A/N: Hello all, we're finally at the midseason finally of the first part of Kamen Rider Witch. So you guys aren't left on a huge cliffhanger, I'm giving you a quadruple update. Today through Sunday. It's going to be epic!

Now to the reviews!

Dr. KRC PhD: Yeah, a little EqG: Rainbow Rocks callback.

WaterDragonMaverick: Fixed, at first I did use the gender neutral pronouns in the CAPO chap, but since that was from Scooter Crane's perspective he knew about Raine being nonbinary, but Luz did not know so that's why I left it at "he" instead of "they", but I changed it anyway.

I wagered on using a Wizard insert song or not, but aside from "Life is SHOWTIME" the other songs didn't fit the situation, but "Be the One" did, and I'm glad my song choice was correct.

And of course, I had to do some kind of pay off for the Skara x Willow ship, in way it kind of pushes Amity to stop hiding since Skara was kind of going through the same thing.

Demon dark mezzo sangue: That kiss will start making her step up, one could say it might give her the push she needs to kiss a certain Rider on the cheek. As to your other comment, I actually did use one of MoringMark's comics for the "Hot Mess" chapters where Willow was getting pranked on by Kitsune. It is possible that I will draw on or deliberately use some of those comics to help in the creation of future chapters.

Starwing1995: While a good idea, I've already set up what her rings will be, a couple of originals and the creation of the Coven Rings.

Special thanks to Dr. KRC PhD for the title of this arc. Alright people, don't forget, it's going to be a Witchy weekend! Now on with the show!

A week had passed since the incident at the Emperor's Castle. From what was being told, an investigation was still ongoing to make sure that there weren't any more Phantoms masquerading as officials in the Covens. The other eight Coven Heads were cleared, with Raine Whispers being rumored to take over as the Head of the Bard Coven in place of Scooter Crane.

Now it was Sunday night, and King, Eda, and even Hooty, were gathered in the living room. Luz was hard at work as she cleared the room, pushing the furniture and other knickknacks so that the center was completely clear of any obstructions. The two demons and witch continued watching as Luz took out a piece of chalk and started to draw a huge circle in the middle of the room, writing intricate sigil markings within its perimeter.

"Okay, is anyone going to ask?" King asked.

"Guess I should, I'm technically the only adult in the room." Eda walked closer until she was at the edge of the circle.

That's when Luz raised her left hand and said, "Don't step on my circle please, thank you." Luz's voice was hollow, devoid of emotion.

The young teen had explained to Eda what happened to her when she was in her trance state, but this was odd. "Luz, what are you doing?"

"I need a new ring, two of them, stronger than the last ones, my magic is growing stronger, so I need to make rings that can better utilize that power," Luz explained.

Eda's brow rose a bit and then she asked, "How strong are we talkin' kid?"

"Strong."

Eda took a few steps back, her worry growing with each passing minute.

"Should we really be letting her do this? Compared to the last magic circles she's drawn before, this one's way bigger," said King.

"Should I get the thing?" Hooty asked.

"Yeah, do it," said Eda.

"On it!"

Hooty extended himself into the kitchen and began rummaging through it. The house demon returned to the living room, balancing a large chocolate cake on himself and brought it to Eda. The Owl Lady took the cake and just waited for Luz to snap out of her trance.

Luz drew the last sigil mark and finally snapped out of the trance. The young Latina stood up and looked at what she had drawn, whistling at her impressive work, and a little shocked by the size of the circle as this was the biggest one she's drawn yet. If the rules of Boiling Isles magic applied here, then the bigger the circle was, the more powerful the spell. So, did that mean that these rings are were going to be stronger than the ones she already used before?

"Guess it's done," said Luz a little nervous.

"Here, kid, charge up."

Eda offered Luz a slice of the chocolate cake, the human girl eagerly downed the confection, and another slice for good measure. She ate one more just to be safe.

"I don't know what's going to happen with this circle, but just be careful, Luz," said King as he tugged at her leggings.

"Todo irá bien (It'll be okay), King. No worries."

