Chapter 1: Introduction

"Do you believe in gravity?" asked Shido Itsuka, a seemingly normal 16 year old student, studying at the Raizen High School, who many thought of as, was a truly well behaved and respectable young man.

The girl in front of his stare was none other than Kurumi Tokisaki (codename 'Nightmare') who was also studying in the same class as him and who was also a Spirit (called the Third Spirit and also the Worst Spirit, since she was rumored to have killed 10,000 people). She was around the same age as Shido and was a good acquaintance to talk to.

She replied, "Yes, I do. Why do you ask, Shido-san?" Shido only turned and faced the window through which the moon shone, its light illuminating the dark room, in silence. His bare upper body almost looked like a Roman sculpture. Perfectly proportioned muscles and bones made themselves prominent and he had a mysteriously scary yet an extremely comforting aura emanating from him. Even Kurumi who had immense power herself, was intimidated but didn't let any of her feelings show outwards. However, she had an almost uncontrollable desire to just submit to him, as if he were a guardian and would just protect her, no matter what. Shido had such an aura which both scared and attracted people due to its mysterious comforting nature.

He turned around so that only his right side of his face and body was visible and smiled kindly yet deviously and spoke ever so softly, "I believe we are all attracted by that very same gravity and fated to go on a journey, so bizarre that it would not make any sense and yet, it is what makes us strong enough to reach our goals."

Many saw him as a normal person who was ready to help his fellow schoolmates, he also almost always stays clear of any stupid fights, and was also intelligent enough to stop fights if he was ever dragged into one.

He wakes up at 6:00 am and since his parents are always working, he makes lunch for himself and for his little sister, Kotori Itsuka (who secretly loved him but never expressed it due to her shyness). Then he always walks her halfway to school, as any good elder brother would. Kotori is held quite dear by Shido because she always seemed so happy whenever he was nearby and also since she was family.

By 8:00 am, he is in school, talking with his friend and confidant, Hiroto Tonomachi. They have been best friends since a long time and had lots of fun together.

From the first bell to the last bell, he was always listening to the teacher, never did his attention waver nor did he disturb the class. That being said, Hiroto was actually not like Shido at all, study-wise. He was a messy student and almost never finished his homework on time.

Fortunately, Shido always helped him. You could always see Hiroto asking Shido for help while studying some subjects or literally begging for his homework so he could copy it down in his notebook. The latter would question his life decisions because Hiroto's situation was always quite comically pathetic.

He was a good student, in all senses of the word. However, one thing peculiar about him was that apparently he had no interest in girls. No, really. He never showed any kind of infatuation with any girl in his class, nor did he have any kind of a crush. He was somewhat disinterested and neutral in these matters.

Hiroto, on the other hand, wanted to try proposing to any and every girl in the school. Well, one could say he was quite desperate for some kind of companionship. That changed around some weeks ago when he installed an app which was a simulation of dating a virtual girlfriend. He always talks about his "girlfriend" and spends a lot of his money on new accessories and outfits for his virtual companion.

Shido always returns home around 5:30 pm and takes a long bath to relieve himself and to refresh his mind. At 6:00 pm, he changes his clothes and sits down in front of the television and watches his favourite anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" with his sister. Shido and Kotori both loved the show a lot, since they were watching it since their childhood. The show held a lot of fond memories for the two of them. It taught them a lot of things about the world, about new kinds of philosophy that existed and also about the different types of people that one could encounter in real life.

Personally, Shido loved Part 2: Battle Tendency and Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. Kotori, on the other hand, loved Part 3 and Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable. The brother and sister duo bonded over this show, a lot. Their parents didn't think much about the show because it was honestly quite crazy, even for anime shows. At 7:30 pm, he switches the TV off and quite literally drags Kotori out of the couch, because she really doesn't want to leave the couch and wants to finish the show. But Shido, being a responsible elder brother, persuades her to start studying.

At 9:00 pm, they finish studying for the day and they literally devour their dinner. Kotori goes back to her own room and does what she does (typical middle-schooler stuff, I don't know).

Shido studies philosophy, tradition and culture around the world and also casually pores over some old books as well. And yes, he also reads the manga of JoJo time to time, whenever he feels bored and "out of it". At 10:00, he stretches his body for around 20 minutes and after drinking a warm glass of milk (or some water if the household was out of milk), he sleeps soundly until 6:00 am the next morning, like a baby. He wakes up feeling no fatigue or discomfort whatsoever. This is Shido Itsuka's daily routine for the last five years, i.e., around the end of his elementary school days.

He was a normal student who was studious and serious about his academic performance, a responsible, loving and caring brother, a good friend who always helps in the time of need, a good son of the Itsuka household, a good citizen of Tenguu city and last but not the least, he was on everyone's good side. Everybody liked him being around.

But this is not his story. Not unless you include the part where he discovered his power.

A/N: Hello, this has been Shido's World: Chapter 1. This is a take on what if Shido obtained the power of The World (Dio's Stand). This is also a Shido × Kurumi fanfiction, because I personally believe both of them were made for each other. Requests will also be considered. Spoiler alert if you still didn't watch or read JoJo. Spoil yourself at your own risk.

This is my first time writing a fanfiction, so constructive advice will be appreciated. The first chapter might have been dull, but this was only because I tried to make a reference to Yoshikage Kira's monologue about his own daily routine. Thank you once again~~
