Life isn't always as it seems.

You would always have that poker face for the sake of not rocking the boat, not letting everyone judge you for your circumstances, or just to stay strong during trial and tribulation. Hinami and her life weren't easy. Nor was anyone around her peers.

She prevailed despite it but her identity crisis and her way of learning to embrace all parts of her for who she was her biggest hurdle that she eventually conquered.

But this is how all of it began…A story of Hinami Mizuchi and her story on how she became a true independent hero.

Tokyo. Japan - about 12 years ago | Normal POV

"MAMA! DADDY IS FIGHTING!" A 4-year-old Hinami Mizuchi, her vibrant auburn red hair, caramel brown skin and her hair would be in two, small pigtails as she was being held by another woman with dark brown, melanin skin, thinner exterior with beautiful blue silky scarf, covering her head. She was quite shaky and frail but still smiling over at her baby.

"I know baby." She would say before letting out a violent cough but would calm down once she had her oxygen tank with her and she would inhale. Despite the loud noises around her specifically, it made her a little flared up, but she proceeded to keep her eyes on the tanned man that was in the ring and stayed in the moment.

This family was far from home as they traveled from San Francisco, California to the Tokyo Sumo Wrestling Tournament just to see Hinami's father, 'Kyo-sumo' or Kyo Mizuchi go against another one of his final opponents, as he was in the final round of the entire competition. This was his prime time. He managed to get this far due to heavy training and determination. Most importantly, he had his wife, Naomi Mizuchi-Pierre and his beautiful daughter that he called his kin, Hinami.

He would smile at his little girl while standing before a wrestling mat in front of a few other people surrounding him, cheering and shouting as flashing lights covered the entire place. People were either cheering for him or his opponent, his well-known rival, Haruto "FBI" Mataomoto. There were so many mixed emotions around him. He didn't want the noise to be a distraction.

"KYO-SANNN!" The sumo wrestler shouted as he tried to pin down the tanned man. However, Kyo Mizuchi was not backing down from this. This was his moment in time, his declaration of his title. With all the matches he got up to this point against the other opponents he has dealt with in the past well… months. He wasn't going to give up. He got up from his stance, breathing heavy, slightly bruised but proceeded to plumpet his final bow onto his opponent, running towards him with a roaring battle cry and jumps on top, pinning him down with his weight until the referee would take the final count and declare Kyo the winner of the match.

"Tofa soifua, soifua ma lau fu'a Ia manuia le atunu'u, ia manuia ona tatou!" Mizuchi would do his chant. It means: "Blessings, blessings to my family. May my country be prosperous, may we all be prosperous!" in Samoan. He would repeat this chant as it blended into the crowd.

The arena went wild. Kyo's coach was in tears, some of the previous opponents that were eliminated from the competition looked defeated yet satisfied with the win. It was a glorious moment. And the fact that he got to have his daughter and beloved wife see this was a dream of his. He never wants this to end, he wants to keep having these matches and win them every time for his family. This was his dream he always desired.

Hina would be excited, screaming alongside the crowd, imitating the same chant in her small, cheeky voice. "Tofa Tofa!" and kept repeating until she would fumble her own words out of excitement. It made her mother laugh.

Once Kyo was granted his trophy, a large golden belt. He would grab the mic from one of the commenters, who gave him the opportunity to speak.

"I AM NEVER LEAVING! KYO MIZUCHI WILL ALWAYS WIN! MY WIFE, NAOMI AND BABY IS OUT THERE CHEERING ME ON! NOTHING IS STOPPING THIS! KYO-SUMO IS ALWAYS HERE AAAAAAA~!" His face will transform, his fangs enlarge and now he looks like a red sea urchin. At first Hina looked startled, but then Naomi comforted her, assuring her that all is well. Hina smiled once more.

Kyo was a hyper man. Very much the jolly, fun and loving father as well as a hero to her daughter. He had to keep going. His goal was to create a world that is fun and freeing for Hinami. Everyday should be a day to feel happy. This would make Hinami smile every time he heard her father scream with joy. As for Naomi, she was in tears. She was in a euphoric feeling, as if she never thought this was going to happen. As discontent as it sounds, she thought she was never going to see the day, all the stress, the day-to-day traveling. It indeed tired her, made her sickness worse but she didn't want her family's big moment to be led astray.

After several interviews that were made for Kyo, he finally ran to his family and gave them a huge bear hug. Naomi and Kyo would give each other a kiss and Kyo would hold his daughter close, it was his turn to hug his baby girl. Cameras were still flashing. Everything was happening at once, it made Hinami cry. She was overwhelmed, sure, but Kyo would redirect the attention of the cameras, the crowd that Hina insured and picked her up and held her over his head.

"DADDA! I'M FLYING!" Hina would exclaim with glee.

"YES, YOU ARE HINA-PIE! YES, YOU ARE!"

"MOMMA LOOK!" And she was nowhere to be found. Kyo would call out to her, but there was no response. He would hold on to his daughter, amiably yet rigidly push back from the crowd, the paparazzi, anyone that was surrounding them. He had to look for his woman.

He was leaving the arena, Kyo and Hinami were calling out to her.

"MOMMA!"

"Good Hinami! Call out to find Momma! NAOMI!"

