In order to stop Drakken Joe's tower, he is the only one Demon King and his friends need to defeat. Wiseman was the first to arrive at the tower and take on Drakken Joe. Drakken Joe had 3700LP with his Alchemist Terror Sheng at 3000atk points, but Wiseman had a great combo set. He had 3800LP with his ace monster, Arsenal, equipped with Grandee Wing and had 2300atk points. He also had an activated trap called Battle Forge. With the combo he set, Wiseman is the one in control of this duel.
"Not a bad combo, but do you really think that will be enough to defeat the likes of me?" Joe questioned.
"Let's find out! It's still my turn!" Wiseman said as he went on with the duel. "Thanks to the effects of Battle Forge, I got my Grand Ray back in my hand, but it's the only equip spell I can activate this turn. That's really all I need as I equip it back on Arsenal!" He said as he gave Arsenal his weapon again. "I'm not stopping there! I'm summoning Machia Power!" Wiseman continued on with his turn as he summoned his robotic soldier with it having 1500atk points. "And thanks to his ability, he and other Machias gain 500atk points!" He said and his monster's power increased to 2000.
"Your Grand Ray will cut Sheng's power in half. Between your two monsters, you'll deal a total of 1300 points of damage." Joe claimed.
"Good math, but I was thinking of adding more to it!" Wiseman said. "I activate Cross Update! By sending the other two copies of a machine-type monster I have on the field to the graveyard, that monster gains 500atk points for each one." He sent his other two Machia Powers to the graveyard and increased Machia Power's attack points to 3000.
"He now has a monster that matches Alchemist Terror Sheng's power!" Demon King said as he liked how this was going.
"True, but Alchemist Terror Sheng can't be destroyed in battle." Eden said.
"That might be true, but he can still deal a lot of damage with this." Aoneko said.
"I activate my Grand Ray to cut your monster's attack points in half!" Wiseman said. Arsenal fired away with his ray gun and grazed Sheng with his power dropping to 1500. "Machia Power, attack Alchemist Terror Sheng!" His monster jumped right at Sheng and smashed its fist against it. It might not have been destroyed, but Drakken Joe's life points dropped to 2200. "Arsenal, it's your turn!" Arsenal jumped right at Sheng and attacked as well with the same results. Joe still took some damage and now he has only 1400LP left.
"Oh yeah! He did some real damage!" Demon King said.
"A few more attacks like that and he'll have this won!" Aoneko said.
"I can do this! I know I can beat him!" Wiseman said.
"Not good. I think you just jinxed yourself." Joe said. "Too bad there's no wood around here for you to knock."
"Make fun of me all you want, but you won't be laughing when I'm the one walking away as the winner. I place one card facedown and that ends my turn." Wiseman said with Machia Power's attack points dropping back down to 2000. "Go ahead, Drakken Joe. Do your worst."
"You're going to regret asking me to do that. I draw!" Joe said as he drew his next card. "I activate Sheng's ability! He won't be able to attack this turn, but I can now destroy all monsters on the field that aren't fire attribute monsters. Currently, the only ones on the field are yours. Your Arsenal is a dark attribute while your Machia Power is a light attribute."
"But thanks to Arsenal's ability, I can just send my Grand Ray equip spell to the graveyard so that he survives." Wiseman said as he did just that.
"That monster might survive, but your other one won't." Joe said. That was when Sheng used its power and caused fire to erupt right under Wiseman's Machia Power and it ended up destroyed. When that happened, Wiseman's life points dropped to 3500.
"Hold on. Why didn't Drakken Joe attack instead and deal more damage?" Demon King questioned.
"Because he's being cautious of Arsenal's ability." Eden said. "If he had attack instead of using Sheng's ability, Wiseman could have just used Grandee Wing to avoid the attack. Even if he attacked Machia Power, it wouldn't make a difference. Wiseman could have just used Arsenal's ability to get another equip spell to make Arsenal even stronger."
"I get it. Drakken Joe is trying to prevent that, so he forced Wiseman to discard an equip spell." Aoneko said. "Wiseman is probably going to bring back Grand Ray with his trap, but he isn't able to use any other equip spell because of that. Despite that, Wiseman is the one that has control of this duel."
"True, but it doesn't look like Drakken Joe is hindered by it." Eden said, and she's right. He still looks calm and confident.
"I now activate Dian Keto the Cure Master!" Joe said as he continued with his turn. "Thanks to this spell, I can regain 1000LP." He claimed as his life points increased to 2400. "With that, I place two cards facedown and that ends my turn."
"Two cards? That's every card in his hand." Demon King said.
"Is he getting desperate?" Aoneko said.
"No. It doesn't look like it. That's not the face of someone that is desperate." Eden said as she could tell that Drakken Joe has something planned.
"My turn! I draw!" Wiseman said as he drew his next card.
"And because it is, I can now activate my trap: Alchemist Tempest!" Joe said. "This trap card allows me to destroy up to two spell and trap cards on the field! After that, I'll gain two wind attribute alchemy tokens on my field. That means you're losing your equip card and your trap."
"That's not going to happen! I activate Malfunction!" Wiseman said as he activated another trap. "I pay 500LP to negate the activation of your trap and send it back to your hand!" He lowered his own life points to 2500, but it negated Joe's trap and sent his card back to his hand. "Nice try, but I'm a step ahead of you! I activate Battle Forge to bring back my Grand Ray, and I'll equip it to Arsenal!" He took his card and reattached it to his monster. "Next, I'm activating Machia Excel's ability from my graveyard!"
"From your graveyard?" Joe questioned.
