Zelena threw the photo of Emma and Regina at the party onto the table with an unpleasant look on her face.

"What the hell is this?!" She asked furiously.

Regina could only look down, not meeting her sister's eyes, and mumbled guiltily.

"I'm sorry…"

"Don't say you're sorry! It made me even more angry to hear it! Instead of saying sorry just tell me why did you come with Emma to the party? And why did you wear her necklace?! I told you to throw it away?"

Suddenly Zelena gasped.

"You wore it to show off to me isn't it?!"

"No! She forced me to wear it!"

"Why did you let her? The Regina before would never let anyone, let alone Emma, tell her to do anything she didn't want to!"

Zelena lifted both her eyebrows and said with suspicion.

"Have you changed then? Even though I told you the sister between us would end, you still hid things from me! Or does Emma Swan take such good care of you, huh?!" Zelena sneered

"You saw what she wanted you to see! In fact, it's not like that at all! She's…" Regina protested and her breath hitched as the tears filled her eyes.

"What? What did she do to you?"

Zelena took a step toward her and grabbed her arms tightly.

"Tell me, Regina!"

She cried and wanted to step back from her sister's hold but Zelena squeezed her arms and it hurt.

"You're hurting me!"

"Stop crying and tell me!"

While trying to make Regina tell her Zelena accidentally saw the necklace still on the brunette as she shook Regina's arms and the shirt was off the side.

Zelena was furious at her sister.

Regina was frightened at the look in Zelena's eyes. She raised her hands to protect herself and grabbed onto her sister's hands which tried to yank her shirt away.

"If Emma can tell you what to do then I can too! TAKE IT OFF!"

"ZEL!"

"If you don't take it off then I'll do it myself!"

Regina stumbled back as Zelena was trying to yank on her shirt to get to her neck but she pushed the hands away making her sister lose her balance, and stumbled backward down on the floor.

Regina was breathing hard and didn't realize the red-haired woman's next move.

She stumbled back and lost her balance as Zelena backhanded her in the face. She fell on her bottom to the floor this time.

"What the hell?! Zelena!"

She was hurt and shocked at her sister's reaction toward her necklace and couldn't believe her own eyes that her sister hit her.

Tears spilled out of her eyes as she looked back at Zelena with so much hurt and all she saw in those eyes was anger.

"Take the fucking necklace off!"

Zelena tried to straddle her waist but she scooted backward but not fast enough that she was grabbed by the shirt again and Zelena was trying to yank her at her neck.

"What the fuck are you doing!? STOP!" A voice was heard behind.

They both flipped their heads at the sound to find the blonde standing there with an unpleasant look on her face.

Emma saw the moment Zelena tried to yank the necklace from Regina's neck. She rushed in to push the crazy woman away, pulling Regina up and standing in front of her as Zelena tried to get back to her sister again.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Emma yelled at Zelena.

Her stomach clenched at the sound of crying brunette behind her and a fist gripped her shirt tight when Zelena stepped forward them.

"None of your damn business! She's my family! You're not relevant!"

"This is my home so everything that happened in this house is my damn business!"

"Fine!"

Then Zelena came straight to take Regina's hand back and said

"I'll take my sister outside and talk!"

Emma didn't let her and took Regina's other hand, pulling the brunette back to her side. She looked at Zelena with fire in her eyes.

"Let her go."

"No!"

Zelena yanked again and Regina cried out at being pulled.

"Stop this! Don't act like a child! You let your anger on your sister and hurt her! If you're not satisfied with me then come at me." Emma dared.

"What I do to my sister is none of your business still! Come with me, Regina!" Zelena yanked on the brunette's hand again.

"Let go of her!" She pulled Regina back.

"Come with me!" Zelena yanked

"NO!" Emma yelled.

Regina was being pulled back and forth like a damn rope. She was hurt and crying her eyes out at the situation she was in. She could only listen to them argue about her.

