ESKK: Well, here we are at long last the battle of Geonosis. I hope you all will enjoy this chapter and continue to support the official release of both series. Now let's get this show on the road, happy reading my friends.
(Start Republic Cruiser Command Deck)
The Republic Fleet exited Hyperspace with ARKs ships by their side. From within the command deck Obi-Wan and Ki Adi Mundi were seen observing Geonosis as it came up on their sight. "I can't believe we're back here again." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the planet where the first battle of Geonosis had taken place sparking the Clone Wars.
"It is unfortunate." Mundi began as Obi-Wan turned to him. "The resistance from the native Geonosians was stronger then, we anticipated." Mundi said as the doors began then was heard opening.
"The same can be said for their loyalty to Count Dooku." Obi-Wan said as soon a new voice was heard.
"But I believe it may pale in comparison to their loyalty to Dark Falz Apprentice." Xect said as he walked in bringing up newly acquired data. "From my research they view Apprentice as some sort of Goddess perhaps something akin to their lore and religion." Xect offered as he looked to the duo.
"Bugs… why did it have to be bugs." Klara said as she truly hated bugs while looking out the window to Geonosis.
"Fear not young one." Mundi said as he looked to the Council of Six member. "They will not be of any trouble for you." Mundi said finding it mildly concerning over Klara's fear of insects.
"Yeah, well I'm more worried it might make me racist due to the fact that some species in the galaxy being of insect origins." Klara said as Xect sighed while going over the data and their battle plans. Klara had the right to be worried as her fear of insects was a constant thing for the girl.
"Klara it's only racist if you refuse to overcome in the presence of an insectoid species with sentience similar to the Geonosians." Xect said not even bothering to look at the girl.
"Bleh!" Klara shot back sticking her tongue out at Xect who ignored her.
Obi-Wan then sighed to this as he knew his forces will be working with Klara's forces. Just then Anakin, Ahsoka, and Arthur walked in as Arthur's Yozora in its sealed form was sheathed on his back. "You're late." Obi-Wan said as he looked to Anakin and Ahsoka who just arrived.
"Sorry, master. Ahsoka and I were busy routing the Seppies near Dorin." Anakin said as he looked to Obi-Wan.
"My squadron alone had 55 kills." Ahsoka boasted as Arthur looked to the two.
"Yeah, but mine had 76." Anakin countered as Ahsoka saw she lost there.
"Show-off." Ahsoka said while rolling her eyes to this.
"As you can see, I had to pick them up on the way here." Arthur said as he looked to the Generals.
"Well, I'm glad you two are enjoying yourselves." Obi-Wan scolded as he looked to Anakin.
"Hey, it's just a little friendly competition, master." Anakin said as he smiled to Obi-Wan. "Nothing to worry about." Anakin smirked only for Klara to jump in.
"Well of course there's nothing to worry about you have the Trio of Heroes backing you up!" Klara boasted as she tried to ignore the planet filled with insect-based species behind her.
"Still its concerning how this war seems to be drawing out without an end in sight made worse by the Dark Falz Collective." Xect said as he thought it over. "Or why Persona seems obsessed with targeting Skywalker." He added only for Klara to freeze up a bit since she and Yaga were keeping Anakin and Padme's secret. They knew well enough that Yaga was smart always 50 moves ahead and if he didn't already know chances are he will find out eventually.
"This is why it's crucial that this invasion meets with success." Arthur said as Mundi agreed with the CAST.
"Agreed." Anakin nodded before looking to Ahsoka. "Ahsoka, contact the Outer Rim Command. We're ready for our briefing." Anakin ordered while Ahsoka was already on it.
"They're already waiting for us." Ahsoka said and in turn it was time for the meeting.
(Scene Break War Room)
The Three Jedi Generals, the Trio of Heroes, Yuvel in his Kranos Ares armor set, and Ahsoka were gathered in the War Room with the holograms of Luminara next to them. Yuvel's armor bore a new crest showing his new rank as Captain meaning he now had equal command power to Rex. Xect had recommended him for the promotion as did Anakin and Arthur approved of it. This meant that Yuvel now had command of the ARKs Operatives in the 501st Battalion and answered directly to Ahsoka and Anakin. Arthur had joined his forces with Anakin's for this invasion and was ready to deploy at a moment's notice.
On the table though were the holograms of Palpatine, Yoda, Mace Windu, and Yaga. No doubt Morgan and Noto were back with the fleet on Halpha holding down the fort. "Our ships are in position, and we're ready to begin our campaign against the Geonosians." Obi-Wan reported as Yaga was seen yawning a bit while listening.
"And what about Poggle? Any reports on his location?" Windu asked and thus Xect spoke up.
"He's hiding out at the primary droid foundry here." Xect cut in pointing out where Poggle was said to be located. "We also know that the insect-based Falspawn have the largest concentration here but beyond the hordes of Falspawn we have a ray shield to deal with." Xect said as he pointed to the shield in question. "It's my theory that Dark Falz Apprentice is hiding out there as well." Xect added and thus Klara nodded to this.
"Well duh bug planet, bug Dark Falz; it's a match made in hell." Klara said as she figured Apprentice would be on this planet it suits her perfect, deserts and insects who rule it.
"I'm guessing you got a plan already brainiac?" Yaga asked as he looked to Xect.
