You should call me butter because I have been on a roll! I hope this has been making sense so far. Like I said in the previous chapter, there's more. Let me know if you've been able to follow along with it or I need to make some adjustments to it.

Chapter 11

Lucy wakes up on the floor, Hisui holding her and Toma, Arcadios, and Darton standing above her. "I had the craziest dream. Golden keys were passed down through four families. The Fiore's and the Heartfilia's worked together to run the country. The Heartfilia's were always powerful and prestigious because of their position. Not only that but I found out about my father's side of the family and to top it all off I was a billionaire."

Hisui with the help of Arcadios gets Lucy back in her chair, "It was no dream, Lucy. That's all true."

Lucy stares at the wall flabbergasted. She doesn't know what to do with all of this information. She left that life for a reason and now she's being dragged back into it? She always knew her parents were well-off but the fact it wasn't her father's business that made them wealthy is news to her. She never once thought it was from the Heartfilia line that made it possible for her mother to save ten billion jewel for her.

"Who else knows everything you just told me?"

"The zodiac keys being passed down through four families was common knowledge. The Heartfilia's titles and their work with the Royal family only the other branches of the government know and were made to promise to not let word get out. Your father's family I don't know and only those in this room know about your wealth." Toma replies.

Lucy will get back to everything else, but first, "Where is my account anyway?"

"Here in the royal bank vault." Hisui answers.

"Did my father know about it?"

This time it's Toma who answers her, "Yes, he did. When his business failed he tried to get access but was denied. What your mother didn't tell him was that the account was only put in your name."

That doesn't surprise her. So what in the hell does she do with all of that jewel? Sure, she complains about not having money for rent, food, and such, and as stressful missions can be, she still enjoys earning that money herself. She looks at Hisui and it comes to her.

"Let me pay you back for buying the mansion and property."

"Lucy, you don't have to do that."

"Please, I don't know what to do with all of that jewel. I planned on attempting to save the money myself but you went ahead and bought it because you liked the idea. It still doesn't sit right that I haven't paid anything for it."

Hisui knows Lucy will argue until she agrees, "How much were you thinking?"

"Fourteen billion."

"Lucy! That's more than what I bought it for."

"Then the remainder can go towards expenses for the orphanage. Food, clothes, bills, repairs, the wages for the workers, and whatever else is needed."

Hisui nods, "Okay, I can do that."

"I also want to pay you back for helping the guild."

"No," Hisui says sternly.

"But-"

"No, that's my thank you for saving the world on countless occasions."

Lucy sighs, "Fine." She knows Hisui won't budge on the matter. But what will she do with 13,000,180,548 jewel? In just one conversation her life changed drastically. Wait!

"Hisui! The marriage contract! We don't know if that was finalized. If it was and he learns that my status never changed he might pursue me. It was made before you changed the law and back then it didn't require my signature."

"Well, then it's a good thing I added in that any previous contracts will not hold unless both parties still agree. I had a meeting with the families and some were not happy about that."

"Do you have meetings with them often?"

Toma cuts in, "Yes, quarterly. We used to have quarterly meetings with the Magic Council as well to ensure everything was running smoothly in the wizarding world. We have yet to talk to the new magic council about this. Lucy, we need to talk about your new role as second in command."

"I hate to ask, but can I decline?"

"You can, but we would need help choosing someone to replace you. Darton here has filled in temporarily but the Queen, or in my case the King, has always had a Hartfilia by their side. After your mother passed there was no one other than you to fill that role but you were just a child. I understand if you are apprehensive, but please think about it."

Talk about putting her in a rough spot. She can either accept and help Queen Hisui or find someone who may or may not try to kill the Queen to take her spot. If that happens who knows what will happen to the country. She's seen so many horrible things she can't help but be pessimistic. Lucy snorts. 'If the former council knew that she wasn't only a Fairy Tail wizard but the Queen's future right hand they would have had a coronary. Maybe that's why they became more adamant about disbanding Fairy Tail.'

