Dark smoke soared into the clouded sky on a distant world. Magma was visible through the countless crevices spread across the ground. The buildings fell apart just by a weak wind. A densely populated world turned into a lifeless rock within a week. Animals were the only remaining life forms on the planet besides its invaders.

The ruthless invaders numbered only three. Despite their low number, they exterminated the entire population as if it were a game. The trio sat by the campfire in the middle of a devastated metropolis. While a large, brawny bald male devoured the meat of the animal's bone, his long-haired companion mended the open wound upon its right shoulder.

"Um. You got lucky again, runt. If it weren't for me, you'd be sprawled across the ground in pieces like these guys."

The giant snickered while the younger male shot a deadly glare in his direction. "Easy there, tiger. Your weak body's gonna fall apart if you glare any harder." The bald invader laughed out loud as he chewed on a bone.

On the opposite side, the long-haired male spat on the ground before snarling at his companion. "Shut it, Nappa! They got me by surprise! It wouldn't have happened if you didn't get in my way!" He bit the flesh in his mouth as the pain from tying a bandage around the wound sent an intense pain across his body.

"Tch, tch! You're always making excuses for yourself. That's why we still call you Raditz the runt! Face it, you're a liability to us!"

The one called Raditz gritted his teeth as he glared at the older and much stronger male. He turned his gaze elsewhere and remained silent. The wounded invader wished he could kill the bald giant, but that was impossible. He endured the pain and Nappa's constant provocating jabs until his other companion appeared.

A short but intimidating man with flame-like hair approached the two warriors. "Enough bickering from you two fools! I am on the line with Zarbon." The stern look in his dark eyes and commanding tone forced Nappa and Raditz to case their squabble instantly.

"Vegeta, still alive? It's been a week, and we grew worried about your status. Lord Freeza's quite disappointed it took a whole week for three adult Saiyans to conquer such a small planet."

The short invader did his best to ignore the sarcastic remarks emitting from the small device. "Yes, dully noted. Inform Freeza the planet is ready for sale whenever the buyers are ready." He crossed his arms before the chest as he sat down on a stone.

"Manners, Vegeta! It's Lord Freeza! Or is your primitive brain unable to understand a simple instruction? Well, it shouldn't be a surprise. After all, you and your little pack are known to screw up even the simplest of missions."

A throbbing vein surfaced on Vegeta's temple while Nappa angrily broke the bone in half. "I already told Lord Freeza that there won't be any more screw-ups! Do you have anything else to rely on us, or are we done?" He glared at Raditz, who immediately paled out of fear.

"Nothing for now, little Vegeta. However, we will be in touch soon after Lord Freeza returns."

Once the transmission got cut off, Nappa arose from the floor and let out a thunderous growl. "Those bastards! We do all the dirty work for them, and they disrespect us left and right!" The brawny warrior punched the nearby building, causing it to crumble.

"Vegeta! We should do something about it once and for all! Working under them like slaves is no longer safe!"

While the shorter male remained quiet, Raditz chimed in. "For once, I agree with Nappa. However, what do you suggest we do? Challenge Freeza? Run away? And have the Ginyu Force chase after us?" The long-haired warrior felt shivers down his spine just imagining the horrible and brutal ends to their lives.

The colossal warrior snapped at his companion with blazing fury. "I'd rather go down in battle knowing we fought for our pride! But a low-class cowardly dog like you could never understand!" Nappa squeezed both fists tightly as he intensely glared at Raditz.

"There's also the thing about planet Vegeta's destruction! I kept quiet for decades, but a meteor shower couldn't destroy the planet! No chance in hell!"

Upon hearing that, the flame-haired warrior interrupted his older companion. "Nappa! Take off the scouter before you say something you might regret later." Both warriors immediately removed the devices from their faces when ordered to do so.

With the scouter out of the way, Nappa resumed talking. "I heard it was Freeza himself who destroyed our planet! It makes more sense than a stupid meteor!" The older warrior clenched his teeth out of anger as an image of the said person crossed his mind.

Raditz placed a hand under his chin and thought about it. "It's a high possibility, but that would make us the biggest fools in the galaxy. Working like slaves and enduring so much slander from people responsible for our home's annihilation." He gazed at Vegeta and wondered what the flame-haired warrior was thinking.

"That's why I'm saying we need to do something! We can't continue working for that asshole any longer!"