"Yes, to summarize the combined forces of Anakin, Ki-Adi, and Obi Wan with myself, Arthur, and Klara will attempt a three-pronged attack through their defensive line to a staging area short of the shield." Xect explained as he pointed to the area in question.
"Wow splitting up ARKs forces?" Yaga asked with concern over this.
"Has to be done it will allow us to deal with F-Factors on the spot on the way there." Xect said as he looked to Yaga.
"Anyway, once we have landed, we shall move in and knock out the shield generator that is our primary target." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the holograms.
"Isn't it risky committing three generals to one area of the attack? If something went wrong, we could be dealt a serious blow." Palpatine said as he looked to the group.
"That's why we got the Trio of Heroes on the job gramps." Yaga said as he grinned over to Palpatine. "With these guys on the front lines moral won't be going down." Yaga said as he looked away and grinned with his arms crossed.
"To ensure that rise again Geonosis does not, capture Poggle we must." Yoda said but Xect had more to offer.
"Poggle may be the least of our worries we know for a fact that Dark Falz [Apprentice] the Vernal as made her base here." Xect said as he looked to the group. "Logically it makes sense, her ego and vanity would never turn down masses of worshipers at her beck and call." Xect said as he managed to gather this much from data.
"I do worry for young Klara though." Palpatine said as he knew Klara was a representative to the Republic from ARKs and like Yaga the voice of her people.
"Don't worry about us I didn't become a member of the Council of Six and one of the Trio of Heroes for nothing." Klara said as she smiled to Palpatine appreciating his concern for her while Xect was skeptical about it.
"Of course." Palpatine said allowing the soldiers to handle the military matters. "As always, I shall leave the strategy to you, Master Jedi and ARKs Operatives." Palpatine said and thus the group nodded.
"Our thanks, Chancellor." Arthur said as they all did a small bow to the man respectably.
"May the Force be with you." Mace Windu said and thus the communication ended and in turn Rex, Cody and a currently unnamed Clone Commanders were seen entering the war room with Reggie in his, Forger chaste, in tow next to Rex, Oma with Cody, and an unknown Newman ARKs Operative with the unnamed Clone.
"Good, Cody Oma these are the coordinates for the rendezvous." Obi-Wan said as the group saw this.
"Yes sir. When we hit the ground, we'll create a perimeter there." Cody said as he pointed to the area where they would make their perimeter. "Getting past their defenses here will be the trick." Cody said while pointing to the dotted line showing the defensive line.
"General Mundi and Councilman Xect will come across the defensive lines from the North." Cody began as a green ship holo gunship was seen flying in. "Ourselves with Councilwoman Klara will make our assault from the middle." Cody said as a yellow holo gunship was seen flying in on the battle plan. "General Skywalker and Councilman Arthur will make their attack on the defensive lines from the south, and we'll meet at the rendezvous point at 0700 exactly." Cody said as the red holo gunship joined the other two.
"We'll need all the fire power we can acquire to tackle this." Xect said as he looked to the group.
"If we meet with strong resistance and are forced down away from the landing zone, hold out until we can join our forces before attacking the shield Generator." Mundi said as he looked to all his allies.
"I can put up a barrier with my Cosmogenic Arm, but it will be taxing on me." Klara offered as she looked to the group.
"Don't use it unless you absolutely have to Councilwoman." Obi-Wan urged as he'd rather get the Trio of Heroes back home in one piece.
"Their front lines are heavily fortified." Ahsoka said as she noticed something.
"She's got a point I mean look at that giant wall with all the gun emplacements." Yuvel said as he pointed to the wall in question.
"That won't be easy to get past." Ahsoka said knowing that if they end up stuck on the wrong side of that wall it would put the mission in jeopardy.
"Don't worry. We're not going anywhere near that." Anakin assured the two, but Reggie was worried still since he only recently got Quantum, he wasn't too sure on what the Cosmogenic Arm can really do in a fight. And that's not even factoring in that he had gained the Etoile class only recently.
"Come now." Obi-Wan began getting the groups attention. "What happened to all that enthusiasm I saw earlier?" Obi-Wan asked as he looked over to Anakin.
"Don't worry about us. You just make sure you get yourself to that landing zone in one piece." Anakin said as he put a hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder.
"Yes. I shall be waiting for you when you finally arrive. After all you do have most of the big toys in your forces at the moment." Obi-Wan said referring to the Cosmogenic Arms that Arthur, Laura, Reggie, and Zurna have as well as the Scion Classes of ARKs Operatives in Yuvel, Laura, Zurna, and Reggie.
"Gentleman, if you are quite finished, we have a battle to begin." Luminara spoke up getting their attention on her so they may focus on planning.
"Quite right." Obi-Wan said as in turn he and Klara began to take their leave. "Cody Oma, prep the gunships. We'll meet you both in the hanger." Obi-Wan said and in turn the Clone Commander and ARKs Operative understood the order the Jedi gave them.
"Yes, sir/Got it." Cody and Oma responded and were ready to start on the campaign.
(Meanwhile with Laura)
Ships were being prepared for departure as fighters were ready to head out. Meanwhile in a hidden area Laura was scanning herself and seeing how far the F-Factor infection Apprentice gave her had progressed. "F-Factor count at 57.84% treatment at Halpha is highly advices to prevent any further progress." The machine typed but Laura ignored it. Laura was currently dressed in her new Carretera Vinto armor set to show she was a Phantom Class Operative of ARKs.
