Luz and King followed Lilith to another part of the Conformatorium, it was large hall, with statues of angelic beings brandishing various weapons and standing sentry. The walls, ceiling, floor, and statues were all covered in some sinewy red substance, Luz didn't know what it was, but she honestly didn't want to know. The trio walked for a bit longer before arriving at the spot that Lilith knew of. It was a platform, one that she had informed Luz and King that was to be used for entrances by the Emperor.

"You can take this up to the stage where they're holding, Edalyn," said Lilith.

"Thank you, Lilith, but what will you do now?" Luz asked.

"I contemplated leaving, but, after all this, I know I have to stay. I have to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again, and I'll be able to do the most good from the inside."

Luz smiled from hearing Lilith's answer, whether or not she would follow through with it would remain to be seen, but Luz had faith. "I can't wait to see what you can do." Luz was about to step onto the platform.

"Hold on, something is not right."

What do you mean?

"After everything we've done, all the commotion that we made, and the only other way to get to the stage isn't guarded?"

That was odd, after their assault on the Conformatorium, Luz expected there to be way more security, especially at places that would take her directly to where she wanted to go. Unless of course…

"IT'S A TRAP!" Luz shouted.

Suddenly the sinewy strands wrapped around Lilith and hoisted her into the air, another strand wrapped itself around King and took him hostage as well. The muscle-like strands dragged them all the to the front, and then that's when the lamp fires ignited, lightning up the shadowy area, and revealing none other than Emperor Belos, quietly sitting there and waiting patiently for this moment.

Belos turned to his left and looked at his, soon to be former, Coven leader. "Ah, Lilith, you chose the wrong side. A real pity, I had such high hopes for you."

The same sinewy strands that held King and Lilith began to rise high into the ceiling and into the shadows where Luz lost sight of them. "NO!" Luz was about rush to them, but the same sinew strands rose from the floor and formed claws that grabbed at her ankles and held her in place.

"Ah, bup-bup, I'd actually like a word with you, human."

Luz glared at the evil man before her and she released the staff and let Owlbert float it high above her, allowing Luz to grab her rings. "There's nothing to talk about! Henshin!"

[Light, Please.]

[HI~KA~RI!]

The yellow flash of light that accompanied her transformation destroyed Witch's bonds, allowing her to stand to her full height. Witch pulled out her WizarSwordGun and fired one round towards Belos, that magically infused silver bullet flew and struck the chair that he was sitting on.

On the back of the chair, a few inches from Belos' head, there was a smoking hole where the bullet hit. The ruler of the Boiling Isles stood up and said, "Okay." He then melted into the ground and reappeared behind Witch. "I'll play."

Belos raised his left index finger and coated Witch in his scarlet aura, and with a flick of that finger, Belos tossed Witch like a ragdoll right for one of the statues. Witch struck the statue hard enough to jostle the giant ax it was holding free, quickly she dislodged herself from the crater she made and jumped out of the way, just in time to mess getting split in half by the oversized battle ax.

Witch fired several more rounds at where Belos was, but just like before, he became intangible and dodged all the homing silver bullets. When he got close, Witch switched to sword mode and began slashing at Belos, the Emperor summoned his staff and met each of her attacks, blocking them as if they were mere child's play. The red orb at the top of the staff began to glow, seeing this, Witch jumped back and went on the defensive.

[Defend, Please.]

A scarlet ray blast roared from the staff and struck Witch's shield like a runaway freight train. The blast shattered her shield and exploded, sending the hero flying into the air. A sinew strand lashed out from the floor and grabbed Witch by her ankle, then it slammed her into a pillar, and then into the ground before tossing her back up into the air. Belos appeared over her and swiped the air with his staff, releasing a scarlet crescent.

[Plant, Please.]

A flash of green went off as Witch crossed her arms in front of her in an "X" pattern and took the attack head on. The crescent struck and sent her straight down into the floor, creating a three-foot-deep crater. Belos landed a few feet away, but his respite wasn't long lived.

[Fissure, Please.]

Cracks formed in the floor as thorn covered vines burst forth from the fissures and began striking at Belos. The Emperor was not fazed as he swiped his right hand through the air, creating a dome of energy that expanded outwards and burned away the plants that dared try and touch him.

[Ice, Please.]

[Freeze, Please.]

A chill ran through air as a wave of ice came screeching towards Belos. The lord of the isles struck the butt of his staff against the ground and made the floor rise and form a stone wall that acted as a breaker for the ice wave and parted it so that the ice went around him.