"By banishing this monster, as well as one Machia monster from my graveyard, I can special summon another Machia Excel!" Wiseman said as he removed his Excel and Power. When he did that, he summoned another Machia Excel with 1200atk points. "Next, I'm using the effect of Grand Ray to cut Sheng's attack points in half!" He pulled the same trick again with Sheng's attack points dropping to 1500. "The reason for that is so I take less damage."
"You take less damage?" Joe questioned.
"That's right. I'm attacking with Excel!" Wiseman said with his monster going for the attack. "And now I'm activating my Mortal Crash spell! When a machine-type monster on my field is destroyed in battle, this spell destroys one of your monsters!"
"What?!" Joe said as he was really surprised by this move.
"That's right! Your Alchemist Terror can't be destroyed in battle, but effects are another matter!" Wiseman said. His Excel crashed right into Sheng, but that caused Sheng to suffer from real damage as well and ended up destroyed. Wiseman's life points might have dropped to 2200, but now Joe doesn't have his best monster anymore. "With him out of the way, Arsenal can now attack you directly!"
"Yes! If this works, Drakken Joe will only have 100LP left!" Demon King said.
"Joe doesn't have any cards in his hand either! Wiseman has this!" Aoneko said as it seemed like this was it.
"Wait!" Eden said as she realized something. "Drakken Joe still has a face-down on the field!" That one face-down could change the course of the duel.
"Arsenal, attack and let's bring this one step closer to bringing this guy down!" Wiseman ordered. Arsenal went on the attack and it seemed like this could be it. Arsenal appeared to have a clear shot.
"I activate Drowning Mirror Force!" Joe said as he was activating another trap. It was something Eden was worried about.
"Mirror Force? No worries. I can just send one of Arsenal's equip cards to the graveyard and he survives." Wiseman said.
"Someone needs to recheck the facts." Joe mocked. "That would be the case with a regular Mirror Force, but Drowning Mirror Force doesn't destroy your monsters. When you attack me directly, this trap sends all your monsters back to your deck!"
"My deck?!" Wiseman said as this completely ruins everything.
"That's right! That means you can't use Arsenal's ability to save it because it won't be destroyed! It's just going back to your extra deck!" Joe said. There was nothing Wiseman could do now. He can't even stop his attack. That was when a barrier of water formed around Joe and reflected Arsenal's attack like a mirror and Arsenal was sent away.
"No! He broke my combo!" Wiseman said as he and his friends couldn't believe it. Wiseman had control over this duel, but Drakken Joe turned it all around with just one card. Now Wiseman is left with nothing to protect him.
"It looks like that is that for your turn. That means it's my turn now." Joe said as he was getting ready to make his move.
"No! Wiseman is left defenseless!" Demon King said.
"It's okay. Drakken Joe doesn't have any cards in his hand. He still has a chance. Doesn't he?" Aoneko questioned.
"It all really depends on what Drakken Joe draws next." Eden said.
"Here goes!" Joe said as he drew his next card. "I activate Pot of Greed! I can draw two more cards!" He drew two more cards and those two cards could be what be gives him the win. It's making the others nervous, but when Drakken Joe saw what he drew, he loved it. I activate Alchemy Mix! By paying 1000LP, I can get two alchemy tokens of whichever two attributes I want. I'll go with water and fire." He got two of his tokens with them having 0def points with the respective attributes. "Of course, you get two of the attributes I didn't choose." He claimed with Wiseman getting the other two. "Now, in order for me to summon this monster, I need to tribute a water attribute monster and a fire attribute monster."
"No way! You mean..." Wiseman said as he can imagine where this is going.
"I summon Alchemist Terror Trismegistus!" Joe surprised them as a humongous wave busted right from behind him and opened the way for a new beast. This new monster was a titan as well, but was the dark figure of a lion with a blue outline. As it unleashed a monstrous roar, it showed it had 3000atk points.
"You had another one?!" Wiseman said as he didn't expect that as he was starting to get intimidated by him, like he was a dark figure that just kept towering and growing bigger right over Wiseman.
"That's right. The truth is that there are actually four Alchemist Terrors." Joe said.
"Four?! You mean he had four of those things all along?!" Demon King said.
"But defeating just one is difficult enough!" Aoneko said.
"I'm afraid it's about to get a lot worse for you!" Joe said. "In fact, this is already over! I activate Trismegistus' special ability! It can switch the battle position of any or all monsters on the field that aren't of the water attribute!" Trismegistus unleashed a mighty roar that caused one of Wiseman's tokens to be in attack mode with 0atk points. "And I'm still free to attack. Trismegistus, attack! Torrent Torment!" His lion unleashed another fierce roar with it turning into a blast of water. It was like getting hit by the ocean as the attack smashed into Wiseman's field and destroyed everything. It was a rough ride and it looked bad for Wiseman. When everything cleared away, Wiseman was impressively still standing.
"Wiseman's still standing! He's still in this!" Demon King said, but that was only wishful thinking.
"No, Demon King." Eden said with her and Aoneko sad to see this. "He may be on his feet, but he doesn't have any life points left. He lost." She said and she was right. The duel is over with Wiseman having 0LP.
"You did well, just not well enough." Joe said.
"Maybe, but I can't say I didn't give it my all." Wiseman said as he seemed proud that he did as he was turning to data. "I did my best, but I couldn't bring it home." He said to Demon King and Aoneko.
"Maybe, but at least now we know more about Drakken Joe's deck and that he contains a total of four Alchemist Terrors." Eden said. "We can use that information now."
"I know you will." Wiseman said before he completely broke into data, but at least he went with a smile. He believes they can still put a stop to this fiend. He'll be waiting...from inside the tower.
"Well, that's that. He did put up a good fight." Drakken Joe said as he turned to them now. "It looks like you are the only ones left." He claimed as the only ones that stand between Drakken Joe and complete control over everything is them now. "Which one of you is next?"
