Luz was in the living room, lying out on the loveseat as she looked at the echo-mouse in the terrarium. Eda was busy looking through some scrolls and books, and for some reason she had clothes pins on her eyelids, which had to be extremely painful. King was there as well, sitting across from Eda's left on the opposite side of the large couch. Luz could hear him talking, but every so often his voice would crack. It was clearly annoying the heck out of him. As much as Luz would've loved to inquire further about Eda and King, she was having her own issues at the moment.

Namely, Amity. It had been days since she last saw the lilac haired witch girl, days since said witch girl went and kissed her on the cheek. Even now the phantom feeling of Amity's lips against her left cheek still persisted. It was something not easily forgotten, as it was the first time she had ever been kissed like that. Not counting her mother, but by another girl, and one that had beforehand professed having feelings for her, and to whom she professed back. Amity had agreed to Luz's slightly selfish request to wait for her to be alright with accepting those feelings.

Not because she didn't like Amity, Titan knows that was not the case. But since then, other things have cropped up in her mind about her, well, "worthiness" to be going out with such a girl. Amity was cool, belonged to a prestigious family, and was groomed for greatness. Whereas she, Luz Noceda, had nothing going for her other than being a Kamen Rider. But as she discovered not too long ago, she didn't know what she wanted in her life beyond defeating the Phantoms and restoring peace to the Boiling Isles.

There really wouldn't be a need for a Kamen Rider after the Phantoms were destroyed, well, there was still the problem of Emperor Belos. Pan's ominous warning about Belos planning something had not left her mind, she knew he was a bad person, but she could only deal with one threat at a time, and oh, less we forget, the Cannibal Phantom, Nuckelavee. The Phantom that even made other Phantoms hide in fear.

It was a bit of a conundrum, she wanted to be with Amity, and yet she also felt unworthy to be with her. Ugh…Zoe messed me up more than I thought…

"How we doin' hoot house?!" Hooty asked, obnoxiously loud.

King, annoyed, retorted, "Can you keep it down! Down. Down! Why does this keep happening?"

Hooty stretched himself over to King and said, "Looks like our little demon is turning into a 'de-man.'"

King shuddered. "Ugh, why does that sound so wrong coming from you? You! AUGH! I am done with this!"

Hooty watched as the little demon walked out of the room in frustration due to his constant cracking voice. He then stretched himself over to Eda and said, "Heh-heh. Those teens, eh? Their moods change like the wind."

Eda brought down the scroll she was reading, revealing how haggard she looked, eyes blood shot with bags under them.

"WHOA!" Hooty exclaimed.

Eda looked over at Hooty and stated, "I'm freaking out, Hooty. Belos planning something big and I'm weaker than a newborn witchling. If I want to protect you guys, I have to train as hard as I can to get strong. No rest!"

Hooty voiced his concern about Eda's plan. "But every time you overwork yourself, you turn into the Owl Beast," he warned.

"I said no rest!" Eda remarked as she pulled out an airhorn from her hair and blew it right before she exited the living room.

"Can you guys, please, be quiet? You're scaring the echo-mouse." Luz asked as she sat up on her knees. "And if he's not happy, I'll never make my way into Amity's heart."

Luz blushed when she realized what she had just said and quickly grabbed the terrarium.

"I mean, make a portal back home…Uh…we have to go!"

Luz ran up the stairs until she made it to room, and kicked the door shut behind her, face still red from admitting something so embarrassing in front of Hooty of all people. Luz brought the terrarium up to look at the echo-mouse.

"Okay little mouse. If you don't want to tell me about Philip or how he made his portal, maybe you can tell me how to ask out a cotton-candy-haired goddess?" Luz asked.

The echo-mouse's left ear twitched before he turned around and scurried into his cardboard tube.

Luz sighed in disappointment. There were so many things going on, and you would think that asking out a girl who you knew had feelings for you would be the least troublesome of them all, but right now it was the most daunting thing for her. Luz placed the terrarium on her windowsill as she thought about it a bit more.

"Amity's smart, cool, and classy. If I want to ask her out, it should be breathtaking! Amazing! Emotional and real! Everyone back home said I was cheesy…" Luz balled up her fist as a look of determination appeared on her face. "I can't let Amity think the same!"

Just then, a knock came at her door. Curious, Luz walked over and opened it. There was no one there, but when she looked down, she spotted a piece of paper. Luz knelt down, picked it up, and began reading it.

"'As we stumble through life, gloom knows no bounds. You'll only find love when you're in the ground.' Ugh." Luz flipped the paper around and found more. "'P.S.: I mean the basement!'" The young Latina stood up in annoyance and stated, "Hooty, I don't have time for this! Also, we have a basement?"

With nothing better to do but mope about, Luz headed back downstairs. She looked around and found a door that she had not opened before. When she did, Luz found that it led directly down into an honest to goodness basement.

"Huh, been living here for months and I never knew we had one," said Luz as she used a Light Glyph to conjure a light sphere.

As she descended the stairs into the basement, La Lechuza decided to chime in.

"I honestly don't know what's so complicated about asking out the Blight girl. Just tell her you want to go out, simple."

It's not that simple, Lala! Amity's not just some other girl, she's special! She's amazing! And if I'm going to ask her out, I need to step up and do it right!

Once Luz reached the bottom, she used the light sphere to illuminate the dark, allowing her to see various knickknacks scattered about. As she shined her light around, a shadow was cast onto the wall that looked suspiciously like Amity.

"Amity?!" Luz exclaimed.

However, upon taking a closer look, she discovered it was just an old lamp that was situated next to something big on the floor.

"Wow, this has really got me messed up. I mean, that's silly. Why would amity be in our – HUH!"