Luz walked back into her circle and took out the two magic stones from the pouch. She then placed the two stones into the center and stepped outside of it, once she had done this, Luz got on her knees and pressed her palms against the circle. The effect was immediate, a bright, yellow, blinding light shined forth from the circle, forcing everyone to close their eyes. However, Luz dared to open hers, the light somehow not hurting her eyes to look at it directly. The light took on the form of a large owl, the construct then wrapped its wings around the two stones as its entire being was suddenly sucked into the two magic stones. Another flash of light went off, accompanied by a small shockwave that knocked Eda and King off their feet, Hooty managed to save the cake before it could go "splat" against the floor.

When it was over, Luz collapsed onto the floor, having gone unconscious from the sudden and drastic decrease in her mana reserves. Luz's head swam for a bit before she started to hear the muffled sounds of Eda and King calling out to her, the young witch-in-training slowly opened her eyes. She suddenly found herself sucking on a straw, Luz looked down and saw that she was drinking from an Apple Blood box, the non-adult version. The sugary drink was helping to bring Luz around as she managed to sit up, with Eda keeping a hand at her back to catch her in case she fainted again.

"W-What happened…?"

"You knocked out, Luz! And not the normal kind where you said you get sleepy! You just blacked out!" King explained.

Luz slowly put her hand to her head as she remembered what happened. "I saw a big owl wrap around the stones, and then there was a flash, and after that I felt like almost all my mana was drained from me."

"Eat up, Luz, time to fill up that magic gauge," said Hooty as he presented the cake to Luz.

Luz weakly grabbed a slice and began eating it, she felt hungry for something sweet, her body craved it. It was only a testament to how much of her magic was used in the creation of these new rings, for if they took that much of her mana to make then they must be powerful rings. "King, could you get the rings for me? I want to see what they look like."

The little demon walked to the center of the circle and grabbed both magical items. He walked back to Luz, Eda, and Hooty and opened his claws to show them to his family. The first ring looked like an upgraded version of her Light Style ring, the second ring had the image of an owl with its wings outstretched and above it was a starburst. Luz gasped as her eyes fell upon the upgraded version of her Light Style ring, a feeling of great elation rising within her.

"What is it?" Eda asked.

"I think I just got my Super Form!" Luz exclaimed.

"Super what now?" King asked.

"Every Kamen Rider goes through multiple power shifts before eventually obtaining their most powerful form. First is the Base Form, which is my Light through Fire Styles, then a Super Form, and lastly a Final Form, when a Kamen Rider realizes their true power and potential. This just means I'm one step closer to getting my Final Form!"

"Okay, so you're getting stronger I guess that's a good thing," said Eda.

"It is, this means I can…can…whoa…rooms getting spinny now…"

Luz went out again, scaring her surrogate family. Eda checked to make sure she was still breathing, and thankfully she was.

"Guess if these rings are as powerful as Luz says, then it's no wonder why she's drained right now." Eda gently laid Luz on the floor before drawing a spell circle. Luz's body was enveloped in a golden aura, and then her body began to rise into the air. "I'll put her to bed, Hooty, King, you two head to bed, too."

King, reluctantly, nodded as he went to his room, Hooty retracted himself back to his spot in the door, he put on a nightcap and then went to sleep.

Inside, Eda walked up the stairs and carefully levitated her protégé into her room. Eda gently placed Luz onto her sleeping bag and put a blanket over her. The Owl Lady placed Luz's two new rings on a box where she kept her cellphone, and then exited the room, heading to her own. Once the door was closed Eda walked over to her vanity mirror and took off the scarf that was wrapped around her neck. When she did, Eda saw that the gemstone that was affixed to her chest was starting to become blackened, which was an indication of how close the curse was slowly overtaking her.

"Great…Luz needs me now more than ever…and this stupid curse is getting worse…" Eda complained. "I can't give up…I have to stay strong for."

Eda crawled into her nest and drew the blankets over herself as she drifted off to sleep. The Owl Lady was completely unaware that there was a small crack that leaked ethereal purple light on her body.