Laura then heard the sound of fighters and AIS's departing as soon it was followed by a new voice. "Hey Laura!" Yuvel was heard as Laura quickly hid the device after deleting its history. "You ready to go?" Yuvel asked as the Hero Class ARKs Operative looked to Laura.
"Yeah, I'm good to go." Laura said and thus the Phantom Class ARKs Operative hid the device in her inventory storage and with a nod from Yuvel followed the new Captain. As Laura followed after Yuvel she truly hoped she can get this F-Factor infection handled before it spread any further. After all she rather not risk herself being forced to return when Clarissa's power might be needed against the Dark Falz and their Falspawn minions.
(Meanwhile with Obi-Wan and Klara)
A Y-Wing Bombers were deploying into combat with AIS units for support Klara was walking with Cody and Obi-Wan to a gunship ready to deploy. "So, Cody were you a part of the First Battle of Geonosis?" Klara asked trying not to think about all the bugs she was about to be facing down there.
"Can't say that I was Councilwoman." Cody said as he walked with his Jedi General and the young ARKs Leader.
"Well, you didn't miss much." Obi-Wan said as he began to board the gunship. "Last time, I was chained to a pole and attacked by several humongous monsters." Obi-Wan said as he was in the Gunship that was preparing to launch.
"That sounds… entertaining." Cody said with a somewhat nervous tone.
"It was… for the Geonosians." Obi-Wan said and in turn the doors closed, and the ships got ready to launch.
"Bugs… I really hate bugs." Klara moaned as she followed Cody to the gunship, they would be flying out to battle in.
(Later outside)
The Gunships flew out of the Destroyers and began to make their way to the landing zone for their part in the second battle of Geonosis. Explosions went off in the sky as the ground forces opened fire upon the Republic ships to prevent them from landing. Meanwhile the AIS and Y-Wings provided support by acting as escorts to the landing teams for this battle. It was a good thing that they were here since sightings of Falspawn were already being noted all of them being insectoid in origins here.
(Back on the Star Destroyer)
Anakin and his forces were preparing to launch into battle as Arthur joined them with Yuvel and his own team. "We all ready, Rex?" Anakin asked as everyone was loaded into the Gunships.
"Yes sir. General Kenobi is already under way."
"Well, he's got a head start. We'll have to catch up." Anakin said with a smirk on his face before they took off into battle.
"Here we go!" Reggie called out as he held onto the handles above him as they flew.
"Hold strong ARKs." Arthur said as the Gunship took off into the Second Battle of Geonosis.
(Meanwhile with Xect and Ki-Adi Mundi)
"General, Councilman good luck." Yularen said wishing the two and their troops well out there.
"There's no such thing as luck." Mundi said and thus the gunship closed and began to take off into battle. Xect meanwhile was silent during this as they began to head out into the fight. Xect meanwhile kept a cold glare as he was already running his mind through several scenarios that can best suit the needs of ARKs against their foes.
(In the battle)
The ships have all taken off and were in the sky. IT was mainly the Gunships as ARKs Drop Ships had also joined in. Many of the Gunships were being shot down already killing many Clones and ARKs Operatives inside them. But just then Anakin and Ahsoka gunship shook quite a bit and fell from outside, suddenly they were hit hard, and the gunship started to go down. The gunship hit the ground a moment later and started to skid along the ground before coming to a stop.
(With Xect and Mundi's Team)
"We're under too much fire." Xect said as making the run was ill-advised here.
Nearby a Clone Trooper had his comms active as he received contact from Skywalkers team. "We're down! Repeat, down! Location five-!" Rex was heard but was cut off before he could finish.
"I just lost contact with Skywalkers Team." The Clone Commander said causing Xect to click his tongue in irritation.
"Try to re-establish communication and be ready to make an early landing." Xect said suspecting that they might not have a choice in the matter.
(With Anakin's Team)
"Come on! Get up, we have to keep moving!" Anakin yelled over the explosions around them as he and Rex pushed the broken door off the gunship. Yuvel and Reggie proceeded to force the door open and thus began to step out with Yuvel firing off his gunblade with Reggie by his side. Laura then joined in with Zurna with Laura using her rifle and sending several beams of Photons at the enemy via small energy drones of sorts. Zurna used her gunblade to also help as she got to cover as well.
The Jedi exited before they then ignited their sabers and started deflecting blaster fire. Arthur then used his boosters to give chase and joined Anakin fighting from the front. A few clones climbed on top of the ruined gunship and started firing. Anakin rushed a few of the Geonosians as the clones and padawan remained behind for the time being. Just then a ball of light and a card flew past Anakin before Laura appeared with an explosive technique on a few Geonosians and Yuvel using a disk of blades to cause some damage.
The Two ARKs Operatives began to fight through several Falspawn that began to attack them directly. Yuvel of course quickly switched to his sword and began to slash through them while Zurna used the energy scythe to do some damage.
"They're falling back! Come on!" Ahsoka yelled to the rest of them before they started to run forward.
"Hooah!" Reggie cried out as he and Zurna lead several ARKs Operatives and Clone Troopers to battle.
"Well boys welcome to D-Day!" Zurna quipped as she charged in for the attack.