And they were repetitively calling out to her. They finally got the opportunity to find Naomi, sitting on the steps, towards the emergency exit, she was hoarse, her body looked weaker than it did before.

"Baby, are you alright? I'm sorry for all the noise from the crowd." Kyo announced as his daughter was gesturing to be held by her momma again.

Then two people would start running over towards the Mizuchi family. It would be Kyo's coach Akira Suzuki and his assistant, Yuki Ito. They were proceeding to tell Kyo to head to the breakroom to get himself ready to unwind, get dressed and head to the hotel.

"I'll be back for you, too." Kyo would kiss both of his beloved family members and head in the opposite direction. Naomi was silent as her figure was shaking slightly from how her body temperature was colder than before. Hinami would hold her close, acknowledging that her mom was under the weather, she wanted to protect her as well. Surely, being 4 years of age, she had the intuition. She knew something was up with her mother, she just didn't know what.

As the night grew, Hinami and her family were soon done with the huge event and managed to head to the hotel. One their way there, Kyo's opponent from the match, Haruto walks towards their vehicle as they were being escorted to the hotel. Kyo would roll the window down.

Haruto replies with a simple, "Hey man- good work. You beat me fair and square. You got a lot of energy. I like that from you-"

"Yeah well," Kyo held out his hand to give his rival a handshake. "You gotta show these people where I come from. Where I live, family matters. Without my family, I wouldn't be here."

"Keep 'em close then. Never forget that. They're your biggest supporters." And with that, Haruto will be heading to his assigned vehicle and the arena will soon grow empty.

As the night was still shy before midnight, the Mizuchi family would be getting themselves ready to go out, celebrating. Naomi's mother, Mari Pierre would be waiting at the hotel to join in the festivities, of course to make sure her daughter was okay as her condition was still on alert.

Naomi wouldn't let her illness affect her husband's night, even to her mother's dismay. So, the night went by, they would go to a Japanese seafood buffet. It was reserved for VIPs. Some of Kyo's fans would be at the restaurant asking for their autographs and whatnot. Kyo would do such as he was practically as famous as a regular pro hero here in this side of the world.

Speaking of heroes, on one of the HD televisions that were prompted on the wall of the restaurant, there would be a muscular, tall, toned up blonde man with a spandex suit that was colored in some primary colors; red, blue, white and yellow.

"HAVE NO FEAR CITIZENS, FOR I AM HERE!" It was breaking news that the great All Might, the number one hero of Japan and one of the strongest heroes in the world, successfully saved 100 of civilians from a hostile situation. Burning debris and falling foundations; it would've been a sort of tragedy if it weren't for the legacy that All Might had endured, which made every other hero seem like they are just there for a photo opp or just to make the number hero more durable. This made the Mizuchi and co. households watched closely from their seating as the news continued on their regular programming.

"Huh," says Kyo as he takes a bite of his California sushi, watching the television. "It's All Might back at it again. He really saved 100 people..."

"It seems like it." Mari would finish her meal and dap her lips dry with a napkin, gently. "I can't ever understand the basics of All Might and his extensive amount of work he has to do in order to provide for the people. If he does too much, he could end up⏤"

"I have to disagree with Ms. Pierre." Akira sips on his cup of water and puts it down. "Pardon ma'am but All Might has been working as a hero since his youth. He's been through this much work, and it is truly only the beginning for him." He would grab another bite of his crab rangoon with some chopsticks and then look up at the screen with All Might still being displayed on the TV screen.

"Sure, he is getting up there in age, however…he still has the stamina and charms of being the number hero and he will indeed stay that way until he retires."

Then Akira's assistant would look over at her manager before sighing. "I met All Might before.. He was doing a signing in Tokyo Dome City. He looked like he was well kept together and healthy. But that look in his eyes seemed…dense, like he is hiding his true self somewhere behind that smile."

"I dunno who All Nighty is but I'm thirsty momma!" Lil Hinami starts patting her tired mother's shoulder. The response would make the group coo or laugh at the little redhead girl.

Meanwhile, Naomi was quite despondent, not in the present moment, she was dazed. Naomi wasn't interested in watching TV. She was indeed interested in resting or lying down. Something! She was fatigued and it was hard for her to move... However, Hinami was her first priority and she ended up getting up to help Hina get some more juice.

Kyo would gently gesture to his wife to relax and just let the waiters come to them, but she was rather vigorous, as if something was wrong. She felt woozy, lethargic, like she was about to faint. Once she got up, she felt her body go against her wishes and she fell onto the ground, causing the rest of the restaurant to stare in disbelief or pure confusion and concern.

Kyo was devastated and in full panic, Hinami would be confused as she was then comforted by Yuki and Mari.

"NAOMI BABY!" Kyo would figure out what to do in this situation as he was lifting Naomi's emotionless body up gently as he tried to wake her up, no luck. Then the waiters and staff would call the paramedics. Once they entered the scene, they escorted Naomi to the nearest hospital and that's when she was treated for a few hours until she eventually woke up from her sleep.

It all happened so quickly for the family, all waiting for a response from the physician in regard to Naomi's condition. Surely, they thought they were in for the clear after the overnight stay, but little did, they know, that was going to be a different story that will surely change everyone.
