Chapter 05

The Return.

The last few weeks between easter holiday, and O.W.L. exams were far from being as horrid as Jasmine's last few years with Hermione had been. Which rather surprised Jasmine. At least till she took a few moments to think about it. Without any other students or teachers around stressing about the upcoming exams, Hermione's own stresses could only really feed off Jasmine, Remus, or Sirius. Sirius and Remus were keeping the work more laid back, meaning their final prep work did not feel any harder than normal. Even if it was all review at this point. And Jasmine while worried about the upcoming exams was far from stressed out about them.

Jasmine and Hermione also had a lot more of their time taken up by things other than their studies. If they were not studying, then they were learning other things from Sirius or Remus. Politics, basic finance, and housekeeping had joined the general studies alongside dueling, and combat. Plus, there were of course Jasmine's children, which could get Hermione away from a book faster than anyone else. Lily and Rose would change forms so they could lay across Hermione's book and give her large puppy dog gazes of longing, appearing as if they had been left alone far too long. James's approach to the matter was entirely different. He would jump or lay on Hermione's back in his puppy form till she made a move to get him off her, only to run away and then return if she tried to start studying again.

Jasmine always had other things on her mind that kept her off Hermione's tendency to over stress about their exams, even if it was more warranted this time. The biggest being she could not just show up at Hogwarts, and call herself either Jasmine Potter or Harry Potter. With all she had learned from the others, Deloris Umbridge was dead set on either getting her hands on Dumbledore or Harry. And like Voldemort, appearing unable to find or do something would sooner or later cause problems for Fudge and those that followed him. They needed to prove they could do something.

So, Jasmine would have to hide who she was. This came with the obvious problem of figuring out a good cover story for her new identity. They had spent several long nights debating names, and possible back stories. A few were discarded quickly enough, but one they came across seemed both shockingly simply and hard to disprove. All it would take was some basic changes to her appearance, and a little bit of hair dye, and no one would guess who she really was. Even if someone asked a lot of questions, she could answer without fear that anyone being able verify what she said as true or false. At least not quickly.

The other concern she had, was making sure her new fake name got onto the examiner's list. And that her results were then filed correctly under her own name of Jasmine Potter. Professor McGonagall, who was in on the plan would make sure everything went according to plan on that front. As the examiners were not under direct Ministry control, they could be asked to do things without the Ministry finding out till later. Jasmine as such would get her results under her official name even if she used a fake name for the exams.

This left her with one last big worry. Being apart from her kids for those two weeks. Though they were clearly independent enough to handle her leaving, she was still very worried. As though they might look to be three or four, they were still only nine months old. It did not matter how they looked or acted, none of them were quite really to be apart for such a long time. However, for the exams, Jasmine would have to stay at Hogwarts for two weeks. She might be able to leave on Saturday and Sunday, but otherwise she would be almost completely confined to the school. Especially if she did not want to break cover.

It was going to be hard for the kids, especially Lily. Jasmine went back and forth on the idea of just waiting another year to take the exams. Really there was no reason she had to take them this year other than sit with them with the rest of her original year's classmates. She could even have the exams privately done at a later date if she wished. Jasmine also felt if she did not head back to the school for the exams, then she would never return to the school again. Or at least not till her own children finally left for Hogwarts.

To her, it also felt wrong that her last time she would ever see the place, was when she had left at the end of her fourth year. She might still be seeing her friends, but it felt wrong to leave the school without some sort of final goodbye. And it felt right, that if she was never going to see the place again, might as well end it on a high note of completing her exams. Then she could at least say her four years at the school had been worth something. Though she knew deep down they had been worth a lot to her already, after all she had met Hermione and gotten away from the Dursley's.

"Last chance," Hermione said glancing at Jasmine as they left Sirius's house.

"I have to do this," Jasmine said, her ears dropping flat as she closed the door.

"I know," Hermione said, hugging Jasmine and giving her a soft kiss, still hidden from the outside world by the house's wards, "But even I would not blame you for turning around right now. Your future is in that house and back at my house. No matter what you chose, I know James, Lily and Rose will love you all the same."

Jasmine nodded, but steal herself, and walked slowly away from the door. The first steps down to the sidewalk were the hardest, as she knew there was no real turning once she made them. She had made her choice, and she was going to take the good and bad that came with it. Hermione soon fell into step beside hers, as they got ready to head to Hogwarts separately. Jasmine would be taking the Knight Bus, while Hermione would be taking the Floo from the Leaky Cauldron to Hogsmeade. This would allow Hermione to reach the school first, which while not essential to their plan, made things easier for them in the long run.

