It was night, the moon was full and the night was silent most would be asleep at this time of night...well almost everyone...Kelpie couldn't sleep properly and stayed awake staring at the ceiling
Kelpie had been in Deep thought about his previous desire to claim his love for Lydia Carlton that he he had failed to pursue because he had been foolishly in love with her
Kelpie had been to arrogant to see that Lydia was just a phase and tried to constantly pursue her but that was all for Naught when Lydia married the Earl, Edgar J.C Ashenbert
Kelpie sighed deeply and ruffled his hair in frustration then turned his head to see Ashlin who was fast asleep in bed her purple eyes closed and her breathing was even
Kelpie looked at Ashlin who was sleeping peacefully while he couldn't even sleep a wink he got up from bed and walked over to the other side of her bed, his shadow looming over her as she slept
Ashlin turns over in her sleep and her blanket slides down from covering her body Kelpie slowly reached a hand for the blanket and pulled it over her body to keep her warm
He looked at her lips tempted to steal a kiss she had stolen his heart ever since the first letter she sent and thought about the first time they wrote letters to each other...
Flashback to 1 year ago...
Kelpie felt lost now that Lydia and that deadbeat Earl were married what was he supposed to do now then a bird caught his attention dropping a letter in his lap
Kelpie looked at the letter in confusion and rips it open in frustration only to see the neat handwriting why are you so sad I could feel your emotions from so far away...please don't be hurt- Ashlin Ashengrotto
Kelpie could tell that it's from someone warm hearted but why would a stranger write a letter to him and why would the stranger foolishly give him her real name in the letter he couldn't help but laugh at her foolishness
Kelpie saw no return address but caught sight of a symbol on the back and traced it with his finger as he couldn't seem to recognize the symbol was she a part of a royal family
The bird chirped catching his attention dropping a pen and parchment paper he didn't even question where the bird might have gotten it and could only deduce that it was magic
Kelpie had become somewhat amused by the mysterious woman who sent her the letter and decided to send a reply to the woman
How did you know I was depressed surely your not a witch are you, where are you? It's also pretty foolish to use your real name as an alias- K Kelpie wrote and gave it to the bird who took the letter and suddenly went into a portal
The bird suddenly came back with a different letter in it's beak "that was fast" Kelpie said and retrieves the letter from the bird opening the letter with curiosity of her response
I suppose you could say I have a knack for telling when someone has a broken heart I'm actually...well it'd hard to explain...also I didn't realize writing your real name would be so embarrassing to write out on paper- Ash
Kelpie chuckled silently and felt his heart grow warm even though he hasn't even seen this woman yet she already seemed so amusing and interesting to him
That first letter was all it took pique an interest in the young woman who told him not to be sad they started writing to each other from day to day about everything
Kelpie grew curious of the woman and she gave him a letter saying she was still a student at school rather a college student who was in the peak if her studies
She had even sent him a picture of her and her half sisters he had to admit Ashlin looked pretty attractive for a college student she had a big smile on her face in the picture while her arms were hugging two of her half sisters he could only assume she was a goody two shoes
pretty soon K became Kelpie and Ash became Ashlin using their real names in their letters and Kelpie seemed to have developed a sort of one sided crush on the girl even though he hadn't met her once
That's when he decided to write aren't you tired of not being able to meet each other...why don't we meet- Kelpie he sent the letter with a lot of hope in his heart
For a while their was no response and his heart grew worried but then a letter was sent Sorry it took so long the letter arrived during class so I couldn't read it right away...I would love to meet up with you let's meet up in the spring when I'm not busy with school work- Ashlin
Kelpie felt a smile etch on his face and couldn't help but blush at the thought of finally meeting her in real life it made his heart pound in his chest ever so loudly
End of Flashback...
Kelpie looked down at the sleeping figure in bed and moved her bangs away from her face he had been waiting for so long to meet her and it made him want to give in to his desires
"Kel..pie" he heard her mutter in her sleep he leaned against the bed and leaned closer to her lips wanting to taste her lips on his...but for some reason he couldn't bare to do it
Kelpie sighed in frustration and looked down at the sleeping girl who was unbothered and he looked away heading back to his bed and went back to his bed to try and get some sleep
