The Noceda household, home to Camila Noceda, and her daughter, Luz Noceda. Summer had ended a long time ago, and Luz had returned to her home a normal and cheerful young teen. She was happy with her life as it was now, that camp showed her a lot of what was considered to be normal, and Luz decided to take it to heart. Which was why she changed up her wardrobe not too long after returning. Now Luz wore a simple sky-blue hoody, with a yellow shirt, and charcoal gray pants. She combed down and straightened her hair, fixing with a couple of gold-colored barrettes.

She didn't want to change everything about her room, not at first. She didn't want her mother getting suspicious about her just automatically dumping out everything that she was once into. So, instead, she did it gradually. Little by little, over the months, changing her room to look less like an otaku den, and more like a sensible room for a newly minted sensible girl. Currently, Luz was clearing off the shelf of the last remnants of her past self. A swan made of tinfoil, an action figure of Azura, a dragon statue, and, well, she paused at the last item. It was a framed picture of herself from when she was younger, dressed in overalls, and holding a "Good Witch Azura" book in her left arm while holding up the action figure of the main character in her right.

But that was only a brief pause before she pushed all of those items into a box on the floor. The room was barren now, there were silhouettes on the walls, outlines of where posters were once hung. They were mostly of either Azura or anime related, both things that no longer interested the young Latina. Although it made the room feel empty, Luz didn't see it that way. If anything , she saw it as chance to fill it with new things that went along with her new interests.

"Ah! Much better," said Luz as she stretched.

Luz picked up the box and was about to head out with it but stopped to look at herself in the mirror. There was a stray hair out of place, so Luz pushed it back into place, nice and perfect. With that fixed, Luz headed downstairs and out the front door. As she exited the house, she spotted her mother, Camilla, getting out of her car.

"Welcome back, Mom," Luz greeted.

"Hi, Luz." Camila looked curiously at the box that her daughter was carrying. "What's with the box, mija?"

"Just cleaning up a little," she replied.

"Even this?" Camila reached into the box and took out the tinfoil swan. "You used to love making me tinfoil swans."

"Oh, yeah, I know. But I'm, uh, just looking for a fresh start," said Luz. "Camp taught me a lot, you know?"

Camila watched as her daughter placed the box near the trashcan. She noticed that Luz had been steadily cleaning out all the things she was once obsessed with. Anime stuff, Azura stuff, and other things that were fantasy related. Seeing this change in her daughter was…in all honesty…a bit saddening. "Yes, I can see that."

Just then, the two of them heard distressed squealing sounds coming from the woods. Camila and Luz ran into the woods behind their house, and that's when they noticed a white rabbit that was ensnared in a trap.

"Luz, grab the pliers," said Camila as she reached into her bag and pulled out a pair of gloves.

Luz hurriedly ran back to the house and found the pilers. She ran back as quick as she could and found her mother kneeling before the rabbit. The Latina handed her mother the pliers, stood back, and watched her work.

"Okay, okay, little bunny. You're gonna be alright," Camila assured it.

The rabbit ceased its struggling and calmed down. It was as if it could sense Camila's sincerity and kindness and was no longer afraid. Camila took the pliers and gently snipped the wire around the rabbit's leg.

"There we go."

Camila and Luz watched as the rabbit left, returning to its home.

"That's the fifth trap this week. Who could be doing this?" Luz wondered.

"I don't know, mija. But if I ever catch who's responsible, I'll – PA-POW!" Camila stated.

Luz couldn't help but giggle from her mother's declaration, and neither could Camila.

"Let's go back inside. I'll make maduros," said Camila.

Together, the mother and daughter entered the house. Camila went into the kitchen and began making the maduros she mentioned, while Luz headed upstairs to change into some comfortable clothes. A lot of things have happened in her life, a lot of things she would honestly love to forget. But now things were different, everything was different and new. A new look, a new outlook, a new home, and a mother who loved her.

"A new life, I can't believe it," said Luz.