They reached the entrance to the London Underground, and Jasmine and Hermione hugged each other tightly one last time. Before finally going their own ways. Jasmine watched as Hermione vanished down the stairs and finally out of sight. Before she herself turned and walking along the streets slowly. She did not realize how hard it would be to let them each go. Her children, then Hermione, even if only for a short two weeks. And though she would see and spend time with Hermione at Hogwarts, it would not be the closeness she had come to love and enjoy.

Stopping finally on an empty street at random Jasmine took a deep breath. This was her last chance to back out, and head back to home. However, stealing her nerves she raised her hand with her wand, hailing the Knight Bus. The bang a moment later, made her ears go flat again. She had forgotten just how loud some magical things could be. She also wondered how in the world the thing stayed hidden, as it was three decker bus, painted bright purple and let out a resounding bang each time it jumped from location to location. Even magic had to have its limits. Right?

It came to a halt a few feet from her, and the conductor, Stan Shunpike stepped out.

"One trip to Hogwarts," Jasmine said, before he could speak up, "Call me Jasmine Evans."

The trip to Hogwarts was thankfully not very long. Though the bus kept banging along as it jumped from place to place to drop off or pick up passengers. It was not as loud as Jasmine had feared on the inside of the bus. The trip was about thirty minutes in total before she finally reached Hogsmeade. Jasmine got out near the Hogsmeade Station, quite happy to be free of the bus. Even if the banging had not been too harsh on her ears, the jumping locations did not make for a very smooth ride.

Jasmine pulled her small pack up and slung it over her back, before turning and heading towards the school. Professor McGonagall knew what time Jasmine would be roughly arriving, and as such would be at the gates waiting for her. From there, the two weeks of acting would begin. As she walked the short distance through the village, and off to the drive to Hogwarts, Jasmine was quite pleased to see no one recognized her or otherwise stared at her any more than was common for any other random passerby.

Something she was also not quite ready for were the smells. Living in and around London, Jasmine had gotten used to the scents of the area putting them out of her mind easily. Out here in the rural parts of Scotland, the air. Well, it was different. Fresh was to not quite the word for it. Pure, even untouched felt more correct. She felt a clearness to the air that she had never realized London had been missing. Even with the scents of the village in the air, the smell of the air around her spoke of wild things far beyond her understand. It awoke a wild urge in Jasmine to change and run around just enjoying the air and the scents this place had to offer. It took several minutes of her walk to stamp down these urges, though she still kept breathing deeply, enjoying the much nicer air around Hogwarts.

As Jasmine rounded a corner, the trees parted, and Jasmine stopped as Hogwarts came into view once more. While not as impressive as the first time she saw it, with its huge size lit up against the night sky. The moon revealing its massive shape to all the first years with her. It was still an impressive sight even in the light of day. She wished she could spend more time there, but the draw of her family called much more her now than the school ever did. Jasmine started walking again, and soon spotted Professor McGonagall waiting for her. Beside her stood Hagrid, both waiting for her by the gate. It was time for the acting to begin.

"Miss Jasmine Evans, I presume?" Professor McGonagall asked as Jasmine came to a stop at the gate.

Jasmine gave a small nod and said, "Yes, and you are Professor McGonagall?"

"Yes. This is Professor Hagrid," Professor McGonagall said, gesturing towards Hagrid.

Jasmine gave the giant of a small if a bit of an apprehensive smile. She knew Hagrid was harmless, unless you really angered him. But as Jasmine Evans, she would not have known that. And though they had wanted to tell Hagrid what was going on, they also knew Hagrid had a terrible track record for keeping secrets, well secret. Not that he would tell anyone intentionally, but he had a bad habit of letting details he should not let slip, slip.

"There, there," Hagrid said, smiling down at her in a kindly way, "No need to worry about old me."

Jasmine nodded, though did not say anything as Hagrid opened the gate and let her in. She walked through, still glancing at Hagrid with an air of uncertainty, despite his friendly demeanor. Though she did give him a small smile, which got a chuckle out of the man.

"Right," Professor McGonagall said, "Thank you Hagrid. I suggest you get need ready for your exams. Miss Evans, follow me."

"Right," Hagrid said, a curious look on his face as he looked at Jasmine as if she seemed familiar to him.

Jasmine knew she likely did, and her last name change would give it away the moment he thought about it. And her new appearance would support that as well. Thankfully, he soon left leaving Jasmine alone with Professor McGonagall, who turned and heading up the path towards the castle.

"It is good to see you Miss Evans, I was quite surprised to receive your letter to take your O.W.L.s at Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said, clearly not dropping the act even though no one was about.

"Well, after hearing about it for so long, I always wanted to see it," Jasmine answered easily.

"Your letter mentioned you were raised in France?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Yes, though I was born here in England," Jasmine answered.

"Why come back?" Professor McGonagall asked, curious as she did not know all of Jasmine's fake backstory.

