The first day at school was uneventful Danny thought, at least until both Ember and Skulker showed up during the lunch period. What brought that on? Well another argument about Skulker being the best hunter. And of course to try to prove her wrong he placed a bet on which of them could capture Danny. Though they didn't know about Sam's ghost powers at this point so it was a nice surprise to them when she showed up in her ghost form. Though what confused Danny and Sam the most is why when they transformed they didn't have the crown or ring and Danny didn't have a cape. Once Sam used her vines to stop Skulker, Ember was too shocked to try to attack and instead asked, "When did the goth girl get ghost powers?!" "Well it turns out another ghost gave me powers so I guess you could thank Undergrowth for that." Sam responded. And with that they caught them in the thermos. Though before they could go back to class, Danny had a gash on his arm from one of Skulkers attacks and went home to have his parents take a look at it.
Jack and Maddie were have a conversation with Tuckers' parents about the DNA test that they had asked about towards the end of the summer and trying to set it up. Sam's dad and Ellie were also there so she could spend time with her grandparents. When Danny phased through the door in a worn out look and large gash on his arm, Ellie immediately saw her father and jumped up "Daddy what happened? Why hurt?" Of course this was said as a one and a half year old so it wasn't perfect speech but everyone was able to grasp the question. Danny smiled at his daughter to try to keep her calm as best as possible without going into detail. "Well a ghost came to school and I got a scratch while I was helping keep them safe." He walked down to the basement to get the first aid kit for him and Sam. Then he brought it to his mom to have her help him patch the injury. "Well it's a good thing you came here right away. You might've needed stitches if it was any deeper." Maddie said. Danny sighed understanding the issue. He then headed back to school and finished the day.
As Halloween approached Danny and Sam were working with the family to find a good costume for them to go with Ellie as a family. They didn't want to go as their ghost halves because Ellie couldn't use her powers yet. They decided to try a Disney costume. Danny as Eric, Sam as Ariel, and Ellie as Melody. Everyone thought it was a cute idea. And when Danny spoke to his ghost allies about trick or treating in the zone, they thought it would be great. Then the weekend before Halloween, Danny was working on his homework when he heard the alarm go off in the basement about the portal opening. He rushed downstairs to see what the problem was. When he got to the basement, he immediately transformed into his ghost half. "Walker. What do you want? Why are you here?" Walker was standing in front of the portal with a packet of papers. Danny also saw that Dora and Frostbite were there as well. Danny was confused.
"Relax child. I am here on a proposition for you and your family." Danny felt suspicious but with his allies there he went along with it. He paused and sat down on the floor. "Alright, I'll listen." "A few days ago some of the higher up ghosts' approached me and said that you were wanting to take your child trick or treating in the zone. They wanted to try to have a treaty put together so no one would attack and your child and other ghostly children could have fun in the zone. I put the forms together and myself and a few others went through the zone to speak to everyone who despises you. They all decided to sign the treaty knowing that soon you will be king. This way you and your family would get an idea of who is all in the zone as you go through."
Danny felt surprised but also appreciated the effort that they went through for his daughter. "Wow, thank you for that. I'm assuming that the treaty only lasts for the day of Halloween?" "No actually the treaty is for the entire week after as well. Everyone thought that again, you and your family could see more of the zone. This way it's not just one day." "Alright that sounds… pleasing. I'm sure my family will appreciate it. Is it just for Ellie, Sam and myself? I know that my parents would love to spend time with Ellie for her first Halloween." "So long as they stay with you and no weapons, your other family may come as well." Walker then put the papers down on the table for Danny to read and left.
