The Bakugou family invited him in, they were a little nervous since this conversation was very important to them, they really wanted to see Izuku. But Izuku's adoptive father was intimidating and slovenly, but they knew he was a good person despite his appearance, after all he was a hero.
Mitsuki prepared tea for the guest, while Masuru and Aizawa waited at the dining table.
The father turned to his son who was about to sit down: "Son, it's very late. You have class tomorrow, don't you think you'd better get ready for bed?"
"I will not sleep!" said his son determinedly. His father just sighed, he knew his son cared about Izuku.
"Honey, leave it alone. It's a family affair." said the wife, pouring the tea.
"Thanks." Aizawa said, sipping his tea.
"How is he? Izuku?" Mitsuki asked.
"He's fine, he's in therapy and will be returning to school in the next few months. And he's even made a friend his own age." Aizawa commented, he didn't want to hide anything from the couple who clearly cared a lot about their son.
"Great, that makes me happy." Mitsuki said, wiping away her tears.
"I would like to apologize to you. Something bad happened to Izuku, and he regressed, so I was scared of him seeing you, I didn't know how he would react." Aizawa said which surprised the family.
"Don't worry, you were just doing what you thought was best for him, we're not mad or anything." Masuru said.
"Do you still want to see Izuku?" Aizawa asked.
"That's all we want most." Mitsuki said.
"What if he spent the weekend with his family?" Aizawa said, leaving the Bakugo family surprised.
"Are you serious?" Masuru said.
"You must have a lot to talk about with him, especially about Mrs. Inko. And if he wants to go home, I'll take care of him." Aizawa said.
"Thank you! We have a lot to talk about, we also have things to deliver to Izuku." said Mitsuki in tears.
"If everything goes well, he will be able to spend other weekends with you." Aizawa said.
"You are being very generous, thank you very much." Mitsuki said very happily.
"But if your son happens to show up at my house during a school week, you can forget about that arrangement." Aizawa said with a threatening tone.
"What!?" Bakugo is surprised.
"Izuku was officially adopted recently, I don't want to have a problem with a boy showing up at my house late at night." Aizawa commented.
"He's right, son! You could cause trouble for Mr. Aizawa." said his father.
"It's not fair, that purple-haired boy looks like he sees Izuku all day!" Bakugo said very irritated.
"But Hitoshi lives and studies close to where we live," Aizawa said.
"I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TROUBLE WITH YOU BAKUGO, UNDERSTAND?" said the mother shouting.
"Your visits to my home must be given at least 3 days notice, and it will be your parents who will send me a message. Am I being clear?" Aizawa said looking seriously at the boy.
Bakugo, defeated, just nodded, understanding his situation. Aizawa understood the boy's feelings perfectly, but he couldn't give him special treatment.
If he let the boy do whatever he wanted, he would practically abandon his parents and live with Izuku. Or he would show up at his house all day and leave at dawn, which was dangerous for a student.
"Well, I think you'll want to get my cell phone number." said Aizawa.
"Yes please." said Mitsuki
After the conversation with the Bakugo family, Aizawa returned home, Izuku was already asleep.
"So, how was it?" asked Yagi.
"It was fine, the boy's parents are good people, and they really care about Izuku." Aizawa said, taking a water to drink.
"That's good, now he has more support."
"I'm going to leave Izuku with them this weekend."
"But, like, is he going to sleep there?"
"Yes, they have a lot to talk about, especially about his mother. Unfortunately, I'm going to cancel Saturday's healing sessions."
"Please don't worry about that, and I'm already 50% healed, and I've been in my All Might form for much longer. Well, it will be Izuku's first night away from home, I'm excited."
"I'll help sort and pack your bags for the weekend, but for now I just want to sleep. Tomorrow I'll have a talk with him"
"Yes, it's very late, I also have to go." taking his things.
"Thank you for your help, good night."
That night Aizawa didn't sleep much as he had to wake up early to prepare breakfast. Izuku noticed that he was a little tired, but that wasn't a strange sight, since the hero worked at night.
Placing breakfast on the table, Izuku sits down to eat. Aizawa then takes the opportunity to talk.
"Last night, I talked to Bakugo's parents." Hearing this Izuku makes excited and at the same time curious.
"They seem like good people to me."
"They... are... very... good."
That was all Aizawa needed to hear, he had doubts about whether it was really a good idea to have contacts with the Bakugo family, but from Izuku's response it meant that he had good memories of his childhood friend's parents.
"I was thinking, how about spending the weekend at Bakugo's house?"
"Can I?" Surprised Izuku asks.
"Of course you can, and I think you have a lot to talk about."
Izuku just nodded. After that conversation the day was peaceful, Hitoshi came to visit and Izuku excitedly told him that he was going to spend the weekend at Bakugo's house. Which made him a little jealous, but I learned that his mother was close to the Bakugo family.
Aizawa went to U.A. and told Recovery Girl that Izuku wouldn't be there that Saturday, explaining everything to her about what happened, understanding the situation.