"Well, after mom found out I could use magic. We also figured out about her cousin, Lily, who had been able to use magic before she died. She, Lily, went to school here. My aunt had told my mother to run should Lily died. Saying the country was no longer safe at all. Though it was not till we found out about my own magic did we realize what had taken place," Jasmine said, then added in a softer voice, "I was hoping to meet my distance cousin here as well. But he seems to have left."

"Lily…" McGonagall said, then asked, "Would you mean Lily Evans?"

"Yes, we were able to confirm she was the same person through Gringotts Bank. We tried to see if we had more family still alive who might have magic. Mom knew her cousins the Dursleys were still alive, though she never really talked to them. Though they don't have a drop of magic in them. Which just left Harry, who I think is like my second cousin once removed. Or something like that. I was hoping to meet him and see what he is like."

Professor McGonagall nodded looking thoughtful, saying, "Well, he still might show up. He could be taking his O.W.L.s aboard like you are. But there is still a chance he will return in time for them. At the very least, I think you should meet and hang out with his friends. They should be able to give you a good idea what he is like, nor will their opinions be tainted by his unfortunate fame."

"That would be nice. Thank you, Professor," Jasmine said giving Professor McGonagall a hopeful smile.

Professor McGonagall and Jasmine stopped at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the Hogwarts's Entrance Hall. Both gazing up at the towering castle above them. Jasmine felt more in awe of the place than ever. Her senses tingled, and a warm feeling seemed to be coming from the castle. It took her a few moments to realize what her senses were picking up, what she was really feeling. She could feel the magic within Hogwarts itself. Old, powerful, and strong. It had stood for centuries, and with the magic it held within its walls it would stands for centuries yet.

"It is really rather impressive. Up close," Jasmine said, her voice hush as she spoke.

"Yes, it is," Professor McGonagall said, a little surprised by the sudden changed in Jasmine.

"I can feel it, the magic," Jasmine whispered, "So vast… so old… so loving… It likes being a school and a haven for students."

Professor McGonagall turned to look at Jasmine, and studied her for a few moments. Though Jasmine paid her no mind. As she wondered just how she had never noticed this power and presence around her before. How had no one noticed what they were living in. It was a being unlike any she had ever met before, and it was welcoming her happily back.

"Miss Evans?" Professor McGonagall said questioningly.

Jasmine slowly refocused on Professor McGonagall, "Sorry Professor, I just… never felt anything like that before. I have noticed odd things about people before. But till this moment, I never realized it was the nature of their magic I was sensing. I just thought it was their scent. But no. It is more, it is their very magic I could smell and sense."

"That is quite the talent you have," Professor McGonagall said, with a meaningful look.

Jasmine sighed and nodded, "Yes, I will have to think more on it later. Maybe we can discuss it after my tests, in a more private setting if you want."

Professor McGonagall nodded, and gestured for Jasmine to follow her once again. They walked up the stairs in silence, yet Jasmine who now knew what she was smelling was deep in thought. A sniff, told her so much, and she was trying to decide the many meanings of the new scents. There were easily hundreds if not a thousand of scents alone from the students. Then there was the scent Hogwarts itself gave off. That in and of itself was a mix of so many hundreds of thousands of scents. Each part of the scent was completely unique yet at the same time, each part seemed to have what she could only describe as a unity between them. She also smelled something else, something much darker and dangerous, yet fearfully familiar.

Jasmine's thoughts were cut short, by the sight of a squat witch waiting for them at the top of the stairs. She was short, barely Jasmine's own height much to Jasmine's confusion. Her face was wide and soft. She was dressed in bright pink robes, with a bow perched right on top of her head. It was girlish in the extreme, yet her face with its soft wide mouth reminded Jasmine more of a toad, than a girl or a woman. Her scent when Jasmine caught a whiff of it, was odd, sickly sweet with a putrid after scent.

"So, you are Miss Evans," The woman said with a soft simpering voice, that like her scent was just too sweet and girlish sounding.

"Yes, Madam. Jasmine Evans," Jasmine said, giving a small nod, "I am visiting for O.W.L. exams."

"I am Headmistress Deloris Umbridge," Professor Umbridge said the sweetness in her voice giving Jasmine an odd chill, "I heard we would be having a visiting student for the exams, though I had not been informed we would till just a day ago. Where are you from?"

"France Professor, my mother hired me private tutors. Beauxbatons is quite expensive, and she did not want me to be gone for so long. Tutors were cheaper, and kept me at home," Jasmine answered easily.

