Hotel Suite

Naruto, still catching his breath on the hotel room floor, couldn't help but contemplate the idea of breaking Sazanami out of the hospital before it was too late. He knew that Sazanami's situation was precarious, and the thought of him being captured by the authorities weighed heavily on his mind.

Looking up at Kurenai, he cautiously broached the topic. "Kurenai-sensei, do you think we should... maybe break Sazanami out of the hospital? He's a wanted man, and his injuries could be used against him." Naruto's voice was filled with concern for their ally.

Kurenai, however, shook her head, her expression serious. "Naruto, as much as we want to help Sazanami, we can't risk his life by attempting a rescue just yet. His injuries need more time to heal, and breaking him out now would put his life in even greater danger. We have to be patient and wait for the right opportunity."

Naruto nodded, understanding the wisdom in Kurenai's words. Sazanami's safety was a concern, but they would have to trust that the time would come when they could aid him without putting his life at risk.

Naruto's Room

Naruto, preparing to take a much-needed shower after the exhausting events of the day, undressed in the dimly lit hotel room. As he removed his clothes, a piece of paper slipped from his pocket and fell to the floor. Bending down to retrieve it, he found a map of the outskirts of Kamurodate, with a particular spot marked with elegant handwriting that read, "He is here" with an arrow pointing to the designated location.

When was this slipped in here? Itachi...?

The discovery sent a shiver down Naruto's spine. The message and the ominous feeling it carried were impossible to ignore. Itachi's influence seemed to be ever-present, guiding Naruto toward a destination filled with mysteries yet to be unveiled. The prospect of what lay ahead was both unsettling and intriguing, and he knew that he had to follow this lead to uncover the mysteries that awaited him.

Begrudgingly, Naruto dressed again and made his way to Kurenai's room, map in hand. He presented the map to his sensei, his expression a mixture of determination and unease. "Kurenai-sensei, I found this map with a message... Itachi's message, I think. It says 'He is here,' and it's marked on the outskirts of Kamurodate."

Kurenai studied the map for a moment, her brows furrowing with concern. She knew that following Itachi's breadcrumbs was not without risks, but she also understood the importance of uncovering the truth. Finally, she looked at Naruto and nodded. "We'll go together, Naruto. Itachi is a dangerous man, and we should exercise caution when it comes to him. We'll go and see what's waiting for us at this location, but we'll exercise caution every step of the way."

Naruto felt a surge of gratitude and reassurance knowing that he would face this new mystery, and with an ally at that. With Kurenai by his side, they were ready to embark on the next leg of their journey to uncover the secrets that awaited.

Forest

Arriving at the marked location on the outskirts of Kamurodate, Naruto and Kurenai found themselves facing a shallow grave. The sight was ominous, and they shared a tense glance before realizing that they had no choice but to investigate further.

With grim determination, they began to dig up the shallow grave, their hands moving swiftly to uncover what lay beneath. As the soil was removed, they were met with a grim discovery—a recent corpse. The lifeless body, cold and still, sent a chill down their spines.

Naruto and Kurenai exchanged troubled glances, their thoughts racing to make sense of the situation. This gruesome find raised more questions than answers, and they wondered if they had stumbled upon another piece of the intricate puzzle that was the Uchiha clan and the mysteries that surrounded it.

As Kurenai carefully rummaged through the corpse's jacket, her fingers brushed against several items that had been stolen by the thief they had been pursuing. It was a chilling realization, and her brows furrowed in deep thought.

Turning to Naruto, she spoke in a hushed tone. "Naruto, this thief, the one we've been chasing, it seems that Itachi must have found and killed, then disguised himself as him."

Naruto pouted as he considered the revelation.

Why?

The mystery deepened with this discovery, and the enigma surrounding Itachi's actions became even more confounding. The stolen items hinted at a connection, a link between the thief and the Uchiha clan that was waiting to be unveiled. Naruto and Kurenai knew that they were getting closer to the truth, but the pieces of the puzzle still remained scattered and elusive.

Naruto, feeling a sense of uneaae about the grim discovery, sheepishly suggested, "Kurenai-sensei, what if we bury the body again, and then, when Sazanami's healed and we manage to break him out of the hospital, we take him here and let him 'discover' the grave? It could help mitigate his own bounty, and maybe it's the right thing to do."

Kurenai considered Naruto's proposal. It was a dark, albeit thoughtful and compassionate idea, one that could potentially aid Sazanami while also ensuring that the truth about the recent corpse didn't fall into the wrong hands.

After a moment of reflection, she nodded in agreement. "That's a good plan, Naruto. It would be a way to help Sazanami while ensuring that the thief is brought to account, even if posthumously. Let's do it."

Kurenai couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation, the gravity of their mission juxtaposed with the preposterous act of reburial. It was a moment of shared lightheartedness in the midst of darkness, a reminder that even in the face of danger and mystery, there could be moments of levity.

Naruto joined in with a smile, appreciating the brief respite from the seriousness of their mission. With a shared sense of purpose, they reburied the body, carefully concealing it once more. It was a respectful act, one that would play a part in the ongoing pursuit of justice and the unraveling of the mysteries that had gripped them. As they stood by the makeshift grave, they knew that their mission was far from over, and they were determined to follow the path to its conclusion, no matter how complex and perilous it might be.

Hotel

Back at the hotel, Naruto and Kurenai reunited with their teammates, Hinata, Shino, and Kiba. They explained the plan they had devised concerning the discovery of the recent corpse, its reburial, and their intentions for Sazanami's involvement in the discovery.

Shino, always analytical and considerate of the moral implications, raised a question. "Kurenai-sensei, is this the right thing to do? Manipulating the situation like this, even if it serves a just cause?"

Kurenai understood Shino's reservations and responded with a thoughtful explanation. "Shino, I know it may seem unconventional, but no one's being harmed here. In fact, it's the opposite. By ensuring Sazanami gets credit for the discovery, we're helping him while helping everyone who would already be helped. It's a means to an end, one that serves the greater good. That's what the Will of Fire is about."

Shino, considering Kurenai's reasoning, nodded in agreement. He recognized the complexities of their mission and the necessity of such actions.

Kiba raised an additional concern. "What if someone else stumbles upon the body before we can get Sazanami out? Isn't that a risk?"

Kurenai reassured him, her confidence unwavering. "It's in a location where it won't be discovered unless someone with knowledge of it actively seeks it out. Itachi Uchiha is the only one outside of us who knows about it, and our primary focus is on Sazanami's involvement in its discovery. We'll act swiftly to ensure he takes credit before anyone else has a chance."

Kiba, satisfied with the explanation and the approach, nodded in agreement. With the team aligned on their course of action, they were ready to face the challenges that awaited them, maintaining control over the secrets they were determined to uncover.

Naruto's Room

After a long and eventful day, Naruto finally found some much-needed relaxation. He took a refreshing shower to wash away the sweat and stress, allowing the warm water to soothe his tired muscles. Once clean and comfortable, he settled down to enjoy a quiet evening.

Naruto stayed up for a few more hours, enjoying a simple meal and watching TV. The familiar voices and stories from the screen provided a brief escape from the events of the day. As the night wore on, he knew that he needed rest.

With a yawn, Naruto finally decided it was time to call it a night. He sleepily brushed his teeth and settled into bed, his thoughts filled with the mysteries they were unraveling. As sleep claimed him, he knew that the next day would bring new challenges, but he was determined to face them head-on.

He dreamt of a picnic with Sakura.