Luz opened her closet and took out a shirt, but when she closed the door, she saw her reflection. However, this reflection was different. This version of her in the mirror had spikey hair, a purple cloak, two different rings on each of her fingers, and a mechanical owl perched on her right shoulder. Luz's eyes widened when she saw this other version of herself.

"YOU!"

"AAAAAAAAAAH!"

(10 MINUTES EARLIER…)

Despite the mishap at Eclipse Lake, it wasn't all for not. Thanks to Amity, they managed to get a bit of Titan's Blood. Although it was in the form of a stain on Amity's glove. But it was still Titan's Blood, even if it was a stain on an article of clothing, that did not decrease its potency. With the glove given to Luz, she went about reconstructing the portal door thanks to the instructions she found in a journal entry by Philip Wittebane. King, Hooty, and Eda were outside with her, this was a momentous event and everyone in the Owl House wanted to be present to see if this would work.

The construction of the door was…something. A pile of cinderblocks was used to prop up a door, a regular door. Around that door were various items that ranged from confusing to more confusing as to why they were chosen. Among the items was a stuffed lizard plushie that had its head replaced with a plastic doll's head, a fork for its right arm, and had a hanger going through its head. Another item was a large jar that contained the head of an Abomination, courtesy of Amity. A TV antenna with a skull pierced through it, two plastic bags filled with a strange liquid and a skull shaped item, two brooms in an "X" pattern, and something that looked like a waffle iron. There were at least eight sheets of paper taped onto the door, each one having a different part of a magical formula written down on them. And all of this was connected by a cable to Eda's tub boat.

"So, according to Philip's instructions, the hardest part to making a portal was finding someone who knew how to build it. But a lot of the ingredients are pretty easy to find. You're crazy apocalypse supplies finally came in handy, Eda," said Luz.

"Don't forget this," said King as he handed Luz the stained glove.

Luz carefully took the glove and held it with reverence. "Titan Blood. I can't believe something this powerful was inside the old key this whole time."

Eda and King glanced at each other, worry present upon their faces.

"It's okay. If Belos is still trying to get to the Human Realm, he'll have to beat me to it," said Luz.

The young Latina tore off a single finger of the glove and taped it to the door with the cable attached to it. Luz backed away and headed to Eda's tub boat, which was sitting on top of more cinderblocks, and outfitted into a makeshift generator. Eda was already inside it, waiting for Luz to give the go ahead.

"Are you sure this isn't gonna, like, blow our faces off?" Eda asked.

"Nope," Luz answered.

"Okay, are you sure you don't want to wait for Amity to come? She said she was going to," said Eda.

"I know, but I'm just too anxious. She'll understand, and if this works, she'll be elated!" Luz stated.

Eda shrugged. "Welp, here goes something."

The Owl Lady began to peddle, spinning up the fan blades. It didn't take long before a surge of magical energy was produced, sending it flowing along the cable and to the various items that it was connected to. The final destination of the energy was the piece of the blood-stained glove. And upon the energy infusing into that glove, the Titan's Blood reacted. Despite it being a small amount that soaked it, somehow, leaked amount onto the door was much, much more than a little. The Titan's Blood completely coated the door, and within seconds, the door absorbed the items around it, and began to change the structure of the door itself. After a few seconds, the door morphed into a crooked version of itself, with gray tinted brown coloring, and three different eyes. But then the door opened and revealed a rippling space.

"It worked…" Luz gasped.

"Did it? That looks really different from the old door," said King.

"I concur with the little demon. Compared to the original, this door looks…what was that word? Oh yes. This door looks janky."

"Yeah, you're both right on that, but this could be my one chance to see my Mom again." Luz turned around and took her witch's cloak from Eda.

Once she had, Luz slipped on her Driver and Light Style rings as she placed the former over the Hand Author Buckle.

[Shabadoobi touch to henshin!

"Henshin!"

[Light, Please.]

[HI~KA~RI!]