Jasmine knew her story by heart by this point. She had been working on it for the last few months with both Sirius and more importantly Remus. As a werewolf, Remus had gotten used to making false identities and back stories to cover for his lack of formal education. With his help Jasmine had been able to iron out a lot of the problems that could come from a fake cover. In this case, it would be hard to prove what she said was false, both because the Ministry did not track Muggle borns families, but also because she was from another country. Which would make the process to track down her history even harder, as you were not required to travel with paper work, or even stop by the Ministry of Magic to register yourself. Jasmine might hate how old the Ministry and the Wizarding world was, but at times like this, it made life much easier.

Professor Umbridge looked like she wanted to dispute this for several moments, but then gave Jasmine a smile. Unlike other smiles Jasmine had seen, this one did not make her feel remotely happy. She felt that Umbridge knew who she was. Or at the very least, she guessed who Jasmine really was. And the only reason Umbridge was not calling out Jasmine was the simple fact she did not have proof. If Umbridge was wrong, she could cause an international incident which was not so easily swept under the rug. Still Jasmine neither flinched nor moved in response to the smile, knowing it would be best not to give anything away or show weakness before this toad of a woman.

"Very well, it shall be an honor having you here. Just be careful, we would not want to have any trouble with the students here. While I cannot punish you as I would any other student, should you be found breaking the rules, I can eject you from the school," Umbridge said in a simpering tone, that put Jasmine even more on edge.

This toad of a woman bluntly threatening her, plain and simple. Fortunately, Jasmine had already planned for this possibility. It did not matter if Umbridge played this kind of game, Jasmine was ready to play as well. And unlike Umbridge who only had the Slytherins for help, Jasmine was trained by Sirius and Remus. Jasmine was more than up to that challenge. Even if Umbridge had not been stupid enough to make those rather obvious veiled threats, Jasmine was already going to be extremely cautious the entire time she was at Hogwarts.

"I shall keep that in mind," Jasmine said, smiling before Professor McGonagall and her walked away and into the Great Hall.

While Jasmine had been a little on edge around Umbridge, her nervousness spiked as she entered the Great Hall. For a fair portion of the students were now looking at her. Jasmine fervently hoped her disguise would work, and no one would realize who she was. Though, even she knew how hard it would be for someone to pin her as Harry Potter. Done up as she was, even she would not had guessed who she had been to begin with.

Her hair was dyed from its normal deep silky black to a brownish red, and braid down her back till it reached her rear. In her hair was a blue headband, which served the dual purpose of keeping her hair out of her face that got loss of the braid, and was covered with magical runes on the inside. The purpose of which was to keep her canine ears concealed, while creating a fake pair of human ears where her ears should have been. With the robes on, and plan clothes underneath them, she looked like a visiting student that was getting used to wearing robes. She also had a small sash around her waist, under her robes that covered and hid her tail. This was done with a small pocket space so it would not get cramped from being out of position or tied to her side.

A bit of makeup was all that was needed to keep her scar hidden from view. She thankfully no longer needed glasses, which would make her green eyes stand out even more alongside her softer female face. Yes, her eyes would connect her back to her Harry Potter self. But as she was playing the part of his distance cousin, through his mother's side, no one would question why she had similar eyes to Harry or Lily Potter. She looked different enough that no one would be able to say for certain she was Harry Potter, much like Umbridge. But just close enough that it was believable she could be related to him.

Her back story was simple enough as she had told Professors Umbridge and McGonagall. Her mother, one Marygold Evans had had her just over fifteen years ago, but the father had not stuck around. Marygold had known Lily as a kid, but ran when she found out her cousin had died. Years later, when Jasmine had grown up, and they had found out about magic, her mother kept her home and hired private tutors to train her to use magic. Then finding out not only was Petunia Dursley was still alive, but so was Lily Potter's son. Marygold and Jasmine had made efforts to reconnect with the family. It had not worked out well with the Dursley's, nor they had not seen any sign of Harry. Jasmine Evans as such had decided to take her O.W.L.s at Hogwarts in the chance that Harry Potter would show up, and she could bring him to France to meet the part of his family that was still alive.

It was a simple story, not complex. And would be hard to prove it was false, as Hermione had been teaching Jasmine and the children French for fun after they had joked about it months ago. And while Jasmine would not be able to convince someone from France that she was a native born. Her grasp was more than good enough to fool almost anyone from Hogwarts. Even then, as she was raised by a British native, so it would not be surprising if she knew a lot of the English traditions as well as French ones. So all she had to do, was avoid getting in trouble for two weeks.

Jasmine took a deep breath and moved forward into the Great Hall fully and well aware of the many eyes on her. While it was not unheard of for people outside Hogwarts to sit their exams at Hogwarts, it was not precisely common either. However, as with the rumor of Harry Potter traveling for this year of schooling, it was believable other students would visit different schools during this year as well. Still, her nervousness was very real as she followed behind McGonagall. She had never been in a group this big since her change, and it was throwing her off more than she had expected.

