ESKK: A brand new chapter let's begin.
(Start Malastare)
It was a trying day for the planet of Malastare, especially as the fierce battles that raged on it upon its soil. It's because of how the Separatist and the Dark Falz Collective wanted to claim the planet and fuel for their own. The first to proceed to the Dug's defense after their own means of combatting the droids and Falspawn united forces were proven unaffected against the technical and weapon advantage of the Droid/Falspawn army. Especially as it seemed that there were more reported Falspawn corrupted Droids than in any other battle since the introduction of ARKs to the Clone Wars. Chancellor Palpatine felt that desperate times called for desperate measures, especially when it involved one of their vital fuel resources that helps them maintain the republic's army.
The clone army of the 501st Battalion and the 91st Recon Corps. stood ready to meet the army that would allow the republic pilot to drop the Republic's newest weapon, a hybrid technological weapon called an "Electro-Photon bomb". It was composed of both ARKs and Republic technology that would deal a blow to the combined force of the Droids and Falspawn.
At the battle ground's front, Captain Rex led a squad of his brothers over and saw the approaching army. With the Clones were ARKs Operatives mainly Yuvel, Laura, and Zurna leading a few nameless troops. None of them were CAST as ordered by the Jedi Generals. None of the CAST were a part of this battle because of their unique build the bomb might shut them down as well. Rex then looked through his electro-binoculars and seeing the forces moving on them. "That's a lot of Clankers." Rex said as he saw the encroaching enemy forces.
"You're telling me." Yuvel said as he saw their enemy on the march. "We also got a shit tone of Falspawn also." He added as je activated his own binoculars.
"Any Dark Falz?" Rex asked and thus Yuvel sighed to this.
"None." Yuvel confirmed as that was the only good news about this.
(Meanwhile Dug Palace)
Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Dr. Boll, Doge Urus, Rinko, and the holograms of Chancellor Palpatine and Arthur watched from the imperial palace of the Dug leader as the Droid/Falspawn army marched. "I will not allow my people to become separatist slaves." Doge said as he was intent to fight until his last breath if he had to.
"Rest assure you Doge Urus, the combined force of our army will not let that happen." Palpatine assured the Dug leader, respectfully. He then gestured to the female scientists of the group as Rinko still made everyone unnerved like the mad scientist she was. "Dr. Boll, and the Dr. Rinko stated that only the droids and the Falspawn are affected by the bombs photonic electronic field." Palpatine assured the Dug knowing this will be the first test of the weapon.
"Yes, the clones and your people will be quite safe; we have foreseen every possible outcome." Dr. Boll assured the Dug leader as Rinko yawned a bit.
"Yeah, I tripled checked the data, ran it through every simulation's bypassed the safety protocols, because safety is for idiots, and should ensure maximum damage to any Droid of Falspawn in the area." Rinko said as her scientific mind was only hampered by her lack basic safety protocols.
"How is she not in prison yet or at least a padded room?" A random ARKs Operative asked while taking a few steps away from the crazed Scientist. Quite frankly its only because she's the brains behind every major breakthrough ARKs have had since its conception in this Galaxy. But even then, the Council of Six have tried to get Rink to exercise some caution in her experiments.
"Doctor Rinko's madness aside I do wish there was an alternative to the use of this weapon." Arthur added as he agreed with the Jedi to have all the CAST fallback to a safe location to avoid being caught in the blast. "According to the test reports the blast range has forced every CAST to remain on the orbiting ships to avoid possible affects to them by the bomb." Arthur said as Anakin agreed on that after seeing Reggie refuse to leave the ship using R2 as a living shield from the possible blast.
"I'm afraid not, my friend." Palpatine stated as he looked to the battlefield. "This bomb is our only hope for victory now." He added as Arthur knew they had no choice in the matter.
"The droids are on the move." Anakin announced, all eyes turned to the battle as Arthur's hologram then deactivated.
(The Battle)
The commanding Falspawn corrupted Tactical Droid observed the area and saw the Clone and ARKs forces ready for a fight. "GO! GO!" The Tactical Droid ordered and in turn the Droids all began to open fire as did the Falspawn with range weapons. This began the latest battle for this planet as Falspawn that did not have range attacks to use, charged at the Republic ARKs forces.
"We just have to hold them back until the bomb drops." Rex said as Yuvel had his rifle out firing at the Falspawn while Laura was firing off her techniques from her staff and Zurna was firing with her Gunblade.
"Easier said than done!" Yuvel called out as he bashed one Falspawn with his rifle and then proceeded to slash it with his sword.