A yellow magic circle appeared below Luz and rose over her, transforming the young teen into Kamen Rider Witch.

"Just in case this doesn't work out. If things get hairy, I'll portal myself back here. And if the door looks as if it's going to close, pull me out," said Witch.

"Luz, let me be straight with you. As impressive as all of this is. I don't want you getting hurt," said Eda as she held the rope that would be Luz's literal lifeline.

Witch walked up to Eda and tied the rope around her waist above the WizarDriver. Afterwards she placed her right hand on the Owl Lady's left shoulder in a comforting manner. "I get it. I do. And I understand the risks. But I just want to make sure my Mom's okay and not having a mental breakdown because I disappeared. Once I've managed to make sure she's okay, I'll come right back."

Eda sighed and smirked at her apprentice. "Alright, alright. Just be careful. The Human Realm's filled with some real weirdos."

Witch smiled beneath her helmet and then enveloped everyone into a group hug.

"Don't' forget to mention me," said King.

Witch broke the hug and turned around to face the newly created door portal. "Here goes nothing." The hero of hope ran towards the door and jumped at it. The inside rippled like water as she disappeared into it, releasing a bright flash of light as she did.

Luz woke up coughing, as if she had been underwater for too long and had just now surfaced to get air. Once she managed to catch her breath, she paused. A strange cube rose out of the water around her and began floating up into the air. It was then that Luz noticed that there were multiple cubes floating about. She was not on Earth, nor was she in the Demon Realm. This was somewhere else. There were jagged canyon walls on either side of her, a pitch black

sky above, and a shallow river that cut through this eerie canyon.

"Did…Did I do something wrong? Whoa, wait a minute! Why am I back to my civilian form?! What happened to me?!" Luz asked.

"I'm not sure myself. You weren't the only one who was knocked out, Niña."

Luz's eyes widened, she heard La Lechuza's voice, but it was a lot closer than it usually was. She glanced to her right and that's when she saw her Inner Phantom, but she was no longer inside her, she was out, and standing about two feet tall. "LALA?!"

"What? Oh…Oh no…" La Lechuza realized just now that she was no longer inside of Luz's Underworld, she was instead in the Overworld, and of diminutive stature. "What sorcery is this?! Why am I so…so…small?!"

Luz knelt next to her Phantom companion and smiled as she said, "Awww! Te ves tan linda en este tamaño, Lala (You look so cute at this size, Lala)!"

The tiny Phantom looked up at Luz and pointed her wing at her. "¡No te atrevas a llamarme 'linda'! ¡Soy una criatura alada feroz (Don't you dare call me 'cute'! I am a fierce winged creature)! Ugh. Why do strange things like this happen so often around us?"

"Lucky, I guess?" Luz got up and started looking around. Left with little choice, La Lechuza flew up and perched herself on Luz's right shoulder. "Did I do something wrong when I came through? Or…was it how I made the door?"

La Lechuza looked around the strange space, it gave an eerie feeling, even for a Phantom like herself. It felt disconnected, like they were somewhere, and yet nowhere at the same time.

"Eda! King! Hooty! Can you hear me?!" Luz cried out.

No sooner had Luz mentioned those names did a new cube form. But unlike the others, this one remained stationary. As if it wanted to be seen by her. Cautiously, Luz walked towards the floating cube.

"Don't you dare, touch it," La Lechuza warned.

"C'mon, Lala, it looks harmless enough," Luz retorted.

"If anything of our time on that corpse island should've taught you, is that the 'cute' and 'harmless' things often turn out to be the thing you need to run away from."

"Point taken, but we need to explore while we can. Maybe this place is a stopping point before we get to the Human Realm. So, with that in mind, I'm touching it!"

She placed her hands on either side of it, and when she did, the side facing her turned an amber color and released a flash of light.

Luz and La Lechuza found themselves no longer in that strange world, but back in the Demon Realm somehow. "Are…Are we back at the Owl House? But how?"

