To my wonderful Readers and Reviewers.
On the 26th of January 2024, at 1:31 PM BST, my father passed away.
We would have been going on an American holiday, our first one in nearly a decade, to see the greatest band in the world U2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
My father, Drakolas, my mother, Khazadain and I were arriving towards Heathrow. We were a mile away from Junction 17 and he had a sudden heart attack.
My mother performed chest compressions and I contacted an ambulance. For eight minutes she was doing chest compressions until the ambulances arrived, before the paramedics took over for another forty-five to resuscitate him, but he did not recover.
According to the paramedics, he passed quickly and without pain. They did everything they could and for that, I am grateful that they tried.
This time will be hard for me to write anything or upload any stories in the foreseeable future. As I am writing this to you now, I am with family and friends; my mother is in a state of shock and grief and she is my highest priority.
Drakolas was a wonderful man and dad and will be sorely missed, he was together with my mum for thirty-four years and married for thirty-two of them. To Khazadain, Drakolas was her soul-mate; and I mean this truly, I know that they were soul-mates, their love for each other was as strong as anything.
We had a whole plan for the holiday which would be exciting for all of us, romantic for them and an experience we would treasure.
We have spent the last few nights sleepless, feeling numb and grieving in our ways.
We contacted our immediate family and friends, informing them of his passing, and friends of our family have reached out to my dad's work colleagues. They are all helping us in this time of need.
I am unsure when I will return to writing and uploading stories, these next few months will be difficult for me to focus. So I would fully appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness at this time.
With much regard and thanks.
