A few things before I start this series off,

I do not own Owl House, I wish I did but I do not.

This story is 18+ All characters will be as well, I don't want to lose freedom with writing because of age.

Characters will act differently from cannon for the most part, I think about it like that character but if other things happened instead that made them how they are, I will explain per person when we get there but for now just trust me

Their power will be all up to my discretion, especially Luz as well as the events of the story will be up to me, it is a fanfiction after all.

This will be much more violent, dark, and suggestive then the show. It is 18+ for a reason, now please enjoy. Feel free to review as good or bad they all help.

Author's Note, I'm still alive and rewriting this story into something I can be proud of, I can't promise consistency but I can promise that I didn't stop thinking about writing during my two years away and that has to count for something right? Anyhow please enjoy the updated version of this story, now that we know how it ends, well I can take it in any direction I want!

Chapter 1

New Beginnings

'I know that I am far from your normal person but what in the absolute fuck is this place?' Luz thought to herself while she jumped over a table hearing an angry silver haired woman behind her yelling that she had some business with her. "Lady, I don't know you leave me alone!" She tried ducking into an alleyway but as she put her hand against the wall the stone seemed to turn into a slime-like goo that prevented her from moving.

Grunting in frustration the purple haired girl tried pulling her arm away but to no avail as the footsteps of her soon to be killer approached. As the woman turned the corner Luz got a full look at the woman and did not even know if she should be worried or turned on. The woman was gorgeous, a beautiful red dress draped over her delightful figure accentuating her curves with a gently glowing golden gem resting at the center of her chest. Her skin was an unnatural pale that told Luz the woman had to be a vampire or something. Long flowy silver hair that seemed to damn near touch the floor and was incredibly thick looking. Deep red seductive lipstick and her enticing golden eyes shined with a mischievous glint that only added to her allure.

"Good god." The silver haired lady panted out between breaths. "Why the hell did you have me run so far!?" Her tone was accusatory and almost made Luz apologize simply from the tone before she regained her bearings.

"Well usually when someone I don't know chases me in a place I don't know I tend to want to run so I can live another day." Was Luz's sarcastic reply as she continued attempting to force her arm out of the slime.

"Well I suppose I can't fault you for that one, the name is Eda, they call me Eda the Owl Lady." Eda proudly stated as she twirled her staff in her hands happily striking a pose not unlike an anime protagonist. "Anyway kid, I need help with something and as a human, you will help me out."

Though her appearance was of honey the way she spoke Luz knew there was a venom there, a hatred for humans that if she was a lesser woman would have made her flinch. Nevertheless she felt as though she might as well go with whatever insane plan the woman could concoct, how bad could it be after all?

"Holy fucking shit!" Luz screamed out as she grabbed into the pile of treasure at random seeing a weapon stuck within a slab of rock and pulling with all her might praying not to die, while at first there was no pull in the weapon she could feel an odd tingle in the back of her head as she pulled out, a stick? She cursed her horrible luck as the footsteps of the Warden drew closer and closer.

The hulking mass of the Warden appeared and she cracked the staff against the creature's head bringing it down with a howl of pain as she began freeing the prisoners from their cages, it made her sick. They were not the problem, they were not a problem, it seemed as though no world she could be within would ever accept people for who they were.

There was an anger in her; she had felt all her life a sort of dissonance with the world. Why was it that people like her were deemed as freaks while the other people were considered normal? What advantage did being normal even have? As the prisoners were freed one by one Luz could not hear their thanks towards her nor their fear reignite once the Warden made his presence known once more.

"You creatures are the worst freaks is putting it nicely. You destroy society by being different, forcing people to think that being accepted is something that everyone deserves. That is not true. It will never be true, I was wrong to lock you freaks up in a cage. Instead I will kill each of you at a time, hell I might even get a promotion for it." The Warden spoke laughing at his captives who looked uneasy and one by one each bowed their heads down and sat almost awaiting execution.

Luz snapped out of her funk and watched as each of them welcomed the idea of being killed with seemingly not a care left in the world. "What is wrong with you all stand up and run! Please get out of here! I will beat this sick fuck but I can't do it if you all are in the way." She pleaded with them as one of them turned to her and spoke softly.

"What is the point in running? The Warden is right we don't have anyone on the outside who cares about us. We have nowhere to go and no reason to keep on moving anymore, at least this way we won't have to struggle anymore." Katya the girl who writes fanfiction about food spoke while the Warden loomed within her shadow intent to cleave her in half.

Luz's body reacted before she had time to think and blocked the blow with her stick, amazed at its resilience against the axe. Deciding not to push her luck she kicked Katya away and was forced to take a powerful punch to her jaw knocking her into one of the cells she had just opened. She attempted to dash away from the cell before the warden could react but proved too slow as he flicked the lever and with a clang the cell was shut and she was locked in.