Suddenly a gust of wind blew and opened the window. Luz yelped when this occurred, and La Lechuza gave surprised squawk as the widow swung back and forth, but when it did, Luz and La Lechuza were not standing behind the window, they were in the window. When the window closed, Luz understood her current predicament.

"I think we're in the reflection!"

Luz looked across the way and spotted her Owl family still waiting in front of the janky portal door, keeping a tight grip on the lifeline.

"Do you think she's safe?" King asked, worriedly.

"She made it this far. We just have to trust her," said Eda, no less worried than King.

Luz released the cube and returned back to the strange world. "Okay, so, these cubes allow us to see things in the Demon Realm, but only through reflections."

"Just when I thought the Demon Realm was a strange place, you manage to find a new world that's strange on a different level. Bravo, Niña. Bravo."

"I wonder if we can see anyone we want. Maybe…I could see…Amity."

Another cube rose out of the water before her. Luz debated on whether or not to look, but in the end, she decided to look.

Luz and La Lechuza suddenly found themselves in a mirror. Where this mirror was located was unknown to them, but after a moment, it was VERY CLEAR where this mirror was located. This mirror just so happened to be in the bathroom of the Blight household, and in said bathroom, they found Amity taking a bath with pink soap bubbles covering the top layer of the water. Which was the only thing keeping Luz from completely dying from blood loss as she was able to get a good look at the bare shoulders, arms, and collar bone area of her girlfriend.

"Who's an awesome girlfriend? I'm an awesome girlfriend! Ha-ha!" Amity giggled. "I can't wait to see Luz make that portal door!"

Amity leaned back and stretched out her leg a bit to scrub it. That long, slender, pale leg…

Luz ripped herself away from the cube and tossed it as far as she could into the vastness of this strange world. Her face was bright red, and her nose had a trickle of blood coming out of it. She glanced over to La Lechuza and could practically see the smirk on her face.

"Well, well, well. Niña, I know you and Amity are an item now, but you really shouldn't be invading your mate's privacy like that," she teased.

"We will never speak of this to Amity, or Bast, or anyone. We take this to our graves!" Luz stated.

"No need to be so dramatic. I hear it's quite common for young mortals like yourself to be curious about–"

"WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS ANYMORE! I SAW NOTHING! YOU SAW NOTHING, JUST A BIG HEAP OF NOTHING!" Luz yelled, panting from the effort.

"Fine, fine. We shall speak of it no more."

Luz sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Focus, Luz. If we can see people in the Demon Realm, then maybe we can see people in the Human Realm. This cube system seems to work by names, so…Camila! Camila Noceda of the Human Realm?"

She waited for the cube to rise, but it didn't.

La Lechuza jumped off Luz's right arm and began flying around but stuck close by just in case. As she flew, the Owl Phantom saw something above them. "Look up."

Luz did as La Lechuza asked and that's when she saw a cube that was already present, with one side of its surface glowing bright amber. "Gotcha!" Luz decided to change back into Rider form and switched the Hand Author on the Driver. "Huh?" There was no jingle. Luz put on her Connect ring and placed the ring over the Hand Author, but there was no scanning announcement. She switched it back to the other side to go into Light Style, but it was the same. "What's going on?"

"Niña, use your glyphs, I want to see something."

Luz took out her Ice Glyph and pressed it against the water as she cried, "Ice platform!" But when she did, the glyph fizzled out and was swallowed by the water. "What is going on?!"

"Just as I suspected."

"What do you mean?" Luz asked.

"Your magic glyphs, they are products of the Demon Realm, of the Boiling Isles. While I may act as a mana battery, all your rings' powers were forged from glyph magic. This is similar to that time when we fought Lilith and were thrown through the portal door. Do you remember?"

Luz did remember. Back during the petrification, she got enraged and attacked Lilith. The two of them stumbled through the portal door and ended up back on Earth. But when they did arrive, Luz's Rider form disappeared. Not only that, but when she used her glyphs, they fizzled out into ash.