"You're the one who used my sister as a fucking tool to get back at me! If you hate me then come at me, why hurt my sister?! You didn't come at me because you don't have it in you!"

Zelena yanked again and said to her sister.

"Come with me!"

"I said no!"

Emma pulled the hand back not wanting anyone but her to touch Regina at this point. The crying woman was hers to protect and she wanted to do that from now on.

"Regina-!"

"Stop this nonsense both of you!"

A shout from Christ behind them both made them stop. Regina took that moment to yank her hands back and ran away from them.

Christ walked to stand in front of Zelena and his voice turned soft at the words.

"Zel, let Regina go, okay? She's been through too much already."

Zelena could only nod and looked hurt at the reprimand from her husband. She was not the one who hurt her sister.

"Are you telling me that I hurt my sister? Tell that to your daughter, Christ!" Zelena yelled and ran back into the house in frustration. Christ followed after his wife to calm her down.

Emma stood there in silence, listening to what Zelena said. Her stomach clenched at the thought of her being the one who had hurt Regina all these time.

It was her.

She was the one who hurt Regina, not Zelena.

Emma walked back into the house and found Regina sitting at the chair in the dining room. She went to the fridge and pulled out an ice pack, knowing the hit would swell.

She stopped behind Regina's chair. Her heart broke at the shuddering shoulders in front of her. Regina seemed so small when she cried. Emma wanted to hold her and make her stop crying, she loved the feeling of having Regina in her arms.

She gripped the icepack tightly in her hands and shifted on her feet as she didn't know how to approach the woman she cared. She was not used to caring for someone. She wanted to cry when the other was crying too, she never felt any of that before.

Emma didn't know how to act the same around Regina. She couldn't show her softer side as that would make Regina see her weird or worse, thinking she was onto something again.

So the blonde just stepped in front of Regina and handed out an ice pack toward her.

"Put this against your cheek, here."

Her voice sounded harsher than she intended to and when Regina looked up at her with those red eyes, Regina's cheek turned a shade darker, and her face fell at the sight immediately.

"I don't need your pity. I'm fine." Regina said her voice was hoarse and raspy from all the crying.

The brunette turned her body to the side, avoiding the blonde altogether. She could take whatever her sister threw at her. But what the blonde intended to do to her with all this caring shit, she couldn't take it.

Emma gritted her teeth at her pride being denied by Regina. She just wanted to take care of Regina but the brunette didn't want anything to do with her.

And she wondered why and it all came back to her.

She was the one to blame.

"You know, you're not wrong this time. You're allowing your sister to walk over you!" Emma started and wanted Regina to see that her sister was not a good person.

"I let her because she's my sister! Don't you dare act like you know us enough to try to talk me against her."

Regina snapped at the blonde and her upper lips curled into a sneer.

"You loved it didn't you, seeing Zelena hit me! You're satisfied to see us fight and see me in this fucking state!"

Emma's heart was being torn apart at every word Regina said back to her. It was like everything she said or tried to do was making Regina think the opposite of her.

And she deserved it.

"I'll tell you what, Emma. Whatever she does to me, I will never hate her."

Regina looked straight into her green eyes.

"The only one I will hate is you."

That sentence was like a nail in her coffin. Her eyes burned and she sucked her cheeks hard, not wanting to make Regina see that her word had hurt her. She placed the ice pack on the table and walked out, leaving Regina alone.

Regina must have hated her so much. Everything she did to her was now coming back to haunt her in the face.

The brunette sat there, tears slipping down her cheek as she saw the blonde's face fall at her last declaration before Emma went out of the room.

She was confused and her heart clenched as she saw how her words affected the blonde.

Back then Emma would lash out at her for daring to say things that liked.

But now everything had changed.

"You must see me as an evil woman by now," Zelena said with a sad voice as they were back in the bedroom.

"No, darling. I know you're like this because you care about your sister. But your worry might hurt her by accident. Have you thought of that?"