[Fire, Please.]

[Flare, Please.]

From behind Belos, Witch came with a flaming torrent that struck the Emperor and exploded. Witch chuckled, but her humor died when an ice spike pierced her left side.

"That was fun for a minute, but hardly worth any effort."

"Hope you feel that way after this!"

[ VERY NICE, KICK STRIKE! FABULOUS! ]

The Witch that Belos had stabbed disappeared, and a moment later, a yellow comet came careening straight for Belos. The Emperor raised his right hand and met Witch's Rider Kick with the palm of his hand. The impact shook the chamber, as Witch's sparkling kick tried to land against Belos, however, the lord of the isles was barely flinching at all.

"Cute, but ultimately pointless."

Belos grabbed ahold of Witch's foot and tossed her once again. Witch impacted against another statue, this time smashing it to pieces when she hit. Witch and the rubble of the statue fell the ground, with the rubble covering Witch completely. For a moment, Belos waited to see what the false witch would do, but then a bright light shined from the rubble and the debris was flung off by Witch's sheer magical power.

The hero of hope panted from exhaustion, Luz and La Lechuza knew that Belos would be powerful, but he was final boss level powerful. "I hate to admit it, Niña, but for a mortal, he's more powerful than I expected…we may've bitten off more than we can chew."

Yeah, I figured that out about two attacks in…

"We might still be able to retreat, if you cast the Illusion ring, and flood this area with copies, we might be able to disorient him long enough to form a portal out of here."

Witch smiled under her helmet. Sorry, but I'm not backing down, not now.

"ARE YOU INSANE?! WE WILL DIE!"

We're still standing, and so long as we are, there's hope!

A bright light shined from the chain link, Witch detached the ring that was making itself known and her smile broadened. In the chaos of everything that had happened, Luz had forgotten about the two newest additions to her arsenal.

"The power radiating from this ring is stronger than our current form, I'm not even sure if we can maintain it."

¡Ten Esperanza (Have hope)!

Witch replaced her Light Style ring with the newest ring she had made, once that was done, she reset the Hand Author.

[Shabadoobi touch to henshin! Shabadoobi touch to henshin!]

[LIGHT OWL.]

[KAGA~YA~KUUUUU~!]

A giant owl made of yellow, sparkling light appeared around Witch before enveloping her in its wings, yellow light construct feathers cascaded all around as Witch underwent a transformation. The current armor was stripped away as Luz was left bare in the form of white light. The cloak that Eda had made for her was brought forth as the white light solidified, changing the suit from black to white. The chest plate was made of a flexible topaz crystal, with a silver metal band that went down the middle, and at the center of the chest, just below the collarbone, was the Light Glyph symbol.

Witch held out her arms as the cloak slipped on, another metal band appeared and fastened the cloak to her armor. The cloak had runic markings that ran along the hem of the cloak and followed all the way around the bottom edge and looped up to match the other side. Two floating pauldrons appeared on either side of Witch's shoulders, the back was colored black, but the front was a pure silver color, and at the center of the pauldrons was a yellow topaz gemstone. Silver greaves now protected Witch's shins, with the bottom of those greaves sporting a line of topaz crystal the same as her bracelets. Witch's helmet was different, it was a more rounded shape, but still had the same eye design as the Light Style. Two yellow wings acted as the crest for the helmet, which also helped to pin the hood of the cloak over Witch's helmet.

When the light finally faded, and the feathers disappeared, Witch had entered her Super Form, Kamen Rider Witch Light Owl Style. The power of this form was so much greater than any of her other forms, Luz could feel the magic flowing through her in greater proportions than ever before. Her confidence was growing, and it showed when she proclaimed, "Alright, Belos, now it's showtime!"

"Then come and face me, little false witch!"

Belos released another scarlet ray blast, but Luz merely dodged it as she sped towards him, leaving behind sparkles of yellow light in her wake. The lord of the isles released a little grunt when he saw Witch close the distance between them much faster than he had anticipated. Witch came at him with rising palm uppercut, but Belos barely dodged it as Witch's palm lightly grazed his mask. Belos became intangible again and retreated to better assess the situation, but Witch wasn't going to give him that chance as she used her new speed to once again close in on him.

Belos disappeared again, but this time remained intangible. However, Witch wasn't having any of that. Her newly attuned magical senses allowed her to feel the magic in the room, after a moment, the helmet picked up on his location.