Yagi was also informed and said that he had no problem missing a therapy session with Izuku, but Recovery Girl has already informed that the sessions will be held on another day, it will be on Friday nights, there are no longer any students at that time at U.A.
Izuku also told his therapist, who was excited about the news and gave Izuku a task, write and draw how the weekend was with the Bakugo family and what he feels. Aizawa went out with his son to buy a backpack, and he chose a yellow one, the color was the same as Aizawa's sleeping bag. The backpack was so big that he looked very small with it, or was Izuku too small for the backpack?
The week passed quickly and it was already Friday, Aizawa was helping Izuku put away his things to spend the weekend at the Bakugo's house. Hitoshi was in the living room playing on his cell phone waiting for Izuku to pack things up.
After he finished he went to the room to play with Hitoshi, they spent a long time having fun, but it was already late.
"Hitoshi, it's getting late." commented Aizawa looking at his watch.
"You're right, Izuku will tell me later how the weekend was, I want to know everything. And if you want, send me a message at the weekend, and I'll respond."
"Yes...Izuku...go...send...message."
"Izuku, Hizashi sent me a message and he's already on his way, I'm going to patrol too. Is it okay to be alone for a few minutes?"
"Izuku...is...a...big...boy." Izuku said confidently.
"Yes you are. And soon you're going to U.A on the hero course, sometimes I forget that you're growing up fast." Aizawa said, stroking his son's head.
Hitoshi was watching that scene, it was cute. But Aizawa was right Izuku would soon start U.A, but what about him? What was he doing to achieve his goal? He loved spending time with Izuku, and he didn't want to change that, but he really had to think about his future.
He left the apartment together with Aizawa, he was already used to the hero accompanying him halfway. And most of the time it was just conversations about everyday life and Izuku. But today was something new.
"Hitoshi, can you come tomorrow? Need to talk to you."
"But isn't Izuku going to the Bakugo house tomorrow?"
"Yes, he will go in the morning. But I need to talk to you, something very serious."
If he wanted to talk to him without Izuko around, things would really be serious. Hitoshi wanted to know what it was right away, but it was better to wait until the next day to find out.
"Okay, I can spend the afternoon after lunch. "
"Okay, I'll wait for you tomorrow to talk."
+The next day+
Aizawa was already on his way to the Bakugo's house, they left very early, as soon as I finished breakfast.
Izuku was happy, but as they approached the place the more he got nervous, he remembered a lot of things, but the few things he remembered he recognized.
When they got out of the car towards the Bakugos' apartment, Izuku didn't let go of Aizawa, holding onto his shirt the entire time.
Until they finally arrived at the door, Aizawa rang the doorbell, and it didn't take long for them to open the door, everyone from the Bakugo family was at the door to welcome them.
"Izuku is you!" said Mitsuki, jumping up to hug the boy.
"Aunt." Izuku replied, hugging her back.
"Honey, you're going to suffocate him. Let's all go in." said Masuru to his wife.
But Mitsuki didn't leave Izuku's side for even a moment, entering the apartment everyone sat on the sofa.
"How Izuku has grown a lot, and I look very beautiful."
"We have a lot to tell you, but first we want to give you something, son, could you take it?" asked his father, and Bakugo immediately went to a closet and took out a photo album, handing it to his mother, who showed it to Izuku and Aizawa.
"Before the bank takes over Inko's apartment, get the photo album back." said Masuru, handing the album to Izuku.
"Your mother always looked at this album."
Izuku leafed through the photo album, there were several photos of him as a baby and until he was 4 years old, after that the album had several empty parts. It was never filled in because Izuku wasn't here anymore, Aizawa also looked at the photos, Izuku was a very cute child. Looking at this empty album that Izuku wanted to fill it from today, he had several photos of his father and the people who take care of him on his cell phone, Izuku would like to put some here.
"Thank you...for...keeping...for...me." said gratefully.
"You're welcome Izuku, I just wish I had gotten more things." said Mitsuki hugging Izuku.
Bakugo then took out a bag full of gifts with cards written on each one, and it was Inko's handwriting.
"Your mother, every year bought a gift for your birthday. She bought gifts until she was 11, when she was 12, well unfortunately she wasn't here anymore." said Mitsuki, it was the year that Inko died and she didn't even have time to buy a gift.
Izuku was very surprised by the gift bag, and Aizawa was also amazed by it. For a moment he thought about opening one of the presents, but his mother bought it for him and opened it for his birthdays and that was what Izuku wanted to do.
"Izuku...I would...like...to...open...the...presents...on...my...birthday."
"We understand Izuku." said Masuru, for everyone in the Bakugo family.
"Your mother loved you until the end."
"Yes." Izuku said with tears in his eyes.
Aizawa, who was quiet, then decided to get up and take the gift bag.
"I'll guard it in our apartment until your birthday arrives." said Aizawa.
Izuku looked at his father who and smile. In response Aizawa smiled back.
"I think it's time to go, if anything please call me. - Aizawa said to the Bakugos.
"Of course, if anything happens, you're the first one we'll call."
"Izuku, behave yourself, I'll come pick you up on Sunday afternoon."