"So, wherever we are, it's definitely far from the Demon Realm, and because we're cut off from it, we can't use our magic," said Luz.

"Better to have figured this out now rather than later at a crucial moment."

"True, but with that mind. I'll just have to get to that cube the hard way," said Luz.

Another cube rose out of the water, a big one. Luz quickly latched onto it, and let it carry her up into the air. La Lechuza flew alongside Luz as they steadily ascended. Unfortunately, once they reached the halfway point of the canyon, gravity decided to invert itself, and Luz instead of going up, instead found herself falling down. The Latina cried out in surprise as she plopped into the shallow water below. La Lechuza was thrown off by the inversion as well but was able to correct herself and avoid a splash down. Thankfully, Luz appeared to be alright.

"As always, Luz, it's a pleasure watching you work," La Lechuza remarked.

Some bubbles floated up from the water, and a grumbling sound came from Luz. The Latina pulled herself back up, La Lechuza landed on her shoulder again, and once she was back on her feet Luz immediately grabbed the cube that glowed for her earlier.

Luz and La Lechuza found themselves appearing in the reflection of Camila's cellphone, which was attached to a combination charger and stereo. "It's my house." Luz looked around and saw her mother as she opened the fridge and then turned around in her direction. "Mom!"

Camila was busy dancing to the music that was playing from her phone, humming, as she closed her eyes and swayed to the tune.

Luz was so happy to see her, she forgot how much she missed seeing her mother hum and dance while in the kitchen. She felt her eyes watering, it had been months since she destroyed the portal door, and now she was finally able to see her mother, not just a picture or a video in her phone, but the real living, breathing thing.

"Mom!"
"Mom! Do you need any help?"

Luz paused. Did I just hear my voice echo?

The answer to that question came in the form of, well, herself appearing in the archway of the kitchen. But it was not the her who was in the reflection. This version had straighter hair that wasn't as wild as her own. She wore a plain looking hoody, yellow shirt, and charcoal gray pants.

"What…am I seeing right now…?" Luz asked, still stunned.

"I am just as confused as you are," La Lechuza confessed.

"Oh, are you almost done cleaning your room?" Camila asked.

"Almost," Other Luz answered. "With all that stuff gone, I feel like a whole new person."

"E-Eeeeeevil doppelganger! Evil doppelganger! Mom! Mom, she's a fake! Get away from her!" Luz warned as she banged on the glass.

Unfortunately, her mother could not hear her.

"I can finish up here, mija. Go ahead and keep at it and I'll tell you when they're done," said Camilla.

"Thanks, Mom!"

Other Luz started running out of the kitchen and the vision ended.

Luz began to panic a bit. "What's going on here?! Who was that?!"

"Is it possible that we viewed an alternate universe? Don't forget, we did meet that one Rider, Tsukasa, who took us through that in-between space that allowed us to catch glimpses of other Kamen Rider worlds. Perhaps this is the same thing? We caught a glimpse of a world where you did get on that bus and went to camp?" La Lechuza suggested.

"We can't know that for sure! If that is the case, then fine. But if not, my Mom's living with an imposter! What if it's a Phantom that managed to get to Earth somehow?!" Luz argued.

La Lechuza had to admit, that was a possibility.

Luz turned her attention back to the cube as she gave it orders, "Follow her!" The cube did not. "Right, uh, Luz Noceda 2.0! Doppelganger?! Why won't you work?!"

La Lechuza smacked Luz upside the head with her wing, causing the Latina to go "ow" upon receiving the hit. "Calm yourself down, Luz. Getting worked up will not do us any good."

"Y-You're right, you're right. Okay, just calm down. Breathe, and count to five."

For some reason, a new cube rose from the water and glowed amber. Luz and La Lechuza were not sure why it appeared, especially when Luz didn't even say a name. Nevertheless, Luz approached it and placed her hands on either side of the cube.

They were now looking at nothing, except their own reflection. However, that changed when she heard the voice of the doppelganger. That's when the image changed as the doppelganger slid something closed and now both Luz and her imposter were staring each other face-to-face.