Just then Vulture Droids took to the air as well as several insectoid and avian Falspawn. The Clones and ARKs Operatives who saw this quickly moved into action to stop them. Using their tanks, the combined forces opened fire on the fliers taking a few of them down causing them to crash. The battle continued as Laura then switched to a Katana showing she was practicing the Braver Class a bit to compound with her Force Class. Any Falspawn that got to close Laura made sure to make quick work of them while Zurna went melee mode with her Gunblade.
Spider Droids were seen entering the battle as Yuvel knew that they only got one shot to finish this fight with the new Electro Photonic Bomb. A few of the Dugs charged into the battle as Ven saw them getting gunned down by the Droids for it. One had actually managed to make it to the enemy and stabbed his weapon into one the spider droids. The Dugs used their catapults to shoot their disc like mines and ARKs EMP grenades on the Vulture droids.
The pilot in charge of delivering the bomb flew; the formation tighter as he approached the drop zone, even as he got the reminder from General Skywalker about having only one shot at delivering the weapon.
Yuvel saw what was going on and knew that they had to get to cover now. "Guys bombs inbound take cover!" Yuvel called out and thus the group all ran to find some cover from the blast coming their way. In turn the ARKs Operatives assigned to the mission on the Dug home world of Malastare watched as the bomber with the electron bomb, dropped it in the center of the enemy line. The explosion began before becoming an electric field that spread throughout the entire complex and the immediate battlefield.
Every electronic device began to shut down due to the weapons EMP Effect. Even the MAGs were forced to shut down due to their technological origins. The blast even went as far as the base of operations in this situation opting many ARKs Operatives to duck and cover from it.
(Meanwhile Back at the Base)
The Blast ranged eventually reached the palace as everyone shielded themselves from it. All the while Rinko was laughing her ass off like the mad scientist that she was accused of being. As the dust began to settle so too did Rink's laughter as she saw the state the battle ground had been left in.
"And you said bypassing safety protocols was a bad idea, Master Jedi." Rinko boasted as she grinned at Windu. "Best part nothing important explodes." Rinko boasted further as she was facing away from the battle. "All in all, this weapon has performed as predicted." Rinko boasted with a haughty prideful look on her face. But this was ruined by the sound of a blast to go off behind her causing her to open her eyes wide in shock. "Well science is trial and error." She said trying to save face from the universe proving her wrong.
"The ground is sinking." Mace Windu as he saw what was happening.
"Ok this invention may have worked a little too well." Rink added as she saw the chaos going down and without any means of warning them due to the EMP effects, the troopers were on their own.
(Back to the battle ground)
Yuvel saw the sinkhole and went wide eyed to what he saw seeing. "Run for it!" Yuvel called out and thus everyone began to run like the wind. The ARKs Operatives used their Photon Dash to escape the growing sinkhole grabbing anyone of their own on the way out.
"I hate that mad scientist!" Zurna cried out while also running from the growing sinkhole.
The sinkhole grew in diameter and not only was it engulfing most of the Droids that were in its epicenter, but also the Dugs and Republic Clone forces that weren't able to get away in time. Several of their own downed vehicles also fell into the sinkhole with several troops that were still trapped inside them. Running away several ARKs Operatives were seen holding up several of the downed troopers while escaping the sinkhole which continued growing in size and diameter.
After some time, the sinkhole eventually came to a halt as the chaos with it began to subside as well. Everyone began to let off a sigh of relief after narrowly escaping the sinkholes formation.
Yuvel and his teammates Laura and Zurna saw the Sinkhole and needless to say they were surprised how close they came to dying just then. "Reminder to Rinko, check locations your about to drop a bomb on for possible sinkholes." Yuvel said while he was catching his breath.
"Agreed." Laura said as she would rather not go through something like that again in the near future.
(Scene Break after the battle)
Back at the castle cleanup operations had already begun to recover any survivors or bodies from the massive sinkhole. In the castle Arthurs hologram was back as well as Palpatine's after the bomb caused all electronic devices to go offline. The area was now safe for the CAST to move in and provide aid without fear of their own bodies being shut down by the blast of the bomb.
"The droid army was completely neutralized by the bomb." Windu reported as Yuvel and Rex were back in the base. "The Falspawn had also been eradicated and as we speak, we are going through the F-Factor neutralizing protocols." Windu added as the two holograms stood there. "But the blast created a sinkhole which engulfed many of our troopers as well as the majority of the enemy forces." Master Windu reported, as they lost some people down there, they just needed confirmation. "We have search parties looking for them now." Windu added and in turn Palpatine asked the major question here.