Luz watched as the thing on the floor next to the lamp began to wriggle about as if alive. She could hear a muffled voice coming from it and was two seconds away from turning the sphere into a light sword to combat whatever was in it. However, the object burst apart and revealed none other than Amity Blight, visibly confused and disgusted.

"AMITY?!" Luz gasped.

The lilac haired witch turned to her right and saw Luz. "Luz?! Where are we? I think Hooty brought me here…?"

Within the subspace of their hosts' psyches, La Lechuza paid a visit to Bast and found the cat Phantom shivering.

"What in the heck is wrong with you?"

"I've seen things…horrible things in that owl worm's body…I had to shield Amity from them…but I cannot forget…"

La Lechuza gulped. "Mental note: Never let Hooty owl pellet Luz under ANY circumstances."

Luz was beyond embarrassed, Hooty had not only owl pelleted Amity, but he brought her to the basement of the Owl House. "Ah, well, this is our basement." The Latina quickly helped Amity to her feet. "I am so sorry about this! Hooty's been acting weird all day."

Upon realizing that they were holding hands, Amity and Luz let go, with both girls blushing noticeably.

"Yeah. House demons get like that after a couple thousand years. It's fine," said Amity as she backed up a bit from Luz.

Luz put her hands behind her back as she said, "I haven't seen you at Hexside for a few days. I was getting a little bit worried. I thought about going to go and check up on you, but I didn't want to bother you…"

Amity rubbed her right arm. While facing her Shadow was quite a traumatic experience, it was not as harrowing as the situation she was in right now. Her impulsive kissing of Luz's cheek was not only embarrassing, but also went against Luz's wishes for Amity to wait until she was ready. The witchling had to figure out a way to salvage what they had or else risk losing, possibly, the one girl who she felt she could be with for the rest of her life.

"Yeah, some things happened, that I'll need to catch you up on. But, before that…" Amity sighed and then continued. "Listen, Luz, about what happened at my place. I kinda – If we could just forget about the thing maybe? I was–"

Luz felt fear grip her heart, did Amity feel as if what she did was a mistake? Did she have time to think that maybe she was not the right girl for her?

"Hey! All I care about is getting you out of our dirty, weird basement!" Luz stated as she walked towards Amity.

"These two just need to come out and say it," said La Lechuza.

"I hear you, sister," Bast replied.

As Luz took a step towards Amity, something happened. The floor became unstable, jostling Luz and Amity. The two girls wobbled back and forth until they lunged towards each other, reflexively, and grabbed onto each other for stability. Of course, this kind of close contact was embarrassing for the both of them. However, that feeling didn't last long as the floor opened beneath them, revealing a trapdoor.

"I hate that owl worm tube."

"Seconded."

Amity and Luz fell through the long shaft, screaming the whole way down. The two girls held onto each other for dear life, unsure what awaited them down below. The fall was not as long as they thought as the shaft spat them out, letting them fall onto a bunch of soft pillows that were heart shaped and colored in various shades of red and pink.

Luz groaned from the sudden fall. When she opened her eyes, she saw that the pillow on her left had the image of some kind of demon version of cupid and gasped.

"Oh no…"

Luz did the only sensible thing that she could do. She broke out a Fire Glyph paper and set the thing on fire, incinerating it to ashes on the spot and startling Amity. The teen Latina managed to get off the pile of heart shaped pillows and onto solid ground, once she stood up, another piece of paper appeared, floating down from above. She quickly grabbed it and read it.

"'To return to the world above, make your way through the tunnel of–!' No…"

The dim room they were in suddenly became illuminated, allowing Luz to see the horror before her. There was a pier a few feet in front of her, and to her left was a large swan boat. Up ahead was a heart shaped door, with velvet red drapes, and pink lights that were hung along the edge of the doorway. Above the doorway was a sign that read, "Tunnel of Love." On the sides of the tunnel were carboard cutouts of bushes, flowers, and one had a cat peeking out of a cardboard box.

"This is not happening right now! This is not happening!" Luz whispered to herself. "If Amity sees this, she'll think I'm such a loser!"

Amity, after finally getting free of the pillows, stood beside Luz, and stared at the scene before. "What is all this?"

That's when the swan boat's head turned to look at Luz and Amity, but it was revealed that the head was in fact Hooty. The neck part stretched out and wrapped itself around Luz and Amity, carrying them up and then dropping them into the boat itself. Once they were inside, the Hooty-Swan boat moved forward, sailing down the waters of the tunnel.

Luz got up and in an annoyed tone grumbled, "Hooty!"

The two girls had no choice but to sit down in the boat and let it take them through the tunnel. As they sailed down the tunnel, it was becoming clear that Hooty had done a lot to put all this together. The amount of work that it took to create all this, in such a small amount of time, was absurd. It made Luz wonder if he had planned on doing this days in advance. There were animatronic rabbits, and other cute critters that waved to them, and even some of the flowers were on hydraulics that made them move up and down.

Luz hid her face in her hands, feeling cringe inducing embarrassment, so much so that she felt as if she was going to implode from all the cringe.

Amity, meanwhile, was hugging her legs close to her as she tried to take in everything she was seeing. The lilac haired witch's attention was drawn to a banner that read, "I think you're smart, cool, and classy". Amity was not dumb, she understood that this was a tunnel of love, but when she saw those words on the banner, her face when bright red. Luz thought she was smart, cool, and classy.

Did she set this up? Did she have Hooty bring me here so that she could tell me that she wants to go out?

Amity's face got even redder at the idea, and she quickly fixed up her hair in an effort to make herself look more presentable after their little tumble earlier.