The tone and the visible rage on the older male's face easily told them what Nappa wanted to do. However, Raditz shared a different idea. The long-haired Saiyan remained silent on the topic as he didn't want to share what he really thought. The last thing he wanted was to cross Freeza and end up suffering a horrifying death. Unlike his two companions, Raditz was somewhat afraid of death, which was usually frowned upon by Saiyans.

At that moment, Vegeta finally opened his mouth and spoke. "Get rid of any notion to challenge Freeza or any of his upper officers, Nappa. Sadly, we can't do anything to Freeza or his buttlickers." The short Saiyan got off the stone and approached the campfire.

"However! Mark my words! I will be the end of Freeza's reign!"

While Raditz made no remarks, Nappa nodded and continued. "If only there were more of us! We could at least conquer planets faster and avoid getting lectures from those jerks!" The giant angrily ate the last remaining piece of meat while glaring at the flames.

Meanwhile, a sudden thought crossed Raditz's mind. "K-Kakarot... I just remembered my younger brother! If I recall correctly, the little twerp got sent to some faraway world called Etarh or something along those lines." The Saiyan jumped on his feet as enthusiasm took hold of him.

Nappa blinked out of confusion before he remembered about someone else. "Vegeta! What about Tar..." The giant noticed a vicious glare from the shorter Saiyan and instantly closed his mouth.

"Don't even mention that sorry excuse for a Saiyan! I never had a sibling to begin with."

The bald warrior wanted to push the topic, as they needed all available help but knew better than to annoy Vegeta. "O-Of course. Sorry." He let out a long sigh and resumed eating the meat.

However, Vegeta got intrigued by Raditz's information. "Because he is your brother doesn't exactly fill me with as much confidence and enthusiasm as it does for you. Do you think a third-rate Saiyan child could have survived thus far?" He gazed at the long-haired male who seemed unsure.

Raditz thought about it before answering Vegeta. "Yes! From what I remember, the world he got sent to has a below-average battle power. Even the likes of Kakarot should have survived." It was a gamble, but he was willing to take it. After all, he grew tired of being a laughingstock.

"Hah! I say we ignore what the runt just said. Do we really need another worthless bug who'll always get us in trouble?"

Instead of Vegeta responding, Raditz let out a fierce growl as he walked toward Nappa. "Shut your ugly mug, Nappa! I had it with you and your nonsense!" The Saiyan's muscles tensed as he halted a few steps before the giant.

The burly warrior closed his eyes and spat the bone on the ground. Nappa arose in an easygoing way and smirked at the angered companion. "Okaay, and what'll you do about it, weakling? Do you think you stand a chance against mighty Nappa when you can barely beat one measly Saibamen?" The older male continued to provoke Raditz, whose clenched fists began to bleed.

"Enough of this childish bickering!"

Upon hearing Vegeta's voice, both warriors returned to their spots while baring their fangs at each other. "You! Better be certain about your brother, or I will ensure it was your last mistake!" His deadly stare pierced right through Raditz.

Cold sweat rolled down Raditz's face as he stared at Vegeta. "I-I won't disappoint you, Vegeta! I can leave right this instant!" The flame-haired male forced him to halt before he could even make two steps.

"No. You are not going by yourself. We learned from past experiences that you always make a mess whenever you are left alone. We are going with you this time, and you better not fail!"

Raditz nodded weakly while Nappa grinned. "Babysitting the runt as we always do. Nothing has changed, huh?" The giant slammed his shoulder into his long-haired companion and chuckled.

"So, what are the coordinates for... what did you call it, Earth?"

Upon hearing the name, Raditz finally felt sure that was the name. "Yes, planet Earth it is! We should head there right away before Zarbon sends us somewhere else." He was glad no one questioned him regarding the other name he had given earlier.

"First, we are going to Freeza #448. We will get the coordinates of Earth and take a mission in the same sector. That way, no one will question our whereabouts or what we did there."

The other Saiyans nodded and agreed with their short leader. However, Nappa had an important question to ask. "And what about the earthlings? Can we toy with them, Vegeta?" The man's eyes almost sparkled as he awaited an answer while he imagined himself slaughtering hundreds of people.

However, Vegeta's stern voice crushed Nappa's little daydream quickly. "Forget it, Nappa! We are going to retrieve Kakarot and nothing more!" Unlike the giant, he didn't want to waste time killing those beneath him.