Professor McGonagall stopped along what Jasmine knew to be the Gryffindor table and looked down at a bushy brown head student and smiled, "Miss Granger, I know you are getting used to returning to Hogwarts after your time studying at home. But I was wondering if you would be willing to help me with something."

Hermione eyes flicked to Jasmine for a second, a curious expression in them, "Sure, what is it Professor McGonagall."

Jasmine smiled mentally to herself. Hermione was not a great liar, yet she seemed to be pulling the act off convincingly. Her voice was not stilted or anything, nor was she spacing her words out in an odd fashion. She only hoped the Weasley's would follow suit and not act to oddly around her. Though the only one that really worried her on that matter was Ron.

"This is Miss Jasmine Evans; she will be visiting our school for the duration of O.W.L.s exams. As you were a Prefect before you left, I trust you to make her feel at home here, and show her around the school today. I will come by after lunch to show Miss Evans where she will be spending the night. I will ask you follow the rules carefully, our Headmistress had taken an interest in Miss Evans. No doubt to see how our school compares to her private tutors," Professor McGonagall answered in her normal brisk matter-a-fact fashion.

"I… I can do that, what are her courses she will be taking?" Hermione asked, a little hesitantly as if it would get in the way of her own studies.

"Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, and Care of Magical Creatures," Jasmine answered for McGonagall as she had not told anyone yet what she planned on taking.

Professor McGonagall, glanced at Jasmine for a second her eyebrows raised at the list, "that is quite the range."

Jasmine as Harry had never taken Ancient Runes or Arithmancy. Nor was she taking History of Magic or Divination. However, in their time studying Hermione had been able to show Jasmine runes and Arithmancy, and Jasmine had fallen in love all over again, wishing she had followed Hermione during her second year to take those classes. At the very least, she knew with these course changes, it would be another thing that would disconnect her from Harry Potter.

"The core five subjects, I knew I would have to take here. History of Magic has a different grading standard country to country. My tutors loved Magical Creatures, while Ruins and Arithmancy, I learned myself, and wanted to see just how far I have come on them. As for Muggle studies, I want to see how good I am without having ever taken a muggle studies class, I was after all, muggle raised," Jasmine answered

Professor McGonagall nodded, while Hermione blinked looking genuinely surprised, having not expected those classes to be the one Jasmine took. She had known most of them, but not Arithmancy or Ancient Runes nor had she ever guessed Muggle Studies. This surprise, was also part of Jasmine's and Remus's plan. As if Hermione did not even know everything about Jasmine or her schooling, then even less could be linked back to her being Harry.

"Miss Granger, Miss Evans. I shall let you two get to know each other. And I will see you after lunch." Professor McGonagall said, and swept off towards the teacher's table.

Jasmine glanced uneasily about before she sat down across from Hermione. Jasmine noticed none of their normal crowd was about. Not even Ron. Who she knew would never miss a meal. Before she could think to ask about this, Ron and most of her former year mates came in through the door. It seems they had just gotten out of class. Something neither Jasmine nor Hermione had to do.

"Here comes everyone," Hermione said unnecessarily, as it seemed the other half of the school had finally shown up.

"I never realized how many people went here," Jasmine commented, barely loud enough for Hermione to hear.

Hermione just nodded as Jasmine picked out some food for herself, waiting for Ron to inevitably notice herself and Hermione. Ron though seemed to walk by without noticing either of them. Ginny, however did as she looked down the table at the last of the students showing up. She moved and came to sit beside Hermione. When Ginny glanced at Jasmine, confusion on her face as she clearly could not figure out who Jasmine was even if she familiar enough. It made Jasmine feel a lot better that this could be done if even Ginny could not guess who she was at a glance.

"Hi, I am Jasmine Evans," Jasmine said before Ginny could say anything might lead to many questions, "I am here for O.W.L. exams."

Ginny's eyes widen, before recognition came into her eyes, along with a small smile, "A pleasure to meet you. New to the school then?"

"First day," Jasmine admitted.

"Bet it is a bit of a shock, being here," Ginny asked, her tone and face a showing a polite interest of a new friend, rather than that of meeting an old friend. Jasmine had been right, Ginny was good.

"A bit, not used to so many people," Jasmine said glancing about, "At least not like this."

"To bad my brothers are not here, they would have enjoyed making you feel right at home. But they fled the school a few weeks back, after causing our esteemed Headmistress a fair bit of trouble. They left a swamp that covered a corridor upstairs. The Caretaker has had to boat students across it every day," Ginny said, a grin playing across her face.

Jasmine was suddenly interested. Though she had a rough idea what was going at the school thanks to Dumbledore, and letters to Professor McGonagall, a lot of details were missed. Including it seemed that the Weasleys twins had finally left. Jasmine wondered why Sirius nor Remus had mentioned that, or even Mrs. Weasley. That was something she would have to find out when she got home from the exams.