Unfortunately, Luz was not enjoying anything about this. All this was doing was bringing back bad memories of when Zoe made Luz her gofer. How she confessed her feelings to the most popular girl in school, and was made fun of by her, and made to do whatever she wanted so that she wouldn't tell everyone about Luz being bi. Even now she could hear the mocking laughter of that girl.

"No, no, I'm gonna be made fun of again," Luz muttered in fear.

"Did you, uh – Did you just say something?" Amity asked, believing she may have missed Luz's proposal.

"Uh…" Luz looked at Amity, but then her attention was grabbed by a large wooden heart that had the words "Amity Bee Mine" painted on it. "NO!"

Luz launched herself at the display and tore it down with a vengeance. When Luz returned to the boat, she was holding the antenna of a animatronic bee in her hands, and Amity was looking up at her with utter confusion. "That was, uh…an invasive species."

That's when Hooty faced cupids began firing heart tipped arrows with messages rolled around the shaft. One of them hit the water and unfurled itself, revealing a message that read, "Amity – U R A Q-T".

Luz squealed in shock, but her worries weren't over as a volley of arrows came flying at them, each one carrying an embarrassing message. The Latina quickly got to the bow of the boat and began swatting the arrows out of the air.

"I'm so sorry, Amity! This is not supposed to happen!" Luz stated.

Wait…What does she mean, "not supposed to happen"? Amity thought as her expression saddened.

Luz saw more animatronic animals up ahead and decided to just destroy it all before Amity thought she was a dork, a loser, someone that she would never date in a thousand years. She broke out more Fire Glyphs, channeled her mana into them, and launched a multi fireball blitz at everything in sight, making the animatronic creations explode, and set most of them on fire. She jumped out of the boat, and began using her Plant, and Ice Glyphs to destroy even more of the set.

Amity gasped as she watched Luz destroy more and more the tunnel of love, showing little to no remorse in doing so. Is she telling me that she doesn't want to be with me…? That's she's angry with me for kissing her like that because she wasn't ready…?

The boat eventually made it to the other end of the tunnel, stopping next to a pier. Luz had dived into the water and reemerged in front of the pier, exhausted from her spree of destruction.

"This was a nightmare," said Luz.

Amity flinched when she heard that, solidifying what she had thought. "Yeah…it kinda was. I'll get out of your hair."

Amity got out of the boat and began walking away, prompting Luz to rush out of the water and onto the pier. "Amity, wait! T-This wasn't me! This was all Hooty's stupid idea!"

Amity stopped and turned to show her teary-eyed face. "Yeah. This was stupid. I mean, us, dating? Heh. That's stupid, right? Especially after what I did when you weren't ready. After I said I would give you time."

Luz gasped in horror; Amity had believed she had set all this up to ask her out. How could I be that stupid…?!

"NOOOOO! I DID IT AGAIN!" Hooty – who appeared out of nowhere – screamed.

Luz and Amity watched as Hooty, who had busted through the pier, retracted himself. When he left, the entire house began to rumble and shake.

"Oh, great, that can't be good!" Luz exclaimed.

"Luz!"

"C'mon!"

Luz and Amity ran towards the stairs on the other side, all the while they could hear Hooty yelling things.

"I CAN'T HELP ANYONE! OUT! OUT, VILE OWL! RID THIS HOUSE OF THYSELF! NEVER SHALL I CURSE THIS HOME WITH MY ODIOUS PRESENCE AGAIN!"

Luz and Amity had to brace themselves several times as the rumbling and shaking got more violent by the second. The shaking subsided for a moment, allowing the two teens to exit the basement and return to the surface outside of the house.

"Luz, what's going on?!" Amity asked.

"I don't know, but things always get weird when Hooty's upset," said Luz.

More rumblings occurred, throwing Luz and Amity off balance. That's when the girls saw a huge piece of the tower break off and fall towards them, without thinking, Luz immediately put her arms around Amity in a vain effort to protect her. However, before the piece of rock could flatten them, King released a blast of energy in the form of a sonic pulse that struck the piece of rock and destroyed it, creating a shower if sparkles around both of the girls. Amity and Luz looked up and watched in awe as the sparkles danced around them, bathing them in beautiful light, and making Luz see Amity's beauty even more.

The girls stood back up, and as they did, Eda flew down, but not on Owlbert. Somehow, Eda had managed to fuse with the Owl Beast, becoming half witch and half beast, like a harpy. "Are you two alright?!"

"M-Ms. Eda!" Amity exclaimed in shock.

Luz shook her head in amazement. "Not as okay as you! Dang girl. I have a few questions for later."

Hooty broke through the ground, still bawling like a madman screaming, "I FAILED YOU ALL! I FAILED YOU ALL!" as he dragged himself around the yard, cutting huge grooves into the earth.

"No hooty! You actually weirdly helped me. I'm like a Harpy Woman now," said Eda.

"And I can explode things with my voice powers!" King remarked.

"BUT I STILL FAILED LUZ!"

Eda looked to Luz and asked, "Luz, what was Hooty trying to do?"

"Quick! Pretend he helped you before he destroys everything!"

Luz glanced over her shoulder at Amity, and then moved closer to Eda. The Owl Lady used her new wing as a shield to grant them some privacy.

"He was trying to help me ask Amity out," said Luz.

"Oh, whoa. Do you wanna?" Eda asked.

Luz gave a shy nod.

"Then do it," said Eda, encouragingly.

"Eda, I messed up earlier. Amity thought that the Tunnel of Love was my way of asking her out, but I destroyed it and now she thinks I did it because she thinks I'm angry about her kissing me a few days ago…I messed up big, Eda, there's no way she'll accept me now…" Luz confessed.

Eda placed a reassuring hand on her ward's shoulder and said, "Hey, don't give up. Take it from me, kid. If you don't try, you'll spend your life thinking 'what if.' And I don't want that for you. So, go over there, and ask out that girl!"