"YOU!"

"AAAAAAAAAAH!" the imposter screamed.

"So, you can hear me," said Luz.

"Y-You're from the Demon Realm," said the imposter, her voice suddenly changing completely.

"Listen, I just want to–"

The imposter's eyes blinked, but instead of her eyelids blinking in a horizontal manner, they blinked vertically. The imposter had a panicked expression on her face and breathed heavily as her eyes darted around the room. "I'm not going back!" That's when she saw the red baseball bat on the floor. The imposter quickly picked up the bat and yelled, "I WON'T GO BACK!"

"Luz, ¿está todo bien (Luz, is everything okay)?" Camila asked from behind the door.

The imposter stopped before she could smash the mirror, knowing that it would only cause more chaos than it would solve. Luz looked between her imposter and the door to her old room and decided to help out.

"¡Si Mamá! I just saw a spoiler from 'Monster Slayer Academia'!"

There was a moment of silence before Camila answered, "I will never understand anime." Both girls waited and listened as Camila's footsteps receded from the door, leaving them alone.

"Oookay, now, how about we have a nice little–"

The imposter dropped the bat and bolted for the open window.

"WAIT!"

Without a second thought, Other Luz jumped through the window, and landed on the ground without any injury. Other Luz jumped over the fence and made her way into the woods. She looked around, trying to find a place to hide, and that's when she spotted the old house out back. The very same house that Luz left through all those months ago. Other Luz ran into the house and caught her breath for a moment, but then she saw a compact mirror on the floor and the real Luz appeared in it. Other Luz sighed, there was no outrunning this.

"So…this is it? I'm gonna have to run, again? Why couldn't this just work out!" Other Luz shouted.

She kicked a rock out of frustration, but then the rock she kicked hit something, and without realizing it, the imposter set off a trap. Another wire trap had been set up, but this time inside the house. Other Luz realized too late that her foot was inside the loop as it tightened around her left ankle and brought her to the floor. Other Luz panicked as she thrashed about on the floor, and when she did, the façade finally fell. Her body morphed quickly, transforming into some kind of half snake, half humanoid creature.

Her face was round with wide eyes and a turned-up nose. A catlike mouth in the shape of a "W" with two small teeth poking out from her bottom jaw. Her scales were a pale, swamp-green, with cream-colored spots on her head, tail, underbelly, and the bottom half of her face. There were tufts of navy-blue hair on her head, neck, and ears. Her eyes consisted of yellow-gold pupils, black irises, and aqua sclera. She also had off-white tufts of hair on the sides and tip of her tail.

The creature kept thrashing around in a panic, feeling as if her entire world was about to come crashing down on her, and that this was the result of it all.

"Hey! Calm down! Stop moving or you'll just make it tighter."

The creature stopped her thrashing and cautiously looked at the compact mirror where Luz was.

"I didn't mean to freak you out, I'm sorry. I got a little freaked out myself and went off a bit," said Luz.

"Not that you're unjustified in feeling that way," said La Lechuza.

"Anyway, I just want to figure out what's going on, okay? You're a demon from the Boiling Isles, aren't you?"

The creature, still cautious, morphed back into the form of Luz, but it was a partial transformation as her original ears were still present, along with her eyes, and some white spots on her face and hands. Timidly, the creature nodded and went, "Mm-hmm."

"Okay, so, what's your name?"

"I'm Number Fi – I-I mean, I'm Vee," she responded.

"Cool, Vee. Now, I'm gonna help free you," said Luz.

Vee looked at Luz with disbelief. "You…You want to help me? Even after what you saw?"

"Believe me, it's better to just accept this selfless kindness. Otherwise, she'll just keep at it."

Luz rolled her eyes, and said, "Now, back up a bit. Give the wire some slack."

Vee nodded and did as Luz instructed, backing up and allowing the wire to loosen a tad.