(Meanwhile with Mundi and Xect)
"Dammit, get the tank on the ground and start landing now!" Xect called out knowing they had no choice in the matter. Just then their gunship was hit causing Xect to growl to this. "This is why I don't go into the front lines." Xect said as he clearly preferred doing things where his tactical mind was his most valuable tool.
Cody, get the tanks down. Come in Cody." The Clone Commander called as he knew they had to hurry.
(With Commander Cody)
Cody was in fact getting the call as he went to answer it. "Cody, come in! Get the tanks down!" The Commander on the other end spoke.
"Copy that." Cody said before ending the call. "Pilot, begin landing sequence." Cody ordered and thus the Clone received the order.
"Copy that, Commander Have fun down there." The pilot said as he prepared for the landing.
"Well, here's where we get dirty, Arks." Oma called out and thus he nodded to the team with him on the gunship.
(On the Ground)
The Gunships began to land and from its ARKs Operatives and Clone Troopers emerged. But as they got out it quickly became clear that they were not in a good position. "General Kenobi don't land. The Zone is hot!" Cody called into his communicator as the ARKs Operatives were trying to hold the position with the Troopers.
(With Obi-Wan and Klara)
"But we can't just keep flying we need to land somewhere!" Klara cried out and thus the ship was suddenly hit.
"We're hit, we're going down!" Obi-Wan called out as Klara went wide eyed and grabbed to a handle above her. They were about to crash, and they were going to crash hard. "Brace yourselves!" Obi-Wan called out just before they crashed and for a time Klara blacked out.
(Meanwhile with Xect and Mundi)
ARKs Operatives and Clone Troopers were seen assessing the damages as Xect was using a list to do a headcount. SO far, several names had gone dark and vanished with a few currently in the red. "We have a situation." Xect said as nearby an ARKs Operative was seen applying a healing technique to a downed Operative while another was giving them a quick Moon Atomizer to revive them. "WE were hit severely by that flak and if my calculations are correct only Kenobi and Klara's forces made it to the landing zone." Xect said and thus as Mundi was being helped out, he had to ask.
"What about Skywalker and Arthur?" Mundi asked as he was a bit out of it while another Operative was using the same green energy to heal him.
"Captain Rex reported they're still in the middle of a firefight." The Clone Commander reported. "Skywalker's tanks are gone, and they're trying to contact General Kenobi and Councilman Klara's forces for support." He reported as Xect heard them. "In the meantime, they'll press on to the rendezvous point." The General said and thus Xect nodded.
"Very well load the injured onto the tanks and have our Force and Techer's focus on healing." Xect said knowing they will need the numbers for their assault.
"Agreed, we should make for that ridge with any luck, we can meet up with Skywalker and Arthur on their way to Kenobi and Klara's position." Mundi said and with a nod the group began to get moving.
(With Anakin and Arthur's forces)
The clones managed to take cover in a small trench while the Jedi deflect blaster fire after reaching a small canyon on their way to the rendezvous point. Arthur was blocking the incoming attacks with the flat side of his sword while moving back some. "Rex, what's the word? Can Kenobi or Klara send support or not?" Anakin asked over the battle before jumping into the trench next to Rex.
"I don't think so, sir, Cody says General Kenobi never reached the landing site." Rex reported as this was getting from bad to worse. "They think his gunship got shot down." The captain replied which was bad news for all of them.
"Great. The one time I actually ask Obi-Wan for help, he's nowhere to be found." Anakin said, sounding irritated by this incident.
Just then Yuvel and Ahsoka dropped on the other side of Anakin. "Well, what if something happened to General Kenobi?" Ahsoka asked as she had concern in her voice. "He could be injured or-" Ahsoka began but was then cut off by Arthur.
"Calm yourself Lady Tano." Arthur said as he looked to the Togruta. "They have their mission and we have ours." Arthur said and thus he looked to Anakin. "This is your unit; General you lead I'll adjust my forces to it." Arthur said and with a nod Anakin was ready.
"Rex, get the men together we're gonna rush the guns." Anakin ordered to which Rex understood.
"Yes sir." Rex responded before going to do just that.
"Ahsoka." Yuvel began as he put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'm also worried about them, but we can't help them if we don't focus on the here and now first." Yuvel said as he knew they would be able to help them.
"Right." Ahsoka said agreeing to this as Reggie then zoomed in.
"Hey, we're ready when you guys are." Reggie said and thus the ARKs Operatives and Clone Troopers all got ready to charge in.
"Ready… GO!" Anakin called out and thus leaving their trench the group charged into the fight. Arthur and Anakin lead the charged followed by Yuvel and Ahsoka, and were backed up with Laura, Reggie, Zurna, Rex, and their squad of Clones and ARKs Operatives.
(Meanwhile at the Landing Zone)
Oma and Cody were at the front of the perimeter as they saw what was going on with their enemy. ARKs Operatives were keeping the Falspawn from breaching the Perimeter as clearly the mindless monsters had no sense of self-preservation.
"Great their splitting up." Oma said as he saw what was going on. "I hope you got a plan Cody." Oma said as he moved his Mag's viewer to the downed gunship.
Just then Linda, Luna, Waxer, and Boil arrived as the four stood at the ready. "Waxer and Boil Reporting for duty." The Clones said when they arrived on scene.
"ARKs Operative Linda and Luna reporting." Luna said with a small salute to their commanding officers.