[Connect, Please.]

Witch summoned the WizarSwordGun and opened its Hand Author as she slipped on the Copy ring.

[Copy, Please.]

In a flash of light, a second WizarSwordGun was created, and since this was just an object, there was no loss in magical power. Witch took the second weapon into her left hand and began firing both weapons at where her helmet's sensors were indicating Belos was. The silver bullets shined brighter than when they were fired by Witch in her Light Style, as they too were infused with the power Light Owl Style. The homing bullets weaved around several columns and statues before closing in on their target.

Belos was a bit surprised by this as he created a barrier to block the shots, which all of them exploded upon impact. The lord of the isles slammed the butt of his staff against the ground as he commanded the sinew strands to rise and attack Witch. The hero of hope tossed both of her weapons into the air as she slipped on a ring to her right hand.

[Illusion, Please.]

Witch waited until she grabbed both weapons out of the air, and once in hand, she created seven Illusion copies of herself, each one armed with a WizarSwordGun. Three of the copies had them in sword mode, while herself, and three more had theirs in gun mode. Together, she and the gun mode copies fired volleys of silver bullets at the strands, each one exploding upon impact and tearing them apart. For the ones that got too close, the Illusion copies would use their double blades to cut the sinew strands to shreds.

Belos channeled his magical energy into his right hand swiped upwards, commanding the floor to transform into large stone glaives that rose to impale Witch. However, the new magical senses of Witch allowed to feel the attack coming, so she jumped straight up into the air before the attack could hit her. The Illusion copes were destroyed, unfortunately, but it seemed Belos wasn't done yet. From his position on the ground, a giant worm monster appeared, the creature seemed as if it swallowed where Belos stood, as if it just formed from the floor itself. Witch wasn't fazed as she took out the Bard ring and slipped it on just as the giant worm monster closed its jaws around her.

[Bard, Please.]

Suddenly, the sound of an electric guitar started to sound off inside the monster's mouth. The monster started to expand as the power that was being emitted from inside it was becoming more than it could handle, in a matter of seconds, the worm monster was completely destroyed as an explosion of yellow and red light turned the creature into dust. Witch changed her instrument to that of a French horn and blew a note, which had the effect of having a concussive wave of magical energy fired from the mouth of the horn.

Belos struck the blast with his staff and caused it to hit a statue and destroyed it one shot. Witch fell from the air, descending on Belos' position as she came down with a powerful ax kick. Belos once again teleported away just as Witch's ax kick struck the floor, cracking it and creating a crater five feet wide. The Emperor reappeared near his makeshift throne and glowered at the hero, annoyed that he had to put this much effort into battling a child.

"Luz, we don't have much more time left!"

What do you mean?

"This form is powerful, but it's burning through my mana very quickly! We need to finish this fight now or we'll be in trouble!"

GOT IT!"

Witch slipped on the second new ring she made and reset the Hand Author.

[Lupachi Magic Touch Go! Lupachi Magic Touch Go!]

"Time for the finale!"

"My sentiments exactly!"

[ VERY NICE, HOLY! FABULOUS! ]

La Lechuza appeared in the form a light construct, the Phantom owl flew around Witch until she was behind her. La Lechuza flew forward and merged with Witch, in another flash of light appeared the head of La Lechuza on Witch's chest plate. Belos raised his staff and gathered his magical energy, at the same time, the eyes of the OwlHead opened and gathered magical energy to them.

Belos thrust his staff forward and fired a column sized beam of scarlet light that roared towards Witch. At the same time, Witch braced herself as she fired the twin yellow light beams from the eyes of the OwlHead, the sound of a screeching owl filled the room as the twin beams and Belos' beam crashed against each other at the center of the chamber. The entire room shook as the two beams battled for supremacy, the nexus of their meeting created arcs of yellow and red lightning that shot out indiscriminately at the walls, floor, and ceiling, destroying whatever was in their path.

Belos was becoming even more annoyed than he was before, this human, this human child, was actually making him work for what should have been a simple show of strength, but instead, he actually had to try. What is she?! What is this magic that she wields?!

"LUZ, I'M ALMOST OUT!"

THEN LET'S GIVE IT EVERYTHING WE'VE GOT!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

The two beams doubled in size, the nexus point started to distort, and then, a powerful explosion erupted in the middle of the room, forcing Belos to brace himself against the sheer power of that blast. However, in so doing, he left himself wide open as Witch cut through the dust cloud. She let out a loud battle cry as she delivered a spinning air round house kick with her left foot, striking Belos right in the face and sending the tyrant flying into his makeshift throne.