It was Monday morning on the Boiling Isles, the early morning mist hung low to the ground and made the grass and brush wet with morning dew. Hooty was still asleep, with his nightcap still perched cutely atop his head. In the tree line up ahead, there was movement, a lot of movement. Hidden in the tree line were several Coven Scouts, taking various positions and readying themselves for a raid on the Owl House. At the head of this raiding party was Lilith Clawthorne, the leader of the Emperor's Coven. Despite the current threat of the Phantoms, Emperor Belos had ordered her to finally bring in her sister.

Honestly, as much as Lilith wanted to have her sister's curse removed, she knew that the Phantom's posed the greatest threat to the Boiling Isles. But this was the deal, in order for Eda's curse to be lifted Lilith had to bring the Owl Lady into the Emperor's Coven, Wild Witches were not tolerated on the Boiling Isles. So, here she was, about to raid her sister's home and drag Eda kicking and screaming back to the castle, for the umpteenth time in a week. Lilith peeked through the bushes for one final check of the Owl House, noticing that Hooty was still asleep.

"Good, that infernal house demon is asleep," said Lilith as she gave the signal for the Scouts to move in.

The Coven Scout rose from their positions and brandished their various weapons of capture.

Little sister, you will join the Coven, you can hate me all you want, but at least you'll be curse free to do it, thought Lilith.

Just then, Hooty slowly began to extend himself from the front door while saying, "Sleepwalking…Sleepwalking…Sleep hooting!" The house demon was completely awake and dove straight into the ground.

Hooty burst out from the ground behind Lilith, startling the witch.

"Hi Lilith, peek-a-hoot!"

The house demon reeled back and headbutted Lilith, sending her flying against a tree. The Coven Scouts charged for Hooty, but the house demon was not fazed in the slightest.

"Sorry, Eda doesn't like trespassers! But I'm always eager to make new friends!" Hooty stated as he dove into the fray.

The house demon began wrapping around a few of the Scouts like a python before whipping them forward into their colleagues. A couple of them tried to slash at Hooty, but he avoided them with a wiggle dance that made it hard for them to even land a blow. Hooty spun his body around like a whip and sent the two attackers flying, before slipping into the hood of another Scout and turning their body into a puppet. The Scout accidentally punched one of his allies in the face, knocking them out, to which Hooty threw the other guy away.

Lilith arose from her unconscious state and watched as Hooty utterly decimated her Scouts. The talented witch reached out and grabbed her staff, with a single thrust she fired a blast of azure magical energy straight for Hooty.

"I did it – Oh hey, look, it's a bug!" Hooty exclaimed as he ducked to look at the suspected bug.

Lilith's attack struck a tree on the opposite side of Hooty, and as result, blew the trunk to pieces and caused it to fall straight towards her. With a gasp, Lilith ducked out of the way at the last second, narrowly escaping getting crushed. Lilith panted for a few moments before collapsing onto the ground.

"Aw, just an old leaf. Well, that's good, too!" Hooty proceeded to eat said leaf.

After that, Hooty resumed his beating of the Coven Scouts, all while Eda watched safely through the window of the house. The foxy witch grinned with satisfaction at Hooty's handy work. "Hooty. Aw, you're a thorn in my side."

The Owl Lady took a sip from her cup of tea just as a Coven Scout smacked against the window, and then was dragged back to the melee by Hooty.

"Steve, you're back to play again," Hooty exclaimed.

"Oh Titan, help me!"

"But you always find a way to dig into my heart."

Eda sighed heavily, ever since the Bard Recital incident, the Emperor's Coven has been sending Scouts to attack the Owl House on an almost regular bases for the past week now, with no end in sight. She didn't know why the sudden renewal for capture, Lilith had told Eda that Emperor Belos saw the Phantoms as a threat to the island and was demanding of their attention. Using their resources on capturing her, even if it was a small contingent, seemed like a waste of their time when they could be locating or figuring out a way to stop the Phantoms. If they managed to do that, then Luz wouldn't have to put herself in constant danger by fighting them.

