Walking through the front door the next morning. Tara found Opie sitting on the couch watching tv." Where's dad?" Tara asked as she took her jacket off and place it on the hook by the door.
" He's still sleeping. Where have you been all night?" Opie asked as he raised his brow for a moment.
Tara just shrugged her shoulders little." Out." She answered as she walked into the kitchen and walked over to the coffee machine and grabbed a cup from the cupboard and poured herself a cup.
" Out? Out where?" Opie asked suspiciously as he followed Tara into the kitchen.
Tara sighs as she leans back against the counter." I was at the club house last night." She said as she took a sip of her coffee.
Opie sighs deeply." You were with Jax." He said as he scoffs and shook his head." Unbelievable."
" Yeah, I was with Jax. Why are you so against this? I mean you're dating my best friend. So why can't I date yours ?" Tara asked as she set her cup down.
" Tara, your my little sister and all I'm trying to do is look out for you. I know Jax, he's never been the kind of man who's going to stay in one relationship for very long. I mean do you honestly believe he's not going to leave you like he left Wendy?"
" I know he won't. Because it's different with us, Ope."
" Different, how?"
"Because he loves me, and I love him." Tara sighed deeply as she put her hands on her stomach."And because... I'm pregnant, Opie."
" You're what?" Opie asked as he brought his brows together as he wasn't sure if he actually heard her right.
" You heard me, I'm pregnant."
" Does Jax know?"
Tara sighs again as she nods her head." Yeah, I told him last night. That's why I went to the club house."
Opie sat down on the couch, unsure of what to say. He was still in shock that his little sister was pregnant and his best friend, his brother, was the father. "What about college? You've always talked about going since we were kids."
" Things have changed, and maybe I will go to College in the future... just not right now." Tara sighs softly as she walked over to the couch and sat down next him." You know, you can't stay mad at me forever."She said with a chuckle as she nudge his shoulders little.
Opie snorts a little as he shook his head." I was never mad at you. I was just mad at the whole situation and the fact you never told me about you and Jax. Why didn't you? Why did you hide it? I mean you and I always been able to talk, about anything."
Tara just shrugs her shoulders." I honestly don't know why I didn't tell you. But You're right, I should've told you about me and Jax. I guess I was afraid of how you were going to take it. I mean you almost broke Jax's jaw Ope."
Opie nods his head." Yeah."
" Are you ever going to talk to him?"
Opie exhaled deeply as he nodded his head and looked over at Tara." We're having another gun run up in Eureka tomorrow. I'll talk to him then." Opie leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead before getting up." I'm going over to Donna's."
" Are we good?" Tara asked as she wanted to make sure.
Before walking out the front door, Opie looked over at Tara and nodded his head once more. "Yeah, we're good."
After Church, Jax walked out of the clubhouse and headed towards his Dyna when he noticed Opie pulling into the lot. He and Opie hadn't really spoken to each other since Opie caught them together. Every time Jax tried to say something to Opie, Opie would either walk away from Jax or totally ignore him altogether.
Once Opie backed up his Dyna and took his helmet off after turning the bike off. Opie exhales deeply." I talked to Tara this morning Jax, I know she's pregnant." Opie said as he looks at Jax straight in the eyes." Do you love her?"
Jax nods his head." Yeah, I do Ope."
" For her sake and for yours brother, I really hope that you do because if you hurt my little sister in anyway. I will kill you." Opie said as a warning.
Jax nods his head as he understood what Opie was saying." I'm not gonna hurt her. I will never do anything to hurt Tara, I love her Ope and I will always protect her and keep her safe. I give you my word on that brother."
Opie nodded his head once more."Look, man, I personally don't like the idea of you hooking up with my little sister nor do I like the idea of her becoming an old lady either. But Tara can take care of herself, and she doesn't need her big brother to tell her what to do." He said with a chuckle.
Opie then sighs heavily." So who else knows about Tara's pregancy?"
Jax shook his head and shrugged his shoulders." Besides you and me, nobody knows."
"Good, I don't think it's the right time for everyone to know." The last thing Opie needs is for the whole club to know about Tara's pregnancy, especially Gemma.
" I am not sure if Tara will agreed to do that though. It was bad enough that we kept our relationship hidden from everyone. I just don't know if Tara wants to hide her pregancy too." For awhile after Jax and Tara made their relationship more real and offical, Tara didn't wanna hide their relationship anymore, so Jax knows that she doesn't want to hide this either.
" Yeah, I know. I'm just looking out for her Jax."
Jax nodded his head. "I know you are brother." He said. "Look, I'll talk to her tonight, and see what she thinks about it." Jax was already planning to come over to Opie's later tonight to see Tara, since the club has a gun run up in Eureka tomorrow and they won't be back for a few days.
Opie nodded his head in agreement. "I'm on my way to see Donna. I just wanted to stop by and talk to you first." Even though Opie wanted to talk to Jax while they were up in Eureka, he decided now would be a good time to do so, rather than wait.
Jax nodded slightly. "I've got something I need to take care of first, then I'll check in with Tara." He said as he swung his leg over his bike and sat down, then he turned on the engine and strapped on his helmet. "See ya later, man." He said before he rode out of the lot.
Opie exhaled deeply as he started his Dyna again and strapped on his helmet. Opie knew Jax wouldn't necessarily hurt Tara. He just wanted to make sure Jax was truly committed to Tara and their unborn child.
AN: Finally I'm done with this chapter. Got maybe two or three more chapters left until this story is officially done and completed. I will try not to take forever next time haha. As always leave reviews