"Ok here's the cinch we have a shot down gunship, and we think that General Kenobi and Councilwoman Klara are currently inside." Oma said explaining what he and Cody needed from the small team.
"We need you to get out there and check for survivors." Cody ordered and thus the four were ready.
"Right/Sir, yes, sir!" The four responded and thus they charged out of the perimeter to the crashed gunship.
As they entered the blast area they dodged and avoided the explosive shots coming their way. At the same time Falspawn were moving in, to which the Newman and CAST dealt with them. Once they got to the crashed gunship Waxer and Boil had a few complaints here.
"Why do we always get the fun mission?" Waxer asked as Linda was working on forcing the doors open.
"This isn't the fun part, getting back to the square is." Boil said and thus Linda forced the doors open to reveal Obi-Wan inside the gunship.
"Waxer Boil, Linda Luna am I glad to see you." Obi-Wan said as he saw the four before him.
"Other then me and Obi-Wan Trapper is also alive." Klara said as she had come to not too long ago.
"You're going to be ok now General." Linda said as she and Luna helped the survivors out which comprised of Obi-Wan, Klara, and the Clone Trooper, Trapper. "We set up a square just past this position." She added as they got moving.
"Can you walk councilwoman?" Waxer asked to the Newman of the Council of Six.
"I'll live." Klara responded as they got ready to move.
"The Bugs are on the move and trying to surround us as we speak, sir." Waxer reported as they began to head out to of the gunship. In turn they got moving once more back to the square with the intent on getting back to safety.
(Back at the Square)
Cody and Oma saw the group exiting the downed gunship. "They've got the General and the Councilwoman." A trooper reported and thus they had to act.
"AT-TE 636, lay down cover fire at 0.35." Cody ordered and in turn a Republic Walker began to open fire with Troopers and Operatives moving in to assist. As the recon squad was bringing Obi-Wan, Klara, and Trapper back to the square the enemy was moving in on their position. Thankfully, the combined efforts of the Clone Troopers and ARKs Operatives kept the enemy both Genosians and Falspawn at bay.
Eventually they made it back to square where Obi-Wan was then moved over to a spot to rest while the medic looked him over. "Are you injured General?" Rex asked with concern for his Jedi General.
"No, nothing too serious." Obi-Wan said as he was put down. "What's the situation here?" Obi-Wan asked once he was resting against some crates.
"We got no air cover, two generals down beyond our position, and a mess of bugs surrounding us." Cody reported as he looked to the pair. "The enemy was more then prepared for our attack, sir. They knew our every move." Cody said as a medic injected Obi-Wan with a stim.
"Well, I'm sure General Skywalker and General Mundi will make it to our position. We just have to make sure we're still here when they arrive." Obi-Wan said making it clear that they had to hold the line here for the time being.
"Maybe I can help there." Klara said as she had her Cosmogenic Arm ready for action. "Awaken thief of knowledge creator of life EVE!" She invoked and thus her Cosmogenic Arm proceeded to awaken much like it did on Naboo. Slamming the pommel of the staff to the ground Klara proceeded to make a massive barrier around their position. With the shield active the Clone Troopers and ARKs Operatives now had a bit of breathing room for this invasion.
(Meanwhile with Xect and Mundi's forces)
Mundi was seen slicing down the obstacles that stood in the way of the tanks with his Lightsaber. On said Tanks Xect was going over the data while Captain Jet was trying to acquire them air support for their units. According to his data if they continued at this speed, they should arrive at their desired destination tardy and in this battle, tardiness could not be risked on their side. So, he was currently trying to find some sort of shortcut they could exploit here.
Xect knew that several Y-Wings and AIS units were airborne handing the invasion from the sky. He also knew that several more fighters and AIS units fighting up in space. It was then that Jet began to approach Xect as he continued to run the numbers for their invasion's success.
"Councilman." Jet was heard opting Xect to acknowledge the trooper. "At the moment we have no air support." Jet reported but Xect knew this to be a fact.
"Logical, at this stage we can't afford to divert any resources from other parts of the invasion." Xect said making it clear that they needed to use all the available resources efficiently. "Anyway, I believe I've narrowed down Skywalker and Arthur's position." Xect said producing a holographic map of the battlefield. "Needless to say, they are in for a most difficult time." Xect said showing on the map the location of the wall Ahsoka had pointed out back during the briefing.
(Back with Anakin and Arthur's Forces)
A while after rushing the gun they were now done fighting for the time being. But their reprieve did not last long as soon they came upon the giant wall Ahsoka pointed out to back on the ship.
"Ah shit." Yuvel cursed when he saw the massive wall. But before they could keep moving at least 20 battle droids appeared at the top along with a few supers and started firing down on them.
"Careful, men. Careful!" Rex warned but unfortunately two clones were killed before the rest took cover behind some boulders. Rex with the Jedi and ARKs Operatives took cover behind a single huge boulder before deactivating their sabers.
"Well, this is another fine mess you've gotten us into." Ahsoka said sarcastically while they hid behind their cover.
"What? Hey, it's not my fault! You were supposed to study the holomaps!" Anakin accused, trying to place the blame on her.
"I did! Remember when I reminded you about the giant wall, and you said, 'Don't worry, Snips. We won't be anywhere near that.'" Ahsoka recalled in irritation as she looked to her master.