Speaking of Luz, the young Latina came into the living room and peered at the pot that was on the coffee table. A spoon was enchanted to stir it, which made Luz curious as to what was inside of it. Luz looked inside the pot and saw purple noodle-like strands within it. "Ooh, magic s'ghetti!" said Luz as she reached for it.

Eda saw what Luz was about to do and directed the spoon to swap at Luz's hand, causing the teen to retract it. "Hey, that s'ghetti' is Witch's Wool. It repels powerful spells, every witch worth their salt has a cloak made from this stuff."

Luz stared in awe of the strands, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'm worth salt! I want cloak!" Luz reached for the pot, but Eda took it away.

"Easy kid, with the Emperor's goons at my doorstep every day, I need this for protection," Eda explained. "They have really stepped up their attacks lately."

"I think I finally know why the Emperor wants you so badly…He's got the hots for you, doesn't he, " said Luz in a joking manner.

Eda's response was a couple of finger guns, a click of the tongue, and a wink. "Good one, but no. Emperor Belos wants to control all wild magic through his 'Coven System'. He ordered my capture years ago because I refused to fall in line."

"And he won't stop until he's got you…"

Eda noticed the worried look on her protégé's face, with a confident smile she strode up to Luz and said, "Don't get so worried, I'm a master escape artist! The only thing that can slow me down is my curse and that hasn't bothered me in weeks!" As soon as Eda declared this, her body broke out into gray feathers. "Ooooh…poop."

Luz watched as Eda suddenly transformed into the Owl Beast before her eyes. "KING. KING!" The little demon groggily walked into the room, only to sober up quickly when he noticed Eda in her Owl Beast form. "GET THE ELXIR, NOW!"

Eda was now the Owl Beast, growling as she looked upon Luz with a predatory gaze. Before, when Luz and King found out about the curse, they were ill equipped to wrangle in Eda when she was in this form. However, things have changed since then. Luz reached into her pocket and took out one of her spell rings, after slipping it on she placed it over the Hand Author buckle.

[Bind, Please.]

Magic circles appeared above and below Eda, and from them snaked out light construct chains that wrapped around her body and her limbs, effectively immobilizing the cursed witch. Eda struggled against her bonds, but Luz managed to keep her still, however, the creation of her new rings had severely drained her mana, and right now even using this spell was becoming a challenge.

"We're burning a lot of mana just holding her, where is that little chucho (mutt)?!"

As if on cue, King entered with the elixir.

"I got her, King! Pour it!" Luz ordered.

"Got it!" King replied.

The little demon popped the cork, and when Eda opened her both to screech at him, King plugged her mouth with the bottle. The elixir was emptied within a matter of seconds, King and Luz waited for the elixirs effects to kick in, but for some reason Eda hadn't changed back yet.

"What's going on?! Why isn't she changing back?!" Luz asked.

"I don't know, it was the right one!"

"Did it expire?!"

"We just got those a couple of days ago!" King replied.

"Go get more, hurry!"

King ran back to get another elixir bottle, this time returning with two. Although Eda was still struggling, she wasn't snapping as much, which allowed the King of Demons to forcibly pour another bottle of elixir down Eda's throat. They waited for a few seconds, but nothing happened, King popped the cork of the third bottle and made Eda down it again. Nothing happened, but Eda had calmed down, and even became docile. Luz released her spell and waited, Eda didn't do anything except look at them, as if waiting for them to tell her what to do.

"I don't get it; we made her drink three of those things! Since when does it take more than three elixirs?!" King asked.

"I don't think just three is going to cut it." Luz slowly approached the Owl Beast and gently placed her hand on top of her head. "Hey, Eda, let's go upstairs, alright."

The Owl Beast nodded as if understanding her. Luz slowly led the Owl Beast up the stairs with King following close behind. Once the three of them were there, Luz asked King to bring out more of the elixirs. Luz fed Eda one elixir after the other and prayed that they were working. The effects were slow but were showing, with each downed bottle, the Owl Beast shrunk in size, its bestial features returning to that of a humanoid.

