Marshall got into the back of the ambulance with Everest as they began to treat penny for her injuries Marshall noticed that she had a gash in her side he began to pack gauze in the wound Everest meanwhile checked her breathing as the ambulance drove to the hospital Marshall looked over at Lola who was still standing there he felt bad for her and wanted to reassure her that they were doing everything they could for her baby girl so he rolled down the window and told her to hop in the back with them so she could be with her baby girl as they drove to the hospital.
As they arrived at the hospital the paramedics rushed Penny into emergency care where the doctors and nurses began to work on her immediately Marshall and Everest waited anxiously in the waiting room for any news about Penny's condition after what seemed like an eternity one of the nurses came out and approached them with a worried look on her face.
"She's in serious condition we had to put her in a medically induced coma .
She has a collapsed lung, multiple fractures, and internal bleeding. The doctors are hopeful that she will pull through but it's going to be a long road to recovery. You're welcome to stay with her if you'd like." The nurse explained.
Marshall and Everest exchanged worried glances before following the nurse back to Penny's room. They sat down next to Lola, who was holding her paws and looking tearfully at her daughter. The machines surrounding Penny beeped constantly, monitoring her vital signs. The three of them sat in silence for what felt like hours, each lost in their own thoughts and fears.
Marshall and Everest soon left the hospital to head back to the lookout Marshall's pup tag rang as they drove back he answered it talked for a few minutes then hung up "that was cinder she said Hank's funeral is tomorrow at noon cinder told chief told her he wants me to call the return quarters for hank I think that means we get the day off for the funeral how about you she also told me the rest of the paw patrol are already getting their dress uniforms ready for the funeral