"Now look for a little metal thingamabob. Uh…Sorry, I don't know what it's called."

Vee looked back at her leg and saw a metal latch that kept the wire secured into its loop. The young demon carefully gripped the latch and wire and pulled to the left and right respectively. As she did, the loop widened quickly, allowing Vee to pull out her leg.

"There you go. Nice and easy."

Vee backed away from the wire trap and rubbed the spot that the wire wrapped around. "T-Thank you." The young demon girl sniffled a bit and hugged her legs to her chest as she glanced at the compact mirror. "You must be Camila's real daughter? And, who or what is that little owl creature on your shoulder? Is that your Palisman?"

"Hardly, I'm much more powerful than any Palisman," said La Lechuza in a haughty tone.

"That's a complicated and very involved story. Let's just say that a lot has happened on the Boiling Isles. But right now, I want to know about you. Like, who are you and why are you pretending to be me?" Luz asked.

A forlorn look appeared on Vee's face. "I'm just looking for a place to belong…"

Luz's expression changed to one of empathy when she heard the sad tone in Vee's voice, while La Lechuza looked curious.

"Y-You were missing, and Mom–" Vee cut herself off, remembering that Camila was not her mother, she was Luz's. "I mean, Camila, seemed so kind, and so…I stayed with her." As hard as it was to say what came next, Vee knew it was the right thing to do. "Look, I-I'm sorry for impersonating you. If you want me to leave, just say the word and I'll–!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold up, Vee. Maybe we can help each other!"

"What?"

"What?"

"Today I was going to tell my Mom where I've been and what's happened here. But because of you, she hasn't realized I've been missing!"

Vee's ears perked up a little as she said, "Wait…y-you're not saying…what I think you're saying, are you?"

"Oh, I am! Vee, you can take my place! For now. Look, like I said, there's a lot of things going on here on the Isles, and right now I can't really leave it the way it is. But, since you're there, Mom never has to worry about me, 'cause you'll be there!" Luz suggested.

"Niña, you can't be serious!" La Lechuza squawked. "We still know very little about this creature, or how exactly she got here to begin with."

Luz rubbed her right ear and replied, "Okay, first: Ow! Second: I just got confirmation that this is the same Earth I'm from, and that was my biggest concern. If Vee's there Mom won't have to worry. And when I eventually make it back, I can introduce her to the Demon Realm, and help you find a place to live!"

Vee was a bit shocked to hear that this human girl, who she had been impersonating for months, was willing to allow her to continue with the impersonation. She figured that Luz would be angry, and demand that she stop, but could it really be this easy? Well, unfortunately for her, no.

"We do have one problem…" Vee used her left hand to tug at her unchanged left ear. "I need magic to transform and, uh…" Vee blushed in embarrassment as he admitted, "I just used up the last of it when I freaked out back there…"

"Ooh, yeah, that is a problem. Uh, let me think." Luz scrunched her face as she thought about a solution, and that's when she saw the possible solution to their problems. "There! That's where we can get some magic."

Vee looked to where Luz was pointing and grabbed the newspaper. "Um, 'The Secrets of Gravesfield'?"

"No, no. That's junk. Turn it over."

Vee turned the newspaper around which showed a picture of Eda with a bandanna around her head to hide her ears. There were also some deserts that were attacking the people. "'Strange Woman Banned from Café'?"

"I see Eda's gotten up to her usual antics even on Earth," said La Lechuza.

"Eda?" Vee asked.

"Yep, Eda the Owl Lady. She's been coming here for years. She might've left some magic stuff behind! It's a long shot, but it's all we got for right now," said Luz.

Vee got up and nodded, it wasn't as if there were any alternatives at the moment. She had no more magic stored up, and she was half transformed into Luz, there was no way she could stay like this. "Okay, let's do it then."

The young demon took the compact mirror and walked out of the abandoned house. Unbeknownst to Vee, Luz, and La Lechuza, there was a camera hidden in the upper corner of the ceiling, and it had been recording.
