As the smoke cleared, Stolas brushed off his shoulders as he said "Oh mortal who has summoned I, Stolas of the House of Goetic, state the purpose of this-"
Suddenly, the Owl Demon felt a small mass colliding into him, only causing him to stumble back a bit, glancing down he saw a human girl tightly hugging his chest as tears stained his shirt.
"Stolas!" the human happily cried out and whether through recognizing her voice (despite its age) or just the situation feeling familiar, the gears turned in his head and a flash of recognition crossed Stolas's face.
"Luz?" the Owl Demon asked, barely believing what he was seeing, "By the nine rings, it is you!" Stolas lifted the girl into his arms "It's been too long my dear." he stated, the Demon's voice trembling slightly, "You've grown so... Well I guess you're a bit bigger," he gave a small shrug "you humans are all so small."
"I missed you too." Luz chuckled out with a smile.
After giving her one final hug, Stolas set the human back down "Oh, so much has happened since we've last met," he stated, remembering how much his life had changed over the past (hell) year, "I didn't even know where to start."
"Same!" as she said this a flash of an idea crossed Luz's face "Oh, I've got to introduce you to everyone." the human declared as she led Stolas by the hand out of the room.
Meanwhile in the living room, several of Luz's Boiling Isles friends and family were gathered as Camila toiled away in the kitchen to feed her guests. At the ringing of the oven's alarm, the human mother pulled a fresh pan of cookies out and carefully moved them to a plate before beginning to carry it over to the dining table.
"Yes finally!" King cried out as he hopped off the couch and scampered over to Camila "Gimme." he commanded, gently tugging at her pant leg.
Camila let out a small chuckle "Not yet mijo, they still have to cool a bit." she politely scolded the young Titan.
With a huff and a pout, the mighty Titan retreated back to the couch "I have to give it to you Cammy," Eda noted, with a hint of a laugh in her voice, as she raised her mug of Apple Blood up with pride "for a human, you adapt to the Boiling Isles' norms quick."
"I admit the Demon Realm, at first," Camila paused as she searched for the right word "shocked me. But now I'm starting to see what Luz sees in it."
At the mention of her student's name, the Owl Lady took an idle glance at the stairs "Wonder what Luz is doing in her room?" Eda pondered out loud, recalling how the human had gone upstairs a few minutes ago to quote 'do something important', before glancing at Camila with a playful smile dancing across her face "Probably something that'll freak you out."
The elder Noceda rolled her eyes in response "I raised her," Camila confidently stated "there's nothing at this point Luz could surprise me with."
Eda took a sip of her Apple Blood before declaring "Bet you fifty Human Snails she could."
"It's dollars." Camila politely corrected before asking with a raised eyebrow "Do you even have any human money?"
"Don't worry about that," Eda waved off Camila's quite understandable concerns "so bet?"
"Sure." and rather conveniently as Camila said that, Luz entered the room with Stolas in tow.
"Hey everyone!" Luz called out with a wave "Meet my honorary Demon Uncle Stolas!"
The Boiling Isle natives reacted rather plainly, the Owl Demon of Hell not being too different from their own Demons; however, Camila's reaction was much different, as it was punctuated by the sound of plate crashing into the floor and shattering into a thousand pieces.
"NOOOOO!" King cried out in horror while Camila stared up in frozen shock at the eight-foot-tall Demon towering over her "MY COOKIES!"
As the young Titan cried over his lost pastries, the rest of the group sat in awkward silence for a few moments before Stolas broke it with a cough "What's that about." Luz obliviously asked.
"Your mom owes me fifty Snails now." Eda bluntly answered, a pleased grin growing on her face.
"Oh okay." Luz plainly noted before trying to rerail her train of thought and get the conversation back on track "Where we're we?"
"I believe we were at introductions." Stolas gave the group an elegant bow as he introduced himself "Salutations, I am Prince Stolas of the Goetic Family of Hell."
The Boiling Isles natives mostly stared blankly in confusion before Amity spoke up "Hell is the place in the Human Realm where bad people go when they die." she explained.
As the group nodded in understanding, Luz continued the introductions; walking over to Eda and King's couch.
"Alright, first up is the strongest Witch in all of the Boiling Isles;" the human pointed her hands towards the eldest Witch with a flourish "Eda Clawthorne!"
"You better not be stepping in my territory bud." Eda declared with mock malice "Owls are my thing."