"But like this?" Luz asked as she pointed to the scene before them.

Hooty was still bawling and rolling around in the yard.

"Yeesh. Yeah, I get what you mean. I might be able to help. It won't be perfect, but, hey, does really need to be?" Eda asked rhetorically. "Good luck kid!"

With that said, Eda placed King on her shoulders and rushed at Hooty. The harpy witch managed to grab ahold of the worm house demon and pulled up higher into the air. Luz turned to Amity, it was now or never.

"Amity – WHOA!"

Suddenly, the ground gave way due to all of Hooty's nonsense, causing a ditch to form beneath the two teens. Luz managed to pick herself back up and rushed towards Amity.

"Oh, my gosh! Amity, are you oaky?!" Luz asked.

Amity raised her hand in a stopping motion as she said, "I'm alright."

Luz bent down and gently took Amity's hand into her own, helping the cotton-candy-haired goddess to her feet. "Amity, I'm sorry."

"For what?" Amity asked.

"For what happened in the Tunnel of Love…Amity, it's not stupid that you want to date me, because I want to date you, too," said Luz.

Amity's eyes widened. "But…back there, you were–"

"I was embarrassed! Hooty did all that because he knew that I wanted to ask you out, and when he pelleted you, and put us in that boat. I started to get afraid…"

Amity's mind was starting to put the pieces together. She walked closer to Luz and took her right hand into her left. "This is because of Zoe, isn't it?"

Luz sighed and nodded in the affirmative. "I'm so sorry. I was afraid you'd think I was cheesy, and dorky, and just…just not someone you wanted to go out with. I mean, you are smart, , and cool. And when I think about you wanting to go out with someone like me…I got scared that it might turn out like it did back home…"

Amity squeezed Luz's hand a bit tighter. I swear to the Titan, if I ever get to go to the Human Realm with Luz, I'm going to make this Zoe girl pay for doing this to Luz. But forget her for right now.

"Luz, I'm not as cool as you think. I'm flawed just like you, or have you forgotten the way I was when we first met?"

Luz used her free hand to rub the back of her head. "Eh-heh-heh…Yeah, I do remember."

"Well, that should tell you a lot already. I'm not perfect, I'm not worthy of such high praise from you. I still have much to improve about myself before I can be the person I truly want to become," said Amity.

Luz smiled at Amity after hearing that. "Amity, I don't know what my future holds, everything is so crazy with the Phantoms, and us being Riders, but…I'd be so happy if you could be a part of whatever that future is. So…uh…"

Silence reigned for a solid minute as Luz tried to summon the courage to say the words, her face going through several expressions as she prepared herself to say the words.

"Do you want to go out with me?!" Amity blurted out.

"No! I was so ready," said Luz.

Amity blushed as she replied, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You can say it."

The youngest Blight child stood back and waited for Luz to say it.

"Okay…" Luz inhaled deeply, and exhaled slowly as she said, "Amity Blight, do you wanna go out with me?"

"YES!" Amity yelled, but then blushed hard when she realized how loudly she said that. "I-I mean, yes, I would love to go out with you!"

"Okay!" Luz exclaimed giddily.

The two lovebirds fidgeted awkwardly before Luz offered her right hand to Amity. Amity reached out with her left and took hold of it, the feeling of doing it now as opposed to a moment ago was vastly different. Luz wrapped her left arm around her midsection, while Amity used her right hand to grip the edge of her blouse.

"Why is this still so scary?"

"I don't know."

Up above, Eda, King, and Hooty – who was now crying tears of joy – were watching all this unfold from the aerial vantage point. Eda shook her head, impressed by the house demon's shenanigans that strangely helped each of the Owl House residences.

"Dang, Hooty, you really are something," said Eda.

Unfortunately, they weren't the only ones who were observing this happy moment between two young lovers. A shadow was observing everything from the edge of the forest. Its red eyes narrowing as it's the jagged red line that represented its mouth turned upwards, resembling a twisted smile. The shadow turned around and began walking away.

"It is time…"

Luz woke up that morning feeling on top of the world. While there were some other things that needed to be addressed, for now, Luz was just happy, happy in the fact that she finally managed to ask out Amity Blight, the prettiest, and coolest witch girl on the Boiling Isles. She was still a bit wary about the whole thing, afraid that when she went to Hexside today that she might find out that the whole thing was a dream. That was probably why the girl who was always so eager to go to magic school, felt hesitant about walking out the door.

"Okay, what's up this time?" Eda asked.

Luz turned around and said, "Well…I guess I'm just afraid."

"What do you have to be afraid about?" King asked as he stood next to Eda.

"After everything that happened last night, I'm just worried that when I get to Hexside, I'll find out that it was all a dream," Luz confessed.

"That what was a dream?"

"That I asked Amity to be my girlfriend and she said yes," said Luz.

Eda cocked her head to the side in confusion as she said, "You did? I don't remember that."

Luz's heart nearly stopped. "NOOOO! IT WAS A DREAM AFTER ALL! I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!"

King nudged Eda. "C'mon, Eda, don't mess with Luz after all that mess Hooty put us through."

Eda snickered a bit as she bonked Luz on the head, stopping her from going into a downward spiral. "Relax, Luz, you really did ask out the Blight girl. You two are officially girlfriends, and when you go to school, she'll tell you the same thing. Sorry, I couldn't help but mess with you a little."

Luz breathed a sigh of relief. "Eda, please, don't mess with me like that."

"Sorry, sorry, but hey," Eda patted Luz on the head as she smiled at her adopted daughter. "I'm proud of you for following through with that. Believe me, these are times you'll end up looking back on and asking yourself, 'Why didn't I ask them out?' Or 'Why didn't I just woman up and open up to them?' Now, c'mon, let's get you to school so you can see your new GF."