"Izuku...go...be...a...good...boy."
Aizawa went towards the door, along with the gift bag, which was opened by Mitsuki.
"Thank you very much, I know I already said this, but I really thank you for giving us this chance to spend time with Izuku." Mitsuki said very gratefully.
"I'm the one who should be grateful, I'm sure Izuku is very happy to know that his mother still loved him." said Aizawa who nodded in farewell.
Arriving at the car, he placed the gifts in the back seat, but he didn't start the car immediately, he just looked at the gifts for a while, with a long sigh he finally decided to start the car.
"Miss Inko, I'm sorry it took me so long to find your son, but I promise I will take care of him in his place." Aizawa said to himself, making a promise to his late mother.
++In Aizawa's apartment++
Aizawa arrived at his apartment and I was shocked to see Yagi and Hizashi waiting for him at the entrance to his apartment.
"Welcome back." Hizashi said.
"What are you doing here?" Aizawa asked, opening the door and letting the two inside.
"We were worried." Yagi said.
"But also curious, so how was it?" commented Hazashi.
"The Bakugo family are good people, they really care a lot about Izuku and his late mother." Aizawa said, thinking about which locker he would put the gift bag in.
"And what are these gifts?" Yagi asked.
"Izuku's mom buys him every birthday, and the Bakugo family has saved all the presents this whole time."
Making the two curious people pick up a gift and noticed that the packages were dirty and a little dusty. He also saw the cards that accompanied the gifts: Happy birthday Izuku, congratulations on his 8th birthday.
They realized there were 11 gifts, so she managed to buy them until her son was 11 years old. This left Yagi's stomach upset because he didn't know exactly what he felt when he saw these gifts, the boy's mother still had hopes of celebrating his birthday with her son, and with each passing year she was probably sadder without her son.
"Did he see the presents?" Hizashi asked worried about what she saw.
"Yes. And he told me he'd like to open them for his birthday, I'll keep them in my locker."
"And when is young Izuku's birthday?" Yagi asked.
"July 15th, his birthday has already passed, I only met him 2 months later in that clandestine clinic."
"But next year we're going to have a party! A huge party full of people! I'm going to plan this party myself, leave it to me, guys." Hizashi said excitedly, already imagining the party.
"You're definitely not planning a party." Aizawa said angrily.
"You'll change your mind by next year." Hizashi said confidently.
"There was also a photo album, which they kept for Izuku as well." Aizawa commented.
"Now I was curious, would he show me the photos?" Hizashi asked.
"He would show you without you asking, I'm sure. He loved the album, he was his mother when he was younger, until he was 4."
"He must be really cute." commented Yagi.
"Don't worry, you will have the opportunity to see the album later. But now you must go."
"Why? Are you going to do something important?" Hizashi asked.
"Actually yes, I need to talk to Hitoshi."
"Is the boy in trouble?" asked Yagi worriedly.
"I want to give him my letter of recommendation, I'm going to make him my successor for my capture technique, but before that I need to talk to him." Aizawa said, seeing the astonishment on both their faces.
"Serious successor? Who would have thought!" Hizashi said excitedly.
Yagi is amazed, as far as he knows Aizawa wasn't looking for a successor, but here he was with a boy, who for him had the potential to succeed him. Another pang of envy, everything All Might wanted Aizawa got, in fact things were falling into his lap. It was a bitter joke of the universe. Yagi wanted Izuku as a successor and that wasn't possible, he was jealous of Aizawa's father-son relationship, and now he had a successor who was Izuku's best friend.
"Good now, can you excuse me, he'll be here in 1 hour." Aizawa commented.
"I could give him a letter of recommendation too." Hizashi said, which left Aizawa surprised.
"For what?" Aizawa asked suspiciously.
"I could teach him a few things, since he uses his voice to activate his peculiarity, right? I would also be a good teacher, and with two letters of recommendation from two U.A professors I would be guaranteed it."
-Director Nezu would accept my letter, I don't need yours! - Aizawa said with that face that only he makes.
"Ah! come on, don't be selfish, share the apprentice there!"
"Okay, but if you don't take it seriously, you'll have to deal with me." Aizawa said in defeat.
"Well, I think I was left out. I'll go then." said Yagi, wanting to leave.
"He takes care of himself!" said Hazashi saying goodbye.
Yagi left, after all he had to do more routine exams and then hand it over to Recovery girl, to analyze his current situation.
It didn't take long for Hitoshi to arrive and I'm surprised to find Hitashi there. Since he thought he was just going to talk to Aizawa.
As always Aizawa served a hot drink, while he sat at the table waiting for what he wanted to say, he was curious all day, but of course first he wanted to know how Izuku was.
"Did everything go well at the Bakugo house?" Hitoshi asked curiously.
"It's okay, you don't need to worry. They are good people, Izuku is fine." Aizawa said firmly, which made Hitoshi feel calm. He hadn't liked Katsuki much.
"That's good, then I'll ask him how it was when he comes back."
"Yes, but now, let's change the subject. I have something very important to tell you, that's why I asked you to come here."