"And the Dugs, have they signed the treaty?" Palpatine asked with concern knowing how much the Republic clone forces needed the fuel.
"No, Chancellor, the treaty must be passed by the council." Doge said as he walked forward making himself known.
"We need that treaty signed so we can gain access to the fuel reserves here on Malastare." Palpatine said making it clear why they needed those fuel lines. "Without it, our armies shall remain vulnerable." He added making their concern for this situation clear to the leader.
"I will do my best." Doge Urus said to the human before Rex and Yuvel got an alert from the frontlines.
"Sir, we have a report from the front. They've lost contact with the rescue team." Rex reported as Yuvel spoke up next.
"Same here." Yuvel said and in turn it seemed a new problem always popped up for them especially after solving one of their problems.
Mace Windu sighed hearing that as it was a sigh a tired resignation. "One problem always seems to replace another…" Windu said and in turn they had to start moving to go look for the teams and any possible survivors.
(Scene Break on the front)
Those onboard chose to remain quiet, especially since it was the Doge's behest that the Republic aided them in their time against the Separatist's assault. When they landed the Doge was the first to get off the gunship and approached several other, Dugs. Now that they were here, they could start searching for information for the survivors and the search teams who had gone to search for any sinkhole survivors.
"You deal with the treaty and Doge Urus. I'll help the rescue team in the crater." Windu said to Anakin who in response shrugged subtly before he got off while the gunship flew off to the crater where ARKs Operatives were waiting for their arrival.
(Later down in the sinkhole)
The Gunship landed inside the crater to which Windu and the ARKs Operatives got off to begin their search. "Split up if you see anything, contact me." Windu ordered and thus they all began their search for any possible survivors.
The group split up into pairs one ARKs Operative for every Clone Trooper out here. They began the search in earnest with the hopes that they would be able to locate any of the missing Clone Troopers and ARKs Operatives.
In their search Zed shouldered his gunblade as he and Mace Windu proceeded with their search for the missing people. Looking around it was clear that something had happened here judging by the marks on the stone belonging to humanoids. They saw the marks thanks to Zed's Mag flashing a light on it and Mace Windu's ignited Lightsaber.
"What do you suppose happened to them, general?" Zed asked with concern over his fellow ARKs Operatives and the missing Clone Troopers.
"I have no idea, commander, but we'll know if we find anything." Windu said inspecting the walls as he saw the handprints all over them.
Zed studied the prints for a few moments before turning to the ground. It was there that the ARKs Operative saw an abandoned Clone trooper helmet. "General Windu." Zed spoke as he walked over to the helmet.
Mace turned and saw the helmet causing him to grow concerned. Just as Zed was examining it, they soon received a call from one of the troopers. "General Windu! Commander Zed, we found them!" Ponds called out and in turn the group knew they needed to move.
(Later)
The group arrived to find several Clone Troopers on the ground as were some ARKs Operatives. Thankfully, they were alive and well if not a bit raddled from the incident. "Hey, ARKs Operative, you're going to be ok what happened here?" Zed asked as he helped the ARKs Operative to his feet while Xenia and Reina were healing the others and Garron was clearing debris to find any more of those who were still missing. The fact Garron was clearing out the debris and rocks with only his bare fists had long since become the norm for many Clone Troopers.
"I don't know all I can say is that there's something else down here and it's not a Falspawn and it ain't Separatist either." The Operative said to which Zed and Windu both grew concerned over the words spoken here.
"Alright." Zed said with a nod before standing up. "General Windu." Zed began and in turn he was already on it.
"I know, Trapper, Ponds, Hawkeye, Garon, and Zed with me." Windu said as the Force and Techer remained behind to handle healing those still here while they went to scout. Leading them Windu pulled out his communicator to contact Anakin with an update of the situation down here. "Skywalker, something strange is going on. I think you should come down here." Windu said and in turn got the response.
"On my way." Anakin said and in turn cut the comm links.
"Anything?" Windu asked as Zed was sensing the Photons in the air.
"No F-Factor its quiet too quiet." Zed said as Garon growled to this but followed none the less. His Mag was using its Sonar to scan the area for any signs of trouble. Whatever was going on had them all a tad bit on edge at the moment.
(Meanwhile Back with Anakin)
Anakin was loading up on his Starfighter as Yuvel looked to him with concern. "What has General Windu so spooked?" Yuvel asked as he was doing maintenance on his ARKs Standards issue Gunblade.
"No clue that's why I'm heading down there to help." Anakin said from the cockpit of his starfighter.
