I was studying blueprints of the Yotsuba building, highlighting Wedy where all the cameras were placed inside the lobby and conference rooms. A soft alarm went off and the gothic letter W appeared on the larger screen in the room, drawing everyone's interest.

"Ryuzaki, Detective Coil has been asked to find out the identity of L."

The sound of the name Detective Eraldo Coil almost made my right hand give out and pour hot tea all over me. God, it had been years since I had thought about any of that case or the Orginal Coil herself. A flashback of a young woman around both L and my age at the time plays in my head, I never liked her but she didn't deserve the death she received.

It was a little surprising to see L still used the moniker after all this time, rubbing a specific spot on my left thigh, still thankful after all these years I never had any scarring.

"Nothing to worry about, I am Eraldo Coil and Deneuve, the top detectives in the world."

I took a few moments from the task force zeroing in on L, and against the voice in my head, the flurry of memories of that time came rushing back. The smell of fresh English toffee burned my nostrils, and the sensation of touch buzzed my fingertips alive for just a mere split second when the buried memory of an intimate nature plays out. Lucky, my Pokerface was wonderful and I quickly pulled myself together.

"It seems Coil was hired by Masahiko Kida, VP of rights and Planning at Yotsuba."

Light's assessment brought me back to the now. The group circled each other, rolling me closer to listen to L. He brought up the fact that both Kira and Yotsuba were our enemies for now, and there is always a possibility that more than one person with these powers.

"There's something else, there's a small percentage that these powers can be transferred. That's why we must be careful on our end, Yotsuba must never know we're looking into them as Kira."

The roles were given out, Aiber was supposed to get closer to Kida to infiltrate and Wedy, with help from the information I just finished gathering, was supposed to help get around the cameras in and around Yotsuba.

"Ryuzaki,"

"Yes, Watari?"

"I am receiving a distress signal from Matsuda's belt."

I watched L's face drop just a little as he asked for the location.

"It seems to be coming from the Tokyo office of Yotsuba."

"Oh, then he's good as dead then." Aiber chimed in as Wedy took a drag of her cigarette.

I, myself, couldn't help but let out a groan and an "Oh, Matsuda," feeling the pity I always had for him slip away finally. Even L muttered about the man's intelligence.

"Forget everything I said, stupid Matsuda."

"What the hell is he doing? I thought he only had a fake ID as Misa's manager and phone on him?" I asked, looking at L and Light.

L asked for the eldest Yagami's cell and to dial the number to Matsuda's second phone, holding the piece of technology between his pointer and thumb a few inches from his ear. It rang for a little bit of time before anyone picked up, making me think that others are listening beside us.

"Yo, it's me! Asahi!"

Luckily, it seemed that he was able to catch on to L's trick pretty quick, for his own sake. After asking a few coded questions as Asahi the drinking buddy we found out that Matsuda was in trouble and most likely with other people.

"I'll invite you out next time, later."

L closed the cell phone shit, handing it back to its owner. Light gave Misa a call, on L's behavior, only to get her voicemail right away. Offhandedly, L brought up the fact that if anything did end up happening to Matsuda now would only harden the fact that this new Kira was working within Yotsuba, which I noticed made a few people uncomfortable.

He turned his back to us, looking over the screens in front of us playing different pictures and videos having to do with our previous plans.

"For now, let's just wait and see."
