AN: Hello everyone, this is my first time writing for both Chloe and Zoe! :D I know a lot of people tend to fight over who is better, so I decided to play nice and give them both a story they both deserve. :)

Loosely inspired by the Mark Twain story "The Prince and the Pauper" and even the Barbie adaptation "The Princess and the Pauper."

I should also note that this takes place in an AU so if things are or act a little different, then my apologies. I hope to not make Chloe too OOC once the story progresses. She'll still be nasty, but not as nasty as the show makes her out to be. Like, she'll still be arrogant, but have some nice moments too.

I hope you all enjoy. ^^

Chapter 1: Two Girls, One Dream: The Story of Chloe Bourgeois and Zoe Lee

Years ago, there were two very different girls born on the same day, but in two different parts of the world.

In Paris, France, there was one girl named Chloe Bourgeois who was born to a husband and wife by the names of Andre and Audrey. Both parents were extremely successful as Andre was a politician, being Paris's mayor after all; meanwhile Audrey spent her occupation being a fashion designer all around the world. With everything she always desired and wanted, the young rich girl lived a happy and joyful life. With that being said, Chloe was known as "Queen Bee" due to her privileged, wealthy life. However, even Chloe herself knew that growing up rich and successful wasn't always the way to go.

Once in a while, Chloe was chosen as the bee hero by Paris's superhero, Ladybug to help her defeat either akumatize villains, amorkize sentimonsters, or even both created by the evil Hawk Moth and Mayura. Inspired by her childhood nickname, she chose to call herself: Queen Bee while on her missions. However, due to the importance of hero identity, no one in Paris ever found out who was really wearing the stripes under the mask. Some thought it was a coincidence; others believed they were two different people. Either way, Chloe preferred the life of a superhero rather than a rich girl. She felt free and confident whenever the miraculous was on her and when she shouted the command to transform.

Meanwhile in New York City, United States, there lived a single father with a beautiful baby girl named Zoe Lee. Mr. Lee, however, was poor and could only live off as much as he could. Living off a one bedroom condo, he made most of his income by doing street performances with his daughter, but even he knew it wasn't enough. Until one day, he realized that he was going into debt and needed a way to fix it. Desperate for the money, he meant and begged a lady who had the money he needed and promised to pay her back.

The lady, although selfish as a fairytale witch, agreed to do so, but on one condition: his daughter had to work for her once she got older. With no other plans, Mr. Lee reluctantly agreed and thus, Zoe began to grow up under the cruel lady's care without a proper home, no families, or even friends to be with. In the end, she was then known as the "Vesperia" or the "Wasp." Why, because who on Earth wants to be around a wasp when they were nothing but a pest she thought to herself. Even the lady's contributors all saw her as nothing but a "wasp."

Both girls really did seem different in both social hierarchy and privileged life, but as different as they were, and before they could meet each other, both Chloe and Zoe had one wish: To be free.

With Chloe, while she was in love with the advantages and disadvantages wealth came with, she preferred her life as a superhero due to how stress-inducing and busy it was; especially when it came to her parents.

"Daddy's always in his office making new laws for the city, and mommy's always making new clothes," the rich blonde pouted to herself as she sat on her bed. "Being Queen Bee has made me feel more powerful and confident!" The blonde looked up to her bedroom window.

"Whenever trouble occurs, Ladybug always knows when to come find me!" Chloe stopped for a minute before going on.

"I mean, being rich is all fine and dandy, but." Feeling ecstatic, the blonde walked up to her window and opened it wide as so was her smile.

"Someday, I will be free!" The blonde said with all sorts of confidence in her as she viewed the Parisian daylight. "I'll be free to be my very own person! I won't ever be seen as just a "Bourgeois" or "The mayor's daughter," or simply, a rich girl all together." Finally closing the window, the blonde girl began to stand all high and mighty.

"I'll be more than that! I'm not just Chloe Bourgeois, the rich daughter of Andre and Audrey Bourgeois, I'm my own person!" The rich girl looked back at the window and flashed a light smile.