As Ron did not deem it necessary to sit with them, or at least just did not notice them. Jasmine sent the entire lunch sitting with Ginny and Hermione. Ginny carefully leading into topics of discussions to explain the many happenings around the school. Some were good, others troubled Jasmine greatly. The Inquisitorial squad was one such topic that Jasmine knew about, but not how big it had really become. Jasmine glanced at the Slytherin table and a fair number of students with these new badges pinned proudly to the front of their robes. She guessed nearly a quarter of the students had a badge on them. She could also tell nearly if not all the children of the Death Eaters were also part of this group.

As lunch finished, Professor McGonagall came over, and collected Jasmine and Hermione. She led the pair up fifth floor, then down a side passage that Jasmine had never been down before. What was down it, were nearly two dozen guest rooms. Set aside for visiting students, teachers, parents, or other such people. Each door had a password that could be set to it, which Jasmine did so. Though she did not enter the room.

"Professor," Jasmine said speaking carefully, "How many people know where I am staying? Or could guess where I will be?"

"Most of the staff," Professor McGonagall answered, an interested look in her eyes.

"I see," Jasmine said after a moment, already seeing a big potential problem as she glanced back towards the only entrance to the corridor they were in.

Professor McGonagall followed her gaze, and soon realized what was troubling Jasmine. If Jasmine was in a known location each night, it would not be hard for Umbridge to set up some sort of trap for the girl. Worse still, without a second route to escape to Jasmine would have to fight her way out rather than just flee. Something which would not end well for all involved.

"Since we have the afternoon off, why don't I show you some more of the school," Professor McGonagall suggested.

"That would be great," Jasmine said, as an idea clicked in her brain, and she quickly added, "why not start with the tallest tower, and work our way down from there."

Professor McGonagall gave Jasmine a curious look, before nodded and leading the way out of the passage, ignoring that Jasmine casted an invisibility charm on her pack as she went. Jasmine would make it appear as if she was staying in the room, when in reality, it seemed Jasmine had another place in mind to stay. Professor McGonagall and Hermione both found what that was as Jasmine had them stop in a corridor. Jasmine then began to pace back and forth across by a bare stretch of wall. Moments later a door appeared, and Jasmine grinning, entered the room. Hermione and Professor McGonagall followed behind a few moments later, to see a large common room with side rooms leading from it.

"I was discussing things with Dobby the house-elf," Jasmine began as she gestured around the room, "And we figured out a few places I could hide if it became clear my current lodging might be unsafe. He suggested this place. It is called the Room of Requirements, or The Come and Go Room to the Hogwarts elves. It appears when someone needs depending on their needs. But if you want to call up without issue, or have a particular room in mind. Then you need to pace by the entrance three times."

"A useful place indeed," Professor McGonagall said looking about the place happily, "No one will know you are staying here."

"That is the idea, and since the room can make anything, I want. It can also make an exit that is not were the entrance is. Though it will likely vanish the moment I leave the room, so I need to make sure to keep my stuff with me when I leave," Jasmine said, before adding, "Dobby did a little bit of testing for the room to find out the rules it followed."

"What happens if you leave your items in here," Hermione asked interestedly, as she looked out the windows of the room clearly curious as to what she would see.

"Dobby says they go to the Room of Lost Items, which according to him. Has about a thousand years' worth of lost junk in it. So annoying to find, but that is what summoning charms are for," Jasmine said with a small smile.

"I might have to look into that room later," Professor McGonagall said looking rather hopeful as she spoke, "If it has a thousand years of lost or hidden items. There could be some very useful lost texts in there."

"I plan on looking through the room Saturday and Sunday, I know I should be studying. But I am sure I would rather have the break, what with nearly twenty exams I am going to be taking," Jasmine said, as she felt for the first time a bit of worry over the coming exams.

"I shall come in visit after breakfast then on Saturday. Miss Granger, you are of course welcome to join us," Professor McGonagall said, with a small smile.

"Thank you," Hermione said, the idea clearly to her liking as well.

"So, now that you have shown me something," Professor McGonagall said, "I think it is time I show you the rest of the school for the first time Miss Evans. Would not due for you to get lost before you first exam."

Jasmine laughed as she and Hermione followed Professor McGonagall outside and began her tour of the castle.

Jasmine arrived at breakfast the next day, well rested and ready for the exams. She had seen the elderly witches and wizards that made up the examiners the previous night. From what she had heard, several of them had even been around long enough to test Albus Dumbledore of all people. The oldest, Madam Marchbanks, was near Professor Umbridge, sitting at the teachers table looking happily out over the students. Umbridge seemed to be trying and failing to get her attention, as her scowl seemed to grow each time Madam Marchbanks refused to say anything. Umbridge would then shoot a glare towards Jasmine, making Jasmine wondered if Umbridge was trying to find out something about her through Madam Marchbanks.