Although, an idea came into his mind. "Unless we are cornered by an unexpected development and forced to prepare an extra planet for Freeza, in case he figures out what we are doing there." It was always better to be precocious when dealing with Freeza.

The Saiyan trio entered their pods and blasted high into the cloudy sky. Their vessels were clad in a white glow as they raced through the endless dark void with great speed.

While their long-haired companion got his wounds patched by the medical staff and searched for coordinates, Vegeta and Nappa strolled down the corridor. The shorter Saiyan remained silent and ignored the frightened stares. Unlike the flame-haired warrior, Nappa looked like he had fun teasing other soldiers. The giant suddenly side-stepped and caused a rookie to faint on the spot. While Nappa's thunderous laughter echoed within the station walls, Vegeta rolled his eyes.

"Enough fooling around, Nappa! We are on serious business here! The less we draw attention to us, the better!"

The older male instantly stopped and quietly followed the younger warrior. "Hey, Vegeta. How come you decided to agree to this? It is unlike you to take anything Raditz says seriously. And to actually care to have another low-class bug within our ranks." Nappa played with his mustache while he awaited a reply.

"Because I will take an opportunity I can get, even if it means relying on a couple of third-rate trash. Don't get me wrong, Nappa. When I see I have no use of those morons, I will either dispose of them or use them as a shield!"

Nappa raised a brow in surprise. However, his surprise quickly turned into a chuckle. "Hah! As twisted as ever!" The burly Saiyan already felt sorry for Raditz and his little brother.

However, the Saiyan drew their attention forward as a familiar figure waltzed toward them. "Well, well. It isn't his majesty, Prince Vegeta, and the always-present bodyguard Nappa! Hmm, that's strange! Where's the jester Raditz?" Both warriors let out an annoyed growl upon halting their tracks.

"Beat it Appule! What we do here is none of your concerns!"

The large-headed soldier chuckled as he stared at the flame-haired Saiyan. "C'mon, don't be like that, Vegeta. We're comrades! Fighting for the same cause!" The soldier named Appule got closer to the warrior and touched the man's shoulder.

"I'm just passing by; there is no need to be startled by old me. Although, I'm surprised to see you guys here. Did Zarbon send you here?"

While Nappa wanted to strangle the yellow-doted soldier, Vegeta dealt with Apple quietly. "No, but what we are doing here is none of your concern, is it?" The Saiyan shifted his orbs toward Appule, who suddenly felt smaller than Vegeta.

"However, as I am a loyal soldier of our great leader, I will inform you we are here to take another mission. Why, just as we speak, Raditz went to collect the task and coordinates. We Saiyan can never sit tight and need to satisfy our urges."

The dark tone and fierce look in the Saiyan's eyes horrified Appule, who had trouble breathing. "R-R-Right! W-Well, I'm sure you guys got it covered!" Appule stuttered a lot as he let go of Vegeta.

Appule turned away and looked at Saiyans with a fake smile. "C-Conquer as many worlds as possible in Lord Freeza's name!" He shifted his gaze forward and muttered a word under his breath. "Die, you monkeys..." However, the large-headed soldier didn't seem to notice Raditz and slammed into the man's chest.

Upon seeing that it was Raditz, Appul shouted at the Saiyan. "Out of my way, scum!" The purple male ran down the corridor while the long-haired warrior wondered what was happening.

The confused Saiyan stood still until Nappa's voice snapped him out of. "Forget about that idiot. Do you have the coordinates?" Raditz gazed at his companions and walked towards them.

While adjusting the new battle gear, Raditz handed Nappa a piece of paper. "Coordinates for Earth and planet Arlia. The distance between the two worlds is only eleven days. Do you guys want to head to Arlia first or Earth? Or how about I head to..." The long-haired warrior instantly shut his mouth upon feeling Vegeta's murderous glare.

"We are heading to Arlia first. I assume you reported that we are taking the larger ship?"

The addressed Saiyan quickly nodded. "Of course. It took some time to pay off the guy, but it ended well." Raditz trailed behind Vegeta and Nappa as he usually did. "I also looked at the power level of the species inhabiting Arlia, and we should take over the world within a day or two." A prideful smirk surfaced on his face as he was confident in his abilities to deal with this mission without a problem.

"And what of Earth?"