"You know what lady? I won't kill you, you will just watch while I kill each of them one by one and then rot in this cage." The Warden spoke with maniacal glee as he grabbed the first one he saw, Tinaella Nosa who did not struggle in his grasp nor attempt to fight back in any way. He readied his weapon and Luz watched in horror as there was nothing she could do to prevent this from happening.

She had to get out of a cell cheat, this wasn't a game. She was just some person, albeit a very athletic one who is used to getting into a fair share of fights but never to death like this just with bullies who thought she wouldn't fight back. She had always won those and was able to keep kids from getting picked on, maybe that is why she tried to stop this monster from killing them but who was she fooling, he couldn't be killed. She didn't even know if the thing felt pain, let alone could be stopped.

Luz wanted to stop this, but was forced to watch as the weapon the Warden made from his own body carved into the small nose creature. Blood erupted from the center point of the attack with brutal force. Luz threw herself against the bars in an effort to save them as the Warden simply wiped the blood from his face seemingly not caring for his uniform's staining and dropped the tiny nose creature like they were worth nothing.

Her blood boiled, her own helplessness meant nothing to her anymore so long as she could save even one of them. In her rage which was like no other anger she had felt before there was a clawing in the back of her mind, a voice that demanded she tear the bars asunder and kill the Warden for drawing blood unnecessarily. She heard a voice, ripe with power and a deep hatred she couldn't fathom, it felt as though thousands of people's own hardships and angers flew into her being.

"Luz the human, I will allow one of your kind to form a pact with me. Mutually beneficial of course, I will help you get stronger in this world you know nothing about and in return you-" Luz didn't intentionally mean to but she had agreed to the contract that she didn't even know existed. Luz didn't care what she lost from this contract so long as she could make him suffer.

While the axehead flew towards Katya's head Luz slammed open the cell with ease and threw herself into the Warden. Before he could even move to counter her, Luz took hold of the plague doctor mask the warden wore and ripped it from his face getting a look into the Warden's grotesque face, an almost spider like mouth with two tiny sickeningly light green eyes staring at her in fear.

Luz punched the head of the creature intent to kill it and when her fist made contact faster than she ever knew it would move her hand moved through the skull of the creature almost as easily as a knife cutting through butter, practically no resistance at all as her hand tore threw brain with another explosion of gore she looked on in shock as the floor his head was previously there was now a hand-sized crater.

In the blood she almost missed it as she slowly got off his body but her right eye was pitch black and her iris was golden. As quickly as the color came it faded as Luz turned to the other now shaking prisoners.

"Bury your friend and leave this place, life that she would be proud of and do not change. People like that vile man hate our very existence for something we can't control and we don't deserve to be killed because of it. The only reason I killed him is because he would never give up on you guys, he could never stop chasing you until one by one you all died."

That was the moment the somber tone was ruined as the zombie woman crashed through a window. "Hey Luz I got the crown thanks for di-" She paused seeing the two lifeless corpses on the floor and with what Luz seemed to gauge as an unusual seriousness simply asked "What happened?"

"The Warden killed the nose and I killed the Warden before he could hurt anyone else." Luz replied simply with a shrug which made Eda look at her with an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"Have you taken a life before Luz? I'm not one to judge. I may hate killing but sometimes you have to that I understand, but you didn't seem like someone who could just as easily kill someone without feeling bad about it."

"I-I honestly don't know. That was the first time I've ever killed anyone, why don't I feel regret for this?" Luz never imagined she would be in a situation like this but wouldn't it be awful to kill another person?

"Well whatever, don't sweat the small stuff Luz you came out on top! Warden is pretty tough while I could have run circles around him. I am the Great Owl Lady so that isn't really saying much!" Eda said, puffing her generous bust out with pride making Luz giggle as tension was completely lost for the moment.

"Now I make good on my word Luz and even though, King will bitch me out for taking you back to the human world, you don't belong here. I'll take you home." Eda spoke while rummaging through her bag before finally pulling out the door, throwing it against the wall and opening the door.

Luz couldn't see any differences through the door when she was coming in but now that she was here there was a large eyeball on the other side of the door. "Yeah probably time I get back, god knows how much time has passed over there."

"Luz do not go through that door unless you want to lose the gifts I'm giving you. Besides we made a deal and you must continue to uphold your end of the bargain." The dark voice spoke once more, while Luz didn't understand what was happening she knew that a part of her wanted to stay here.

The beautiful zombie lady was from an entirely different world that Luz knew she would never be able to find again. A world she wanted to learn about, a world with magic, a world with weird creatures at every corner, and to top it all off someone as supposedly powerful as this Eda lady was who could probably show her magic.

Maybe she could learn magic! Something real, not just those sleight of hand tricks Luz practiced as a child with a dream of being able to use magic. "Eda, I have another proposition for you. . ."

Luz could only taste the dirt as she trained for the day it marked a month she had spent in the Boiling Isles and Eda continued to teach her new things everyday, about the landscape itself which was an incredibly large monster of some kind, about the creatures on the plane, and even what foods Luz could safely eat.

