When they got home everyone jumped but calmed down when they saw it was Sonic, Shadow and Silver.
"Where have you been?!" Rouge asked.
"At Chuck's lab." Shadow said and handed Sonic the Emerald.
"Why?" Amy asked.
"We're the new Team Sonic." Silver said.
"Excuse me?" Rouge said and Shadow looked at her.
"Tell Commander I'm retiring from GUN." Shadow said.
"But we're a team! Me, you and Omega!"
"I know. But I can't deal with this anymore. If there's something really big just call me and I'll be there but I can't do it."
She sighed but nodded.
"What are those?" Cream asked.
"Communicators for all of you. The one on the left is for us while the one on the right is for you. He color coded you so you don't get them confused." Sonic said.
"He did the same for Tails and Knuckles." Silver said.
"Sonia will give Knuckles his and someone else will give his to Tails." Silver said.
"I'll give it to Tails." Cream said and they nodded so Sonic handed her Tails'.
Then everyone else took theirs.
"The one on the left of ours is only for Team Sonic while the one on the right is for all of us." Sonic said and they nodded.
"Alright, I'm gonna go give this to Tails." Cream said and they nodded so she got her ears ready and started flying to Tails' Workshop.
Meanwhile Sonia was at Angle Island to see Knuckles laying on his back staring at the sky.
"Knuckles?" Sonia said and he looked at her and sat up.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" he asked and stood up.
"I came to give you this." she said and handed him a new communicator.
"A new communicator?" he said confused.
"It's from uncle Chuck. He made one for everyone. Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Blaze, you, Tails, me and Manic."
"What about Silver? And who's Team Sonic? We split up earlier."
"Shadow and Silver tried to find him because they just about match his speed and found him. They knew with you two leaving him they were the closest he had so they joined him and became the new Team Sonic. Shadow retired from GUN and Team Dark but said he'd be there if they needed him for something big."
"Makes sense. They make a good team when it comes to a Super fight." he said and shrugged.
"They really do."
Meanwhile Cream was at Tails' Workshop.
"Tails?" Cream said and Tails looked at her.
"Hey Cream." he said. "What's up?"
"Chuck made this for us all." she said and handed him the communicator.
"Thanks. Why is there a part saying Team Sonic?"
"Shadow retired from GUN and joined Sonic along with Silver. They just about match everything. Especially speed and Super."
"True. OK, thanks." he said and got back to work.
Cream watched him and then flew home.
Meanwhile Sonic was with Shadow and Silver getting used to working together as a team.
They all knew it was going to take some getting used to and didn't know what was in the future but Sonia, Manic, Amy, Cream, Rouge, Blaze, Silver and Shadow hoped Sonic, Tails and Knuckles could at least be friends again in the future. Maybe even the first and true Team Sonic.