"Well, whatever it is." Yuvel began as he finished up his work and holstered the weapon. "Good luck." He said and with a nod Anakin took off to see what problem Master Windu has found himself in.
(Back with Windu's Group)
Two ARKs Operatives and three Clone Troopers followed after Windu as they were continuing their search. Though Zed noted something strange which was the ground they were on. It looked different from the rest of the stone around them. It might be a fossil or something else entirely and Zed was really hoping it was just a fossil on which they were walking.
"Sir, there's nothing around here but rocks and debris." Pongs said as he looked to his Jedi General.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Windu said just before the ground beneath their feet began to rumble. Following it up it began to rise much to the ARK's Operatives shock as riding from the debris ahead of them was a massive head of a green-eyed creature who in turn saw them before roaring.
Windu drew his Lightsaber while the Clones and ARK Operatives took out their ranged weapons and opened fire on the creature. It rose up and in turn they all fell down to the ground as the massive beast rose up after heaven knows how long of dormancy. "Skywalker!" Windu called out as he spoke into his communicator.
"I'm here Master Windu what." Anakin began to speak only to be cut off by the Jedi Master.
"We need your help!" Windu called out and thus he hung up hoping Anakin hurries up.
"MOVE!" Zed called out as he and Garon Photon Dashed with Garon grabbing Hawkeye and Trapper in his arms while they escaped. "Come on let's go! Let's go!" Zed added as he continued to run quickly for the high ground. Moving through to the safe areas the ARKs Operatives, Clone Troopers, and Jedi Master were trying to get the downed troops to a safe location.
Garon glared at the monster but opted out of attacking for the time being. At the moment they currently had some guys here that needed to be brought over to safety first to get patched up. "Of all the things we had to deal with a Kaiju was not on the list!" Garon growled as the angriest ARK's Operative was no doubt hoping for a save here.
Just then the sound of a Starfighter came in opting the group to look to the source. "Skywalkers Starfighter!" Zed called out thankful for the timely arrival of Anakin. The Starfighter flew in and of course had to avoid hitting the creature seeing as his visibility was close to none here.
"Now's our chance let's go!" Windu called out and thus the group ran for the Gunship lowering down to their location. Once they got into the ship, they took off to avoid dealing with the creature in question.
(Meanwhile on the Surface)
"What's going on down there?" Yuvel asked as he heard the sound of roaring down below.
"Whatever it is, it sounds pissed." Reggie said as he looked down the hole.
"And big." Yuvel said as he then looked to where they kept the Starfighters and the AIS units. "Cover for me." Yuvel said as he made a dash for his AIS having a hunch that Anakin would need their help down there.
(Back in the hole)
Anakin was flying around the creature as he tried to avoid hitting it or being hit by it. Thankfully, his expert piloting skills provided him an edge in this situation. "I've never seen anything like it." Anakin said as he saw the creature in question.
Of course, his moment of distraction cost him as he was hit by the creature's tail. The good news was that Anakin managed to avoid it, but the bad news was that it graced his Starfighter causing it to go on a crash course. Anakin cursed his luck as he tried to regain control of his starfighter, but it would be for not. Alarms were blaring as Anakin new a crash course was inevitable.
Just then from above the hole Yuvel's AIS flew in and was able to grab Anakin's Starfighter before it crashed. Grabbing the ship with his AIS's servos Yuvel held on tight before putting his boosters in full reverse. Thankfully, they skidded a bit but had managed to safely land on the ground.
"You ok, General?" Yuvel asked as he looked to Anakin through his AIS's monitors.
"Yeah, I'll live." Anakin said and thus the creature roared once more. "Not for long if we stay down here with that thing." Anakin said and thus it meant it was time for them to get the Hell out of the hole.
"Ditch the Starfighter." Yuvel said and thus Anakin need not be told twice on this. Jumping out of the ship with Artoo ejecting from his slot. Yuvel managed to grab the both of them before reigniting his boosters to escape the creature.
Flying upward passed the creature Yuvel avoided making the same mistake Anakin did before. Weaving through he was grateful for the AIS maneuvering abilities a testament of its bipedal design. Avoiding being hit by the creature Yuvel fired upon the creature with his AIS rifle. But he was wide eyed in shock when the shots all bounced off of the creature proving to be ineffective in causing harm to it.
"Shit." Yuvel cursed before flying upward. As Yuvel flew upward he began firing off a few rockets at the creature to hopefully distract it while they made their escape with Anakin hanging onto the AIS shoulder and R2 safely secured in the AIS left hand. Eventually they made it to the surface and landed safely on the ledge of the hole in which Yuvel proceeded to place R2 and Anakin on the ground.