"We have a proposal to make you." Hizashi said, interjecting.
"I want to make it very clear that he found out about what I wanted to talk to you about today, and wanted to intrude." commented Aizawa angrily.
"Wow! Don't ruin the mood Shouta!"
"What it is?" asked Hitoshi
"Would you like to be my apprentice? I would write a letter of recommendation for you and give it to the director of U.A, since I am a professor there he would probably accept it." Aizawa had to stop explaining because he saw tears coming from Hitoshi.
The two adults just looked at the young man full of tears and sobs, Hazashi grabbed a cloth for the boy to wipe away his tears.
"I'm sorry, and I was very happy." he said, wiping away the tears.
"But I haven't even finished talking yet."
"I accept." he said firmly.
"Please listen to me, let me finish speaking before I accept. Of course, being my apprentice and teacher, I won't go easy on you. But I'm worried, other students might look at you differently, you're my son's best friend and you'll be my successor, I'm afraid you'll be excluded by others, or even won't treat you well. I have this concern."
"I understand everything you said, it may actually happen, but being a hero is my dream! My whole life I suffered prejudice and was excluded, I'm used to it, but even so that didn't stop me from still wanting to be a hero. I don't care if U.A students look at me strangely or ignore me! And besides, Izuku is going to study at U.A so this time I won't feel alone." he said determinedly.
"Boy, didn't you ever have a friend at school?" Hizashi asked.
"Izuku is my only friend, they were always afraid of my peculiarity. So being on the hero course with my best friend, it would be the best thing that would happen to me, I don't care about the others."
"Well then know that I won't go easy on you. And if you have any problems, please tell me and I'll sort it out myself." Aizawa said, giving a warm smile.
"Yes." responding with a smile.
"Your training starts this week after classes with me at Hizashi's agency."
"At your agency?" Hitoshi asked looking at the other hero with a bit of doubt.
"YES! Do you know why? I also want to give you a letter of recommendation. In other words, your place at U.A is already guaranteed with two cards! And I would love to help you train if you want." Hizashi said excitedly.
"Yes! I would love to, I will do my best, thank you very much for giving me this chance." Hitoshi said gratefully and bowed his head in thanks.
"Go home and rest, your training will start on Monday." Aizawa said.
Hitoshi thanked him again, and went home to rest after this weekend, it wasn't going to be easy, he already felt that Eraser Head was a very serious hero and he certainly wasn't going to take it easy, but Hitoshi was happy like that, he didn't want him to touch your hand. his head.
++In Bakugo's apartment++
Izuku was already better emotionally, to relax he watched cartoons of heroes on TV, the program was a little childish but he loved it, Bakugo who was next to him watching was clearly a little bored with the cartoon, but he didn't complain and didn't even try to change channel.
Bakugo's parents were preparing lunch, they knew that Izuku liked Katsudon so for lunch they decided to prepare him.
When Izuku was with Aizawa, he ate in silence, they talked every now and then when he had to say something important, he wasn't used to conversations at the table. The Bakugo family was always noisy, and at mealtimes it was no different, they talked about everything, what was on TV, school and Masuru's work.
Izuku just listened silently, listening intently to the conversation, but he didn't want to intrude on the family conversation. It was then that Mitsuki wanted to make Izuku participate in the conversation, so she decided to ask him some questions.
"Are you enjoying the food Izuku?" said Mitsuki.
"Yes." Izuku said with a smile.
"Is there any food you don't like?" I asked curiously.
"Izuku...don't...know. I think...that...Izuku...likes...everything."
"It is very rare to see a young person who likes all types of food." commented Masuru
"Izuku...when...he...was...imprisoned...he...didn't...eat...much." Izuku commented without realizing how shocking and scary this comment was.
This comment made the family remember that Izuku was kidnapped, and that he suffered a lot all these years, it makes sense that the boy probably went hungry. And that would explain why he was so skinny and fragile.
"But now you can eat as much as you want and whatever you want! I'll prepare whatever you want." said Mitsuki.
"There's...a lot...of...things...that...Izuku...hasn't...eaten yet."
"How about a curry? It's Katsuki's favorite, would you like to try it?" said his mother excitedly.
"Izuku...never...ate...curry."
"So I'm going to prepare it for dinner, I'm going to make a very mild one for you, and a very spicy one for Katsuki, just the way you like it."
"Whatever." Bakugo said. He doesn't know how to express himself, but what he said was that his mother didn't want to bother with him, that she should actually be focused on pleasing Izuku.
"Izuku...I'd...like...to...eat...this...curry."
"I'm sure you'll like it." commented Masuru.
"And at school Izuku, are you studying?" Mitsuki said curiously.
"Izuku...does...therapy."
"That's good, but is it school?" Mitsuki insisting.
"Izuku...go...to...school...later."
"And where are you going to study?" asked the curious father.
"U.A."
"U.A! Wow Izuku, this is great, it's the best school in Japan." Mitsuki said excitedly.
"But the entrance exam hasn't even started yet, how did you get in?" Masuru said.