However, that was the last attack she would land as the Light Owl Style form deactivated, disappearing in a shower of yellow particles, leaving only Luz. The Latina huffed and panted from the intense battle, but still she smirked in triumph at landing a blow against the all-powerful Emperor Belos. That smirk was short lived as the remaining sinew strands rose from the ground and wrapped themselves around Luz's legs, dragging her to the floor as more of them wrapped around her body.

Belos' body made a few sickly cracking sounds as he got back up, showing his damaged mask which allowed Luz to see his glowing blue eye. "Well, I must say, that was the first time in a very long time that I've had to exert such effort, and against any kind of opponent. And it's been even longer since anyone's managed to lay a hand on me, much less a foot." The lord of the isles dashed and appeared before Luz as he gave her a threatening look. "But that's the first and only time you'll ever do that. I like your spirit, I really do, but my patience is wearing thin."

Luz glared defiantly at Emperor Belos and said, "If you're going to kill me, then do it already."

Belos scoffed at the notion. "No, dear girl, I won't be killing you. For now, you serve a purpose. There are still plenty of Phantoms left roaming about on my island, and for the time being, you are the only one capable of destroying them. Don't get me wrong, I am but a humble messenger, what I do, I do by the will of the Titan."

Belos waved his hand and released Luz, he figured that if she was going to do anything, she would've done it while still transformed.

"In the grand scheme of things, the Owl Lady's life is inconsequential. That is until you showed up, Luz Noceda. Everything has changed since you have arrived into my realm." Belos leaned down and cupped Luz's face with his thumb and index finger. "Now listen to me, human, if you want to save your precious mentor, you'll give me the portal to the human realm."

Luz's eyes widened with fear as Belos released her, different scenarios played in her mind at what Belos could do with the portal. Her world had no way to defend against the magic of this world, if Belos sent an army into the Human Realm, there was very little that anyone there could do to stop them, short of using nukes, but even then, Luz was sure that Belos had the power to destroy those.

"My home…you…why do you–?"

Luz was cut off when she started hearing the screams of Eda coming from overhead.

"I will at least put your mind at ease about one thing, I have no desire to invade the Human Realm. The Titan's will is not quite so boorish, but you'll understand soon enough. Tick tock hero, what is your decision?" Belos asked. "The Owl Lady doesn't have much time left."

Luz looked up to where the sounds were coming from and then back to Belos, she was stuck between a rock and hard place. Belos said that he didn't want to invade the Human Realm, but as evidenced by Lilith, Belos would say anything to get what he wanted, who was to say he wasn't lying about invading Earth? On the other hand, why was he bargaining with her? As powerful as Belos is, he could easily just make Luz tell him where the portal was, kill her, and petrify Eda, and then all his problems would be gone.

But then again, as he stated, he needed Luz, the Phantoms and herself were the only things on this island that seem to threaten whatever plans he has in store. The only problem is, the Phantoms were unpredictable, and sought only the destruction of this island, but even that was a working theory. However, Luz was the more…predictable one, if there was a Phantom attack, she would rise to destroy it, and her motives were simple enough. To defend her friends and loved ones. That was something that Belos could easily count on, and not have to worry about Luz making risky moves that might end up putting said friends in danger.

In the end, there was only one play Luz could make. With tears in her eyes, Luz reached under her shirt, took out the key, and pressed on the crystal eye. "FINE! YOU WIN!" The portal briefcase rose from the floor and Luz held it close to her chest as she said, "Lo siento mama (I'm sorry mom)."

Owlbert flew down from his safe place and brought himself, in staff form, to Luz. Luz took hold of Eda's staff as she handed the portal over to Belos, albeit very reluctantly.

"Here, it's yours!"

"Ah, there's a good girl, the Titan will be pleased." Belos reached out with his left hand and grabbed the briefcase. With that business done, Luz walked onto the platform. With a tap of his staff, Belos commanded the platform to rise to the stage above. "Go on then, little false witch, go and be a hero."

Luz tightened her grip on the staff as she turned around and glared down at Belos. "I may've lost, but so have you." Upon making this declaration, Luz struck the butt of Eda's staff against the platform, channeling her magic through it as Owlbert's eyes glowed in response.