They had plenty of fun with Luz either being able to eat something or immediately throw it up. Well it seemed more like Eda and King enjoyed watching him struggle, not necessarily Luz but she was still amazed at everything she saw. Even more so to learn that witches have essentially a second nervous system that contains magic within itself that witches and wizards can use to create spells.

Eda was also an excellent storyteller, usually while they walked somewhere either to fill out deliveries or just after a lesson she would regale her with tales of her 'youth' as she called it though Luz really didn't feel that Eda couldn't have been older than 32 at most, to be fair Luz was 18 but she felt a connection to Eda she didn't have with anyone else she knew of.

Eda was incredibly kind with a playful teasing nature that Luz loved to roll with and see what fun things they could get into and games they could play. Eda rarely reveals her serious side unless the situation calls for it, the last time she did was after a glass of apple blood and a particularly rainy night.

Flashback

"Eda, is that alcohol? What kind of a drink is Apple Blood?" Luz was amazed the Boiling Isles had a drink that resembled alcohol though nevertheless Eda was something of a lightweight, it seemed like the small glass she had was already starting to affect her and the blush on her face was very indicative of such a fact.

"Luz~" Eda said in a singing manner that sounded oddly beautiful coming from the tipsy witch. She wrapped an arm around Luz gently and leaned into her. "You are the first person to be around me this long since"

Eda paused and then bursted into laughter "Well ever really! See I have this curse, I don't know how I got it but there is a demon within me, well an Owl demon or something like that. It steals my magic and sometimes starts to take over my body. I've been able to ward it off but I snapped a while ago and killed someone I was very close to on accident."

Eda closed her eyes shut tightly in an effort to almost shake away the memory "I didn't want to hurt Raine. That damned Owl made me! I transformed into the Owl demon and even though Raine could have stopped me, they didn't even try. Instead Raine died happily in my talons as I changed back into my normal form."

Eda began quivering "Since then I've shut myself away from my family and everyone else deemed me a criminal, rightfully so I killed the person I loved with all my heart!"

Luz held onto the woman she began to see as a friend while she bawled her eyes out sobbing well into the night until she finally fell asleep within her arms gently keeping her arms wrapped around Luz almost as if she was her lifeline.

Luz made a promise that night to help her with the Owl Demon no matter the cost, Eda was also dealing with an unwanted guest in her body, an unwanted interloper within her brain that Luz also couldn't part with. The burden on both people's shoulders lightened considerably that night, Eda for telling someone else her darkest secret, revealing her loneliness and deepest regret, and Luz for knowing that she has someone who is similar to her in the world.

Both happily slept in eachothers arms with only a light blush the next day when they had found themselves cuddling one another.

Flashback End

"Whew alright morning workout done!" Luz happily yelled out holding her arms up victoriously as she threw the boulder she was using as added weight to the side eager to see what today had to offer her.

"Luz I think it's time we get you into Hexside University" Eda told her with a light frown. "While I dislike the idea of you becoming a coven mage I trust you to make the right decisions, and besides as much as I love having you around and teaching you I need to work, I am a bounty hunter and a particular quarry needs my attention at the moment."

Luz looked down in sadness for a minute knowing she would have less time with Eda but then realized she was talking about the school she had gone to. "Wait, you mean the place you went to when you were a witch? I'd love to! But I don't know any magic. How will I get into the school?"

"Oh luckily I already cleared it with Principal Bump that old bastard is still kicking and I knew how to tug on his heartstrings. He is a wonderful guy who cares about his kids and I told him that we shouldn't rob you of your chance to learn something you are excited about."

Eda smiled momentarily before sheepishly grinning and rubbing the back of her head "Well that was how it went but it kinda spiraled into a challenge. So here is the catch, you must be there for a day blending in with the students without anyone noticing you are a human."

Luz opened her mouth to respond but Eda leaned in and placed a finger on her lips "I'm leaving this all up to you Luz. You are far smarter than you give yourself credit for, an apprentice of mine is more than capable enough of a task like this. Besides, potions class doesn't even involve spells so you should fit right in there!"

Luz went to speak again but Eda kept her finger against her lips with a teasing smile. Luz reacted accordingly and softly bit the tip of her finger tracing the very tip with her tongue and watching as the Owl Lady's pale cheeks took on a cute reddish hue not unlike a tomato.

"I'll make you proud Eda I'll think of something I mean it is only sneaking into a magic school for an entire day starting when exactly?" Luz asked to which Eda held up her ten fingers "10 minutes? Oh fuck. . ." Ignoring Eda's chuckles and King's laughter Luz began running to school attempting to think of a plan for how she would sneak in without tipping off the principal.

AN; I will be redoing everything so previous chapters will be deleted and I will be working on my Naruto x DxD story very soon as well!