"Izuku... received... two... letters... of... recommendation."
"Wait, if you received two letters, does that mean you will enter the hero course?" Bakugo asked in surprise. The one who stayed silent letting his parents talk to Izuku was surprised by this information.
"Yes."
"But how? I remember you didn't have any quirks." asked Bakugo.
"Now... Izuku... has." He didn't like to go into that subject, because he remembered that place.
"Wow Izuku, okay, what's your quirk like?" Mitsuki asked.
"Izuku...can...heal...wounds."
"What an amazing quirk Izuku, you can save a lot of people." Mitsuki said very happily.
When everyone was done, Izuku wanted help clearing the table, but Mitsuki said he was a guest and didn't need to do those things. So Bakugo said that they would spend time in their room, to play and pass the time. Unlike Izuku's house, the games were played in the living room and he played very little.
Upon entering Bakugo's room he noticed that there were many things, weights that he used for his arms, shelves of books and dolls, an All Might poster and dolls too. The room seemed smaller than his, but that was because there were too many things in the room.
Bakugo grabbed two pillows and placed them on the floor in front of the TV, turning on the game and paying for the controls.
"Take it." offering a controller.
"Izuku...isn't...good...at...playing." taking control and sitting next to him.
"Don't worry Izuku, I don't care."
There were 2 hours of gameplay, various types of adventure, fighting and even RPG. Izuku was tired of joking, but Bakugo seemed to be enjoying himself so he didn't say anything. Looking out of the corner of his eye, Bakugo watched him and turned off the game.
"If you're tired of playing, you should speak up." he said half scoldingly.
"Sorry."
"As always, you are very kind and you should talk more about what you think and what you are feeling."
"Izuku...go...try...try. - said Izuku.
"So, UA, okay, sure, hero. Remember when we were kids and we promised to be heroes together?"
"Yes... Izuku... remember."
"This promise will come true, I'm happy about it."
He was very happy with the news, he was going to school with Izuku and on the hero course, and of course he was sure he would pass U.A. exams. Now, more than ever, there is a reason to pass the tests.
But on the other hand, Izuku had doubts, and thought, maybe it wouldn't be bad to vent to Bakugo about this. He wanted to talk to Hitoshi, but his friend was desperate to get in
at UA and be a hero to prove to others that he wasn't a villain, and Izuku didn't want to bother him with that.
"Izuku... I don't... know... for... sure."
"What you do not know?"
"When...Izuku...was...a...child...he...really...wanted...to...be...a...hero. But... ... Now... I don't... know... for... sure." taking that feeling out of your chest.
"Did you mention this to anyone?"
"No. Izuku... didn't... mean to... disappoint." he said a little sadly.
"Is it what you really want?"
"I... don't... know. But...Izuku...likes...helping...others."
"If you like help, you're in the right course Izuku. Why don't you try? See if it's really what you want?"
"Izuku...can...try...but, Izuku...is...afraid...not...fit...to...be...a...hero."
"Izuku, I will stay by your side. I will protect you and together we will become the best heroes, you will see. It will be like when we made that promise as a child, we will be heroes! Just give it one chance, don't give up on your childhood dream."
Bakugo seemed calm, but inside he was shaken, he never would have thought that that little boy from his childhood who dreamed of being a hero would give up on it so easily. Bakugo was being selfish, he wanted to study at the same school as Izuku and wouldn't allow him to give up.
"I'll...try...I promise."
"Great, know that I'm going to charge you."
"So, who is your favorite hero? "
"Daddy." Izuku said with a big smile.
"It's true, your father is a professional hero. But I thought you were going to say All Might, he was our favorite hero when we were kids."
"Daddy...saved...Izuku. Now...he...is...my...favorite...hero."
"I need to respect your bum father more."
"No...it's...tramp."
"Okay, okay, he's not a bum." couldn't go against an angry Izuku.
Then they laughed a little to relax, that feeling of true friendship that Bakugo hadn't felt in years. Yes, he had classmates at school who followed him, but he didn't consider them friends. The only real friend was Izuku, but he only noticed when he was taken away, real friends are at their best and worst and point out the wrong things, that's exactly what Izuku did.
"What do you want to do now?"
"Board... game?"
"I think I have one here." Bakugo said, going to look for the game in the closet.
Bakugo thought it was a very childish hero board game, but he knew that Izuku had never played it.
"Let's play this hero game." he said, opening the box and throwing everything on the floor.
There were several figures of old heroes and heroes that were still working, Izuku chose a hero called Gran Torino, who for some reason was in the board game. Bakugo took All Might, since he was his favorite.
Izuku really had fun playing on the board, the objective was to reach the end, the first one to reach it won. On the way he had stairs to climb faster. And in the end Izuku won, it was beginner's luck.
The parents called to have an afternoon snack, there was tea and cake. It had 4 pieces with different flavors, strawberry, chocolate, lemon and carrot.
Izuku really wanted to try the lemon one and Bakugo got the chocolate one, and he loved the lemon one. The day at the Bakugos house was really fun, Izuku thought.