"She's not wrong General." Yuvel added as he was reloading his twin guns for battle.
"The only way past this is to climb it." Arthur said as he'd rather save Yozora for when he needed it.
"Uh we might have a problem." Reggie said and thus they saw several Falspawn crawling down the wall with the insect fliers flying down.
"Oh shit!" Zurna called out shocked over what she saw.
"Well, we only live once." Yuvel said as he was ready to start their plan.
(Back with Xect and Mundi)
The combined unit of both ARKs Operatives and Clone Troopers arrived at the cave entry into the mountain. From the back Captain Jet arrived to speak with the commanding officers. "General, Councilman I've let a squad to guard the tanks." Jet said as he spoke to the pair.
"Good." Xect said before walking towards the cave.
"Are we certain that this is a shortcut?" Jet asked when he saw the cave.
"No but I trust my instincts." Mundi said but Xect would beg to differ on this.
"You may have your instincts, but I have my mind." Xect said before he proceeded to pull out a device of some kind before throwing it into the cave. Once it was inside, he began to hover over the ground before releasing a sort of echo pulse or scan. As the light went through the cave Xect received an image of the cavern. "Yes, this is a shortcut but its crawling with Geonosians." Xect said confirming that they will have a lot of trouble on the way to the objective on the other side of the cave system.
"Let's go." Xect said taking charge and entering the cave. Once he and their forces were inside Xect didn't even bother to put his guard up as he walked by. One by one the Geonosians and Falspawn came out attacking the group, but Xect was ready for them. Calmly moving like a ghost, he threw his Talis cards at each of the oncoming enemy troops. Just then a few of them actually blew up showing that Xect had planted Talis Cards with the explosion technique inside them. This took down several foes at once as the group proceeded into the cave.
Xect showed why he was a member of the Council of Six because he was ready to throw down when his cunning mind fails. Continuing through the cave the group made short work of their enemies without any trouble.
"Pathetic bugs." Xect said as he figured out how they operated, swarm their opponents just like any insectoid creature protecting its hive and/or colony.
(Back with Anakin and Arthurs Forces)
The jedi signaled three clones with backpacks and they rushed over quickly as the other troopers covered them. Anakin helped them remove their packs before Rex spoke. "So, what's the plan, General?" Rex asked him while Arthur kept the group covered with a shield. Zurna, Yuvel, and Laura fired at their foes with their ranged weapons while Yuvel had to reload his own weapons every so often via charging photons.
"Just keep us covered, Rex." Anakin replied before handing a pack to Ahsoka who slipped it on. "There's too much laser fire for all of us to make the climb. Ahsoka and I will handle this." He checked one of the thermal detonators before putting it back into the pack then slipping it on.
The Jedi started running towards the cliff as a few cannons on the wall shot at them while a few clones were killed and the three of them dodged the blasts. Seeing this Yuvel and Laura provided cover fire for the pair who went for the mountain side. In Yuvel's case it was drawing the enemy's attention towards his current position. Thankfully, the plan worked as the enemy didn't seem to notice the two Jedi heading towards the cliff right now.
After reaching the cliff they shot their grappling hooks towards the top and tugged on them. Once certain the hooks were stable, they used the Force to jump along the side of the cliff in order to move up faster.
As soon as they reached the top they headed towards the wall and started deflecting with their sabers when the droids noticed them and opened fire with more appearing soon after and while dividing their attention between the Jedi and clones. "How many droids and Falspawn have you shot down so far?" Anakin asked Ahsoka as they continued their little contest.
"Twenty-five." Ahsoka said while she kept deflecting with a grin.
Anakin smirked a bit when Ahsoka said that. "You're falling behind." He said with a cocky tone of voice. "Let's go!" Anakin said as they jumped down onto the top of the wall and started moving forward while deflecting and slashing with the clones helping from below.
(Back on the ground)
The group continued the fight with the melee fighters from ARKs handling the Falspawn while the ranged fighters helped deal with the wall. But just then Reggie's optics zoomed in on the top of the wall and saw what was going on topside.
"Troopers focus fire on the enemy on the top of the wall, ARKs change targets to the wall mounted guns!" Reggie ordered and thus they all carried out the order.
(With Obi-Wan and Klara's forces)
The barrier Klara had erected was taking heavy fire as the enemy forces tried to get through. Klara meanwhile was starting to sweat as she was holding on for as long as she can. Every so often the barrier would flicker but Klara held on as much as she could.
"She's not going to be able to hold out much longer." Oma said as he and Obi-Wan saw Klara doing her best.
"The Cosmogenic Arm is taking a lot out of her." Luna said fearing that they will soon be overrun if Klara can't hold for just a bit longer.
"Even the Council of Six have their limits." Elina said with a look before licking her lips in sadistic glee waiting for the onslaught's arrival. "Come to mamma let her shoot, shoot, shoot you all." Elina said laughing with the sadism she's infamous for.
(Back with Anakin and Arthurs Forces)
Once the droids on the wall were taken care of, the two Jedi deactivated their sabers. "Look for a hatch! We need to put the explosives inside the wall." Anakin ordered as they looked around.
Just then a hatch opened in front of Ahsoka nearly catching her by surprise. "Found one!" Ahsoka said just as a droideka jumped out before landing and activated its shield. The Jedi reignited their sabers and started deflecting its lasers. Just then a second one came out from where Anakin had been and rolled over to them, forcing the Jedi close together. Ahsoka focused on one while Anakin focused on the other keeping the pair of Jedi boxed in by the droids.