"Okay, so we know the noble families aren't going to like this but what about the magic council?"

"The council is part of the government responsible for the supervision of magic and the guilds, including outlawing their activities. They have the ability to appoint wizard saints, give official orders, and send complaints to guild masters. However, the Queen is the head of the government and has control over all branches which means as the Queen's second in command you will have more power over them."

Lucy whispers, "Oh no, they're not going to like this."

Hisui tells her softly, "I don't see why they won't, the new council members know you and know you won't abuse your power."

"But they might think Makarov will try to use my new position for his benefit. I don't think he would. Make jokes, yes. Try to use me for the guild's gain, no. Can I tell him and Laxus?"

"Of course," Toma says.

Lucy thinks more about everything. "So, as second in command I would need to check on villages and towns, pass along a message to you if there are problems that they need help with, and check on orphanages to make sure they're being taken care of. As well as attending meetings the Queen requests."

"Yes, as well as asking them what we can do to help the economy, be there for me when I need advice, and if something were to happen to me, you would take over."

Lucy gasps, grabs Hisui's shoulders, and shakes her, "You stay alive! You hear me? You stay alive, have children, and live a long life! I do not want the responsibility of being Queen!"

"Lucy! Calm down," Hisui chuckles.

"You should know Lucy that I will always protect the Queen." Arcadios supplies.

Lucy smiles, "Yeah. So, I got to keep my new role a secret and have Master and Laxus promise not to say anything, but what about me reclaiming the Heartfilia spot of being the most powerful, and prestigious noble family?"

"Considering you're a famous Fairy Tail mage, it might be hard hiding your new role from everyone." Toma says, "We'll keep it under wraps for now but we do have to announce that the Heartfilia's are back on top."

"When will that be?"

"Whenever you're ready."

Lucy grumbles, "That will be never." She then sighs and asks, "Can you tell me more about these meetings?"

~At the guild when the women return~

"We're back!" Cana yells. She along with the other women walks in the guild and sees that it is an absolute train wreck.

"What happened?" They all yell.

Every single piece of furniture is burnt, frozen, and smashed to bits. Glass shards and pieces of the balcony also cover the floor. They weren't away for a full twenty-four hours, and the guild is in shambles.

Erza summons all of her swords and points them at all of the men, "I order you to clean this up at once!"

Laxus remains in the stool at what's left of the bar drinking his ale with Freed and Gramps. Bickslow is somewhere in the mess in the guild. Like hell is he going to pick up after them. If Lucy was here in her Taurus Star Dress, however... He's broken out of his perverted thoughts when Mira pops up in front of him in her Satan Soul form.

"While they are taking care of this mess, you are going to come with us and have a little chat."

On second thought. Laxus gets up to get away from her.

Mira grabs his ear to drag him away, "I don't think so." She glares at Freed when he tries to stop her.

"Ow! What the hell woman."

"Good luck Laxus!" Gramps shouts merrily as he watches Laxus get dragged off by Mira, the other female members following, Wendy staying behind to heal major injuries.

Erza stops in front of him, "Please make sure they do as they're told. If you don't we will hide all of the alcohol from you."

He nods his head, "Listen up you brats!"

Laxus is dragged into his office. All of the women file in and don't waste a second before they get right to it.

"What's the hold-up?" Mira asks.

"What are you talking about?"

"Lucy expressed wanting intimate relations yet you're making her wait," Erza says.

Laxus points at all of the other women, "They're the ones that told me to."

"I didn't," Cana puts in.

"She told you she was ready," Lisanna states.

"Yeah, but then she helped out with the paperwork, so I wanted to wait until that worry wasn't in the back of our minds."

Mira smacks him upside the head.

"What the hell!"

"There's always going to be something going on and plenty to worry about, no matter what." Bisca comments.