"Yuvel?" Windu asked as the AIS kneeled down and the ARK's Operative stepped out of the cockpit.
"Hey there, General Windu how are you doing today?" Yuvel greeted with a cheeky smile on his face.
"Skywalker where is your Starfighter?" Windu asked as he looked to Anakin.
"That thing ate it and would have eaten me if Yuvel didn't show up." Anakin said a bit defensive on his soldier.
"That things, it is a Zillo Beast." Doge said as he approached the group. "They once roamed Malastare, devouring our ancestors." He explained as the rest of Yuvel's squad began to approach them. Reggie looked ready to make a smartass comment but was then elbowed by Zurna before he could do so. "When the Dugs first started harvesting the fuel in the planet's core they were killed off." Doge said and thus Reggie chuckled a bit to that.
"Maybe because they saw their faces and decided to commit suicide." Reggie whispered to Laura who then hit him with the side of her staff. "Ow." Reggie yelped quietly as Laura gave the CAST a glare for his smartass comment.
"They are supposed to be extinct." Doge said seemingly ignoring Reggie for his comment there.
"Looks like you guys missed one." Yuvel said as he looked to Doge.
(Scene Break Later)
The battle had restarted this time with the Dugs trying to kill the last Zillo Beast. They were dropping explosives down on the creature as it roared out from all the bombs coming down on it. Yuvel and his squad saw this from where the Clone Troopers and other ARKs Operatives were on standby. "Well, this is just great we solve one problem and end up with another one." Yuvel said as he watched what was going on out there.
"This is just horrible." Laura said as she looked to Yuvel with concern. "That creature is the last of its kind so by Republic law it's to be protected." Laura said knowing full well that it's an endangered species.
"Didn't stop the Japanese from hunting the whales back home using science research as a complete bullshit excuse." Zurna voiced showing that no matter the species somethings just never change.
"Still is this even right for us to do?" Reggie asked as he looked to his squad mates with concern over what the Dugs were doing to the massive creature. "It's the last of its kind at the very least we can try and transport it to a planet where it can live peacefully and undisturbed until we can clone it and help it repopulate." Reggie said as he was saddened over what they were doing to the massive creature.
"The Jedi will let us know what we're going to be doing, but I can't help but agree with you." Yuvel said as he wanted to save the creature. "I'm going to go help the Jedi out." Yuvel said as he began to head off to meet with Anakin and Windu to possibly help the Jedi convince to Dugs to leave the creature alone.
(Later with Anakin and Windu)
Yuvel met with Zed not long after and in turn they met with their respected Jedi Generals. The Jedi Knight and the Jedi Master saw the battle taking place with Windu having severe objections against the Dugs attack on the Zillo Beast. It seemed that Zed and Yuvel had the same idea and had come to help the Jedi with negotiations. In turn they had opted to speak to the Dug Leaders about the attack on the endangered creature down below. Inside his private tent, Doge Urus and the council members looked over an ancient scroll that depicts the Zillo Beast, the bane of his people for most of their history.
He was pointing out one of the weaknesses when Duge Urus heard the tent open flap. He saw the Jedi coming, and quickly moved to hide his ancestral scroll as the Jedi approached. "What are they doing out there?" Mace Windu asked, his voice holding an edge to it. He knew that several ARKs Operatives upon learning that the creature was the last of its kind had doubts here.
"It is an internal matter, none of your concern!" Doge Urus answered, hostility in his voice clear for all to see.
"Your people are attacking a unique life-form the last of its kind." Zed said coming to the defense of the Zillo Beast and its endangered statues.
"It is a dangerous, blood-thirsty, monster!" Doge Urus shouted at them, his patience with the Jedi and ARKs Operative shown on his face. "Did you forget that it tried to kill you?" He added while glaring at the group.
"It was under attack it had lived peacefully under the surface after all these years." Windu argued to try and get the Dugs to see reason.
"Until you dropped your bomb which reawakened the beast!" Doge Urus accused in counter to Windu's argument just now.
"Sorry but I think I remember that it was your guys who asked us to drop the bomb that wake the big guy up." Yuvel spoke up glaring at the Dug who led the attack on the last Zillo Beast. "IF it wasn't for us, you guys would be mince meat by the Dark Falz or slaves to the Separatists." Yuvel added as he glared at Doge.
"To save our fuel for you to buy!" Urus shouted and glared at the group before him. "If you want us to sign your treaty then you must help us destroy it!" Urus said slamming his hand down on the table.