As they walked out of the station, the long-haired warrior resumed talking. "No data on the planet. I guess Freeza really doesn't care much about that sector besides Arlia for some reason." There was no response from Vegeta or Nappa. Raditz added nothing more and boarded the rounded vessel along with his companions. Once cleared for take-off, the Saiyan blasted to a new destination.

After spending more than six months traveling, the Saiyans were en route to Earth. The blue world was within reach, and Raditz couldn't wait to land. Sitting in the pilot seat, the long-haired warrior wondered how his younger brother would react to seeing him again. A smirk reflected upon the window as the tall Saiyan navigated the ship toward Earth. He was certain fetching his brother would go without a hitch. The warrior could already imagine the two of them conquering worlds and, eventually, getting rid of Vegeta and Nappa.

"The days when I'm free of their ridicule will come! And you will help me, Kakarot!"

The Saiyan squeezed the steering controller tightly and seemed lost in thought until the metal doors slid open. "Almost there! I hope Kakarot's worth the hassle." Raditz ignored Nappa's voice and focused on driving.

"Those cockroaches on Arlia were such a disappointment. But having so many treasures must've been why that freak Freeza was interested in the planet."

Nappa chuckled as he took hold of the golden crown filled with shiny diamonds and put it on his head. "Truly fit for a king. March forward, peasant!" The giant's loud laugh echoed within the room, which annoyed his younger comrade.

Unable to contain himself, Raditz barked at the bald warrior. "Tch! Would you shut your mouth!? Can't you see I'm trying to concentrate!" He wished he could erase Nappa from existence once and for all. Alas, the time to get rid of the troublesome warrior was not yet here.

"Bah! You're no fun anymore, runt. I miss the days when you knew how to take a joke. And a punch or two."

Raditz tried his best to ignore Nappa's words. He focused on steering the spaceship as they passed by the sun. Just at that moment, the Saiyan prince entered the room. The long-haired male continued to do his job while Vegeta stared at Nappa with a golden crown on his bald head. The sight of the Saiyan with the crown was so bizarre even for Vegeta that the flame-haired warrior lost the ability to speak for a second.

The prince shook his head and touched his forehead, already feeling the headache rising. "Nappa, I thought I made myself clear. No one besides myself can touch or come close to the treasure. If something happens to it by any chance, you know what I will do, right?" His threatening appearance and low voice sent shivers down Nappa's spine.

"Y-Yes, Vegeta!"

While Nappa quickly put the crown back in the crate and safely closed it, Raditz chuckled. "We're about to land, Vegeta. What's the plan once we disembark?" He stirred the vessel towards the planet and penetrated the world's atmosphere.

The Saiyan prince observed the flames surrounding the ship as he spoke. "You are going to locate and track down Kakarot. Bring him to the ship and test his strength in combat. Meanwhile, Nappa and I are going to do some sightseeing. This rock might be more valuable than we initially thought." Vegeta came to such a conclusion once he saw the clear sky and vast, blue ocean.

A simple nod from Raditz was enough of a confirmation. "Hmm. You're correct, Vegeta. The planet's thriving with organic life. Both on land and in the ocean, according to the scanner." Added the tall warrior while they flew across the water and slowly descended on the grassy ground.

Once the ship landed on its mechanical spider-like legs, the gates opened and lowered a ramp. The Saiyans left the vessel and basked in the sun's warm light. A refreshing breeze blew across the field and caused the Saiyans to take a moment. They could hear the waves crashing against the sandy shore, which caused them to relax for a minute after a long time. However, their enjoyment ended abruptly once the prince gave out a command.

"Would you two stop behaving like idiots and check your scouters for high power levels? If there even are any on this backwater planet."

Raditz and Nappa did as told. After a couple of seconds, the bald warrior scoffed. "Pfftt! The power levels I picked up barely register on the scouter. For some reason, tho, the people of this rock are still alive. I wonder why?" Nappa snickered as he patted Raditz's shoulder.

The long-haired warrior knew precisely what his companion tried to say. "Heh! You spoke too soon, as you always tend to do! A battle power of 322 to the south from here! I bet that's Kakarot!" It was a weak power level, but he could work with that. At least he knew Kakarot was alive, and Vegeta had no excuse to kill him.

"322!? Hah! What a joke! That's your younger brother, for sure!"