"How could I stop caring about her?! When Emma tries so hard to bully her! to use her even! I can't stop worrying about her."

"Zel, you don't need to worry about Emma anymore." Zelena looked up at Christ and lifted her eyebrow confused at what he was trying to imply here.

"Because Emma will stop hurting Regina, eventually."

"Why are you so sure?"

"I've never seen Emma protect any woman like she did with Regina today! She might used Regina as a tool to get back to you in the past but now…"

Christ smiled

"Regina is the woman that she'd cherish for the rest of her life, even if she doesn't know it herself yet."

"No! Not true! A woman like Regina?! A woman like that could change Emma Swan? I don't believe it!"

Zelena shook her head in denial.

The blonde wouldn't love someone like her sister. She didn't like this information one bit.

How could the blonde love Regina and not her?

That evening Regina sat in her bed as she was tired. Her face ached from the slap and her head hurt slightly. She was sad that her sister might hate her now. She just wanted to sleep the day off.

Suddenly someone knocked on her door. She sat up a little in her bed, preparing if someone or the blonde was to barge in. She frowned and yelled.

"Who is it?!"

"It's late now, aren't you hungry?" Emma's voice was on the other side.

"No."

Then a silence. Regina sighed in relief and sank back into her pillow.

Why did Emma keep following her around?

Had the blonde not got anything else to do but go after her or something?

Her peace was interrupted as she heard the jiggling sound of the key of her doorknob. She abruptly sat up on the bed as the blonde came in and went to stand beside her bed.

Regina all but jumped out of the bed and put the distance between them.

"Miss Swan?!"

Emma took a step closer to Regina and asked with worry in her eyes. She just wanted to know why Regina was hiding up here and didn't go downstairs to have dinner.

"I haven't seen you have any dinner yet, why?" Her voice turned soft as she did not have any fight to give to the brunette.

"I'm not hungry."

Being this close to Regina, she just wanted to hold her again. She was so worried that it showed on her face and she knew Regina saw it since the brunette frowned at her in suspicion.

Emma reached out to touch Regina's forehead and the brunette stepped back from her touch, face all scrunched up at being touched by her.

Regina then tried to turn and walk away from her.

She didn't want Regina to hate her touch, it made her heart ache and she didn't like it.

Emma was slightly drunk from the two or three glasses of drink she had earlier upon not finding Regina in the dining room with her as usual.

The blonde abruptly came up behind the smaller woman and simply put her arms around Regina's waist, holding her and the smell of Regina's shampoo, making her nuzzle her nose into the nape of the brunette's neck.

She missed holding Regina that was what she knew.

And Regina stopped struggling and let the blonde hold her. Being in the blonde's strong embrace, made her feel safe which was the opposite of what the blonde had done to her. She hated this feeling.

"Your body is not warm."

Emma mumbled against Regina's neck, her front pressing against Regina's entire back. She let out a content sigh at being able to hold the woman she cared for in her arms again, even if it was from behind.

Regina scrunched up her nose as she could smell the alcohol on the blonde's breath beside her.

Her stomach rumbled at the smell.

She tried to yank the hands from her body and get rid of the smell that made her want to throw up. She was sensitive to the smell recently.

Regina turned her head to the other side but Emma followed her and moved her head to the same side, nuzzling her other neck instead. She sighed out loud.

Seeing this side of the blonde that no one got to see except her made her heart clenched with something she didn't want to feel.

"You're drunk! Leave me alone." Regina snapped

Upon seeing the disgusted look on the brunette's face, Emma's face fell.

Emma was hurt that hugging her made Regina revolt against her. She couldn't stand the sight.

She did things that she never did with Regina before. Emma let her arms go and Regina was free from her embrace.

The brunette turned to face her and lifted her eyebrow to see how down Emma was upon her reaction which she couldn't control.

