Welp, I suppose it's time I say this, but this isn't canon to the Neptunia lore, but rather, it's canon to an AU I made for it, so if there are things that you feel don't make sense, please keep that in mind. Now, with that said, let's begin the story of Uni and how she learns something… new, about Noire.
"Finally, I'm done with all the paperwork for today…" was all the young candidate could say as she sighs in relief for what she has done.
Truth be told, while Uni certainly didn't mind all that work, afterall, it's mandatory for a CPU, especially one that's a candidate, at the same time, she could only wish it wasn't that stressful. It's so stressful, to the point that sometimes, she wonders how Noire feels during all this. Sure, on the outside, she does them with ease, which is pretty impressive for Uni, but… yeah, she probably finds this just as tiresome as the young candidate does.
The worst thing though? This is pretty much how it is ever since Kei left. Before she left, the regular paperwork that would take for atleast a solide 2-3 hours is done much quicker, due to the Basilicom having 3 people. Now… ok, she won't lie and say that Kei, may have a done a smart choice in leaving, as that's very stressful, but still, the fact that she left unannounced, leaving the 2 Lastation CPUs to do all the work was very annoying.
In times like these, she is quite jealous of her candidate counterparts, because, while Nepgear also does work, mainly because her lazy excuse of an older sister couldn't be bothered to do it, she didn't mind doing them. And as for the twins? Well, one good look at them and you can already tell the problem, they were children, they're not at the age where that's mandatory.
But whatever, that's not her top priority, right now, she's going to the Lastation office, to announce Noire, who usually sits by whenever she was done, that she's done with her side of the work. That's pretty much how it went for her really, and, if she were to be honest, she didn't mind. It was now time for her to open the door.
"Hey Noire, I'm done with all the work I have for today", well, that's what she was about to say, but when she got to the "I", she noticed that Noire was absent in the office. "Huh?" Was all she could say as a reaction to such sight.
Right now, all she could think of was where Noire might be. It's quite unusual for Noire to not be present at all.
There were two possibilities for Uni. The first one was that Noire was in a meeting at one of the Nation's Basilicom, but that was immediately debunked by the fact that Noire would usually announce her that she's going to the Basilicom, heck, sometimes, she even comes by aswell, usually to hang out with nation's respective candidates.
The second possibility was that Noire was cosplaying. Yeah right. If Noire really was cosplaying, she would have heard by now.
Now Uni's very stressed. For all she knew, Noire might be missing, and that's not very good, especially considering the fact that she's the Goddess. Whoever's responsible for such tragedy, is gonna get a hell of a nightma-
"Uuungghhh"
Well, it looks like she got her answer. But this got Uni confused: Who would make such a sound? Where did it come from? And more importantly, why did it sound like Noire?
That last question was the one she was most concerned about, in a hurry, she came to check in Noire's room. By the time she opened the door, she saw that Noire was fine, well, except for the fact that she looks like she got unconscious, and that there was a ton of paperwork scattered around.
"NOIRE!" was what Uni responded by such a mess, yelling at the top of lungs. Luckily for her, Noire managed to wake up.
"Uggggh, what happened?" said the taller, but more modest girl, as she woke up, only to see Uni looking very concerned. "U-Uni…?"
"Noire, what the hell happened here? Why were you knocked out, and what's with all the paper on the floor?"
Clearly, Noire was still not feeling very well from all that, as the only thing she said was a simple "what?".
"Noire, this is not good at all. You really need to go bed". said the rather concerned candidate, as she picked up Noire from such a state.
"Uni, I'm fiiine, I don't need to-" "Like hell you are, you need some rest right now, I'll do the work for you."
A few hours later
After she finished doing Noire's part of the work, she was sitting at the desk looking rather concerned: What happened to Noire? Why was she knocked out like that? Is she ok? However, those thoughts would stop once she heard footsteps.
"Hey, Uni? What are you doing here? And what's with that face? Why do you look so sad all of a sudden?" Uni looked to see the source of that voice, and lo and behold, there was Noire, who seemed much better than before.
"Hey Noire, don't mind me. Just done with your side of the work after I saw you lying down unconscious"
"Huh? Unconscious? Did I get knocked out of nowhere again?"
"Yeah, you- wait, again?"
Now this was awkward, the two Lastation CPUs were standing face to face, seemingly having nothing to say to eachother, until Uni decided to break the silence
"Noire, what's going on? Please, tell me what's wrong"
All Noire could do was sigh. It's not like she had any other choice, but still, the fact that it happened was not good.
"Alright Uni, I guess it's high time I tell you everything about me. But first, let me ask you a question: Remember how I felt when Neptune mentioned something about my past?"
All Uni could reply was a simple "yes". She remembered it all too well. The day Neptune was about to remind the candidates the time when Blanc betrayed Noire, only to be interrupted by 2 deadly glares of both Noire and Blanc, to which Blanc responded by saying: "Look Neptune, I know this is just us reminding our sisters about past and what they were like, but never, EVER, mention that ever again. Especially when Noire's present", only for Neptune to reply by saying: "Oops, sorry Noire"
Noire decided to continue talking: "Alright so, keep this between you and me, I don't want anyone else to know about this at all, ok? Now, where do I begin? Oh right, you see Uni, I, much like the other goddesses, was very different in the past, but the difference is that I was extremely insane, while the others, except for maybe Vert, were just as hungry for power as I was. My mind was fixated on killing both Neptune and Blanc, but mostly Blanc. Now, you may be wondering: "Why?", well, I suppose you deserve to know why, you see, Blanc and I weren't always enemies, we were friends, and one time, we made a deal on developing the Lowee Station Player, however, it seemed like Blanc secretely made a deal with a certain… other girl, who I'll call Philips. Philips was, for lack of a better, not a very nice girl, she was very egotistical, even more than Neptune if I'm being honest. Well anyways, when I found out about Blanc's scheme, I was gutted, backstabbed, and as a result, I have changed for the worse. This may come as a surprise to you Uni, and I can't blame you, for I did a good job hiding my murdering schemes." the conversation went on for a while, and as it progressed, Uni's face was usually one of pure shock, almost as if she saw a ghost.
"Noire… I… wow, that was… sorry, I'll be going right now" after she said this, Uni got up, and was about to head to her room, only for Noire to interrupt her.
"Actually Uni, I wanna tell you something real quick." Uni stopped, turned around and asked: "Huh, what is it Noire?"
"Uni… I wanna say, thank you for taking the time to listen to what I have to say. I want you to know that I'm only doing all of this because I care about you. This, all of this, the whole reason I told you about my past so as to warn you about not doing the same mistake I did. I'm… very proud of you for not causing war on the other candidates, truly, I am." as soon as she finished saying what she had to say, she quickly started hugging her little sister.
Uni, during all of this, started to tear up, she couldn't believe it: Noire is proud of her. She always wanted that to be reality, but never did she expect it to be so soon.
"N-Noire, t-thank you, that really means a lot to me"
"Anytime Uni, say, you wanna try out some dresses I bought for you to get your mind out of all that?"
"…Sure, I would love that"
Afterwards, the two were now trying some outfits they have. Uni was clearly happy that she got to spend some time with her sister, even if the events that came before it were very surprising.
Maybe today wasn't a bad day after all….
Wooowie, that was… yeah… being honest with you, I wanted to take it to a different approach then the one about the Nep sisters, but hey, I suppose I'm proud of the end result… As always, any feedback is appreciated.