"What purpose would it serve to kill it?" Windu asked as he looked to the Dug leader. "If it is really the last of its kind…" Windu began but was cut off by Doge himself.
"IT IS OUR DUTY!" Doge Urus shouted slamming his fist on the table. "Our ancestors warned us that one would return and destroy our civilization." Doge said making it clear that this was not up for debate. "Will you help us or not?" Doge asked as he glared at the Jedi and ARKs Operatives.
"I respect your traditions and your ancestors, but we cannot allow the destruction of an innocent life-form." Windu said as he was exercising patience in talking to this Dug.
"I'm with the General on this, ARKs, is not in the business of genocide." Zed said as he knew many ARKs Operatives will stand with the Jedi on this decision.
"Then there will be no treaty." Doge said glaring at the group with narrowed eyes.
"Master Windu, are you certain this argument is worth it?" Anakin asked with concern over this action. "I mean, after all, it's just one creature. Remember what the Chancellor said." Anakin said hoping to talk Windu into helping the Dug.
"It isn't the creature it's the principle." Windu said as he stood his ground on this.
"He's right, General." Yuvel said being the voice of reason. "The creature is the last of it's kind and if we kill it, we violate everything ARKs stands for." Yuvel said as Anakin saw that the ARKs Operatives heart is in the right place.
"But if we choose to defend the creature, we lose all hope of securing a treaty with the Dugs." Anakin said until Rinko snuck in with the flaps of the tent getting the groups attention.
"Rinko?" Zed asked with concern over the mad scientist being here.
"Gentlemen I think I have an alternative." Rinko said with a grin on her face showing she had been doing her work. Even if she disregarded most safety measures Rink was still a member of ARKs at the end of the day.
(Scene Break the Command Center)
The Republican officers reported their findings to Chancellor Palpatine, with a scaled hologram of the newly dubbed "Zillo Beast" by the Dugs as visual proof.
"How remarkable, I have never seen anything quite like this before." Palpatine said as he studied the scaled hologram of the creature before him. Arthur was there as well as he observed the creature but had noted how the Chancellor sounded almost excited over the creature.
"I recommend that we transport the Zillo Beast off planet. We can find a place for it to be undisturbed in the Outer-Rim." Mace Windu said, wanting to save the creature's life, despite how it almost killed him down at the hole.
"What do the Dugs have to say about on this matter?" Palpatine asked as he looked to the group.
"They want us to destroy it." Mace said, showing his dislike of this idea in his voice.
"Then by all means help them. This creature is of no importance to us. We cannot be alienating the Dugs at this crucial time." Palpatine said and thus Arthur spoke up in argument against this plan.
"With all due respect Chancellor this creature is an endangered species the last of its kind and as such is protected by Republic law." Arthur said as Rinko was waiting for her moment to shine here.
"Chancellor maybe we should consider the positives here." Rinko offered as she looked to the Chancellor. "We've hit the creature with some of our best weapon's AIS included and it didn't even face it." Rinko said showing the data Yuvel provided her from the AIS.
"Chancellor Dr. Rinko may be on to something what if we studied the creature." Dr. Boll said as she brought in her two cents on the possibilities that this creature provided for their forces. "If we were able to duplicate it for our ships and soldiers then we'd have…" She trailed off and thus Palpatine got the gist of what it could do.
"An impenetrable armor." Palpatine stated, catching on what the good doctor was leaning towards. Arthur could see a smile forming at what it could do for his people to help them win the war.
If Arthur could smile, he'd be of similar mindset as what Palpatine was thinking. This could help ARKs better combat the Dark Falz Collective and their Falspawn. If all goes well, they could even use this to combat the Profound Darkness itself.
"That is where my idea comes in." Rinko said showing the simulation of what she had planned after imputing the codes for it. The holo table then showed the battlefield in the simulation. "If we modify the beams from the tanks and strategically aim for the gaps in between the scales and armor we can deliver a nerve shock to the creature just enough to knock it out cold." Rinko explained the plan as the simulation showed just that with the creature playing dead on it in an almost comedic way with it on its back and legs sticking up.
"She's right, right, by all counts it would appear to be dead for all to see." Boll said as she saw the idea Rinko had made for them to use.
"Yeap and once the big guy out there is out, we load him up on a ship transport him to an outer rim world and release him back into the wild." Rink said as the simulation showed that part and ended with a happy Zillo Beast frolicking through a random outer rim world.
