As Miach arrived with the girl I saw behind the counter, which now I notice has animal parts, he started to greet me.
"Hello, I'm Miach, I've heard you wanted to meet me."
The godly aura that surrounded him made me somehow instinctively know wasn't human, after collecting myself I responded to him.
"Yes, I'm Joe Smith, I wanted to apply for you're familia"
The silence that accompanied my statement was awkward, but the god seemed to catch his bearings quickly and responded.
"Are you sure? My familia has a huge debt to pay off, joining would mean you'd have to help pay this debt off"
I may have forgotten about that… but nonetheless my decision to join Miach is still likely my best bet, if I remember correctly his debt should be because of the metal arm the girl has.
"This is still the familia that I wish to join, I should be more concerned if you'd let me join haha" I jested at Miach hoping to convey my sincerity.
Miach seemed reluctant but relented after seeing my commitment, to which he beckoned me outback and applied my falna. luckily it seems I gained some abilities for my journey, nothing overpowered mind you but beggars can't be choosers. Miach seemed shocked I had any at all so i assume they are harder to get than I thought
Str: I 0
Vit: I 0
Dex: I 0
Agi: I 0
Mag: I 0
Skills:
Sixth sense- the ability to sense incoming danger that the eyes cannot.
Minor regeneration- the ability to heal naturally from minor wounds. No stamina regeneration
Magic:
Lightning blast: shoot weak blasts of electricity in a short range, or imbue it into equipped weapons. Can't be harmed by your own lightning.
I've gotta say they certainly weren't ground breaking but they were a welcome surprise that vastly increased my odds of surviving. Especially sixth sense, compared to the natives in this world my awareness of the dangers around me would be lacking due to the comfort of my own life.
And no I did not squee at the prospect of my magic despite what Miach and Naaza say, I'll deny this forever I am an adult, adults don't squee…. Anyway I left to go on my way to the guild, to which I quickly figured out that I don't know where that is. After a hard fought battle with my pride I relented and asked a group of people near me dressed in armour and equipped with weapons, I assumed they knew as they looked like adventurers. They did and after a rather rude comment to which I won't repeat I finally got the directions I was looking for.
After reaching the guild I must say I'm rather confused how I didn't stumble upon it when I ventured on my own, it's rather attention grabbing and has a lot of foot traffic. Nonetheless I entered the building and joined the shortest queue, despite that it still took what felt like forever for it to be my turn. As I was celebrating the waiting to finally be over, time wasted doing nothing irks me to no end, I was greeted by a woman with red hair and I think wolf ears? She looked beautiful as did most people here honestly, even the men. What's up with that?
Anyway I was getting lost in unneeded thoughts, so I went up to the lady and explained that I was a newbie adventurer and would like all the information on the dungeon as I could get. Which was apparently the wrong thing to say, she looks angry perhaps annoyed honestly I didn't know. Her name was Rose by the way, or so the name tag says, I can already tell this woman is going to be a real bundle of joy.
"Hughhhhh" she sighed reaching for something behind the counter
"..." I stared awkwardly not knowing what to say in response to that, where was customer service with a smile goddamnit. I've worked retail tho so I can't say I don't understand that much
She shoved what appeared to be some sort of encyclopaedia on the counter.
"This here has all the information you'll need for the first 12 floors and more, you won't need to know about most of the information here unless you can survive as an adventurer for many years so don't study further than the first few floors" she explained.
As I hastily took the book she continued her despondent information dump.
"You can't take the book with you but feel free to write what you wish on pen and paper for studying later, you have to read it over at the seats over there"
I thanked her for the help but still asked one more thing before running off and studying.
"Does the guild offer any equipment for new adventurers?"
To which she quickly responded as if almost practised.
"The guild offers a loan of 5000 valis to buy a knife and some leather armour, it'll likely be in used condition but will suffice for any aspiring adventurer as they start the beginning of their descent, this loan will in turn be paid by the adventurer as they return and sell their stones, also please fill out the information on the sheet here listing the familia you are in as well as your name and level"
Wow she said all of that and did not break monotone once, I'm honestly impressed. Anyway after sorting out the paperwork and acquiring beginner gear I sat down and started studying. Hours must've passed and I only studied up to the fifth floor, the dungeon is much bigger than it has any right to be. But information to this degree should suffice for now, after noting down anything of importance I left to return to Miachs shop, or should I say home now?
Once I returned and settled in, it was a little awkward like meeting colleagues for the first time, we had to discuss where I would sleep. When Miach suggested I share his bedroom with him, Naazas glare quickly made me suggest I sleep on the settee.
As I laid on the settee I debated what needs to be done first. I don't think I'm ready to go into the dungeon tomorrow, but I can't waste time either so what should I do instead? Train? Yes I thought to myself I'll train, my stamina is currently lacking severely and that is essential if I need to run away. Yes whilst cowardly I'd rather be a coward and live than brave and dead. Maybe i could increase some stats by doing that too, it'd certainly make me feel more at ease entering the dungeon.
With these thoughts passing my mind, sleep eventually catches me, and I wonder if I'll wake up tomorrow back home. With this it marks my first day in danmachi.

Ok ngl I'm really starting to dislike this first person perspective I've got going on, and damn writing peoples speech is by far the hardest thing in this story so far. But anyways it's started now so it continues. Reviews appreciated and all that stuff much love.
Sincerely, some lemon guy
