Deja vu

Celica and Sylvia had stepped out of Celica's portal to where they met once again, the portal closed and Celica walked over to the boulder with Sylvia following as Celica sat down on top after jumping up Sylvia joined her. The sun still hadn't set and was beaming down at them but it was not too warm as a nice breeze kept them from being overly hot or too cold.

Celica broke the silence asking Sylvia if she remembered the day they met last year. Sylvia nodded and said she never expected to end up falling for her partner and admitted that she didn't expect to have two red eyes staring at her inches away from her face. Sylvia smiled as she focused on the memory but looked at Celica losing her smile seeing Celica's glum expression.

Celica then said she was a completely different person now, pulling her knees to her chest and hugged herself, Sylvia listened on to Celica saying how she was just a scared kid with social anxiety and the only thing that people liked her was her looks. Sylvia tried to cut her off but Celica wasn't having as she just asked angrily if Sylvia would fall for this face? As she pointed to her long unkept hair and uncovered her right eye that hadn't healed and would never heal.

Sylvia wanted to reassure Celica that it wasn't looks as she tried to convince Celica that was not the case, explaining how she fell for her from the time they spent together and when they truly opened up to each other saying she fell in love with her whilst at Beacon and looks didn't matter to her. Celica looked to Sylvia in confusion and Sylvia went for broke trying to show just how she felt about Celica and kissed her.

Celica kissed back for a second but then pushed Sylvia away and jumped off the boulder, turning around she yelled at Sylvia asking what the hell was that? Sylvia got up and jumped down apologising trying to explain how she wanted to let her know how she felt about her. Celica was pissed telling Sylvia that she came out here to talk and not for a make out session.

Sylvia apologised profusely which only got on Celica's nerves more which attracted Grimm, they both noticed the Grimm and Sylvia noticed the anger, despair, rage in Celica's eyes conflicting her mental state and emotions. Sylvia drew her Longsword as Celica extended her Gauntlet blades as Sylvia said she had her back thinking Celica at least trusted her in combat.

They both charged running towards the Grimm that were running to them and just as Sylvia looked over to read Celica's attack strategy that's when Celica opened a portal in front of Sylvia having her run through the portal and closing it behind her as she recklessly charged into the pack of Grimm by herself. Sylvia on the other hand had come out of the portal running and slammed into the wall as the portal behind her closed.

She had fallen to the ground after slamming into the wall, she picked herself up and looked to see the portal had already disappeared, she sat on the bed waiting anxiously for Celica to return, she scolded herself for trying to kiss Celica but then thought that perhaps Celica just didn't trust her at all and it seemed the longer she stayed the more pain Celica experienced and perhaps she should go home thinking she had ruined her one and only chance.

While Sylvia was debating amongst herself Celica once again charged recklessly into a horde of Grimm but not in a healthy mindset, she let her anger and rage get the best of her emotions making her attacks sloppy, powerful but no direct accuracy which got her overwhelmed and as she lost the fight the horde of Grimm were tossing her about as they clawed her, slamming her into the ground, her aura buckled.

An Alpha Beowolve picked her back up after it slammed her into the ground once more, she was still conscious but barely as it roared in her face as the Alpha Beowolve squeezed its hands squashing Celica as she screamed in pain from getting crushed. Suddenly Celica stopped getting crushed as the hands of the Beowolve were sliced off, she began to fall barely clutching to consciousness as she heard a familiar voice call out her name before everything went to black as she was still falling.

Celica's eyes opened slightly with a bunch of people in armour carrying her but then closed again. Shortly after she opened her eyes seeing she was being lifted onto an airship, then her eyes closed again. Next time she opened her eyes she was being raced through a corridor hearing her name being yelled and then a random voice telling whoever it was to stay back and that she would be looked after before closing her eyes once again.

Back at the hotel Sylvia was getting really worried, she was pacing thinking it wouldn't of taken that long especially for Celica to clear out the Grimm, her mind was racing with a bunch of different thoughts flooding her head, she checked her scroll and noticed that Celica must be back in the city as she was in range of the local communications which gave Sylvia more of a hint that maybe she should go back to Menagerie cause clearly Celica didn't want anything to do with her after what she tried to do.

Sylvia started getting her belongings together, she looked at her scroll again and was thinking of sending a message to say goodbye with a final apology or should she at least try to call first and at least say her goodbye and apology. Finally she pressed the video call button and heard the usual ringtone, several rings went by as Sylvia really thought that Celica was ignoring her.

Just before she was going to hang up, Celica's end picked up but Sylvia wasn't greeted by Celica, instead she was greeted to the sight of Velvet. They both said each other's name in surprise but the look on Velvet's face was a look of worry as Sylvia asked where Celica was. Velvet looked to her team and heard part of a conversation out of view but basically it was CoCo telling Velvet to just tell Sylvia the truth.