After breakfast, all the fifth years students were taken off to the side, before they came back into the Great Hall. Many desks were set up in it, equal distance apart where the long house tables had sat. One by one they were pointed to a seat, handed a test, paper, and answer sheet. Then Madam Marchbanks, who was watching over this part of the testing, rotated a massive hourglass. As it turned over, they were given the go ahead to begin their exams.

This was how their written part of the exams went. Jasmine smiled finding the exams surprisingly soothing compared to all her other tests at home. Mostly because up till recently, she had not had long periods of quiet to herself, what with her kids and all the training going on. To just be able to sit and write again felt nice, and soon she was working away at the large number of answers. After a hour, the testing was done, the fifth-year students were allowed to leave to study more for their practical exams in the afternoon, while the seventh-year students began their own written exams in N.E.W.T.s.

Jasmine and Hermione chatted happily about the exam as they left headed for the library. Jasmine noticed that Hermione was already beginning to stress out a little bit, though she still had not gotten as bad as she had during their third or even fourth year. Jasmine would have suggested a few things to keep Hermione's stress levels down, but nearly all of them would require blowing her cover if they did them. Besides, Hermione did have a point, reviewing their work one last time was a good idea.

After lunch, they began their practical in magic. Unlike the morning, each were called in and sent to different examiners to be tested on how well they could perform different spells. As this exam was charms, that involved many different and odd spells. From animating a teacup, to causing things to float, or summoning. Jasmine was quite happy that she had gotten this part of the exam down without issue. The written part might hurt her grade, but practical magic was her best point. Once they were done, each was let out to either do more studying or relax. Their tests down for the day, with their next exam being the next day.

After dinner that night, Jasmine tried to explore some. With all the magic in the castle singing to her, she wanted to see if she could find something odd. What she came across, was another student who was indeed rather odd looking. Her large gray eyes, gave her a constant surprised expression framed by silvery blonde hair. From her ears hung a pair of radishes, with a butterbeer cap necklace around her neck. Her wand was also tucked away behind her ear similar how muggles would tuck away a pencil there.

"Oh, hello Jasmine," The girl said, with a small smile.

"Hello? Do I know you?" Jasmine asked a little surprised.

"No, I supposed you never got the chance. I am Luna Lovegood," Luna said, her eyes filled with a dreamy look, that left Jasmine feeling oddly unnerved about.

Something was off about this girl, and it was not the odd items she was wearing either. Nor did it seem to be off in a good or bad way. Yet something was clearly not right about her either. Even her scent seemed odd to Jasmine as well, smelling like she was new, yet old to this world at the same time. Jasmine corrected herself, it was not her scent, but magic she was smelling. Though her she did have a sweet pudding scent to her flagrance, mixed along with hints of lemon and odd herbs mixed in.

"You know it is not quite polite to look at other people's magic," Luna said, catching Jasmine off guard.

"I was not doing that," Jasmine denied quickly.

"Oh, it is quite alright, if you don't know I suppose there is nothing wrong then," Luna commented, the dreamy expression become more pronounce, if that was possible.

Jasmine studied her for a few moments, and then asked, "How did you know I was studying your magic?"

"Oh, I can see how it fills you up when you sniff the air," Luna said, a small grin giving her already odd face a slightly insane look.

"Well… I can smell magic, though I only realized that recently," Jasmine said after a few moments of thought added, "It tells me a lot about a person. Yours smells new and old. Though you also have a smell of pudding about you."

To Jasmine's surprise, Luna laughed, and a momentary sad smile replaced the dreamy expression. The dreamy expression soon returned as she looked at Jasmine again. And suddenly Jasmine realized the expression was the 'something' that was off about the girl. A simple mask to hide her feelings, though why this girl had a such a mask, Jasmine had no clue. Though she knew there were many reasons to hide one's self. Everyone had one to hide something, even Jasmine's kids had one to try and hide when they told Hermione or Jasmine lies.

Luna answer surprised a little bit, "I can see the past, and possible futures. Miss Potter, it is… a gift."

The way Luna said 'gift' was almost the same way Jasmine felt about her fame. It was a gift, and a curse at the same time. It also made Jasmine wonder, if this so-called gift was part of the reason for the mask. Though she decided to let the Potter comment slide, if Luna really had that kind of power, there was no use in denying who she was. At least while no one was around anyway.

"The name is Jasmine Evans, at least currently," Jasmine said giving Luna a smile, showing she was not mad, "I can understand what that kind of gift is like. How did you… get it if I may ask."