Raditz ignored the massive Saiyan and turned to Vegeta. A simple hand gesture was enough for the long-haired male to understand he could leave. While Raditz flew toward the located battle power, Vegeta and Nappa ventured to the first highly populated area.

The long hair swayed wildly on the wind as Raditz blitzed across the sky. He couldn't believe how excited he was to finally get his younger brother. While he did not understand why Kakarot left the earthlings to live, he assumed his sibling had a good reason. Maybe the young Saiyan felt lonely after slaughtering the native tribe and decided to spare them. Whatever it was, Raditz made a mental note to approach his younger brother carefully.

He snapped out of his thoughts once a faint noise emerged from the device. "There he is! On top of that cliff!" The warrior abruptly halted and twirled in the air before he landed. However, upon gazing forward, the Saiyan was startled by the man's appearance. "Feh! You're not Kakarot!" The man glared annoyingly at the green man with pointy ears.

The tall man clad in white and purple robes glared back, trying to hide the fear from the long-haired stranger. "And who might you be? Do you have business with me?" A single drop of sweat traveled down his face as he locked his dark eyes on the powerful figure.

"Not with the likes of you. A person with such a weak power level couldn't possibly be Kakarot. Sorry, but I have no interest in you."

Upon hearing such an insult, the anger replaced the fear for a second. "What did you say!? Do you have any idea who you're talking to!?" Never in his life was he so insulted, and he couldn't let it slide.

The Saiyan lifted a hand and hid the smirk as he stared at the fuming person. "Should I care?" Raditz chuckled as he stared at the man before him without a hint of fear and a high level of superiority.

Against better judgment, the green man swiftly put a hand forward and shouted. "HAAAH!" He fired an orange blast and hit the target head-on. While the dust spread across the area, the man smirked. "I think you might regret crossing paths with the reincarnation of the great Demon King Piccolo!" His gloating quickly ended once he felt the ki signal intact.

"N-No! I hit him at such a close distance with a powerful ki blast! Even Son Goku would have trouble getting up after getting hit! Who is he!?"

Seeing the man cower in fear filled the Saiyan with immense joy. "A lovely dust show if that was your intention." He dusted off his armor and approached the trembling Piccolo. "I think it's my turn. How about I demonstrate what real power looks like!?" His menacing voice and animal-like eyes froze Piccolo on the spot.

The man named Piccolo couldn't even register the moment Raditz swung his massive fist. A gut-wrenching strike rendered the green man unable to breathe or move a single muscle. Once the Saiyan pulled the fist, Piccolo stumbled backward while holding onto the gut. Purple blood poured down the man's lips while the white and purple turban fell on the rocky ground.

Raditz noticed the heavy crashing sound and found himself curious about the turban. As he touched the thing, he noticed it was rather heavy. "Ooh! Interesting! To compensate for the weak gravity on this planet, you decided to wear heavy clothes to further your strength. Quite smart of you." The Saiyan moved the turban between his hands before he let it fall to the ground.

"However, I don't have any use for you. I need to find..."

The scouter came to life again just before he was about to deliver a finishing blow. "Hmm! An even greater power is nearby! That must be you, Kakarot!" Raditz blasted high into the sky and flew at top speed toward the location of the stronger battle power.

Meanwhile, Piccolo dropped to his knees and stared at the ground. "That guy's going to be a major problem!" The martial artist punched the soil and let out a frustrating snarl. However, his eyes widened at the chilling feeling suddenly washing over him. "W-What's going on!? I can feel two much powerful energies to the east!" Piccolo had trouble coming to terms with what was going on.

Unaware of what was coming to them, Son Goku and his friends gathered on Master Roshi's little island. Despite inviting everyone, the only ones who gathered were the famous Turtle Hermit, the beautiful genius Bulma, and Master Roshi's best students, Son Goku and Krillin. However, the Earth's mightiest martial artist brought quite a surprise to him. No one could have ever anticipated that Son Goku would father a child. Even after seeing the little boy, Roshi and others struggled to grasp reality.

While Bulma watched over the small boy with medium-long black hair and a brown tail, Son Goku talked with his teacher and best friend. "We had trouble finding a name for him, so in the end, we decided to name him Gohan." Goku grinned as he gazed at his little boy.

