"So? Are you going to answer or not?" Xenovia asked and Issei looked between his two girlfriends/ fianceés/ wives?
He really needed to figure out what they were.
"Ingvlid, these are Xenovia Quarta & Asia Argento, my-!"
"Girlfriends." Issei was surprised by Asia being the one who cut him off, the girl blushing as soon as he looked at her before he smirked as Xenovia nodded in agreement at her friend's words.
"My girlfriends, yes. Asia, Xenovia, this is Ingvild Leviathan. Xenovia, no! She's not an enemy!" Issei quickly spoke as soon as a golden portal appeared next to Xenovia, the girl giving him a frown before she slowly nodded and Issei sighed as the portal disappeared.
"Fine. Why is she here and hugging you so closely?" Issei blinked before he sighed as he felt Ingvild pressing up against his back while using him as a wall to hide away from the two girls.
One thing he had to admit, the boobs pressing up against his back wasn't that bad at all.
"She's here because Theo-sensei asked both Cao Cao & I to protect her. Also, I was the first person she met after she woke up from a five century long nap thanks to the Sleep Disease and she doesn't feel comfortable going to the HQ like Valerie did."
"I-Isn't that the one that forces a devil's body into a deep sleep to let their body mature faster & catch up with their mind?" Asia asked softly with a frown, her gaze softening as Issei nodded before she turned to Ingvild.
"S-Sorry about the hostility. We're just not used to devils that don't recruit Issei every minute."
"H-Half devil, actually." Ingvild corrected and Asia blinked as Xenovia finally let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, thank God you're not a full devil. Ah, sorry." The bluenette apologized as she caught Ingvild wincing slightly, the purple-haired girl smiling & nodding before Issei spoke up.
"So, we're good?" He asked before yelping as Asia walked forward before kicking him on the shin.
"Oh, she's good. You, on the other hand, are not. Could you leave us for a while, Ingvild?" Xenovia asked with a smile, Ingvild looking a bit hesitant before she nodded as she walked out of the room, Issei looking a bit scared as Asia closed & locked the door behind her.
"Before anything happens…I didn't try & seduce her. It just happens."
"Oh we know. Now, let's have a quick lesson on why you shouldn't save every single damsel in distress you come across.
"Should we help?" Ingvild asked in concern as she heard Issei yelping, Cao Cao walking out from his hiding spot to glance at Issei's door before he smirked.
"Nope. The best thing is to just let them work it out before going in. Good luck." Ingvild sighed as she watched her so-called guardian going back into the room before she sat down on the floor opposite of the door & waited.
A calm silence hung in the air of the Yamamoto-Richards residence as its residence slept, or at least, all except for one.
Theo took a deep breath as he stretched his arms to the sky, letting that breath out slowly as he lowered his arms while slowly flowing his divine energy throughout his body.
Shaking his body after finishing his cooldown stretches after his routine morning exercise, Theo groaned as he scratched the back of his head before blinking as he felt a presence behind him.
"Hey, beautiful. How'd you sleep?" He asked as he turned and smiled at Rossweisse, who giggled as she shrugged.
"As well as I could with only two of my usual pillows."
"They're still asleep?" He asked and she nodded as she sat down on the porch, enjoying the sight of a shirtless Theo towelling off the sweat before blushing slightly as he gaver her a knowing smirk.
"Why are you sweating? Gods don't sweat unless they are fighting in dangerous battles."
"To make you squirm and hot & bothered." Theo answered unashamedly with a shrug, to which she just pouted as he chuckled & sat down next to her.
"So, how are you doing with all the…pregnancy & wedding stuff?"
"Don't remind me. Your mother's taken Yasaka and I to a few dozen dress stores just to find the perfect dress and hundreds of baby outfits."
"Are there even that many dress shops in Kuoh?" Theo asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Nope. We went to the thirteen in Kuoh and then we teleported all around the world to the most expensive stores all around the world that she knows of. I can still feel the phantom pains from wakling around & being forced to stand for hours on end." Rossweisse muttered, Theo chuckling as he wrapped an arm around her & pulled her closer to him.