Luz fed Eda the last bottle, her body had changed back to a humanoid state, but her eyes were still black as night. Eda reached out slowly and placed her hand on Luz's face, Luz didn't know why she was doing this. Perhaps it was the Owl Beast trying to attack Luz but was fading too quickly for it to move or attempt anything lethal, whatever the reason, it didn't matter, as Eda's eyes returned to normal, with the Owl Lady staring at her protégé with confusion.

"Whew…thanks for this," said Eda as she stood up, and noticed the clanking sound of multiple elixir bottles at her feet. "And…those."

Luz noticed something off, her eyes fell upon Eda's gemstone and noticed that not all the color had returned to it. "Hey, you're gem, it's still dark!"

Eda glanced down, noticing her scarf was gone, and quickly put her hands over it. "Uh, no it's not! You're nuts!"

Luz furrowed her brow as she said, "The curse has been getting worse and you've been hiding it!"

Eda knew that she couldn't lie anymore, she had been found out and it was time to come clean. "Ugh…you're right…It's taking more elixir to turn me back, and even more magic to keep the curse from rearing its feathery head."

Luz started to worry. "W-What happens if you use your magic up?…Do…Do you die?!"

The Owl Lady looked at Luz with disbelief as she placed her hands on her hips. "No! Geez, you're morbid. I just kinda, sorta, turn into the Owl Beast…forever…Aw, it's a fate much worse than death if you ask me!"

"No…No I won't let that happen! I'll do something about it!" That's when Luz facepalmed herself. "¡Soy tan estúpido (I am so stupid)! I can't believe I didn't think about this before!"

"Think about what?" King asked.

"My Flash ring!" Luz reached into her pocket and took out the ring in question. "It not only releases a flash of light, but the light itself can repel curses!"

The little demon looked excited for a moment, but then remembered, "Wait, but didn't you use that against that cursed song at the recital thing? It didn't work."

"Okay, yes, but that was a different kind of curse that was made by a Phantom, he was probably stronger than Dracula anyway. Since this curse isn't Phantom related, I know it can work!" Luz stated.

Eda reached out with her right hand and stopped Luz from activating the ring. "Uh-uh, no more magic use from you."

"What?! B-But I can heal you!"

"Kid, I can tell you're beat from last night, and I'm sure you just used your magic to keep me from tearing up the house when I transformed, right?" Eda asked.

Luz gave a reluctant nod.

"Then no magic. If you want to try, then do it after you've replenished your mana. If a Phantom attacks, you won't be any good to anyone out there."

The fourteen-year-old knew Eda had a point, La Lechuza warned that they're magic was really low now. Eating her sugary treats was helping in replenishing it, but it would still take a while before their mana was at one hundred percent again. "Okay…"

Eda smiled at her apprentice and patted her on the shoulder. "Hey, don't worry, I just have to manage my magic use a little." Eda took her right and left index fingers and pushed the sides of Luz's lips up into a forced smile. "There we go." That smile quickly morphed into a trembling lip of worry, leaving Eda no other choice. "Okay, do the parallel arm thing."

Without a moment's hesitation, Luz wrapped her arms around Eda's middle and hugged her tight.

"King demands huggies, too!"

The little demon ran up to Eda and hugged her left leg.

Eda struggled now having two people clinking to her, and apparently neither of them were letting her go. "Okay! It's! Time! For! School!"

"Tch, this 'Coven System' is supremely inefficient, any moron with half a brain can see that he's consolidating magic for his purposes. The only ones allowed to use magic of all diverse types are those who are exclusively in his own Coven. Hey, are you listening?"

"Sorry, La Lechuza, I'm just thinking about Eda. Enemies everywhere, even in her own body! I just wish I could do something to help her," said Luz.

"It is possible that the Flash ring could rid her of the curse, but do not get your hopes up on that, Niña. We know nothing about the curse she is afflicted with, and therefore know not the extent to of its power over her." La Lechuza could sense Luz's worry and added, "However, one session with the ring might not be enough. Like the elixirs, it may take several attempts before she's rid of it. But she has a point, we cannot do anything to help her in our weakened state. Once our mana is replenished then we can try."