"And it's all thanks to you, Ladybug,"

Meanwhile with Zoe, although treated unfairly and pushed around one, too many times by the cruel and selfish woman that took her in, the young girl, thanks to her father's influence, grew up kind and faithful; believing that the more hard work she paid off, the more she'll be able to not only reunite with him, but both we'll finally be free of their debt and travel the world together, performing all kinds of shows for people of all ages.

"I'll find you one day again, daddy." Zoe told herself as she closed her eyes and placed her heart on her chest. "We'll get out of this together, as long as I feel your love. Someday, we will be free!"

The next morning at the Bourgeois' hotel, Chloe was up and ready for school, and was already making her way downstairs carrying both her book bag and a coat hanger covered in plastic wrap. The reason being that it was her mother Audrey's own one of a kind designer dress and the daughter was doing her very best not to get it ruined.

"Chloe, Princess, good morning!" Mayor Andre Bourgeois politely said as the two greeted each other with a peck on the cheek.

"Good morning daddy!" Chloe responded back. She then looked around all concerned. "Where's mommy?"

"Getting her hair done, again." Andre rolled his eyes in annoyance. "It's the seventh time this week she's done that."

Voila, speak of the devil, Audrey appeared out of nowhere.

"Well, let's see you try to get rid of every single gray hair; and then come talk to me about it!" While the demanding wife's booming voice startled them both, Chloe couldn't help, but chuckle a bit at her mom's feistiness. She knew that it was wrong to, but deep down, the blonde daughter admired her mom's bossiness. Something about the "take-no-charge" role made Chloe wanna be like her own mother once she was older. Speaking of which, now it was her chance to show off to her.

"Morning mommy," The blonde offspring began. Audrey just glared at her. "Do you know what this is?" Chloe asked happily as she held up the hanger, hoping to get Mommy Dearest's approval. Audrey shrugged.

"A bag filled with all your mistakes?"

Chloe nervously chuckled it off. "No silly, it's your one of a kind designer dress!" The child grinned back. Audrey still wasn't pleased.

"And so what of it?" Now the anxiety increased in Chloe. Quickly, she came up with a response.

"Well, today is Show and Tell in homeroom, and Sabrina, my stupid, lousy assistant and I are gonna present in front of our classroom of losers to show that they don't have a chance against you or I if they ever get into fashion!" Finally, the daughter concluded with a big, old confident grin. Unfortunately, the fashionista mother wasn't buying it.

"Whatever Clarabelle, eat your veggies or something."

The smile faded into a face of disappointment, Audrey looked over at the clock.

"Aaah! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous! Why did no one tell me I was running late?!" The bossy parent growled. "Andre, give me the nearest limo driver around!" Andre protested.

"Audrey dear, Chloe has,"

"NOW!" Roared the angry wife. The husband sighed in defeat, and looked over at her daughter. Chloe groaned.

"I'll call Sabrina." Despite what she said earlier about her, deep down, Chloe did actually see Sabrina Raincomprix as her best friend and she did genuinely love her. The reason she called her "stupid and lousy" before was for her mother could be proud with her; but to no avail. Therefore, she didn't mind driving in her dad, Officer Roger's car, but to her, it wasn't "mommy approves," which is what really disappointed her.

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" Audrey threw her tantrum as she grabbed all her belongings. Before both Andre and Chloe could ask for a goodbye, the nasty wife and mother was out in a millisecond.

"Quick, to my Fashion House now, you dingus!" Audrey shouted at her limo driver at once and off they both went.

Meanwhile at said Fashion House titled "Audrey Bourgeois's Haute Coutlooza," on the outside, it was a very tall building, covered in golden painting and texture everywhere you looked with stained glass windows of Audrey herself modeling in each one. However, once the owner walked in, everything changed. There were multiple employees every way, all anxious and scared of what their boss could say or even do to them. One timid woman gave her the cup of coffee she always required: Foam free, no sugar, soy free vanilla latte; while a worried looking man gave her a list of the latest sale ratings she got in the last two months. Either way, none of them pleased the model as she was glaring around the room.

"Where is that girl?" She growled.

A/N: Alright, that was the first chapter of this AU! I do apologize once more if Chloe was a little bit OOC. Like I said, she will still be nasty, just not as much as she is in the show.

The next chapter will focus more on Zoe and how she came to be.
