All for One: No, it's because you stole my Darth Vader "I am your father" line. UNFORGIVABLE.

Sorahiko: Go to America.

Toshinori: But I want to stay in Japan and avenge my master!

Sorahiko: Shut up, some of us didn't get the chance to leave the country due to a villainous father with spies in airport security.

Toshinori: What?

Sorahiko: I said you'll love the beaches.

All for One: I'm the most loving, devoted great-grandfather ever. I spoil my entire family rotten.

Tomura: I feel itches all over my body! I'm losing my mind!

All for One: Here, have someone to murder. Best grandfather ever.
