Monday came along, and that meant that the heroes returned from their training session yesterday. Since today was a teacher workday, and there was no school, all the heroes were at their respective houses resting.
During their training session over the weekend, they had all been pushed to their absolute limit. Matt said that they had to train harder to take down Darkseid when the time came to fight him. There was no telling when he would arrive, so they all had to be ready. The heroes all knew that this intense training was necessary. They would need everything they've got to take down Darkseid.
Currently, in the Loud house, everyone was resting in their own way.
Lori was texting Bobby. Leni was talking to Jay. Luna was playing her acoustic guitar for a change. Luan was talking with Mr. Coconuts. Lynn was watching a baseball game on her phone. Lucy was working on her poems. Lola was having a tea party with her stuffed animals. Lana was just chilling with Hops. Lisa was trying to develop tactics for when the team had to fight Darkseid. Lily was just sleeping in her crib.
In Lincoln and Linka's room, the two white haired twins were just talking.
"That training session sure was intense." Linka said.
"It sure was." Lincoln agreed. "But we need it. Like Matt said, Darkseid is stronger than me. This training will give us a better chance to defeat him. Even though it is exhausting, It's absolutely necessary."
"That's true, bro." Linka agreed. "Also, Darkseid is after Anti-Life. I don't even know what it looks like."
"Lauren did say that its full name was The Anti-Life Equation." Lincoln said. "So that just confuses me more. What does that mean? It's some kind of math problem that will give him control of the universe?"
"No idea." Linka responded. "Regardless of exactly what it is, we can't let Darkseid get a hold of it. We all saw what Darkseid looks like. He looks pure evil."
"I know, sis." Lincoln replied. "He makes every villain we've ever faced seem like good guys. Who knows what the universe would be like under his control."
"No doubt it will be terrible." Linka said.
"We all know that he is extremely powerful." Lincoln said. "When the time comes to fight him, we will need everything we've got to defeat him. The entire universe is at stake here. We have to take him down."
"And we will." Linka said. "Darkseid is powerful, but so are we. If he is bringing an army, it will likely be more Parademons."
"Yeah, and we made short work of the Parademons when we fought Steppenwolf." Lincoln added. "So really, this will just be a fight against Darkseid."
"And we will have numbers on our side." Linka said. "We can win. We will win."
"We will." Lincoln agreed. "We won't let Darkseid win. He will never take over the universe, and he will never get Anti-Life."
"No he won't." Linka replied.
Lincoln and Linka then decided to just be on their phones.
Meanwhile, at The Slicer's hideout, The Slicer was on his throne waiting for his henchmen to arrive. A lot has happened since he last encountered Lincoln and his team.
The Slicer had retrieved the ancient stone of power from a cave in Egypt. Lincoln and his team defeating the previous owner of it saved him a lot of trouble. He had already put the stone through the replicator and he now had several stones of power now. He used one of them to power a new floating throne he had only recently finished. He was currently sitting on his old throne. He was looking forward to using his new throne. Not only could the new one fly, but it had several weapons as well.
Right now though, The Slicer was just waiting for his henchmen.
Soon, they all arrived, and they bowed before him.
"Master Slicer." They all addressed.
"Is everything set up for tomorrow?" The Slicer asked.
"Yes, Master." Jesse replied. "The sound machine is in Royal Woods."
"Excellent." The Slicer said.
"What will be attacking them, Master Slicer?" Vic asked.
"A very powerful monster." The Slicer answered. "He is named Fenrir. He stands at almost 400 feet tall, and his strength is matched only by Lincoln Loud. With that kind of power, Lincoln and his team are doomed. Fenrir is supposed to be a protector, but he acts only by animal instinct. You see, he is pretty much a giant bipedal wolf. I found out about them when my drones retrieved an ancient book from Atlantis when I had Atlantis destroyed."
"Excellent." Vic replied. "The world is so close to being yours, Master."
"Yes." The Slicer replied. "That book was so useful. I took out all the Atlanteans, and got me a book that mentioned Fenrir. Tomorrow, Lincoln Loud will finally meet his end."
"Wait, Master Slicer." Kyle interrupted. "You said Fenrir is supposed to be a protector. What if he joins Lincoln and his team?"
"The only way that will be possible is if they convince Fenrir that they are not a threat, and that they are here to protect the world." The Slicer answered. "But as far as I know, Lincoln can't communicate with animals. So, Lincoln's death will finally happen tomorrow."
Oh no. The Slicer has big plans.