Velvet nodded turning her attention back to Sylvia as she got up and walked out of the waiting room explaining how her and the rest of Team CFVY were on a Search and Destroy job when they came across Celica who had been overrun by Grimm and was getting crushed by an Alpha Beowolve and with Yatsuhashi slicing through the arms of the Alpha Beowolve they had Fox catch her and get her to safety as they dealt with the Grimm then called an Airship to take her to hospital.

Sylvia was tearing up during the explanation and felt even more guilty, she knew that kiss backfired but didn't expect to backfire this much as she asked Velvet how she was now as she started leaving the hotel running to the hospital even though Velvet said they're waiting for news and they had only been there for 30 minutes as Celica was rushed into surgery.

Sylvia didn't care how much time she had to wait, she needed to be close to Celica and hopefully be there for her when she woke up and wanted to thank Team CFVY in person as she told Velvet she was on her way hanging up as she sprinted as fast as she could go through the streets of Vale dodging and weaving in between people just to get to the hospital to only be told to take a seat and wait.

Panting she sat down next to Team CFVY asking them how they were doing as they were worried just like Sylvia. They explained how they came across Celica but had no idea she was there with only her weapons, Sylvia thanked them and told them why they were out there, mentioning the boulder was where they met and it was special to them but also the part about kissing Celica and how Celica had summoned a portal in front of her once again.

Sylvia looked down blaming herself for what happened, how if she could of controlled herself then she could've been there and protected Celica. Coco stood up grabbing Sylvia by the arm and started walking with her out of the hospital saying that they needed to talk, Sylvia followed along while the rest of Team CVFY remained in the waiting room waiting for any news about Celica.

Outside Coco had to ask the tough question of what was Sylvia's plan and warned her that she was practically on ice thinner than 1mm and if she pulled any other stunts like the kiss then Celica would be lost for good. She reminded her that Celica didn't trust her to begin with, that she was still upset about her leaving and that the kiss was really wrong and that should be the last thing on her mind as Sylvia needed to fix the friendship first.

Sylvia rebutted back saying she knew that and it was her plan to but her gut told her to kiss Celica. Coco sighed and had Sylvia tell her everything that happened between them ever since she reunited with Celica. Sylvia laid out the whole story of how she found Celica at the job board and how she then found her again, cared for her and then how Celica cared for her, basically recapping the last week.

Coco nodded and asked Sylvia what she wanted from Celica and without hesitation Sylvia said she wanted Celica back. Coco shook her head telling her she couldn't think like that, maybe sometime in the future but in order to get her back then she had to accept the new Celica and work at fixing the problem between them to work up to friends then only when the time was right and everything was fixed then could she possibly even think of them becoming an item again.

Sylvia took all the advice on board and felt like she could do that but Coco had to make sure by scaring her once more reminding her and getting the thought into Sylvia's head that one more slip up like that could lose Celica forever. Sylvia nodded and thanked Coco, Sylvia liked helping people to but she could see Coco was on a whole new level as they headed back inside to see if there was any news from the doctors about Celica.

When they got back they sat back down, no news was given about Celica's condition and so Sylvia and Team CFVY hunkered down waiting, they each took turns getting coffee or snacks and even brought a pack of cards to help pass the time, Fox and Velvet had fallen asleep as Coco filled in a report while Yatsuhashi and Sylvia played blackjack. Eventually after 15 hours the doctor emerged and addressed the group which had Sylvia drop her cards standing up needing to hear Celica was ok.

The doctors reassured everyone that she'd live as long as she got the rest as her aura has a long way to go healing her wounds but then went on to explain why it took so long is because they had to substitute her some of her shattered bones with metal replacements. Sylvia had tears forming while the rest of Team CFVY relaxed but knew she wasn't out of the woods yet as they asked if they could see her.

The doctor told them that Celica hadn't woken up yet but they could go in and sit with her, they were shown the room by a nurse as Coco thanked the doctor that clearly needed to go get some rest of his own. Velvet, Fox and Yatsuhashi walked in quietly, Sylvia was hanging back but Coco guided her in first to make her stop dragging her feet. Sylvia walked in seeing Celica on the bed, covered with bandages just laying there.

Sylvia sat next to the bed but didn't grab Celica's hand, Team CFVY announced they were there quietly and gave Celica their wishes and how they were there for her, Coco saw Sylvia's face and motioned for her team to give Sylvia some privacy. When they were alone Sylvia finally spoke up quietly apologising and once again blamed herself for what happened apologising for her actions.

Despite the conversation with Coco Sylvia had another plan she had been thinking of even before she found out that Celica was hospitalized. Knowing Celica couldn't respond or know if she was even hearing her, Sylvia said she'd be there for her while she got better but once she was cleared to leave hospital she to would leave and teared up stating that she did nothing but hurt her and that she didn't deserve that.

She got up and wiped her tears away before waving Team CFVY back in with nobody the wiser about Sylvia's plan...