Belos was confused for a moment before he looked down at the briefcase, the side that he didn't see had three Fire Glyphs plastered onto it. Too late, all three Glyphs exploded, forcing Belos to release his grip on what was left of the briefcase as the remnants of the portal burned before him. The Emperor looked up at Luz, and Luz looked down at him, their gazes met one last time as the human girl ascended out of his sight.

"Clever girl…"

WITCH

A lot of things happened after Luz battled Emperor Belos, Luz managed to save Eda from the Petrification, but she was stuck as the Owl Beast. However, Lilith stepped up and took part of the curse onto herself, now both her and Eda were cursed and without magic, but at least Eda was back to normal. Luz vowed to teach both Clawthorne sisters all she knew about the Glyphs, and together they would learn more and more about the Glyphs and bolster each other through their shared knowledge.

They hadn't seen any Coven Scouts since they made their escape, and Hooty was on guard for now, promising to keep a careful watch over the Owl House after everything that happened. At this point, Luz was expecting a Phantom attack, just to round out the bad day they were all having. But here it was, late at night, and all was well. Luz had her phone turned towards her, video chronically all that occurred in the last forty-eight hours, doing so by the light of a glowing orb.

"And that's how we escaped from the Emperor, and how I got my Super Form. Everyone told me he's the most powerful witch alive, but look at this, mom." Luz held up a piece of Belos' mask towards the camera. "I chipped off a piece of his mask, and that's after I kicked him in the face! My Light Owl Style form seems to be a match for him, but it burns mana too quickly, and now that he's seen it, I doubt he'll be taken by surprise again."

Luz released a solemn sigh.

"It's a strange feeling, having gone through so much and not having you here to share it with…I don't know when or how I'm going to be able to see you again." Luz picked up a photo of herself and her mother. She torched the only way back home, but it was necessary to keep Belos from enacting his plans. "But I will find my way home to you. Deja una luz puesta para mi, te quiero (Leave a light on for me, I love you)."

"Next time, we won't end the fight in a draw. There will be a clear winner, and that will be us."

"You sound determined, Lala."

"Lala?!"

"My nickname for you, a little easier than having to say your whole name," Luz explained.

"Ugh…Because of recent events, I will allow you to use that ridiculous nickname."

"Gracias. Maybe you can start using my name more?" Luz asked.

"When I deem it necessary, but you are still a child, so I will refer to you as such."

Luz rolled her eyes as she put out her orbs of light and snuggled into her sleeping bag. "…What was that?"

"What was what?"

"When I fought Lilith, I…I felt so angry, and when I was that angry, my magic it felt…it felt like it changed for a moment," said Luz.

The Inner Phantom thought back to that moment, even now she still contemplated what that was. Luz's optimism and hopefulness fuel the magic within her and allowed her to tap into the mana of La Lechuza to cast her spells. But when she fought Lilith, she felt only anger. That anger managed to make her strong, strong enough to overpower Lilith. Granted she wasn't trying to fight them, but still. What concerned La Lechuza more was how, oppressive it felt, it was as if she was being surrounded by a cloud of raging miasma and it threatened to consume her and the Underworld of Luz Noceda.

"I don't know, Niña, but I would suggest not allowing yourself to be swayed by your anger like that again. It's dangerous, for you, and for me."

"I understand, now that I think back on it, the whole thing felt…wrong."

"Rest easy then, you have earned a good night's sleep."

"Goodnight, Lala."

She could feel La Lechuza bristle at that nickname. "Good night…Luz."

WITCH

Emperor Belos had a bit of a setback in his plan, Luz Noceda's last minute trap destroyed the portal, but not as thoroughly as she might've wanted. The Scouts were currently at work constructing the gateway, while Belos took to overseeing the reconstruction of the portal door personally. It had been a long time since he arrived to this world, a long, long time since his brother's passing. But now at least some of the pieces were gathered, it was just a matter of time.

Belos paused in his work as he felt a presence, the lord of the isles looked over his shoulder and spotted a dark shadow standing in the middle of his workroom. It had no defining features, other than the short horn-like silhouettes on its head, and its glowing red eyes. Despite the unsettling sight of this apparition, Belos didn't seem to be frightened or surprised by its appearance.

"Whatever it is you're planning, it won't work," said Belos.

You underestimated my reach, "Belos". The pieces are in place, and my time will soon come again.

"Not before I open that portal, and not before the Day of Unity."

The shadow gave a deep, low chuckle.

