Author's Note: This drabble takes place before the 2015 story that revealed Wanda was just the next in line of Scarlet Witches/Warlocks.
Title: Scarlet
"Okay, everything's in order. I just need you to sign all of these documents as both Wanda Maximoff and the Scarlet Witch."
Jennifer "She-Hulk" Walters slid several pages toward Wanda.
As Wanda signed, Jen asked, "I've always wondered, why the Scarlet Witch? Is it your favorite color or something?"
Scarlet. Like the mutant blood that ran in her veins. Scarlet. Like the energies she used to manipulate probability. Scarlet. Like the letter Hester Prynne was forced to wear as a sign of her sin.
"I don't remember. But it does seem fitting," Wanda said. "And thanks for the legal advice."