"That may be the only way we can get this treaty signed and assure Master Windu's and our ARKs ally's consciouses." Palpatine said agreeing with the plan of action with a tone that sounded off for some reason. Mace Windu raised a brow at Palpatine's words, but Arthur was the only one who seemed truly suspicious of the elderly human's tone. "Report to me as soon as it is done." Palpatine bid, his hologram disappearing.
"Okay… we really need to make it look good." Anakin stated as Rinko smirked to this.
"Just give me hour I can get our tanks set up with the proper calibrations to knock big daddy outside out cold." Rinko said with a savage grin on her face.
(Later on, the battlefield)
After getting everything the Jedi and the Clone Army got into their RX-200 Falchion-class assault tanks and drove out of the palace to the edge of the Sinkhole's crater. With them were some of ARK's own Tanks driving out to aid the Republic in neutralizing the creature to transport it off world to a safe location. The weapons were all modified by Rinko to produce a stun frequency to knock the creature out cold.
Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker got up from their hatches as they were accompanied by Yuvel and Zed. "I am glad you and ARKs can see things our way, Jedi." Doge said as he looked to the group as they approached him. "But you are a fool to think that your weapons, no matter how advanced ARKs weapons are, can scratch the Zillo Beast." Doge Urus stated as if it was the only fact on the planet.
"Dude I'll be real with you these weapons aren't normal they were built and designed by the most sadistic, insane, and reckless scientist in all of ARKs." Yuvel said paying credence to Rinko's position as ARK's most infamous mad scientist.
"Impressive, to be sure, but our way is already proven." Doge said as he looked to the weapons with a mild sense of impress on them.
"You're way?" Windu asked with concern clear in his voice.
"I don't like the sound of that." Zed said as he found the words Doge spoke to be concerning.
"Open the Valve!" Doge ordered and in turn the Dugs began delivering the order in their native tongue. With that done the lone Dug at the pipe began turning the valve and in turn began to release the fuel down into the hole.
It was Yuvel who began to realize what was happening here. "You plan to poison it to death?!" Yuvel asked shocked over such a prospect.
"Precisely. Our fuel is deadly to the beast. It is how our ancestors were able to kill the rest of this monstrous species in the past. And like the others, it will kill this one now." Doge Urus said smirking as they could hear the Zillo beast screeching.
"You're only going to make it worse!" Yuvel argued as he tried to get the Dug to stop what it was doing to the poor creature.
"If you drive it out of its hole it'll make it more difficult to su-successfully to deal with." Zed said almost saying subdue but catching himself before he let it out. Mace Windu's expression hardened as he saw the Dug's method of dealing with the beast.
"We'll handle it, ARKs." The Dug said as Yuvel was about ready to go ballistic on the Dug leader.
The sounds of the explosions from the dug's bombs caught their attention. "Order them to stop!" Windu snapped as he glared at the Dug.
"What? What do you mean stop?" Doge asked sounding surprise at those words.
"You know… stop? Don't go? Halt before you make it worse?" Zed said as he let a little smartass slip out of his mouth. After one last roar Yuvel lost it and jumped down before pulling out a pair of twin guns and pointed them at Doge. Yuvel had been gunning to be the first to regain the Hero Class since they had arrived here and would do well as such.
"We won't ask again, stop them now!" Yuvel snapped as he glared at the being before him.
"Or what? We are innocent life-forms too. Are we not?" Doge Urus asked in a taunting tone showing that he wasn't afraid as he held up his feet-hands.
"Innocent lifeforms don't play the slow and painful torture route." Zed said as he had his Gunblade ready to start blasting if it was needed.
Before things could escalate any further, they, all heard another screech-like roar, even as Anakin jumped out to try and diffuse the situation. All eyes turned to see the Zillo Beast pull itself out and roar at all those who wanted to hurt it. Doge Urus stared in horror, realizing that the Jedi were telling the truth about driving the beast out of its hole like prison. With a swipe of its flexible but powerful arm, the Zillo beast sent a Dug debris loader and railgun away. Then it sent two more down into its former prison as it continued to climb out to face those who were attacking it.
"It's, Go Time!" Zed called out and thus both he and Yuvel joined the Jedi inside the tank.
Once they were inside Windu took the help with the Clones with orders. "Charge up the rays." Windu ordered and in turn the Clone Troopers carried out the order.
Back outside in the battle it was total chaos as Dugs were seen falling back from the approaching Zillo Beast. After marching its way towards them and stepping on as many of the Dugs that were under its feet in its steps.