"Don't worry. Now that she's gotten your sizes out of them and what colours you would like for the babies, you're going to be left alone…for now." He finished lamely, to which she just groaned before she blinked as he pulled away & stood up.
"Everything okay?" She asked, Theo not answering as he looked up at the sky with a frown before his eyes narrowed to one singular spot, Rossweisse squinting her eyes in the direction he was looking at before she frowned at the sight of two figures floating next to each other.
"Great, I should have known that they would have came here." Theo muttered before sighing as he rolled his shoulders.
"Who are they?"
"Erebus, the Primordial God of Darkness, and Nyx, the Primordial Goddess of the Night. Also, the creators/ parents of Thanatos, who is currently sealed away after Issei beat him."
"In other words, they're here for revenge." Rossweisse spoke with a frown as she stood up and Theo scoffed at that.
"If only it was that easy. No, they're here because Issei and I embarrassed Thanatos by defeating him and because they never liked the Greek deities." Theo spoke as he lifted his right hand, an icy blue snowflake appearing on the back of his hand as it pulsed twice before glowing a deep blue.
"What's the matter, Theo?" Gilgamesh's voice came through and Theo quickly answered as he saw the two figures floating closer to his house.
"Is any of the captains currently available? I may have an S-Class crisis on my hands" Theo spoke into the crest and it pulsed once before two voices came through.
"Theseus, this is Isaac./ Samson here. What do you need?"
"Isaac, I need you to go fetch Samson and then I need you to teleport both of you to Kuoh Town. Nyx & Erebus are currently here & are steadily approaching my location at a moderately slow pace."
"Samson, Isaac, you have permission to go all out. I repeat, Samson, Isaac, you have full clearance." Gilgamesh spoke and a deep chuckle & a sinister chuckle could be heard from Samson & Isaac respectively before the crest disappeared.
"So, what are we going to do?"
"What else? We need to protect our town until those two get here." Yasaka spoke with a smile as she walked out onto the porch, already dressed in her golden kimono and Theo just sighed as Rossweisse giggled before a silver flash covered her body.
As the flash disappeared, it revealed her now clad in her Valkyrie armour and Theo just rolled his eyes as he pulled out Anaklusmos before clicking on the top of the pen & activated its xiphos form.
"That's what I'm talking about, Ms. Yasaka." Theo blinked as he heard Issei's voice, turning before sighing at the sight of his student along with Ingvild, Cao Cao, Asia and Xenovia standing on their rooftop.
"Oh, so you two aren't trying to kill Issei anymore?" Yasaka asked with a giggle, Rossweisse giggling with her as Asia & Xenovia looked away with blushes while Issei sighed, Cao Cao chuckled and Ingvild smiled.
"I feel like you're going to try and fight no matter what I say, right?" Theo asked with a smirk & chuckled as all five of them nodded.
"Fine, I won't stop you, then. Issei, you're with me. We're taking on Erebus. Rose, Yasaka, you two are taking on Nyx. Cao Cao, you and Xenovia take care of watching over Kunou & Asia just in case the gods try to sneak past us to get to them. Ingvild-!"
"I want to help." She cut Theo off and he blinked before sighing as he saw her glancing at Issei, frowning in thought before he nodded.
"Fine. Issei, new plans. You two are taking on Nyx with Rose. Dear, looks like it's you and me against Erebus."
"Wouldn't want it any other way." Yasaka spoke with a grin and Theo chuckled before he frowned as he heard a snort behind him.
"Done planning out your little strategies, ickle little Theseus?" Nyx taunted with a mocking smirk, Theo rolling his eyes while holding out a hand to stop Issei from responding in his usual brass way.
"Yes, Nyx, we are, but I suppose you wouldn't understand that given how you're more focused on choking on Erebus' shrimp cock instead of using what little brain cells you have left to figure out what's going on around you." Nyx's smirk disappeared as she glared at Theo, who had a polite smile on his face before the young god turned to Erebus, who was frowning.
