You absorbed…." Tanjiro said worriedly
"Yeah…." Kuri mumbled.
"The demon slayer village is esteemed in medical and demonic knowledge. They can help you. How about it?" Tanjiro said. "I am Tanjiro Kamado."
"Kuri Hikawa." Kuri said shyly. "Thanks for the help."
"N-No problem." Tanjiro said. "And we need your help to find out what to do about the demon that was released."
"Alright." Kuri bowed. "Please take me to your village. I'm sure they will want to know what has happened."
Tanjiro smiled. "This way." He lead her to the village.
"Wow it's beautiful! Is this your family?" Kuri looked around at everyone.
"Yes!" Tanjiro introduced her.
"The seal is broken…" Tanjuro said. "Are you sure?"
"Yes I…I'm sorry," Kuri whimpered.
"Yes….I saw it happen…" Tanjiro said.
"That means the demon slayers peaceful time is over." Tanjuro said, lifting his weapon. "The demons will rise again."
"Demons?" Kuri cried. "But I absorbed some of it into my body!"
"What?" Tanjiro said. "How? When you swallowed?"
"Let me see you quickly!" Tamayo pulled her into the hut where Tanjuro, the village chief lived.
Kuri lay down. "It was here." Her hand was glowing. "B-be careful."
Tanjiro stared in shock.
Tanjuro spoke calmly. "Muzan is the leader of all the demons. When he was sealed his essence must have shattered…but you should be turning into a demon…"
"Th-that's not good news."
"S-she's not really going to turn into a demon is she Father?" Tanjiro said worriedly.
"No no…it's amazing, she's purifying the demon energy…Tamayo!"
"This is astounding…" Tamayo said excitedly.
"W-well I'm kind of an angel…" Kuri whispered.
"You're a tenshi?" Tanjiro asked.
Kuri turned red and her wings floofed. "Ah! Can I please rest?!" Her feathers got everywhere.
Tamayo stood and helped her to her feet. "Of course! I'll show you to your room so you can rest!"
"…your wings are beautiful." Tanjiro whispered.
"Don't be silly." Kuri groaned. "They…" She glared at them. "…are making a mess!"
Tanjiro chuckled. "They are still quite lovely."
"Your a sweetie. Can I have some food please?" Kuri said hopefully. "And some water?"
"Yeah I'll go get those." Tanjiro got up and got her food and water.
"Thank you so much!" Kuri beamed up at him-.
When he came back Nezuko was nestled in her wings fast asleep.
"Nezuko! I'm so sorry!" Tanjiro handed her the food and drink.
"Shh!" Kuri grinned. "She's so sweet, she's sleeping lookit!" Her wings were stroking Nezuko and rocking her a bit as she ate and drank. "Her names Nezuko? is she your sister?"
"Yea she's my younger sister." Tanjiro sat near her. "You don't mind?"
"No of course not!" Kuri beamed. "She's so sweet she came in and petted and played with my wings and then fell asleep!" She giggled. "Most humans throw rocks at them."
Tanjiro was scandalized. "Nezuko would never do something like that!"
"I can tell. She's the sweetest!" Kuri stroked Nezuko's cheek. "In my family we are all raised to be priestesses. You know, killing all emotion, no bonds or thoughts of love…etc
But i like the way of you Kamado much better."
"And what's that way?" Tanjiro was curious. "and I…would be sad if you did that."
"You guys are all so loving and kind. And it doesn't seem like your parents do petty vindictive things when you break the rules
Once I made friends with a boy from the village and Grams had that boys family sent to the frontlines of a nearby battlefield.
I like it here." Kuri lay her head on Tanjiro's lap.
"W-we would never do that." He was shocked and pet her. "You're safe here you know."
"I know. And I really think I can help! I'm a psychic doctor you know! It's complicated, but basically I can make pain go away and restore lose off mobility or even limbs!" Kuri smiled. "Since it's a time of peace I used my battle training and channeled it into a way to help people."
Later Kuri woke up and found herself alone, so she went out and saw Tanjiro practicing his sword forms. "Wowwwe…" She gasped.
Tanjiro finished and looked over at her. "Oh hey!"
Kuri reddened and hovered. oh god! He's so amazing and now he's looking at ME! Cmon do something awesome!
Tanjiro smiled. "You're hovering. You happy?"
Kuri glared at her wings. "Your just so amazing…" She recovered. "Your dad gave me my own hut to work in! I was hoping you could take me to the hut where they recycle demon parts? I'd like to get some to work with."
"Yeah. I can do that. It's this way." Tanjiro grabbed her hand.
Kuri flushed at his touch and mumbled. "Thanks…"
Tanjiro took her to the hut.
Kuri followed Tanjiro to the hut. "Oh this is great! I can use the shell and the muscle here…" She touched it and it moved and twitched. "Excellent!"
"H-how are you…?" Tanjiro watched her.
"It's alright. It's still dead I'm just using the nerves. Even a dead demon has uses. I'm going to tell the chief to have the slayers bring me lots of arms and legs! I noticed a lot of cripples…I wanna help!"
"Oh that's right. I'll help you. If that's okay?"
"Yeah! Are you squeamish tho?" Kuri grinned.
"Not really."
"Ok good. Ano…" Kuri worked on something. "Here." Kuri held out a feather. "to keep you safe on the battlefield." Kuri was bright red.
Tanjiro blinked and took it. "For me?"
"Y-yeah. I worry about you, out there with de… what's this?" Kuri suddenly pulled out a bloody nest in the heart of a demon.
"A nest. That was there when the demon was killed."
Kuri frowned. "This is bad. It's a corpse crow. It's hunting me." She held up her glowing hand. "We need to search the village. There's a dead man here."