Upon seeing the look on his student's young faces, Master Roshi also smiled. "Son Gohan, huh? I'm sure your late grandpa would have been proud and honored." The old master shifted his gaze at the boy, who got scared of the waves and ran to Goku.

"Daddy!"

Goku laughed as he picked up his son. When he saw how scared Gohan got because of the waves, Krillin couldn't help but be surprised. "Geez! He's a bit different than when you were a kid, right?" As he observed the boy, the bald earthling placed both hands behind his head.

While he caressed Gohan's head, Goku looked at the shorter male. "Well, I guess so. But I know Gohan's got strength in him, but Chi-Chi gets mad when I try to train him!" Son Goku made a pouty face as he spoke to his best friend.

"Really? That's such a waste, tho."

The wild-haired martial artist agreed and continued. "I'll say! Chi-Chi says the world's at peace now and that Gohan should study." After the boy calmed down, Goku put Gohan on the sandy ground and let him approach a little crab darting across the shore.

"Ho! Who would have thought Chi-Chi would turn into an education-minded mother? However, I agree with her. One should also train the mind as well as body."

The group continued to talk more about Goku and his son. They were interested in whether Goku noticed changes during the full moon. However, Goku assured them nothing happened because they always go to bed early, per Chi-Chi's instructions. The group felt relieved that there was no rampaging monster on the loose. Bulma quickly changed the subject once the Earth's strongest started asking questions about it. They reminisced about past adventures and the hunts for the dragon balls. Bulma felt nostalgic as she stared at the four-star ball attached to Gohan's red hat.

Their laughter came to a halt once Son Goku changed his demeanor. Cold sweat slid down his cheeks as a dreadful feeling arose from within. The wild-haired man swallowed with difficulty as he looked around.

The first to notice something was wrong was Krillin. "What is it, Goku? What's the matter?" He didn't know why, but he didn't like the frantic look in his friend's eyes.

Never in his life had he felt anything like it. "An incredible power is coming here! I can barely believe what I'm feeling!" Goku's tightly closed fists shook as the sweat dripped from his chin.

While others were unaware, Son Goku quickly gazed at the sky. "There! Everyone, stand behind me and be on guard!" The spiky-haired martial artist shouted just a few seconds before the mysterious person landed only a few steps away.

Nothing but the sound of the waves crashing against the shore made a noise. After a solid minute, the long-haired finally opened his mouth. "We finally meet after such a long time, Kakarot. Your resemblance to our father is remarkable!" He couldn't help himself and felt strange in his chest as he stared at his younger brother.

The words coming from the tall and strong-looking stranger only confused Son Goku. "O-Our father? What do you mean by that!? Just who are you!?" He didn't understand why, but something about this person before his eyes agitated him.

"Goku, I think this guy's lost it."

Raditz frowned upon hearing the name. "Goku? What's going on here, Kakarot!? Weren't you supposed to exterminate all native species on this planet!? What have you been doing all this time!?" The warrior crossed his muscular arms and glared at his visibly confused brother.

"I have no idea what you're talking about! My name is Son Goku! I have no idea who this Kakarot's person is!"

A throbbing vein appeared on Raditz's temple. He could deduce that his younger brother truly didn't have a clue. "Tch! This was the last thing I needed! Tell me, Kakarot, did you suffer a blow to the head? Speak!" His tremendous voice startled everyone, including Goku.

The young martial artist slowly raised his left hand and placed it over the head. "It's true, I have a small scar. Maybe I hit my head once but was too young to remember." Even now, he could feel the scar under all the thick hair.

Raditz could barely control himself. The Saiyan was about to snap when the old Turtle Hermit began to talk. "Goku! Your grandfather once told me about a strong but ferocious child with a tail that he had found in the woods. He took the little boy and tried to take care of it, but the child was aggressive and didn't care for Gohan's kindness." Everyone's gazes aimed at Roshi, who continued.

"That is until the child fell by accident into a ravine, hitting his head. The boy nearly died but miraculously pulled through. When the child awoke, his violent temper subsided, and he grew into a kind-hearted boy. Goku, that child was you."

Son Goku, just like Raditz and the rest, could hardly believe it. However, the Saiyan's tail uncoiled from the waist out of sheer fury. "Damn you, Kakarot! Mark my words; if you have any repressed memories in there, I'll find a way to resurface them!" His brown tail swayed behind the back as he glared at his brother.

"L-Look, Goku! He has the same tail as you once had!"