"Why can't I be near you when you're my-" Emma blurted out and stopped mid-sentence as she looked at Regina who was waiting patiently to hear what she had to say next.

She swore she could see a glimpse of hope in those brown eyes for a second there.

And she ruined it by saying.

"If you come down with anything, you can't blame me on this, Regina."

Regina's heart shattered again, her hope being crushed at the blonde's lightweight words so she did the same thing to hurt back the one who tried to hurt her.

"Well, I'm in this misery nowadays, it's because of you. Just leave me alone! Don't make me hate you more than this, Emma" Regina sneered out with such loath toward Emma.

Her eyes burned again but Emma swallowed it down. She felt like crying for making someone she cared for could hate her this much.

Regina watched as the blonde turned around and left without saying anything back to her. She bit her lips together. She didn't know why she felt bad for saying that when in fact she didn't feel half strongly at the word she spat out at the blonde.

Regina hugged her middle and simply sank onto the bed.

At the moment Emma was walking out of Regina's room, Zelena who was in the room across from her sister opened the door and saw a drunken blonde walk out of it.

So what Christ said was true about Regina and Emma.

There had to be something going on between them.

She followed Emma downstair and found the blonde drunk at the bar. She watched as Emma placed the glass down hard it clanked the counter. The blonde abruptly stood up and swayed. The drunken woman tried to walk straight to the bottom of the stairs but lost her balance.

Zelena took the moment to rush into the blonde's side and steady her, putting the blonde's arm around her shoulder and walking the blonde to the couch in the living room.

The blonde was heavier than her and upon sitting down, Emma went limp in her hold and fell back on the couch bringing Zelena down with her on top of the blonde.

She hovered over the blonde and looked into those gorgeous faces she wanted to kiss for so long.

Zelena took advantage of the drunken woman and kissed the blonde's lips.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Emma yelled and frowned at how close Zelena was in front of her.

Emma suddenly stood up and swayed, Zelena tried to steady her but she pushed the hands away in disgust.

"Stop following me! Go away!"

"I'm that obnoxious to you?!"

"YES! You disgust me and I fucking hate you for it!"

"Why?" Zelena cried begging the blonde the say something nice to her once.

"What did I do so wrong that you can't love me?"

"Love?! I don't even want to look at your damn face, woman!"

"Emma! Do you know how much you hurt my feelings?! I thought you have no heart, you don't care about anything, you can't love! but what you did with Regina it's… it made me realize that you care about her! You're into her!"

Emma widened her eyes as Zelela said the word she hadn't admitted to herself out loud.

"You love her! Why can't that woman be me?! I did everything for you" Zelena cried

"You did it all for yourself! You married my father because you wanted to win over me! You never loved him!"

"Yes! I want to win and make you look at me, once! Whatever role I had in your life doesn't matter to me!"

At the truth being spilled out Emma was in rage and hated her even more. Emma was angry that she knew her heart from the enemy,

"Even if you die in front of me, I won't even bat an eye. You think marrying my father will make me look in your way, NEVER! You're just my dad's wife, not important to me! And stay the hell away from me, you obnoxious woman!" Emma sneered with such disgust, that it made Zelena cry again and again at the cruel word.

Regina was walking out of her room as she heard the yelling voices downstairs. Regina went to stand near the balcony of a hallway, both ends led to downstair. She looked down and saw Emma arguing with Zelena.

She didn't prepare her heart for tonight, for the thing she heard next, made her breath hitch in her throat.

It was like a punch in her stomach, and her heart couldn't possibly shatter more than it was.

"And remember I never loved your sister, it was just a game to me!"

Emma curled her lips upward upon seeing Zelena break down on the floor.

She was drunk and said things she didn't mean to.

She had to keep her pride, not wanting Zelena to assume anything before she did. And most importantly not winning.

Regina watched her sister cry. She couldn't move her body just yet. She was hurt and shocked. She wiped at her cheek, not knowing when it was wet. The tears came non-stop as what Emma said rang loud in her ear, it kept repeating in her head.