Once the canons were charged up Windu had his next order just one word. "Fire." Windu ordered and thus the Ion tanks charged their rays and fired, shooting its stun beams at the beast. The beast roared as the beams made contact, whether it did the trick or not, wasn't certain, but it was annoyed enough to one of the tanks and those with it flying away.
Seeing this Anakin grew concerned over this. "Back up back up!" Anakin ordered and thus the tanks all began backing away from the Zillo Beast continuing to fire the stun rays at the creature.
It mostly worked but the beast destroyed three more with swipe of its arm and tail, causing three of the tanks to explode, killing those inside. It then grabbed the two closest tanks slammed them against each other and tossed one at a fuel refinery before doing the same to another tank. But seeing the creature shake its head, like it was showing signs of fatigue.
"It's working! It's working!" Reggie called out as he was in another tank firing on the Zillo Beast.
"Don't let up he's getting sleepy!" Zurna called as they continued the assault on the beast.
After what felt like an eternity of trying to make the Zillo beast drift into an unconscious state, the beast then dropped to its knees. The Zillo Beast was unable to keep its eyes opened any longer, began to fall forward. Hitting the ground hard, the beast stood there in a state that made it look like it was dying, even as the beams stopped.
The hatch for the tank open and from it Yuvel and Zed were the first to exit with Anakin and Windu right behind them. "Holy crap it worked." Yuvel said surprised by the fact Rinko's plan was a success.
"We're certain the crazy doctor's plan worked?" Zed asked as he had his disagreements with Rinko being the head of ARK's Research and Development.
Windu decided to check first and hopped on down to investigate the creature to ensure that it was in good health. Once he was close enough the creature got a good look at the Jedi pair. "Now all we got to do is get him out of here." Windu said as he was glad, they saved it and the Dugs in one sitting.
(Scene Break the next day)
After all the chaos had been settled the Jedi with Yuvel, Rex, Rink, and Dr. Boll were all gathered in the room with a holo table set up. When Dawn had broken the men brought all they could back to the ship with as many of their brothers as well as more vehicles and equipment to transport the creature off Malastare before the Dugs get suspicious, especially since ARKs came up with the lie to convince them that they would dispose of the body off planet for the Dugs after all the losses they suffered.
Once inside the imperial palace, Anakin brought a datapad and held it for Doge Urus to sign with his pen. "Welcome to the Republic, Doge Urus. I am sure that this business arrangement will be mutually beneficial." Palpatine said once the signing was completed. The two Jedi walked away as Springer saw the Dug's leader sneering at them and leaving with the others to prepare arrangements for the fuel to be delivered to the Republic.
Once the Dugs were out of earshot Mace Windu began to address Chancellor Palpatine. "The beast has been loaded up to the transport."
"Indeed, I called in a friend she's the leading Xenobiologist on ARKs and asked if she would like to offer her services to study the creature. Long story short she can't wait to study the Zillo Beast once we find a suitable uninhabitable world for it roam." Rinko said glad that her work here was done.
"There has been a slight change of plans. The Scientific community has reviewed the data of this rather unique creature. They believe that it should be further studied in a more controlled environment before it is released into the wild." Palpatine explained, earning looks from most of those there.
"Wait say what now?" Rinko asked shocked over the words spoken. "And where is this more controlled environment?" Rinko asked having a bad feeling about this.
"Why, Professor, I thought it would be obvious. On Coruscant." Palpatine answered the suspicions of the leading scientist of ARKs which caused Zed and Yuvel to both go wide eyed in shock. "Master Windu, you, General Skywalker and the ARKs Operatives with you will safely bring the beast here." Palpatine said as he spoke to Anakin and Windu for that order there.
Once the hologram disappeared, the two Jedi and the ARKs Operatives all stood there in shock over this. "Well, we made the right choice." Anakin said almost boasting about it there. "We get our fuel, and you get your creature, and now he'll be safe." Anakin said as he was the first to calm down after that revelation.
"No offense Anakin, but the fact that he's gonna be transported to one of the most heavily populated planets, not to mention how it's all one big city, like Coruscant, doesn't scream "Safe" to anyone." Yuvel said as he had a few hundred objections to this choice of action. After all he's seen enough Kaiju movies to know how bad this could turn out here.
"I agree with your ally, Skywalker." Mace Windu stated in full agreement with Yuvel on this choice of action here. "Let's hope that Coruscant will be safe with the Zillo Beast on the planet." Windu said as Zed knew for a fact that the Council of Six will not like this choice of action.

ESKK: Well, here we are another Chapter over and done with sorry for the long delay in getting this published life got in the way and the Zillo Beast Saga had left me stumped as well as the saga to follow.