The more time passed, the weirder it got. Goku stared at the tail and felt he shared a connection with this man. "Alright, now you got my attention! Just who are you!? And what do you want from me!?" He wasn't sure why, but a part of him vigorously sought to battle this stranger.

Raditz took a deep breath as he shut his eyes. He calmed himself, and upon opening his eyes, he slowly closed the distance between Son Goku and himself. "You're no earthling, Kakarot. You're a Saiyan warrior, a member of the most powerful race in the universe." His words froze Goku as he approached him. "And my name is Raditz, your older brother." He stared down at his brother, whose eyes widened once he heard that.

"G-Goku's brother!?

"T-That mean's Goku's an alien!"

Son Goku stood frozen on the spot while he stared at the taller male. He wanted to shout and deny it, but for whatever reason, he could tell it was the truth. His heart pounded against his chest like crazy, and it almost felt as if it was going to burst out. Goku snapped out of his shock once Krillin's loud voice reached his ears.

"Goku! Snapp out of it, buddy! Don't tell me you're believing this creep!?"

Raditz chuckled as he shifted his attention to the bald earthling. He wanted nothing more than to smack the annoying pest but opted not to. "Kakarot! The moment you gazed upon my tail, you felt the connection, correct? Not only do our tails connect us, but they're also a source of Saiyans' true might during the full moon!" Raditz spoke with pride as he looked at his younger brother.

However, at that moment, the long-haired warrior noticed something was missing. He grabbed Goku by the arms and looked behind him. "It can't be! Your tail! Kakarot! Where's your tail!?" Raditz squeezed the younger male as he showed worry for the first time.

Son Goku was startled and stunned to see such an expression on the man's face. "It was cut off a long time ago; why?" He could see the pain in Raditz's eyes when he said that.

Raditz stopped shaking his sibling and looked down in disbelief and anger. "You poor fool. No wonder you were able to fit in with them... You lost a significant part of you, brother." He raised his head and moved away from Son Goku.

The Saiyan stared at the ocean with a hand covering his mouth. His mind was racing, thinking what the others would think of this. However, he didn't care. What was the most important was to bring Kakarot back to the fold. He would do whatever it took to awaken the dormant beast from within his younger brother.

"Kakarot, despite losing your tail, I'm confident the others will accept you. You see, our mighty race suffered a devastating tragedy decades ago. Because of it, only four Saiyans remain, including you. The three of us need you; that's why we came to this planet, in search of you."

Once again, Raditz approached his brother and gently touched Goku's shoulder. "Come with me, brother! A universe is a vast place with strong adversaries! I know you want to test your strength against powerful foes! I can see the fire in your eyes!" He spoke in a calm tone while he gazed at the little boy.

"You can even bring your son. The boy might be half Saiyan, but he will become a strong warrior with us! What do you say, brother?"

Son Goku blinked in confusion. He found himself surprised for actually thinking about the offer. A strong part wanted to take his supposed brother's hand and travel from one planet to another, fighting strong opponents and testing his strength. He could imagine the thrill and the hardship of pushing himself over the limits.

However, he knew he couldn't abandon Earth and trust Raditz. "Sorry, but I'll have to decline the offer! I can't abandon my family and friends. Besides, Chi-Chi would kill me if I took Gohan to another planet." Just imagining what his wife might do to him sent shivers down his spine.

Son Goku's answer didn't sit well with Raditz. "Wrong answer, little brother. Remember, you left me no choice." In the blink of an eye, he materialized before his brother and slammed a knee into the younger man's midriff.

Everyone watched as Goku fell into the ocean and cried out in pain. "Goku!" His friends rushed to his aid, leaving the poor boy unattended momentarily.

Raditz walked past them and grabbed the boy by the shift. While the four-year-old whimpered, Raditz spoke to his brother. "Listen well, Kakarot! I'll give you a full day to reconsider! When you decide to join us, and you will decide to, head to the east! We will be waiting for you!" He tucked Gohan safely around his arm as he walked away from his wounded brother.

"D-Don't! L-Leave Gohan out of it!"

The long-haired warrior halted and gazed at Son Goku for one last time. "If you don't show up, we will take the child instead of you. Don't disappoint me again, brother!" Those were Raditz's last words to his younger brother before he flew high in the sky, ignoring Goku's helpless scream.