Luz nodded happily.

Soon she and Eda were on Owlbert as the two flew through the air. Eventually they arrived at Hexside, with Eda dropping off her ward in the courtyard. Luz bid her mentor farewell and started heading towards the school. When she did, she stopped and noticed that Amity was standing there at the foot of the steps.

"Amity!" Luz called out.

The lilac haired witch looked in her direction, blushed, and smiled.

Luz ran towards her and came to a stop about a foot away from her. Both girls stood there silently, blushing, and taking a moment to get used to this new feeling. "So…we're officially a couple now, right?"

"Y-Yeah, we are. This really is new for me, you know," said Amity.

"Same here," Luz replied. "Do you wanna hold hands? I mean, it's totally okay if you don't want to! I'm sure you don't want everyone to know just yet that we're together now, so – eep!"

Amity reached out and took Luz's right hand into her left. "I don't care if anyone sees us holding hands. I like you, Luz. I like you a lot. And I don't care if someone doesn't like the fact that we're together. Do you?"

Luz smiled at her girlfriend and replied with confidence, "No, I don't care if they do."

With that established, the two teens walked up the stairs of Hexside, hand in hand. Both took a deep breath and then exhaled before passing through the doors of the school. It should go without saying, the moment that Luz and Amity entered the school and walked the halls holding each other's hands while blushing like a couple of schoolgirls that they were, a good majority of the students' eyes were on them. It was a new experience for both of them.

Luz had always wanted to be with someone she liked, and who liked her back. The back of her mind was still working on Earth rules, thinking that the reason why everyone was staring at them was because it was a couple of girls holding hands like they were going out. But Luz had to constantly remind herself that this was the Demon Realm, and they don't discriminate on your orientation, actually, they look down on you if you did. Although, that still didn't help her mind from wondering what it was they were probably thinking about them. Luz, a human, holding hands with one of the most popular witches in the school, a witch who hailed from a prestigious and wealthy family. However, some of her fears were abated when she saw some of the students give her and Amity a thumbs up.

Soon they managed to find their friends. Gus, Willow, and Skara were standing by the lockers, talking amongst themselves, but they immediately stopped when they saw Luz and Amity approach them, hands still being held.

"Hey guys," Luz greeted meekly.

"Hey…" Gus looked at their hands and then to them. "Are you two…I mean…Are you two, like, official?"

Luz and Amity glanced at each other, with Amity giving Luz a nod.

"Yeah, Gus, we are."

"Willow, are you okay?" Amity asked as she saw her old childhood friend ball up her hands into fists.

"FINALLY!" Willow exclaimed as she threw her hands into the air and then clasped their shoulders. One hand on Luz's shoulder and another on Amity's. "Do you two know…how long I've waited…for you to FINALLY tell her how you feel, Amity?!"

Willow had an intense look on her face that made both girls' shudder.

"S-S-Sorry, I know I've asked you to keep it a secret for a lot longer than was probably necessary, but it's all good now! Luz and I are girlfriends," said Amity.

"Good." Willow's intense look fell away and morphed into one of absolute joy as she grabbed both girls into a big hug. "I'm so happy for you two!"

Luz and Amity smiled as well and then used their free hands to hug Willow back. Once they were released, Skara went up to Amity and hugged her fiercely.

"OMT! Am! This is amazing!" Skara broke the hug a little as she looked at Amity "We should totally do a double date! You and Luz, and me and Willow!"

Luz gasped as she now just thought about. "Double dates! We can do double dates now!" Luz gushed as she put her hands on Willow's shoulders. "I can have my first double date!"

"WHAT DID I JUST HEAR?!"

The excitement was ruined when they heard Boscha's voice echo through the hallway. The triclops witch came stomping down their way, a look of utter indignation on her face as she stopped about five feet from where the group was.

"Amity, you can't be serious! You're really going out with…with…her?!" Boscha asked.

Amity separated herself from the group and stared down Boscha. "I am. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Uh, duh, what was your first clue?! You can't go out with her! She's a just a human!"

"If I remember correctly, this human helped you when you were getting attacked by two Phantoms," said Amity.

Boscha's face reddened when she was reminded of that incident. "Okay, that was…that – The circumstances were different! Those were monsters, and we had to work together in order to make it out of that situation! But this is different! We're at the top of the social ladder, Amity. We don't date people below that line! Somehow you managed to maintain your popularity, and I'll admit, it's amazing despite you're hanging around them."

"Hey!" Gus exclaimed.

"I still can't believe Skara–"

"Watch it Boscha," Skara warned.

The triclops decided to let that one go for now. "But you, how could you do this?"

"I did this because I'm in love with Luz. I don't care that she's a human. And Boscha…" Amity stepped closer, nearly getting right in her face. "Since I am Luz's girlfriend, and she's mine, I'm giving you this warning. Don't mess with her or any of my friends. If you thought I would get angry before, you haven't seen me angry until now. So, out of respect for the fact that we were friends in the past, I'm going to let your remarks slide. Next time you make a scene like this, I'm not going to be so cordial."

Luz blinked. Oookay, is it hot in here or is it just me?

"While this novella has finally progressed, the drama and entertainment has yet to cease."

"Indeed, Laly, I can't wait to see all the embarrassing situations these little lovebirds of ours get into."

Boscha gritted her teeth and lamented the fact that Amelia was gone, along with Cat and Bo, and now Skara was on their side. The triclops witch released a huff and stormed off.

Amity turned around to face her friends and girlfriend and said, "I'm sorry it took me so long to finally say that to her. But I promise I won't let her mess with any of you, ever, again."

