"YOU'RE WHAT!"

Shock, confusion and possibly even more shocked washed over Weiss and Blake's faces as they tried to process what they had just heard.

Pyrrha Nikos and Adam Taurus…husband and wife.

"WHAT! HOW! WHEN!" where all words that simultaneously where spoken by both Blake and Weiss. Pyrrha simply giggled and stepped forwards towards the pair, looking upon them with forlorn eyes, as if she hadn't seen the pair in ages. Which was accurate.

"It's so good to see you both again, even if you aren't the ones that I remembered" Pyrrha said to them before enveloping both of them in an embrace.

The two teammates were stunned, seeing their dead friend again after all this time was a weird feeling they had no way of reacting to this admittedly odd situation. But regardless all the same they embraced her back, feeling a bit of familiarity in this otherwise unknown world.

"I'll get more tea. You three have a lot to catch up on" Adam noted with a smile.

More tea was made and the four of them had taken a seat at the table to discuss the happenings they had found themselves in. Though the first question Weiss asked above all else was the clear and direct.

"So how did you two well…end up…"

The married couple blushed and Pyrrha was the one that started the story "well after Beacon I sort of started to wonder aimlessly. My team was in shambles after…" Weiss knew exactly what she was referring too but didn't pry any further, instead allowing Pyrrha to finish her story. "Well anyways during my travels I came across Adam, he was riddled with guilt and shame for his actions and wanted to reform the White Fang into what it once was, a peaceful organization fighting for the rights of the Faunus. So I helped him and one thing led to another and…"

"Do you remember my proposal darling?" Adam asked joyfully.

Pyrrha giggled "oh yeah you thought it be romantic to propose on a frozen river. You almost contracted hypothermia from that!"

The couple laughed and held each other's hand. Weiss saw Blake turn her face away for just a brief moment, sensing her awkwardness at seeing her former lover, albeit a different less extreme and less murderous version of her former lover with another woman, that woman being a different version of their fallen friend.

"Well…I'm glad you two found each other but well…I don't suppose you can help us find our way back home."

Pyrrha shook her head regrettably "unfortunately even though I can sense other worlds I have no way of knowing how to travel in between them."

"The good news is that we at least found you so you are safe here with us. We don't know how others would react to the sudden return of the Ice Queen, even if you're not her. Her absence has given us the ability to at least fight back against her forces."

Blake suddenly stood up "I'm sorry I just…I need some fresh air" she said and left hurriedly out of the tent. Weiss gave a worried glance across the table to the pair. Adam sighed, running his hand through his hair.

"I need to ask. Her and my other self where they…a thing.."

Weiss gave a stiff nod "yeah and no offense but he was kind of a psycho. According to Blake he became the very thing he hated."

Adam sighed again, his scarred face showing a concerned look "I figured. I have no idea what kind of things he did but…it almost sounds like on your world the inverse occurred of what happened here."

"Uhm what?" Weiss asked confused.

Pyrrha softly touched her husband's hand and he gave her a quick reassuring look before he continued "Blake…my Blake. She went off the deep end. She returned to me after she had gone off to Beacon, ready to continue the White Fang's plans. But she had changed. She had become angry and vindictive, it all came to a boiling point when she tried to hold an entire busload of innocent human children hostage. Children…."

He banged his fist on the table "I tried to talk her out of it, this went too far. But she scoffed at me for becoming so weak and then….then she left and I haven't seen her since. I don't know what she's been doing but I failed her…"

Pyrrha placed her hands on his face and softly told him to keep calm and reassured him that he was enough "you didn't fail her Adam. You tried your best and she decided her own path, and as did you and I assure you it was the right path."

She gave him a quick kiss and it reminded Weiss of her own kiss with Jaune months ago. But that memory stirred in her a question she long had no answer too until today at least.

"Pyrrha? What happened….what happened with the Jaune of this world…"

Pyrrha's face fell. Now instead of her comforting Adam he was comforting her saying "it's okay my darling. I'm here…"

Pyrrha gulped heavily and Weiss felt guilty asking her about a clearly difficult thing to talk about. She was about to ask that she didn't need to tell but nevertheless she started.

"I…I…I couldn't save him. It all went so fast, that Beowulf got to him so quickly…I…wasn't fast enough…"

Tears where streaming down her face. Adam wrapped his hand around her shoulder for support and Weiss could sense the despair from across the table. She had only heard little things about why her doppelganger was so obsessed with their Jaune, because she lost hers.

"It's all my fault….if I had been quicker…then maybe Weiss would never have…" Pyrrha cried, her tear soaked eyes staring directly at Weiss.

"She blamed me. Said it was my fault that he had died and…she wasn't wrong….it destroyed her. She attacked me as she left Beacon….she was right…she was right about everything…"

"She wasn't darling," Adam reassured "what happened was tragic but there was only so much you could do."

Pyrrha broke down in her husbands arms. The memory proving a bit too much for her, Weiss excused herself for a moment, feeling guilty about bringing it up. She had a clearer picture but she didn't think it was worth making Pyrrha cry. So instead she simply walked away out of the tent, leaving the two be.

Blake was sitting next to a tree. Her head buried in her arms.

None of the White Fang members outside bothered her, likely realizing that she wanted to be left alone. Everything was now such a weird and uncertain blur and seeing Adam, not her Adam Adam all the same with someone else, it kind of stung. Part of her was happy he had found happiness in some way but it still felt like a needle was penetrating her heart, pricking ever so slowly and torturously.

"Blake are you okay?" she heard.

She looked up and saw Weiss standing there. Blake quickly wiped the tears away from her eyes and said "yeah it's just. It's all so weird seeing him again and married to Pyrrha….I knew the multiverse was going to show me weird things but this…"

"Yeah. Who would've imagined we would see the day that Adam Taurus and Pyrrha Nikos would marry" Weiss said half-jokingly as she sat down next to Blake and they both observed the dense forest they where in for a while.

Blake giggled at that "yeah…but I suppose it's good to see Adam fighting for a good cause even though there doesn't seem to be an opposing force now that crazy you isn't here."

"Yeah you're right and…." Weiss stopped mid-sentence as a sudden realization hit her. Her doppelganger indeed wasn't here but someone else had just arrived.

As quickly as she had sat down she had stood back up and ran back towards the camp. "Weiss where are you going!" Blake yelled after her.