Just then sneaking up behind one of the rollers Rex came up from behind it and slipped through the shield. Once he was in position the Clone Captain proceeded to shoot the roller in the head at pointblank range. Seeing the chance Anakin and Ahsoka took out the other Droid with ease and thus ended the rollers attack.
With both droids destroyed the jedi rallied around the opening vent when a droid came out. "Hey, did you get them?" The B1 Battle Droid asked looking in the opposite direction.
"Catch!" Anakin said, throwing his pack at the droid as it turned around. "Huh?! Wha!" The B1 Battle Droid exclaimed in surprise as it caught the pack before Anakin smirked and used the Force to push the droid down the hatch.
The droid yelled while Ahsoka threw theirs into the hole. "Come on, Rex!" Anakin said to the clone. "Up and away!" Ahsoka said as she used the force to lift him and throw him off the edge before the three Jedi jumped off and started falling as the wall exploded. Rex yelled in fear as they kept falling, the Jedi used the Force to slow their descent as they reached the ground before landing, they then used the Force to slow Rex's before the wall continued to fall apart. Using the force, they managed to keep the debris from hitting them. After it was over Ahsoka offered a hand to Rex and pulled him up. "Next time, just tell me to jump." the Captain said to Anakin as he was being helped back up.
"Now where's the fun in that?" he asked the clone with a smirk before Arthur approached the group.
"Come we need to keep moving the landing zone." Arthur said before gesturing to them to follow to the landing zone.
"You heard him let's move out!" Yuvel called out and thus they all began to make their way to where the landing zone was located.
(Back with Xect and Mundi)
The combined forces of Xect's ARKs Operatives and Ki-Andi Mundi's Clone Troopers had finally made it to the other end of the cave. But despite this they were being blocked by several Geonosians and Falspawn. They were trying to blast their way through as several Operatives with Melee weapons were trying to slash their way through the enemies blocking them.
"We're almost through, bring in the flamethrowers!" Mundi ordered and in turn a pair of Clone Troopers came forward with their flamethrowers at the ready. They then unleashed the flames as the Geonosians were being burned by the weapons fire.
"ARKs blast our way through!" Xect ordered and thus a Force and Techer stood side by side with staff and wand out. They proceeded to unleash a blast of explosive Photons upon their gathered enemies. The combined flames decimated the remaining opposition allowing them passage. They proceeded to exit the caves and start making their way outside the cave.
(Back with Anakin and Arthur's forces)
"Hey look over there!" Laura cried out as she pointed to something up above.
The group looked and saw the sight of Geonosians on fire and Falspawn falling and vanishing into their dark particles. As they ran over Arthur had his communicator out to contact the ones that were responsible. "Xect, General Mundi do either of you read me?" Arthur asked contacting their missing leaders.
"We're here Councilman." Mundi confirmed which brought a sigh of relief. "We took a slight detour that put us out of communication for a bit." Mundi added explaining as to what they had been up too.
"Well, this has been a day for detours, master." Anakin said cutting in on the conversation.
"Indeed. But now we have a clear path to the Landing Zone and from what I can see… it would appear that Klara has activated Eve and put up a barrier around them." Xect said sounding like he was looking to the Landing Zone. "I'm not sure how long it's been active but judging by the amount of punishment it's taking it may not be active for much longer." Xect said and thus this meant they needed to move as soon as yesterday.
"Can you get me Admiral Yularen?" Anakin asked cutting the call with the two leaders
(Meanwhile ack on the Resolute)
Yularen entered the Viewing Terminal with Anakin pm the screen. "Admiral we're at the breaking point. You've got to get some fighters down here." Anakin said urging for Yularen to send aid.
"You're in luck, General Skywalker. I have one squadron available." Yularen said showing he had been trying to get a squadron to provide air support to the three Jedi asking for it.
(Back with Obi-Wan and Klara Forces)
The barrier was flickering in and out of existence now as Klara had reached her limit. "I… I can't but…" She breathed but then fell over, using Eve to try and keep her footing up.
"Rest you've done all you could." Obi-Wan said as the enemy began to move in on their position with the barrier no longer stopping them.
"Bugs… I really hate bugs." Klara said as she saw Clones and ARKs Operatives holding the line to keep the enemy off the landing zone. Nearby Elina was laughing as she fired her rifle at every Droid, Falspawn, and Geonosians that came at their forces.
"Look!" Joe called out and thus Klara and Obi-Wan looked and saw Y-Wings flying in bombing the enemy forces with AIS Units providing them support.
"Reinforcements inbound!" Oma called out with a grin as he saw that their backup had arrived.
Following them up was the combined forces of the Clone Army and ARKs Operatives with Anakin, Ahsoka, Yuvel, Arthur, Mundi, and Xect leading he charge. Once they regrouped Arthur and Xect ran over to the downed leaders as Klara smiled at the timely arrival.
"Are you two alright?" Arthur asked as he and Xect kneeled to them while their forces were pushing the enemy back.
"Trust me I'll live." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the group.
"Pardon the slight delay seems I failed to calculate for the anti-air instalments of the enemy forces." Xect said as he healed Klara and Obi-Wan a bit.