Luz was giddy as heck seeing her new girlfriend stand up to Boscha and tell her off like that. She wanted to go over there and give her a big hug for it. Oh, what the heck, she was going to do it anyway. Luz rushed towards Amity and hugged her, making Amity release a squeak of surprise, but after a moment she felt comfortable with this contact. It was still a new sensation. Being hugged by Luz, even for Luz, it was a still a new sensation to hug Amity, and it was still a new sensation for Amity herself, but one that both girls were happy to start getting used to.

After that little spat with Boscha, the group decided to start walking down the hallways to drop each other off at their next classes. They dropped off Skara at her Bard class, with the Bard witch giving her girlfriend a kiss on the cheek. Followed by Willow at her Plant class. Then Luz dropped off Amity at the Abomination class, it was a bit awkward between them for a moment, as they wondered if they should also kiss each other on the cheek, it was not like it was uncalled for at this point, Amity had already taken the initiative. In a slight moment of panic, both girls went to try and kiss the other on the cheek and ended up bumping their foreheads into each other.

"Ow!" they exclaimed.

"Well, that was embarrassing," said Amity.

"That didn't go like I was hoping it would," Luz added.

In the end, both girls just ended up laughing at their own awkwardness.

"We can work up to that, I guess." Luz suggested.

"Yeah, we're still getting used to this, after all," Amity agreed.

In the end they both opted for a hug and went their separate ways. Now it was only Luz and Gus, and as they walked, Luz could not help but feel a bit worried about Gus. "Hey, man, you alright?"

"Huh? Yeah, I'm good," said Gus. "Why do you ask?"

"Well…Willow and Skara are together…and now I'm with Amity. I…" Luz rubbed the back of her head as she tried to put this delicately. "I just didn't want you to feel awkward with us around. You know…since you're not with anyone and two of your best friends have someone. I just don't want you to feel as if you're bothering us or anything, you're our best friend, too, and I don't want you to feel left out."

Gus smiled up at Luz as he said, "Luz, it's cool. I don't feel that way at all. If anything, I'm happy for both of you."

"Really?" Luz asked.

"Willow's been through a lot, and now she's happier than I've ever seen her since you came along. And then when she and Skara got together, it was like life just got even better for her. I was hoping you'd find someone like Willow did, either here or back in the Human Realm." Gus then whispered, "But honestly, I was hoping it'd be a witch here in our world, so you'd have an excuse to come back and forth, or even become the first human-witch couple in history!"

Luz lightly shoved Gus for that, causing him to laugh. "Huh, actually, are Amity and I really the first human-witch couple?"

"As far as I know, yeah. A lot of information from the Savage Ages has been lost, and some historians are still putting it back together. What we know now is mostly what they've been able to discover and rediscover, but as far as humans and witches being together like you two, that's rare," said Gus.

Luz scratched her head as she thought about that. "Weird, there are stories in my world about witches and wizards falling in love with normal people, and I'm not even talking about 'The Good Witch Azura' books. Our mythologies almost always have stories about powerful beings falling in love with regular humans, or powerful magical creatures disguised as humans. Eda did say that every myth that exists in my world originally came from the Demon Realm. But I've been thinking…"

"Yeah?"

"What if the Demon Realm isn't the only magical world out there?" Luz pondered aloud.

"You mean, like there being another Demon Realm?" Gus asked.

"I was accidentally transported to a world of talking newts, toads, and frogs, and met up with two human girls who were also Kamen Riders. And then Mr. Tsukasa took me through his weird in-between world, and I got to see glimpses of other Rider Worlds. So, I mean, maybe Eda was only half right. Maybe there are other magical worlds that have leaked into mine, and some of them bare similarities to some of the things in your world. I mean, honestly, if it wasn't for your pointy ears, you'd pass for human just at a glance," said Luz.

Gus' mind was blown. He never even thought about the fact that there could be other worlds like the Demon Realm filled with magical beings. The Human Realm was still his number one place to visit, and definitely was at the top of his list of other worlds, but what Luz said raised a good point.

"Wow, Luz, just…wow. That's a lot to think about," said Gus.

"The multiverse is vast and full of possibilities," said Luz.

"Well, we kinda went off on a tangent. But, anyway, like I said, I'm alright. I may not have someone special like you and Willow, but I'm happy to be around you two and share a bit in that happiness."

Luz got a little teary eyed and hugged the Illusionist prodigy. "You can be so mature sometimes, Gus!"

"Okay, okay," said Gus in a placating manner, knowing that this was a typical Luz overreaction.

After she hugged him, Luz dropped Gus off at the Illusionists classroom and headed off to the Oracle classroom. However, as she made her way there, she ran into Barkus.

"Oh, hey Barkus!" Luz greeted.

*Bark!* (Luz, I would like to talk to you, alone. Please.)

"Oh, okay. But we'll need to make it quick, class is almost about to start."

Barkus nodded and motioned for Luz to follow him. The canine demon brought Luz to a classroom that was not in use at the moment. He then drew a spell circle that summoned a potion bottle. He uncorked the bottle and poured the contents on the door, causing it to glow bright green for a moment before the glow faded away.

*Bark!*
("There, we won't be troubled by eavesdroppers.")

"Uh, okay…Barkus, what's up?" Luz asked cautiously.

*Bark! Bark!*
("Luz, I sense a coming threat. Something dire and dark. Something that you have not faced before. And I feel as if you will need the power of all the Covens to overcome it.")

Luz was starting to get a little anxious. "Barkus, what are you talking about?"

*Bark!*
("I know you're Kamen Rider Witch.")

"WHAT! Nonononono, I am NOT Witch! I'm just a regular human girl!" Luz insisted.