++ At night ++
It was finally time to sleep, tomorrow he was going for a walk around the neighborhood with Bakugo, I didn't really like the idea, since going out was a problem for Izuku. But he still agreed, he didn't want to be the spoilsport.
Before I went to sleep, Izuku sent a message to his father wishing him a good night, who soon replied. And then he sent a message to Hitoshi saying that his day was fun and that he ate a lot of different foods today, his friend responded excitedly with the news, and finally wished him a good night.
"With who are you talking to?"
"With...the...Hitoshi. Izuku...was...telling...that...the...day...was...fun."
"You and him seem to get along well." Bakugo said jealously.
"Hitoshi...is...really...cool."
"How did you meet?" a little curious.
"Izuku...left...the...house...to...buy...milk. Then...saw...three...boys...bullying...Hitoshi."
"And you went there and defended him." Bakugo concluded.
"Yes!"
"You really don't change anything Izuku, and I'm happy with that. But because he was being bullied, doesn't he have a quirk?"
"He...has...yes. But...Hitoshi...says...that...they...say...that...his...peculiarity...is...that of...a villain."
"How ridiculous, I've never heard so much nonsense."
"Kachan...changed."
"Have I really changed?"
"Yes...for...the better."
The Bakugo of the past didn't care about others, Izuku really could see the difference. The Bakugo of the past would probably agree with the bullies, he thought he was much superior too.
But now Bakugo was an angry boy, but he was trying hard to be a better person and understand other people's feelings.
"Izuku...sleepy."
"Yes, you're right, it's time to sleep, good night Izuku." turning off the lights.
Izuku was sleeping on the futon in Bakugo's room, no matter how much he insisted Izuku take his bed, but he refused. So Bakugo had to accept it, he wasn't going to argue with him.
++The next day++
Mitsuki prepares breakfast, she decided to make pancakes for Izuku, really wanted to see his face light up when he tasted it. Izuku was cute as a child, and now he's still very cute.
Katsuki soon appeared in the kitchen, going to the fridge and getting a glass of water.
"Good morning son."
"Good morning."
"is Izuku?"
"Still sleeping."
"Can you wake him up? The coffee is ready."
"Can't we leave him sleeping?"
"Nothing like that, he can't skip breakfast. Mr. Aizawa sent me a message saying that Izuku is still a very weak boy, and for him to eat well at meals."
"Okay, I'll wake him up."
Bakugo entered the room and saw Izuku sleeping peacefully, which was a shame to wake him up, but he needed it.
"Izuku, wake up! It's time for coffee."
Still a little sleepy, Izuku got up, knowing that if he stayed on the futon, he would go back to sleep. Going to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face to wake up.
"Good morning Izuku, I made pancakes, I hope you like them." said Mitsuki happily, putting the food on the table.
Izuku was very excited to try the food in front of him, putting it in his mouth, his eyes lit up, it was very tasty. Izuku couldn't stop eating it, it was sweet and melted in his mouth, in short he loved it.
"You can eat as much as you want, I made a lot."
"Thanks."
"Whatever you want Izuku, I'll cook it."
Breakfast was quiet, Bakugo's father also came to join them, it was a very busy breakfast, but Izuku was already getting used to this noisy family.
After breakfast, Izuku decided to do the task the therapist asked him to do in the morning, he took out his notebook and started drawing yesterday and what he ate today. Bakugo also joined him at the table, he decided to study since the final exams were coming up.
"Homework?"
"Yes."
"But you're not going to school yet."
"Katsuki!" said his father, giving a warning.
"WHAT! I only told the truth."
"Izuku's...psychologist...who...told...the...lesson."
"I'm glad you're going to therapy."
"And do you like your therapist?"
"Yes! A...Akane...is...really...cool!"
"That's good Izuku." said Mitsuki.
It didn't take long for Izuku to finish, he drew the Bakugos and him at the table where meals were eaten, and with the Bakugo family with their mouths open indicating that they didn't stop talking.
Bakugou noted that the drawing was very childish, not that he drew better but it was a very colorful drawing, remembering the time they studied together.
It was already lunch time, time passed quickly, Izuku thought.
As promised, Mitsuki prepared curry for lunch today. Izuku was quite excited to try it. Putting the first spoonful in his mouth, it was hot, but he loved it.
Izuku liked it so much that he ordered another dish, which made Mitsuki very happy, putting more on Izuku's plate with a satisfying smile. Bakugo also laughed at his friend eating his favorite food, he was happy that he liked it.
After lunch, Izuku went to watch TV, as his stomach was full and wanted to rest, Bakugo joined him on the couch just to watch the news. The usual heroes, villains and ranking updates, and All Might as always in first place, followed by Endever who came in second.
Bakugo still found it strange that Izuku's eyes didn't shine anymore when news about All Might came out. Remembering their childhood, they both loved the number one hero, he had posters, stickers and even dolls. He was upset that they no longer shared his affection for the #1 hero.
