"Oh Light, I'm so sorry I missed your call, but I'm finally done for the day and…"

Misa's voice boomed from the other end of Light's phone, pretty sure everyone else could hear her end of the conversation too.

"Have you seen Matsuda?"

"No, that jerk totally ran off a while ago. Wait! My work phone is ringing."

"Don't let Misa hang up, have her keep the phones far away enough so we can hear both conversations without interference." L chimed in, causing me to notice the wiggling of his bare toes.

Since Matsuda speaks a lot louder when he's feeling an extreme emotion, it was pretty easy to hear from Light's cell that Misa was being invited over to the Yotsuba office for an improv interview as soon as possible as there was a fair chance they would want to use her as their next spokesperson.

"Oh, Light! I take back what I just said about Matsuda, he's great!"

Misa went on about not forgetting Light when her stardom grew from this, while the rest of us looked at L for a decision.

"I mean, he should be savable now right?" I asked, trying to start the conversation.

"Hmm." L replied.

"Yes, I believe so, but we will most definitely need Amane's help."

Even though it didn't look like he was completely willing, Light relayed the message to Misa, who promised to call back.

L sent everyone off to their locations to wait for their standing orders, leaving me and Light.

"Lastly, you two will be the paramedics. I've taken the liberty of having Watari pull out our emergency vehicle a few blocks east of here. He'll be given the signal over the radio, and all the two of you will need to do is carry off the fake Matsuda. Any question?"

"Ryuzaki, it seems more fitting if you and I were to do this part. Violet could watch over the place."

I understood where Light was going with this pretty quickly, but it seemed that L wasn't anywhere near it. While I appreciated his concern, it was pretty much a job requirement for L to be able to lift twenty pounds more than his weight. Of course, Light wouldn't know that at all.

"No, I don't do leg work. Now then, your costumes will be in the back of the ambulance. There shouldn't be a problem as everything goes over your clothes."

We were just about to head out via the elevator when Light's cell started to wasn't even on speaker and I could still hear how loud Misa was.

"Oh, Light I'm so sorry! I tried my best to get the number of models you asked for, but I'm one short."

"It's alright, Misa. Just stick to the plan."

Misa seemed to calm down as I couldn't overhear the conversation anymore. I looked over at L, noticing he was still seated and sipping coffee.

"You know, Ryuzaki, while it isn't the worst thing to happen, we should try to find another woman. If they aren't occupied, they might notice something."

I hear the softest sigh come out of him, standing up and walking over.

"Matsuda, you idiot. Miss. Petrillo, do you remember Misa's floor number?"

"Yeah, it's floor… wait."

I looked at both men, realizing they were both on the same wavelength.

"I was thinking more like Wedy than myself…" my words started to fade towards the end.

I puffed, knowing there would be no time for me to go take Wedy's place, I pushed the number button on the elevator, cursing Matsuda under my breath.

When I got up to the floor, the first thing to catch my eye was a made-up female face peeking out of Misa's apartment door.

"Hurry, we're in here and they could be back any minute now." the face whispered, slipping back inside.

I quickly walked inside, greeted by a handful of pretty women at least ten years younger than myself. They were all wearing the same short skirts and crop tops with a heart cut out right in the center, to favor the whole thing with a touch of some exposed chest. A woman in purple held out a yellow copy.

"Quicky put this on, we'll start preparing your makeup."

Without much questioning, I took the clothes out of her hands, but I couldn't shake off the beat of hesitation I was feeling.

There were tons of cameras in this room, and that little fact froze the commands my brain was trying to tell my fingers. Deep down, I knew there was nothing to it as both Light and Watari were gentlemen in these types of things, and L had seen it before. Plus, everyone should be outside waiting for cues.

The gears in my hands eased up and I slipped out of my fabrics.

Although, there was the other problem.

Besides being wary about my mid-drift now on displace, I couldn't wear anything under. The lack of panty line in sight should have been my first clue, but I didn't realize it till I was walking around in their shoes.

"They're coming!"

The lady in purple called out, pulling the apartment door shut as my things and their makeup kit were laid out on Misa's bed, locked uptight. We all gathered around in a semi-circle, waiting for Misa and Yotsuba to shuffle down the hallway. I took in a deep breath and planted a sly lip-covered smile as the front door opened.