"Do not speak of my sister like that, mongrel."
"Come here and make me." Theo said with a grin before he rocketed upwards into the sky, Erebus quick on his heels while Yasaka transformed into her anthropomorphic form before fire spewed from her feet & helped her fly after the two.
"Now that the old folks have left, why don't we all have a chat?" Nyx asked with a smile as she turned to the rest of the group on the ground before she blinked as her surroundings warped.
As soon as the warping stopped, she frowned as she saw Kuoh Town in the distance, noting the clashing of Theseus & his little hussy against her beloved before she looked back just as Issei, Rossweisse & Ingvild appeared in a flash of silver in front of her.
'I suppose having just the red dragon & the half-devil was too much to ask for.' Nyx thought with a frown before she quickly shifted it to a smile, Issei rolling his neck while the Mistilteinn Wand appeared in a silver flash in Rossweisse' hands.
'Ddraig.'
[Balance Break!] Ddraig's voice echoed as a crimson glow covered Issei's body, Ingvild surprised to see Issei now covered in the crimson draconic armour of the Boosted Gear Balance Breaker while Nyx just smirked.
"Good. It would be a waste of time if I killed the Red Dragon before it got fun."
[BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] Issei didn't say anything as Ddraig's voice echoed through the air, Nyx only giving a split second to cross her arms in a block just as Issei's gauntlet-clad fist crashed right through it & into her jaw.
However, Issei's eyes widened as the goddess took the blow with no damage whatsoever, his shock swiftly turning into surprise as something crashed into his chest & knocked the air out of him.
"Spiria." Rossweisse chanted as she waved her wand as Nyx unleashed a barrage of shadow spears from below Issei only to click her tongue as silver vines shot out of the ground and pulled Issei away while also stopping her spears in their tracks.
Not done with her onslaught, Nyx frowned as she punched forward, her shadow warping before it stretched & transformed into a giant fist that came down on the trio.
Rossweisse frowned as she waved her wand to defend only to blink as a literal sea of deep violet water shot up out of the ground and easily captured the fist in a giant water bubble
"I thought you've been stuck in a deep slumber for the past five hundred years?" Rossweisse asked with an amused smile as she watched Ingvild clench her hands into a tight fist that made the bubble shrink & crush the shadow-like hand, the half-devil blushing slightly as Nyx frowned.
"It…just comes easy, I guess."
"Urgh…did anyone get the plate of the truck that hit me?" Issei groaned as he pushed himself to his feet, Nyx taking advantage of Ingvild looking away to unleash a blast of a purplish-black beam of malevolent energy only to grit her teeth as a series of silver Nordic sigils appeared in the beam's path.
"You…are being a real nuisance, Valkyrie." The goddess growled as she turned to Rossweisse, who smiled as she bowed with a flourish.
"Then, I'm doing my job correctly. Issei, I will take her on & Ingvild will assist me. I'm guessing she & Erebus made her immune to your attacks. Go and help Theo and tell Yasaka to come help us."
"You sure?" He asked her, frowning as the Valkyrie just smiled at him before he nodded & turned to Ingvild.
"Stay close to Rossweisse-san and take care."
"You too." She said, making him smile before a pair of metallic crimson wings unfolded from his back and he rocketed upwards.
"Not so fast." Nyx growled as a horde of shadow-like avian monsters shot out from the ground & flew after Issei only for ten giant water dragons to appear from thin air & destroy her horde whilst she ducked as a barrage of silver thorns nearly impaled her.
"Like we told Issei, your fight is with us." Rossweisse spoke with a frown as she waved her wand and Nyx growled as the ground under her darkened, a moment of silence hanging in the air before chaos ensued as hundreds of different shadow-like beasts ripped themselves into existence.
Theo frowned as he spun in the air to face the ground, a loud screech echoing through the air as he placed Anaklusmos in front of him just in time to stop a spear made out of darkness from nearly impaling him.
As the waters of Phlegethon condensed in a spherical shield around him & repelled the spear as well as the dozens of others that appeared from thin air all around him, Theo frowned as he looked around & tried to find the god he was facing.