Barkus gave her a deadpan stare.

*Bark! Bark!*
("You're aura has been shining brighter and brighter ever since the day you were kidnapped months ago. And more than that, every time I peer into your aura, I see a huge avian creature looming over you. Not in a threatening manner, but more protective, like a mother bird would protect her young.")

Awwwwwwwww, Lala, you care about me that much! Luz gushed.

"T-T-This creature doesn't know what he's talking about! If I'm protective of you it's because of the fact that if you die, so do I!"

You're such a tsundere.

"AUGH! Why don't you concentrate on the fact that he knows that you're a Rider!"

Oh, right.

"If you've known this whole time, why haven't you said anything?" Luz asked.

*Bark! Bark! Bark!*
("I assumed you had your reasons for not informing those closest to you. But as the Phantom attacks started to get worse, and with the fact they could easily disguise themselves as one of us and hide in plain sight, it became more apparent why you kept your identity a secret. If the Phantoms knew of your true identity and whereabouts, they could easily come after you and those in your home. But I could also see that there are those among you that also share your secret, correct?")

Luz nodded her head. "Yes, Willow and Gus know for sure, and so does Amity. Skara, we haven't exactly told her yet. Not because we don't trust her, but mostly because I am technically a Wild Witch, and the Coven Scouts are technically after me, too."

*Bark!*
("Wise decision, keeping the circle small makes it easier to keep track of those you trust, and makes it less likely that your enemies will know about you.")

Barkus jumped onto the teacher's desk so that he was more at eye level with Luz.

*Bark! Grr! Bark!*
("Recently, Luz, I've tried to scry your future, on my own time and in secret. And each time I try, I can't see anything other than a black shadow that threatens to consume you. When I try to scry the future of the Boiling Isles, that too is overshadowed. I do not know if it is because of the Phantoms, or something else. But whatever it is, it is clear that it will overtake the future of everyone in the Demon Realm. I've heard from Viney that you forged magic rings using her Beast Keeping and Healing magic, so I assume you have other types of magic as well?")

Luz saw no reason to keep things hidden from Barkus if he figured out this much. "Yes. I made an Abomination ring with Amity's help. An Illusion ring with Gus. A Construction ring from Mattholomule. One of my transformations uses the Plant Glyph, so I have Plant magic, although Willow did help me in forging my Super Form for that one. I got my Bard ring from Skara. And, if you can believe it, I got my Potions ring from Boscha."

Barkus blinked.

*Woof! Bark! *
("Wow, I did not see that last one coming. But as I said, you have eight of the nine types of magic, you only need Oracle. And I would like to be the one to help you forge that ring.")

It was true, Luz had eight of the nine Coven powers in the form of rings, the only one she had yet to obtain was Oracle. Honestly, this was probably the best thing for her. She had been wondering how she could finish the set without directly asking someone. All the others have been obtained through her friends, or by circumstance of being in the vicinity when bad things happened. So, it was a nice change of pace to have someone offer to help her forge a ring without there being an immediate Phantom attack. And after her encounter with Nuckelavee, Luz had no doubts that she was going to need all the powers of the Nine Covens to help her defeat the Cannibal Phantom.

"Alright, if you're up for it, let's do it!"

Luz took out her Connect ring, slipped it on, and then lifted her shirt a bit to reveal the Hand Author buckle underneath.

[Connect, Please.]

The young human held her hand out to the right, creating a magic circle. Barkus jumped a bit when he saw this, but quickly got over it as he stared in fascination. Luz reached into the circle, and from it she pulled out a magic stone. After she did, the circle disappeared.

"This stone will help us to forge the new ring. Are you ready?" Luz asked.

*Bark!*
("Let us begin!")

Luz put the stone on the desk and had Barkus place his right paw on top of it. She then placed both of her hands around his paw and the stone and began concentrating. Violet and yellow magical energy began to dance around the two of them, making Barkus' eyes widen with awe as he watched. Luz concentrated, making the energies flow into the magic stone, causing it to glow brightly within their grasp. The rest of the energies flowed into the stone, releasing a small burst of dual violet and yellow light. Luz released her hands and let Barkus raise his paw, and there it was. The ring had a violet-colored stone inside of it, with the symbol of the Oracle Coven on it.

The human girl took up her newly forged ring and waited for her Inner Phantom to deliver her assessment. What do you think, Lala?

"Surprisingly, it's quite potent, just like the others. Tell Barkus he helped forge an exceptional ring."

Luz smiled and relayed her message. "It's perfect, thank you, Barkus."

*Bark!*
("I just hope it's enough to help you.)

"Hey, don't forget, hope is my thing."

Luz decided to wait until after school to tell Willow, Gus, and Amity that Barkus knew she was Witch. For now, she was just going to enjoy the fact that she was at school with her first girlfriend, ever. Luz giggled every time she said that in her head. She still couldn't believe that she had a girlfriend, and that it was Amity of all people.

I wonder if Marcy ever got around to telling Anne how she felt? Oh, I hope she did and they're together. Wait a minute, if she did, then that means we could have an interdimensional double date! Luz thought.

As her mind dreamed of dates in the Human Realm, Amphibia, and in the Boiling Isles with her friends here, and the friends she made back in Amphibia, Luz made her way to the cafeteria where her friends and GF were waiting for her. Luz took her place next to Amity, who blushed in response, and honestly, Luz did, too.

"Yeah, we were like that the first time around, too," said Willow. "Right, Skara?"

"Totally, you'll get used to it and eventually stop looking like a couple of gorematoes," said Skara.

"Hey, I like gorematoe colored Amity!" Luz countered.

"Luz!" Amity whined in embarrassment.

Skara, Willow, and Gus laughed it up at Amity's expense, but it was good natured, so she didn't mind.