Laxus rubs the sore spot on his head, "Would you leave me alone if I told you I have something planned for her tonight?"

"Oh! Like what?" Mira squeals.

"I'm not telling you."

"Lucy will tell us all about it afterward," Erza states.

"That's fine, I just don't want you loudmouths to ruin my surprise."

All of the women glare at him for calling them loudmouths.

"I do need your help with one thing." Laxus couldn't cook if his life depended on it so he's hoping they'll do this favor for him.

Lucy watches the scenery go by as she sits on the train and goes over everything she was told. She goes through all of the positives and negatives of taking her rightful spot as a Heartfilia. Lucy's portable communication lacrima goes off.

Laxus: Hey! Just wanted to check in and see how you are.

Lucy: I'm doing good, on the train home.

Laxus: I'm looking forward to seeing you. Everything go all right with the Queen?

Lucy: It was very informative and I can't wait to see you too. :)

She finds the messaging system Warren added to their portable comm is super cool. She spends the rest of the time messaging him while thinking about how she's going to bring up everything she learned today to Laxus, Master Makarov, and the rest of the guild.

When the train arrives at Magnolia Station it's three o'clock in the afternoon. Virgo had taken all of her belongings when she left so she didn't have to worry about grabbing anything and could get right off the train. When she steps off of it, Laxus is there waiting for her. She walks up to him, wraps her arms around him, and gives him a chaste kiss on his jawline.

Laxus puts his arm around her shoulder, "Can you tell me about it?"

"I can, but if it's all right with you, I would like to wait. A lot of information was thrown my way."

Laxus kisses her on the top of her head, "of course." His arm slides down to her waist and he hugs her to him. Lucy wraps her arm around him too. Laxus is curious about Lucy's meeting with the Queen. He can tell she's a little bothered by it and hopes it isn't anything too bad.

When they arrive at the guild, the girls try to get it out of Lucy what the Queen wanted to talk to her about but it's futile especially when Laxus shuts them down.

Lucy yawns and gets off the bench, "I think I'm going to go home for a bit and rest."

Laxus stands up, "All right." He wraps his arms around her and zaps them out of the guild. When he lands at her doorstep he asks, "Would you like to have dinner tonight?"

"Yeah, I would like that."

"Awesome, be ready at seven." Laxus kisses her on the cheek.

"See you then."

He teleports himself back home before she even has a chance to ask what to wear.

When Lucy wakes up from her nap it's five thirty. Not a long nap, but she is feeling a little more refreshed. She only has an hour and a half to get ready so she goes straight to the bathroom to shower and prep for the night. She shaves, tweezes, moisturizes, etc... She is going to get her way tonight even if she has to summon Taurus's strength and pin him down herself. When she's done she rummages through her closet and tries to decide on what to wear. He never said where they're going so she settles on something comfortable and easy to take off.

As Cancer finishes up her hair there's a knock on the door. "Hold on! I'll be right there." She thanks Cancer and dismisses him. She gives herself a once-over in the mirror. 'Cancer always does such a splendid job.'

As she heads to the door she puts on a light coat, grabs her keys, and puts them in the inside pocket. She opens the door and is met with Laxus standing there looking handsome as always. He's wearing a blue button-down dress shirt, the first few buttons undone, showing a bit of his collarbone, grey slacks, and black dress shoes.

When Lucy opens the door he whistles. "Damn, you're gorgeous." Her hair is down and cascading down her back. She's wearing a simple black thin-strap dress that reaches mid-thigh, and black heels that give her an extra inch.

He holds his arm out for her, "Ready?"

Lucy links her arm with his, "Yeah." She lets him lead her outside.

He holds her in his arms, crashes his lips to hers, and teleports to his home right in front of his door. He breaks off the kiss and then opens the door for her. He grasps her hand and guides her through his home.

Lucy walks in and sees that it's dimly lit. She walks out with him to his back deck and when she sees what he's done she whispers, "Laxus."