However, his eyes widened as he felt a presence already in his bubble, turning around to see a grinning Erebus behind him with his hand on his shoulders.
"Sphragizō." Erebus chanted and Theo's eyes widened as the waters of Phlegethon disappeared, feeling his connection to his father's domains being severed before he was brought back to reality by a fist crashing into his chest.
"I am the master of sealing arts of the Greek Pantheon, boy. Sealing away your connections is quite easy." Erebus said with a smug grin and Theo frowned before divine energy flowed around his body, Anaklusmos a greyish-golden blur that nearly sliced Erebus' head off if the god didn't duck in the nick of time.
Not done yet, Theo rushed forward and tried to stab him, Erebus' arms turning into blades of darkness as he parried the strike with his left arm while bringing the right down for a lethal blow.
Theo frowned as he leaned out of the path of the attack while also pushing the arm against Anaklusmos away, the xiphos turning into a jagged trident that he spun around his body before trying to impale the god with it.
As the bladed tips neared Erebus' chest, the god grinned as his chest turned to darkness & the bladed weapon stabbed right through his wispy form, Theo's eyes widening as the god exploded in a black mist before condensing behind him with a sword already near his neck.
However, Erebus' eyes widened as soon as he cut clean through Theo's neck, watching as both the decapitated head & corpse turned into ice before he felt a presence behind him.
"Zet-ten!" Yasaka growled as she brought her hand down and Erebus quickly spun in his tracks while unleashing darkness to condense into a shield in front of him & ducking out of the way, his quick thinking being the only thing that saved him as the shield of darkness along with the clouds above him was cleaved cleanly in half.
Yasaka cursed under her breath as Touki flooded her body, taking a deep breath before she opened her maw & unleashed a sea of azure flames onto the god.
Unfortunately, Erebus was ready for such an attack as a black mist just as big as the flames appeared in front of the god & swiftly absorbed the black flames, the mist condensing into a thin sheet in front of Erebus before the god grinned as he tapped it.
A soft ring echoed through the air before a torrent of pitch black flames shot out of the mirror and roared in glee as it rushed towards Yasaka, who readied herself to counter before she rolled her eyes as the flames were instantly frozen, Erebus trying to jump back before he cursed as he felt himself slowing down to a near snail-crawl.
"Let time come to a halt." Theo chanted as he appeared above Erebus, the god's eyes wide as the good appeared in front of him, pulsing his divine energy & tilting his body just in time to avoid being cut in half.
However, he did not fully dodge the blow as he hissed, darkness appearing in front of him & stitching close the deep cut that stretched from his left shoulder all the way down to his left thigh while he glared at the grinning Theo.
"Dragon Fist!" His eyes widened as he heard a bellow below him before he gave a silent scream as a painful blow crashed into his back & sent him careening into the air, both Theo & Yasaka blinking in surprise at the sight of Issei in his Balance Breaker.
"What are you doing here? I thought I told you to help Rose." Theo spoke with a frown and Issei sighed as his mask retracted.
"I tried, but Nyx had created some kind of way to make herself immune to Erebus' attacks. Rossweisse-san sent me up here to help you and to tell Yasaka-san that she needs her help down there."
"I'll go." Yasaka said and Theo frowned before he nodded.
"Stay safe."
"Of course. Who would look after you if I wasn't there?" The Kyubi spoke with a teasing smile before she deactivated her fire rockets & sent herself freefalling towards the ground, the armour's helmet covering Issei's head once more while Theo shook his head with an exasperated sigh at his girlfriend's theatrics.
"You! Red Dragon, we were going to let you die on your own, but now, I'm going to kill you. Slowly and painfully."
"Sure, if you don't mind joining the line of people that want to do that too." Issei spoke with a grin and Theo chuckled as he turned Anaklusmos back into its xiphos form, the three men staring at each other for a long silence before it was broken by a sea of darkness erupting from Erebus, both Theo & Issei turning to nod at the other as they rocketed themselves forward.