After lunch, Luz had Abominations for the remainder of the school day, which suited her just fine as it meant she could spend the rest of her day with Amity. Although Amity made it clear before they arrived at the classroom that Luz had to pay attention to the lessons and not stare at her or get lost in her eyes, Amity promised to do the same. Admittedly that was hard to do at first, Luz would look ahead at Professor Homunculus and listen to his lecture, but often times found her gaze drifting to the beautiful cotton-haired-goddess sitting right next to her.

Amity would blush but then push Luz's head back to where she was facing the front. Luz decided to shape up, if Amity could concentrate on the lesson and her work without acting like a lovesick fool, then so could she. Just another thing about her new girlfriend that she admired, despite knowing Amity felt like doing the same thing, the witch girl took her magic lessons seriously, so Luz decided she couldn't slack off either.

The school day ended without any major incidents aside from Boscha's little scene earlier that morning. And so far, the triclops had not made any attempts to mess with them. However, Amity believed it was just Boscha showing some modicum of courtesy towards them. Giving them a day to enjoy their newfound relationship until she eventually started to mess with them, again. But Amity was going make sure that didn't happen.

"So, what should we do to commemorate Luz and Amity's new relationship?" Gus asked.

"What?!" Luz and Amity exclaimed.

"Gus is right, we need to do something to celebrate both the fact that they're together, and the fact that I no longer have to twist myself into knots trying to keep Amity's secret," said Willow in a passive aggressive manner.

"You're never going to let me off the hook for that…are you?" Amity asked with dread.

Willow turned her head to Amity and smiled sweetly. "Not for the next ten years or so."

"Ugh…yeah, I kind of deserve that…" Amity lamented.

"Soooo, why don't we have a congratulatory/liberation party?!" Skara suggested.

Amity winced. "Ouch…Skara, really?"

Skara shot Amity a smile that was just as sweet as her girlfriend's. "I have to back my boo on this one. Especially when you didn't even bother to tell me about your secret crush on Luz."

Amity whined as she put her head on Luz's shoulder. "Luuuuzzz our friends are ganging up on meeeeeee!"

"Oh, shh, shh, there, there, hermosa. Déjame consolarte (I'll comfort you)," Luz cooed as she petted her girlfriend's head.

Oh, Titan help me. I love it when she uses that weird human language! Amity gushed.

"Hey, Luz, what do you call that language you use?" Amity asked.

"Oh, it's Spanish. There a many different languages in the Human Realm. And several different countries that speak it in my world," Luz explained.

Hmm, maybe there's a way I can learn that language?

"So, I'm up for that party idea! Party at the Owl House!" Gus announced.

Unfortunately, that happy line of thought was derailed by an explosion that went off in the distance, right where Bonesborough proper was. Everyone gasped upon witnessing the explosion, no doubt all coming to the same conclusion that it was Phantom related. The cutesy couple phase ended as soon as Luz and Amity saw it, shifting quickly into hero mode as they knew that the people needed them. Luz glanced at Gus, who nodded at his friend and drew two spell circles. Gus cast a spell that created two copies of Luz and Amity, and then covered both girls in a magical field that rendered them invisible by bending the light from them instead of physically turning them invisible. Now cloaked, Amity and Luz ran for the forest together and once they were out of range, the cloaking fell.

"Our first transformation as a couple," said Luz as she slipped her rings on.

"You're right, it is. Now, let's go out there and defend the people," said Amity.

[Driver On, Please.]

[Driver On.]

[Shabadoobi touch to henshin!
Shabadoobi touch to henshin!]

"Henshin!"

"Henshin!"

[Light, Please.]

[HI~KA~RI!]

[Roar of the heavens!]

[The Goddess Descends!]

Two magic circles appeared before the girls, both passed over them and transformed Amity and Luz into Kamen Riders Heka and Witch. The hero of hope swapped her Driver On ring and put on her Ride ring.

[Ride, Please.]

Another magic circle appeared, and from it came out the Witch Speeder. Witch mounted her vehicle and patted the back of it. "Need a ride?"

Heka chuckled. "Why, thank you, Witch."

The golden Rider got behind Witch, wrapping her left arm around her waist as Witch angled the Speeder and took off into the air, heading to Bonesborough at full speed. The two Riders looked down and saw a couple of buildings that were on fire.

"Let's put those fires first," said Witch.

[Ice, Please. ]

[Kkkkkkori~! Kkkkkkori~!]

A blue magic circle passed over them, transforming Witch into her Ice Style form.

[Freeze, Please.]

Witch pointed her right hand at the flames as they passed over them, releasing a blustering cold wind that smothered the flames and put them out. Witch switched back to Light Style once the flames were out, and both her and Heka jumped off the Speeder, landing in the middle of town square, ready to do battle with whatever Phantom had come to fight them. However, they probably were not prepared for this Phantom. A creature shrouded in shadows, with two sets of glowing red eyes, and a crimson red smile, this was the Phantom known as…

"Nuckelavee," said Witch.

"It has a name?! How did you know?!" Heka asked.

"There's a lot I need to tell you about, but it's perfect timing." Witch pointed at Nuckelavee and declared, "I'm going to put an end to all your evil, Nuckelavee! We'll dispel your darkness!"

"Heh-heh-heh…Come and try."

A/N: Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I started a poll asking a question: If you could pay anywhere between $1 to $10 to get early access to the chapters of my works, would you?

The poll ends at midnight tomorrow, and depending on the response, I might start a account to facilitate this. Just something I'm thinking about, you guys won't hurt my feelings either way if you choose no, and it will not affect the speed of which I write nor the quality of the chaps.

You can find it on my profile page.

Anyway, thank you!
