CHAPTER 4

Naruto and the Uchiha's had just finished dinner, Mikoto stayed to clean while Sasuke left to sleep. Naruto asked to talk to Fugaku, Shisui and Itachi before he left. They agreed as they made their way outside.

Naruto spoke up, "Now that Danzo's sorted out, there's something that must be handled, his Root. Danzo controlled Root by making seals that prevented them from talking about anything incriminating. The seals disappear with Danzo's death and with that, i'm sure the organisation is in disarray. I'm going to handle it and take control of the group but in the future i'll need someone to take leadership of the group."

The three Uchiha's remained silent for a moment as Shsiui put his arms up, "I'm out, I don't think the leadership thing is for me."

As he finished, Fugaku nodded, "I'll do it." Itachi looked at his father confusedly,

"Are you sure?" Asked Naruto, "I doubt you'd be able to handle the Uchiha's and Root."

Fugaku nodded again, "That's true, that's why i'll begin training Itachi to take over as the head of the Uchiha.". This statement shocked both Shisui and Itachi, but before they could say anything, Fugaku spoke once again, looking towards Itachi, "As much as you may not believe it, there's none better to lead the Uchiha's to a better future.".

Itachi thought about it for a moment before he nodded. "If you believe so, father, then I'll accept." he said, his voice never breaking it's monotone tone

"Perfect. How long do you reckon the training will take?" Asked Naruto to Fugaku.

"Honestly, i'd say a few years at most. I'll have to train him then once he's clan head, i'll have to monitor him for some time to make sure everything is in order. Once that's done, I can fully dedicate my time to Root."

Naruto nodded, "Sounds good, is everyone fine with this?" he asked as everyone nodded.

"That's all I wanted to say; Oh, by the way Fugaku, tell Sasuke to come to Training ground 7 tomorrow morning."

"Beginning his training already?"

"The sooner the better" Naruto responded as he vanished

Fugaku entered the house, leaving Shisui and Itachi outside. "That guy really is something… interesting, a nine year old that doesn't act like a nine year old." Shisui said.

"I concur, I do wonder what's in store for the future."

"Oh he's definitely taking over the world." Shisui joked as Itachi slightly smiled, the two said their goodbyes as Itachi entered the house while Shisui left ot this own home.

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto opted to walk in the village, taking in the scenery, there were less people but the village still seemed full of them. A Lot of them treated him with more respect while there were still some who weren't fond of him. He ignored them as he made his way to the hospital, hoping the Hyuga's were still there. He didn't feel like going through the protocol for visiting patients so he snuck past and went straight to Hitomi's room. He reached the room as he looked around, seeing absolutely no one in sight, not suprising.

He knocked, a moment later a "Come in!" was heard. He opened the door to see Hinata and Hanabi sleeping beside Hitomi, with Hiashi still sitting next to her.

"Naruto?" Hiashi asked.

"Sorry to interrupt, I wanted to request for Hinata to meet me tomorrow at Training ground 7. I want to begin her training as soon as possible."

Hiashi looked towards Hitomi as she nodded, "Very well." said Hiashi, "Although i'd like to know the methods in which you'll train her in. We've tried everything we could but she could not take to the Hyuga's technique as well as we had hoped."

Naruto pointed to a chair, "May I?" the two nodded as Naruto sat down. "I'll take a different approach to the usual Hyuga style, you mentioned she doesn't take well to the training, yes?" Hiashi nodded. "Well take a new approach to the Hyuga's fighting style."

"Modifying the Gentle Fist… the Hyuga will not take well to that, you know?" Hiashi said.

"I'd imagine, although once she's powerful they'd have choice but to accept the fact."

"Although I trust you more than most, i'd like to have Hinata's servant accompany her to your training, just in case."

Naruto waved him off, "If it'll ease your mind then go ahead." Naruto turned to leave, "I'll take my leave now." he said as he disappeared.

"What do you think?" asked Hitomi.

"Honestly… I don't know, i don't know anything about him but he seems to have Hinata's best interest in his heart. Or perhaps his interests require Hinata. We'll have to see in the near future. But something about him makes me feel like we can trust what he says." he answered

"I see what you mean… perhaps it's those eyes of his?"

"I sensed no fluctuation of chakra so I doubt it."

"Anyway, where were we?"

SCENE CHANGE

Naruto stood atop the Hokage monument, he held his head as a slight headache came upon him. He ignored them initially but it persisted, "Damn this headache."

"It's becuase of the memories." Naruto blinked as he found himself in front of Kurama's cage.

"Kurama?"

"I suspect. your headache may be caused by the memories of the old man, and the one you fought today."

"How do you figure?"

"I only assume, perhaps your own mind is fighting against the others, trying to retain it's sense of self."

"You might be onto something, after all, i've only begun to remember stuff just a few years ago, so having 2 lifetimes worth of memories may cause a friction within my own mind."

"That may be the case, if so you'll have to stop while you're ahead."

"I don't know… knowing all about someone is very interesting for me. I mean, i know everything about Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the man who wanted to bring the world together through Ninshu, and i also know about Danzo, the man who wanted the world to submit, with The Leaf being on top. It's interesting to see such unique perspectives."

"Hm, well in that case you'll have to constantly control it before you lose yourself. With many personalities clashing who knows what may happen if you lost control."

Naruto slightly smiled. "I guess so, hopefully my curiosity won't get the better of me." he said as he vanished from the mindscape.

He opened his eyes and found himself back in the real world, he sighed as he sat down. "So if i lose control, theres a chance i'll be a mindless monster… or i'll just shut down. Damn" he said to himself.

He decided to meditate for a moment as he sat cross legged, he figured this'll be the best way to keep his mind under control. And surely enough, it worked. "A temporary but effective solution." He said as he stood up.

He thought about the next day, he was due to meet Sasuke and Hinata for training tomorrow and he should make his presence known at Danzo's hideout, to make sure they know who'll be in charge. He took off as he flew towards his apartment. Unknown to even Naruto, 5 cloaked figures watched from the sidelines.

"Is it time yet?" one of the figures asked.

"Just a few more days until we make our move." another answered.

"I don't understand what's so special about him." a female voice said.

The second voice responded, "You haven't seen what I've seen of him. Albeit very young, he's extremely powerful, and his chakra somewhat resembles the traitor's son. He'll be perfect for my Karma."

Yessiiiirrrrr, a bit late but we here. Next chapter will show Hinata and Sasuke's goals in the story and their importance in the future. And it'll have Naruto officially taking leadership in ROOT.