Stolas raised an eyebrow in confusion as Luz held back a giggle and continued on.
"This adorable little guy is King Clawthorne." she said, giving said 'little guy' a quick hug.
"There is Demon Royalty?" King gawked in amazement before laughing out "Ha! In your face Lilith!"
Speeding things up, Luz quickly introduced the rest "My first Witch friend and second strongest of the Boiling Isles; Willow Park."
"Nice to meet yah." Willow greeted with a slight wave and a smile.
"Likewise." Stolas responded with a smile in kind.
"The Boiling Isles' resident human expert; Augustus Porter."
"I never knew there were Demons in the Human Realm." the young Witch admired Stolas in awe as he asked, "Can I interview you sometime?"
The Owl Demon stroked his chin in thought and answered "I'll have to check my schedule later, but I don't see why not."
"The amazingly awesome Abomination Witch and my girlfriend; Amity Blight."
"It's an honor your majesty." Amity said as she gave a slight bow to Stolas who responded in kind.
"Oh no, the honor is all mine."
"My new adopted siblings; Hunter and Vee." as Luz said that the pair both gave a simple wave to Stolas, who waved back in kind.
Finally, Luz reached her mother, who still hadn't moved an inch since Stolas had entered the room, and finished off the introductions by saying "And this is my Mami, Camila Noceda."
"Oh it's lovely to finally meet you ma'am." Stolas said he knelt down and reached a hand towards the now trembling human.
"It- it's nice to meet you as well." She finally managed to stammer out as she nervously shook the Owl Demon's hand "Luz talked about you so much when she was younger, I never realized you were..." Camila's breath quickened a bit as she stammered out the last word "r- real."
"Yes, I do apologize for that." Stolas said with much regret seeping into his voice "Luz always did want to introduce us, but I was worried how you would react."
"That's fair." Camila squeaked out.
Deciding it would be best to let Camila calm down before any further conversation was had, Stolas turned back towards Luz and said "Now then, I believe we have some catching up to do."
"Hold on, I just have one question first." the human stated, her expression having dropped a bit.
Stolas's head tilted slightly "Oh, what is it?" he asked.
Luz gripped her shoulder as she struggled to find the words "A few months ago I tried to summon you, but you didn't answer." she paused for a moment before finally slowly croaking out her question "Why?"
"Oh you must have been calling while it was in the possession of my darling little Blitzy." Stolas explained with a giggle, but it quickly trailed off as he pondered "But he would have called me if my grimoire was acting strange." he muttered out, less as a statement and more as a question, "Right...?"
Meanwhile, in the I.M.P offices in Hell, Blitzø was sitting in his office, partaking in his hobby of looking at pictures of horses and horse accessories that he'll never be able to afford, when suddenly a sharp chill shot up the Imp's spine causing him to jump in his chair and loudly yelp.
"Is something wrong sir?" Moxxie asked, cracking the office door a bit to peek in.
"I- I don't know." Blitzø unsurely stammered out "I just got this feeling that someone is going to insanely mad at me, like crazed fan who got a shortened final season of their beloved show mad."
Moxxie simply blinked twice before he said "...Alllright then sir." And closed the door to awkwardly walk off.
"Wait Blitzy?" Luz interrupted the Owl Demon's thoughts "Who's that?" she asked as a small grin began to form on her face.
"Oh he just this most adorable little Imp I-" the Owl Demon suddenly paused and tried to think how best to describe his and Blitzø's relationship (both for the sake of children's innocence and not really knowing what to consider it himself) "-have relations with." he finally settled on.
"Uh huh, Relations right…" Luz held her smile as she gave a sly nod and after a moment added on "So, how long have you guys been dating?"
In an instant, a splash of red covered the prince's cheeks as he stammered out "D- dating!? I- I have no idea where you got that idea! I said no such thing!"
As the pair continued chattering on (which mostly amounted to Stolas refusing to give a determined Luz more information about his and Blitzø's relationship) the rest of the group slowly shifted back to what they were doing before.
"Soooooo," Eda dragged out the 'o' as she glanced over at Camila "about those fifty snails?"
The human mother merely stared off into space "I'm going to go lie down now." Camila muttered out after a moment, slowly walking off as her expression remained unchanging. Eda's eyes followed the human under she vanished upstairs, their owner giving out a defeated sigh.
"I'm never getting them am I?"