Already rested from lunch, Masuru suggested that the two go to the bakery and choose some pieces of cake for their afternoon snack. Izuku of course was nervous, he didn't really like going out, even with Bakugo he still didn't feel safe. For him it wasn't the same as going out with his father or Hitoshi.
But Izuku didn't want to disappoint Aunt Mitsuki or Uncle Masuru, so he agreed even though it was very difficult. As they walked, Bakugo felt his friend tense up next to him, constantly looking around in fear.
Of course he would be scared, Bakugo thought, after all this neighborhood didn't have good memories, neither for Izuku nor for him. As much as Bakugo wanted to move at the time, this place was a reminder of how cowardly he was, but he understood his family's side of not abandoning Aunt Inko.
There were years of suffering that Bakugo never forgot, and the guilt he felt from that day, if he could go back in time he would have made everything different.
Arriving at the bakery, Bakugo said that Izuku could choose any piece of cake he wanted. Izuku is very excited but asked what flavor uncle and aunt like? And what does Bakugo like?
Izuku wanted to take what others liked, not just for himself, Bakugo reciprocated with a smile and took the pieces they liked.
After choosing, Bakugo went to the cashier to pay and Izuku waited outside, looking around now he realized that that street was familiar, still nervous but curious he decided that he had to look, and because that street was so familiar.
When Bakugo came out with Izuku's shopping bag, but he didn't see him there, which made the boy desperate. Several thoughts ran through Bakugo's head, but he decided to calm down and take a deep breath. There were a lot of people here today and someone must have seen him, so he decided to ask the man who was playing on his cell phone near the entrance.
"Excuse me, did you see a boy with green hair walking by?"
"I saw him, he went into that street over there."
Bakugo was surprised, because he knew that place well, it was the street where there was that playground, where Bakugo never steps again, after Izuku's kidnapping, he couldn't even get close to that playground. After all, that's where it all happened.
But without thinking further, Bakugo ran. Upon arriving near that location, Bakugo looked inside the park and was surprised to see Izuku.
There he was sitting on a swing looking into space, Bakugo decided to get closer but as he entered the playground he felt a knot in his stomach, not only that, his heart was racing and he felt like he couldn't breathe.
And that noise from the swing Izuku was sitting on was unbearable for Bakugo's ears. And there they were, Izuku sitting on the swing staring into space while Bakugo struggled to control his crisis.
"Izuku!"
Izuku looked at the voice calling him and realized that Bakugo wasn't okay.
"WHY DON'T YOU WAIT FOR ME!?" Izuku even got scared, since I've never seen Bakugo like that.
"Sorry." getting up from the swing.
"No, I have to apologize. I was nervous because you disappeared, don't do that anymore." Bakugo says taking Izuku's hand and taking him out of the park.
"I'm sorry...Izuku...don't...do...that anymore."
"Okay, but please Izuku, don't disappear like that." Bakugo said trying to calm down.
Izuku just nodded and followed his way back in silence. When he got home, Bakugo didn't say anything, he just left the bag on the table.
"They took a while, did something happen?" Masuru asked.
Izuku was about to say what he did, but before he could speak Bakugo decided to go ahead and said to his father: "We went for a walk."
Then heading towards the kitchen, to leave the pieces of cake on the table. The two went to the room to relax.
They stayed in silence for half an hour in that room, Izuku wanted to say something but he didn't know exactly what to say. That was when Bakugo fell silent.
"I hate that playground."
"Why?" Bakugo then glared at him.
"Because that place reminds me of that day you were taken. I never want to go back there again."
Izuku understood in part, that park had good memories for him, things only got bad when it was revealed that Izuku didn't have a quirk. But before that things were good. And Izuku had nothing against that place, since he was taken off the street, but he didn't want to hurt Bakugo.
"It...makes...Kachan...feel...bad. Izuku...never...goes...to...the... park... again." Now feeling lighter Bakugo gave him a smile.
"Shall we play that hero board game again?"
"Yes!"
After that the afternoon was calmer, after playing several times it was time for lunch. The pieces of cake were a little crushed, so Bakugo's mother scolded him, and her father tried to calm her down. And Izuku only saw that scene feeling bad for the trouble he caused his friend.
They spent most of their time playing games and talking as a family. Izuku thought it was a lot of fun, but after dinner at the end of the night he missed his father. But Izuku knew that tomorrow he would see him again.
++The next day++
It was already Sunday, Saturday was fun, but Izuku already wanted to go home with his father, but Bakugo spent the morning in a bad mood knowing that his friend was leaving. The parents were a little emotional about Izuku leaving, but they couldn't do anything.
The doorbell rang and Izuku went to the door excitedly, and when Mitsuki opened the door, she saw her father with that tired look he always had, but that Izuku loved anyway.
"Daddy!" Running to the door and giving him a hug, he missed him so much.
"How was your week? Did you have fun?" he asked, returning the hug.
"Yes... Izuku... had fun..."
"Then you can come here other times." Aizawa said looking at the Bakugo family who were holding back tears because Izuku was already leaving.
"It was an amazing weekend, we hope you come visit Izuku."