"Well, you're here now so let's begin our push back." Klara said as she got back up ready to fight some more now that she has had time to recharge.
"Then it seems that the Trio of Heroes ride again." Arthur said with a knowing nod to Klara and Xect. Both of them agreed with the CAST that it was time to show the galaxy the best of ARKs.
(Later)
The group were now gathered around a holomap as on it they could see the location of the shields. "Taking out the shield generator is our top priority." Xect said as he showed where the shield is. "But we need to get the scanners taken care of so our tanks can move in and once the barrier is down our gunships can land without worry." Xect added as he then looked to Arthur and Klara.
"The three of us will lead a trident maneuver on the enemy foothold taking out the generator, the scanner, and the Falspawn in one fell swoop." Xect said as Anakin heard this.
"Councilman maybe." Anakin began as he was going to offer his services to the ARKs Operatives.
"General Skywalker you've done more then your fare share." Arthur said as he then put a hand on Anakin's shoulder in a respectful manner. "Now let ARKs do our part." Arthur said and thus they were all in agreement on the plan.
"Alright then its time to show these bugs what ARKs is capable of!" Klara called out as she was ready to squish the Genosians.
(Later)
The Three Members of the Council of Six were ready to move in and take this foothold down. Arthur looked at the troops with him as a Clone Trooper was on the comms. "Is everyone in position?" Arthur asked the clone Trooper as a majority of this unit comprised of ARKs Operatives.
"We can move in, Councilman." The Trooper said and thus they were ready.
"Very well, MOVE OUT!" Arthur called out and thus they were on the move. Arthur led the charge as he had Yozora in its sealed form. Coming from one bath the troops he brought began firing their way through. Yuvel was in this unit as he backed up Arthur in the fight.
Following it up was Klara as she had Eve sealed again with Laura as part of her attack force. They blasted and sliced their way through the enemy as Falspawn and Geonosians all attacked the unit charging in. Finally, we have Xect who had Reggie as part of his unit making his way towards the enemy scanners.
Once they got close enough Xect was the first to act by summoning forth the power of his own Cosmogenic Arms. "Decipher the laws of nature and unveil to me the secrets of the mystics, MERLIN!" Xect called out activating his Cosmogenic Arms with a burst of Photonic power. The area around him became covered in photons for a brief moment. Manipulating them Xect formed portals in which he sent active Droid Poppers through them.
Above the heavy guns of the Separatists even more portals appeared dropping Droid Poppers down from above. Once that was done the heavy weapons al deactivated when the poppers went off.
"Klara your up!" Xect called into his communicator as Klara charged past him.
"Awaken thief of knowledge creator of life EVE!" Klara called out unsealing Eve again and sending a beam of light to the sky. The beam then curved once it reached the top of the barrier and broke apart raining down a photonic attack down upon the cannons. This in turn destroyed them and with it their only means of stopping the tanks.
Arthur decided to finish this with his own Cosmogenic Arms as he had Yozora at the ready. "Strike forth YOZORA!" Arthur roared out and thus sent a powerful slash through the air slicing through the building itself. The result was a gash appearing through the building before it began to come down unable to hold itself up after being compromised.
The shields came down as from the outside Gunships flew in ready to support. The Genosians were unable to continue fighting once the Falspawn and Droids were taken care of. Held at weapon point the enemy troops dropped their guns and raised their hands in surrender. From all intents and purposes while the invasion was still going the combined forces of ARKs and the Republic had claimed victory here.
(Later)
Gunships had landed with more troops while Anakin was seen helping Obi-Wan to a Gunship. Seeing the pair Ahsoka ran up to them with a smile on her face. "So, Master. What was your total?" Ahsoka asked him with a smirk on her face.
"Not now, Ahsoka." Anakin replied as he was a bit, tired right now and worried for Obi-Wan.
"Come on. Are you afraid you lost this time?" Ahsoka asked with a teasing smirk to her Jedi Master. "Fine. 55. That's my count, and you?" Anakin asked with a smirk of his own.
But Ahsoka stopped before replying to him with her smirk still in place. "60. Looks like I won." Ahsoka said which in turn caused Anakin to stop.
Anakin then turned them around causing Obi-Wan to almost trip and bring the both of them to the dirt. "Yeah, but I called in the air strike! Tie!" he said, a smirk still on his face.
"You're impossible." she said shaking her while continuing to smirk before walking off.
Yuvel walked over to Ahsoka as he saw the exchange. "Honestly, I don't get how you can turn a battle into a game." Yuvel said as he walked with Ahsoka.
"It's a gift." Ahsoka said while walking backwards to talk to Yuvel.
"I suppose so." Yuvel said while passing by Arthur.
"70." Arthur said catching Ahsoka by surprise. "My count was 70." Arthur said causing Ahsoka to go wide eyed to this. "So, what do I win, Padawan Tano?" Arthur asked as he crossed his arms with a chuckle.
"Well, honestly I never thought about that." Ahsoka said and thus Arthur chuckled and patted her shoulder before walking off.
"I expect great things from the both of you." Arthur said as Yuvel and Ahsoka looked to each other before back at the departing CAST. They then saw the Gunship carrying Obi-Wan and Mundi fly off back to the main fleet to get the Jedi Master of Anakin medical attention. They all began to regroup for the next phase of the Second Battle of Geonnosias, taking the factory Pogel and Apprentice were both in.