Emma didn't love her.

She was hurt to know that all the kind act and worry over her was just a game to the blonde, to win over her sister. Even last night when she gave herself to the blonde and still, Emma couldn't accept her feelings when in fact the blonde didn't feel the same as her at all.

Regina choked out a sob in her hands to muffle the sound and ran back into her room as she saw the blonde climbing the stairs.

The next morning Regina stayed in bed, she didn't have the energy to go to work just yet. She was sad, her eyes were puffy from all the crying and she got another headache this morning.

She heard the sound of the door of her bedroom opened and knew who it was. She rolled her eyes and sat in her bed as if her privacy in this damn house was to ask for with this annoying blonde.

"Hi, It's me."

Emma gave her a small smile.

Regina didn't want to see her face.

That face still made her heart stuttered every damn time and she hated it. Her hurt turned into anger suddenly.

"It's rude to barge in, Miss Swan."

"The servant said you're sick so I came to check in on you."

"You must be so pleased since I'm not dead yet." Regina scoffed.

"I don't want you to die, Regina."

Regina chuckled and gave back her sass.

"Right! I'm still useful to you, aren't I? If I die you would have no fun."

"You're overthinking!"

"So what?! I still do not think enough about this! Being a fool to you all the time. What do you gain from coming to see me in my room today, dear? You want Zel to accidentally see us together or what do you want?!"

Emma was confused at the accusation being targeted toward her.

What would she have to do to make Regina trust her again?

Her shoulders slumped and she saw how Regina's eyes were red and puffy, but to her, the brunette was breathtakingly beautiful, she looked so soft in the morning light, that it made her heart clench. She just wanted to hold Regina again. She wanted to talk with her and wanted to know what was on the brunette's mind this time.

But seeing how tired Regina currently was, she didn't want to cause any more pain to her. She didn't want to see Regina recoil to her touch again, even though how much she wanted to reach out.

She will let her go for now.

Regina sighed out loud as Emma walked out of her room. It was weird that the blonde willingly went without grabbing her. But she was glad Emma didn't do any damage this time.

She hated this feeling. She needed to get away from the blonde and she intended to do just that.

"If you need help moving tomorrow, give me a call, Regina?" Daniel said

"It's okay, my things are not much."

Regina gave him a small smile as she shifted the bag in her hand. He was kind enough to give her a ride home.

"Don't hesitate to call, alright?"

"Thanks."

"Umm, Does anyone know about this yet?" He squinted his eyes and asked.

"No…not yet. I haven't told anyone."

"I hope everything goes well tomorrow, see you later, Regina." He smiled at her.

"Thanks for the ride."

Regina smiled back and watched him start the bike and drive away. She sighed in contentment. At least at the end of the day, there were still some good friends left in her life.

Emma stood against the threshold at the front door, arms crossing on her chest. The blonde watched as Regina turned around and was surprised to see her standing there waiting for her.

"So you went on a date?" Emma asked.

"Yes, so what does that have anything to do with you?"

"How dare you go with him and not tell me where you were this evening?!" Emma said, her lips were in thin line.

She was hurt that Regina lied to her to go with that dumb face. She could be the one to pick the brunette up not him.

"Move on already, Swan! I have a life and you have one too. We just have to go our separate ways."

"You used him to give you a ride home so you didn't have to go with me, was that move-on enough for you?"

Emma smirked at the dead glare Regina gave her.

"I didn't use him! He was glad to"

"If he knew about us, would he still want you?" Emma threatened.

Emma moved closer to the other woman. She looked into those brown eyes that filled with irritation.

"I told you not to use this to threaten me. If you want to tell him or anyone just go do it! I don't care and I will not let you use me again."

"You think you can run from me, Regina?"

"You'll see, dear." The brunette smirked. And Emma fumed.