"Izuku... come... visit... yes." he said and gave Mitsuki a hug, who after that started crying.
"We'll miss you without you here." Masuru said. Patting Izuku on the head.
Bakugo only saw his parents with Izuku, since for him, he would always see Izuku, especially when he starts at U.A.
After saying goodbye to Bakugo's parents, Izuku hugged Aizawa again and that's when Bakugou realized something. That look, Izuku hadn't lost that look of admiration when he saw the heroes. Now that look was only for his true number one hero, the one who saved him and became his father. Bakugo gets emotional, because he thought his friend had lost that shine, he really needs to respect that underground hero.
After everyone said their goodbyes, Aizawa took Izuku straight home, where he spent the day with his father. Aizawa didn't mind, as he found the situation very cute and already suspected that his son was missing him. In the end it was Aizawa who put the boy to bed since he was fighting sleep.
"Sleep well my son." Aizawa said, closing the bedroom door.
++Another day++
Izuku was moved by showing the photo to everyone who went to Aizawa's house, Yagi was moved by seeing how small he was in the photos, and Hizashi was very moved thinking about how the boy was so cute when he was younger. And also most importantly, they finally met Miss. Inko, she was a very beautiful woman and her son looked a lot like her.
Hitoshi also showed up after classes ended and saw the photos, he was holding back the urge to take out his cell phone to capture these photos.
"Come on, we have to leave, start your training Hitoshi."
What confused Izuku in all this, training? Hitoshi noticed his friend's confusion.
"My training for the hero, I also received two letters of recommendation, I'm going to study at U.A!"
Izuku just jumped on top of him and gave him a hug, he knew how much his friend wanted to be a hero and he was happy for him.
"Izuku...is...happy...for...Hitoshi."
"Thank you very much, Izuku."
"Very well, you two, we have to go." Warned Aizawa.
It didn't take long to get to Hazashi's office, as they went by car.
"They finally arrived, I thought I had given up." commented Hazashi jokingly.
"Never! I will become a hero." said Hitoshi excitedly.
"Very well, change your clothes and meet me on the training court." Aizawa said with a firm voice. And Hitoshi obeyed immediately, changing his uniform into something that was easier to move around in, a simple white blouse and loose shorts.
"Very good to start, 20 laps around the court." said Aizawa.
"But...I thought I was going to learn your technique."
"And you will, but first you need to strengthen your muscles and your resistance before learning the technique, which is why you will start by doing 20 laps. "
And Hitoshi started running, on the 5th lap he couldn't take it anymore, he wasn't a person who exercised, in fact he was quite sedentary, but he wasn't going to give up so easily.
Izuku was already worried, sher friend was sweating a lot and was out of breath when he completed the eighth lap.
"Daddy." What Aizawa understood was that his son was worried.
"It's for his own good. And I'm taking it easy at the beginning, don't worry." he said, patting his son's head.
"I think he will need your support, Izuku. Let's shout loudly!" Hazashi said excitedly.
"HITOCHAN...STRENGTH!" Izuku shouted using all the air in his lungs to his friend.
Leaving everyone surprised, and leaving Hitoshi much more motivated to continue even though his legs were hurting.
"Come with me Izuku, there's a drinking machine nearby. I think Hitoshi will want some water." Hazashi said. So the two went to buy water.
While they were buying drinks, Hitoshi finally managed to complete the laps. He just lay on the ground right there, panting, it felt like his lungs were going to come out of his mouth.
While Hitoshi was lying on the ground, Izuku approached offering a bottle of water. Who immediately took it and drank it all! He really was very thirsty and tired!
"Thanks Izuku, for the water." he finally said to Izuku, who just smiled back.
"Also, thank you for rooting for me."
"Let's take a break, catch our breath and let's keep getting stronger." Aizawa said, approaching the two.
"Yes! Sensei!"
Izuku was very happy for Hitoshi to be his father's apprentice, and also excited to see his father's development.
"Daddy."
"Yes?"
-Izuku...will...can...see...Hitoshi's...training? - He asked.
"If you want, you can watch all the training. He will definitely like his fan a lot."
+In All Might's apartment +
Yagi in his apartment was relaxing on the couch watching TV, but he actually wanted to be with young Izuku. He really got attached to the boy, he wasn't sure what feelings he had for him. He felt immense gratitude, but he also thought of him as a son he never had, it was a feeling that warmed Yagi's heart.
But now he was home and he felt alone at that moment, even in the comfort of his home. The truth is that the feeling of jealousy he felt towards Aizawa still hasn't completely disappeared. But he got better, little by little.
His cell phone rang, breaking him out of his thoughts. Looking at his cell phone, he was surprised as it was his friend who he hadn't spoken to in a while.
"Sir Nighteye? What a good surprise!"
"Yagi, how are you? "
"I'm actually feeling really good!"
"And you didn't think to tell me? "
"I'm sorry, I was going to tell you, I actually wanted to surprise you."
"Is it about the green-haired boy?"
"Nighteye, do you know about him?"
"All Might, pay close attention to what I'm going to say. The future I had seen has changed! "