"I get it, and unfortunately, there's something else still bothering me."

"Hmm, I know what you speak of."

Luz had not mentioned this to Eda or anyone, the cryptic warning that Pan gave her before she destroyed him. The warning about Emperor Belos. She already didn't like him because of his pursuit of Eda, and like La Lechuza had said, the Coven System was really limiting. She realized that upon entering Hexside when Principal Bump said she had to choose a track, and that she could only receive lessons from that one track and that the mixing of magic was not permitted. Thankfully she and her detention friends managed to change his mind about that, allowing herself and her friends to study multiple tracks. Luz did worry a little about what would happen when they graduated, the seals that she saw at the Covention kept a witch from using any other type of magic once you joined a Coven.

There was no way to use two seals, they would conflict with each other. Which meant Viney, Jerbo, and Barkus would eventually have to be forced into choosing one of the two different tracks they were learning. She could not see Viney giving up Healing or Beast Keeping, nor Jerbo's Plant and Abominations, or Barkus and his Oracle and Potions. They each managed to mix the powers of the two different tracks and make them work in creative ways.

Just then, Luz heard a noise from behind the bushes. Luz parted the bushes and saw a bunch of beaten-up Coven Scouts, arranged in a circle, with one of them struggling to get away. Each of them had a teacup in front of them, and Hooty was there holding a teapot and then poured the tea into the middle of the ground.

"Roughhousing was fun, but I like this part of our playdates even better~"

"Let…me…die…" the Coven Scout begged as he tried to flee.

"Oh no, Steve, teatime is fooooooorrreeeevvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrr~"

Luz took a few steps back, shivered, and proceeded walking away as if she didn't see a thing.

"That demon disturbs me."

Agreed.

Luz ran the rest of the way to school, taking out a candy bar to munch on the way there to help in gaining back more of her mana. It didn't take long before she arrived at Hexside, out front many of the students were gathered, along with Principal Bump. An air carriage had been rented for a field trip to the Emperor's Castle today, and from the looks of it, many of the students were excited for it.

Gus noticed his friend's arrival first and said, "Luz! You ready for…the fieldtrip of a lifetime? To the one, the only, Emperor's Castle!"

"Actually, Gus, Willow, I was thinking about sitting this one out. I really don't like the way they're treating Eda," Luz replied.

"But you're going to miss out on all the cool stuff," said Gus as he held a book to Luz's face.

"Like what?"

"Like ancient relics! I didn't get to see all of the castle because of, well, you know, so I really want to see what else is in there." Willow stepped forward and took the book from Gus, she thumbed through the pages before finding what she was looking for. "Look, it's the Plant Coven's Green Thumb Gauntlet! It can grow whatever you imagine!"

"Intriguing."

"Hmm."

"And the Oracle Sphere! It shows you which path will help you become your best self!" Gus added.

"Fascinating."

Luz could tell that La Lechuza was enjoying this info dumb, but Luz had made up her mind not to go. That is, until she saw the next relic. "'The Healing Hat: Made from the magic of the Savage Ages. It is said to cure the deadliest of diseases and heal any curse'?!"

"Yeah, see, you can't miss this," said Willow.

"All aboard, students!" Principal Bump announced.

Willow dropped the book in her rush to get to the air carriage, allowing Luz to pick it up as her mind started to come up with a plan.

"Oh no, no! Nonononononononononono – N! O! – NO!"

What?

"I can see what you're thinking, and you're not going to steal an ancient relic!"

Why not?! This thing could heal Eda's curse for sure! You already said it might take several tries before my magic does anything, so if we used this, we won't have to do that! She'll be healed instantly!

"I can't believe you're contemplating this, but I'm inside you, so I don't have to imagine!"

Luz looked upon the image of the Healing Hat, determination burning in her eyes. "You've done so much for me, Eda, now it's my turn."
