End the Goblin
The final battle between the true Green Goblin and the two lovers is more than many things are revealed. Do not own Spectacular Spider-Man.
In New York….
There was a hunt.
From the police whose cars were burning rubber into the night, to a helicopter soaring into the air by two Osborns, and within the city where two young heroes are pitted against a heartless monster of green and madness. His cackles rock the still air and bring fear to all who listen to his shrieking voice. Pumpkin bombs exploded all around the city that never sleeps as the people were forced to run from this dastardly villain! Spider-man and Molten Man were not too far behind, ready to capture the fiend and identify whoever it truly was behind the mask.
"Pete, thank goodness you're here. I need your help with something!" Harry squeaked as he brought his desktop.
"Harry, we also need to talk-."
"It's about the Green Goblin, right?"
Peter's breath suddenly stopped while he let Harry tug him away. His friend looked shaken and deeply disturbed by some realization. The young Osborn popped up his laptop and began to turn it on while typing out the password to enter.
"Pete, I know there have been recent Goblin sightings and I know you might think it's me." Harry began while he was typing.
"Harry-."
But Harry raised his hand to keep him from speaking any further.
"I began to worry about that myself, but I never even touched the green since coming back and I haven't gone done that path. But someone has."
Peter's eyes opened a little bit more.
"What do you mean?" Peter wondered.
"See for yourself."
Harry hopped off while Peter entered the recordings of the Oscorp security system. Peter watched the systems, seeing a mysterious figure slinking in and out of rooms… taking Goblin Weapons, Goblium Green, and all the while Harry slept in his room. Peter then witnessed someone taking out a costume, the Green Goblin Costume!
Peter gasped in shock.
"This is worse than I thought. Mark, you might want to get over here." Peter shuddered as the loyal and loving Molten Man came to his side.
The newest superhero rushed to his love to see what was happening and gasped in horror.
"Looks like someone else is taking up the mantle of Goblin. Someone knows about the Gobulum Green and has been taking vast amounts. He's also been doing heists around Oscorp for the old gear." Peter informed as he bit his knuckle with worry.
It was deeply concerning.
"What are we going to do?" Mark questioned his beloved with worry in his voice.
"I know what we can do." Harry proudly announced to the group, "We catch the Goblin."
Harry was watching with his father as Spider-man and Molten Man were closing in on the Goblin.
"Alright, Greeny, I can see you taken up the cup as the Goblin. I want to know why." Spider-man demanded as he tried to strike but missed.
"Oh, Little Spider, think you know so much but it only proves that you only know nothing, even about yourself!" The Green Goblin cackled as he tried to grab Peter but was forced to dodge by the fireballs of his partner!
"Don't you dare lay a finger on him!" Mark snarled with fire steaming from his body!
"That isn't nice to talk to your benefactor, for both of you. After all, know it or not I created you two!" The Goblin proudly proclaimed, "One to be my servant and one to give me power!"
"You created us? That's a laugh!" Peter scoffed as they continued to fight, everyone watching with excitement.
But as they continued to fight more and more, the truth was soon revealed, Peter managed to pull the mask and underneath it… was Norman Osborn. Then in his demented mind, he revealed more that there was only ever one goblin, that it was him all the time, and he even used his own son to get what he wanted.
"YOU HURT HARRY!" Peter boomed with fury, suddenly growing talons without knowing it and slashing Norman's side.
"I was making a man out of him, making him ready for his role! Like I am with you! You don't even know what you are becoming!" Norman sneered at the boy.
"And you do?"
"Of course. Why do you think I had that spider bite you? I know you would be the chosen."
"What?!"
"I made you what you are, Parker! Your destiny was to be my triumph and soon the elixir of life will be mine!" The Goblin snarled, "Capturing me will do nothing but bring trouble to you and your lover! If I am caught, your identity will be known and there will be nowhere to run!"
Mark heard enough as he managed to knock Osborn out of the air, causing him to tumble to the ground and hit the wall, bruised but alive. He was surrounded by cops, heroes, and a confused and shocked son with the fake Osborn. Everyone was stunned by the realization, wide eyes and gaping mouths could be seen everywhere.
How could this be?
The industrialist was a villain all along. No one could believe it as Spider-man and Molten hopped in front of the police.
"It's over, Norman." Spider-man breathed, both he and his boyfriend bruised and weakened.
Captain Stacy approached all three.
"Norman Osborn, you are under arrest. Surrender now and there will be no trouble." The Chief of Police ordered as the police was move in to arrest him.
But the goblin still had a few tricks up his sleeves. With the press of a button, a glider roared back to life and took to the air! Blades appeared as they were coming towards Molten Man and Captain Stacy! Only Spider-man could sense it in time!
"LOOK OUT!" He howled as he pushed his boyfriend and the captain out of the way of the glider, earning a deep cut on his side!
But the Glider did not stop as it pinned Osborn to the wall!
"DAD!" Harry howled at the sight!
"SPIDER-MAN!" both Stacy and Molten Man yelled as Peter was unconscious and badly wounded.
"He saved their lives…" One of the Police muttered with surprise.
"Call an Ambulance! Now!" DeWolff ordered as the police were looking after the two patients.
Both were taken to the hospital, one survived and resting with praise.
The other died.