Oh yes, you're oh so precious "Day of Unity", what a crock that is. For centuries I have been feeding on these parasites' magic, feeding me, slowly put surely regaining my strength. But then you come along, and you implement your innovative "Coven System", and punish those who mix magic who are not among your ranked elite. You may've stymied me, but the Phantoms will put an end to you and your machinations.

Belos turned to face the apparition and glared at it. "So, it was you who summoned them, but I know you have no corporeal form in which to interact with this plain of existence. Which begs the question, who is following your orders? Despite all your power, the only one who is strong enough to hear you is myself."

Wouldn't you like to know, "Belos"? You have a traitor in your ranks, and I'm going to enjoy watching you twist yourself into knots trying to figure out who.

The apparition disappeared and left Belos alone, the lord of the isles took off his damaged mask and placed it on the desk, revealing the withered face of Belos. "Despite all your stunts, it is I who will be victorious, Titan."

WITCH

The castle of Emperor Belos, home to the most powerful witch to ever live on the Boiling Isles, was under attack. Several Coven Scouts were laid out on the ground, having fought hard but ultimately were no match for the foe who decimated the keep. Some were dead, others unconscious, a few were severely injured, but to the one responsible this made no difference to them. They were all guilty, all who followed the will of Emperor Belos, willingly, were evil. The Coven System needed to be destroyed, and in order for that to happen, the head of the snake needed to be cut off first.

The assailant of the castle was shrouded in black shadows, violet light emanated from their body at different intervals, and at one point, black wings could be seen peeking out from the shadows, the only evidence of such a thing was from the few feathers that fluttered about as they walked through the halls.

The doors to the throne room burst apart in a shower of metal shards and splinters. The beating heart that was affixed to the roof of the chamber beat slowly and methodically, as if completely calm about the whole situation. Upon this throne sat Emperor Belos, despite the devastation that was going on beyond his throne room doors, the lord of the isles just sat there, doing nothing.

"I see you've come to pay me a visit."

"Not a visit, I've come to execute you."

Belos feigned ignorance as he said, "Oh my, execute? Pray tell, what crimes have I committed that would warrant such a harsh punishment."

"You've consolidated the magic of this island, by sealing away other people's magic. Those who didn't fit the mold of your vision of a perfect society, who didn't join your Coven System, you labeled as Wild Witches and criminalized them! You've stymied the future of many witches, but now, that all ends today," said the assailant.

"I see, those do sound like serious crimes. But, I wonder, are you able to do this?" Belos rose from his throne and walked down the steps to meet the intruder. "What do you plan to do after you've executed me? Hmm? Think the people will welcome you as a hero?"

"They will, when I bring your plans into the light!"

"Oh-ho-ho, you may look grown up," Belos raised his hand and released a blast of magical energy towards the assailant. The dark shadows that surrounded them were washed away and revealed their identity. "But you're still thinking like a child, Luz Noceda."

Now that the darkness had been blown away, it was clear to see who it was. She was a tall Hispanic woman in her early twenties, wearing a beat-up green jacket, and a purple and white striped shirt. She wore jean pants that were ripped, and battle worn, and red sneakers. Her arms and hands were covered in scars, these scars seemed to continue on the rest of her body, as there were signs of scarring around her ankles, and lastly, there was a large "X" shaped scar on over her face, which only added to the intensity of her brown glaring eyes. Her hair was long, and a mess from the recent fighting she had been doing, but hair care wasn't on her priority list right now. On her back she sported two large, black feathered wings that gave a little flap of agitation.

Around her waist was a WizarDriver, but instead of gold coloring the Hand Author, it was a deep violet color. On her left hand, Luz wielded a magic ring that possessed a violet-colored magic stone. This stone radiated with a dark power, a power that not even Belos was stupid enough to underestimate.

"What can I say, Belos? I'm still a kid at heart."

[Shabadoobi touch to henshin! Shabadoobi touch to henshin!]

"I wonder if we'll find a kid when I take your heart out. Henshin!"

[Darkness, NOW.]

~~(***)~~

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Luz awoke with a start, her heart felt as if it wanted to burst out of her chest, and her body was drenched in sweat. The teen Latina looked at her hands, and both were shaking, scratch that, her whole body was. Luz hugged herself as the vividness of that nightmare lingered. But what she saw wasn't what scared her the most, no, it's what she heard right before she snapped herself awake.

"I'll see you soon, other me."