Luna sighed for the first time, and a sadden expression passed over her eyes. Jasmine was a little surprised that the mask slipped so easily. Was Luna just not that good at keeping it up or was there more to this that Jasmine had no idea about? The dreamy look soon replaced it though. Jasmine not thinking reached out and lightly held Luna's shoulder. She wanted to hug the girl, though she was more than a little curious how that simple question had unsettled the girl.

"You do not have to say it. It was a personal question," Jasmine said gently as she studied the younger girl, "How about you walk with me tonight. I had decided to explore the school, and see if I could find the heart of its magic. It would be nice to talk with someone new as I look."

Luna's dreamy expression cleared and Jasmine could see a hopeful look in her eyes. It was soon hidden again, yet Jasmine had an idea why this one had slipped through. The girl was lonely and possibly bullied. Jasmine when she had still been Harry as a young boy, he had come up with ways of coping with his pains. Luna must have been doing the same, though something about meeting Jasmine kept her from hiding it quite so well. It made Jasmine wonder what Hermione would have been like had she had not made friends with Jasmine and Ron so early on.

The pair talked as they explored the castle, not following any real path. Jasmine learned a lot about Luna in the time they spent together. And she found herself liking the girl, despite her odd ideas and weird creatures she believed in. Though when Luna became worried Jasmine had not believed her, about the Crumple-Horned Snorkack Jasmines next comment caught Luna off guard.

"Well look at this way, wizarding kind is not logical or systematic in how it looks for things. Meaning there is a very real possibility it exists. Also, I think you might need to be looking for not one but two creatures, for if there is a Crumpled-horned Version, that suggest there should also be a smooth-horned Snorkack, or even a hornless Snorkack."

The hug and look of joy Jasmine got from Luna was enough to make her think that the night had been worth it just to meeting this strange girl. Seeing as it was almost curfew, Jasmine walked with Luna to her dorms, which happened to be the Ravenclaw tower. Though when they reached it, Jasmine was surprised by the fact the knocker asked not for a password, but gave a riddle instead.

"A box without hinges, key, or lid. Yet golden treasure inside is hide."

"You have to give the right answer to the riddle to get inside?" Jasmine asked, as she realized she had heard the riddle before, or more correctly read it.

"Oh yes. We are Ravenclaws. Knowledge, reason, and wisdom are the most important thing to us," Luna said with a small smirk.

She stepped forward, but when she spoke, it was not an answer. But something odd that did not sound like any words that Jasmine had ever heard. Luna looked a bit put out, but tried again. Only for once again for normal words to seemingly fail her. Seeing Luna becoming slowly distressed, Jasmine stepped up beside her.

"What is wrong Luna?" Jasmine asked, concern in her eyes.

Luna mumbled something, but like before it did not come out as human words. Only for Jasmine to realize she seemed to be speaking backwards. Jasmine pulled Luna away from the entrance and her words became suddenly clear again.

"Why now, it was such a good night, why did they have to lock me out tonight!" Luna said as her words lost their confusing pattern, and it was quite clear Luna was rather distressed.

Jasmine pulled the girl into a hug, cutting off her rant as she felt Jasmine arms engulf her body, "How long?"

Luna was silent for several minutes, not wanting to answer. Like Jasmine, Luna seemed surprised that Jasmine had guessed something about herself she had not wanted to reveal yet.

"I can let you in if you want. The spell clearly does not affect me. But if you don't want to go in you can stay with me tonight. I have a safe place to stay that not many know about," Jasmine said, speaking softly.

"Please," Luna said, a hint of a tremor in her voice, though Jasmine was not sure it was at the thought of going into Ravenclaw tower, or with Jasmine. Luna however, seemed to like her, so Jasmine took a chance.

"Follow me," Jasmine said, and went back down the corridor that they had come along.

They moved silent, but quickly. Jasmine holding onto Luna's hand, leading her safely along the passages till a door suddenly opened ahead of them. Jasmine smiled, as the room seemed to had just appeared to her, due to her greater need this night. Turning in, Jasmine pulled Luna into the room, before closing the door behind them.

"Welcome to the Room of Requirements," Jasmine said, to Luna's unasked question, "A room that appears when someone needs it. The greater the need, the faster it appears. It can be almost anything, in this case it is my dorm room till I leave the school."

Luna looked just shocked, and Jasmine carefully removed her headband, causing her normal ears to reappear. The appearance of Jasmine ears, caused Luna to stare at them for several moments a look of understand now on her face.

"You could see my magic, I take it there was hints of dog in it," Jasmine said giving Luna a small wink, "Also staring is a little rude you know."

Luna blinked then blushed looking a little flustered, at being caught studying Jasmine's own magic. Jasmine smiled and hugged her, "It is okay. We all have a right to stare a little."

"So that is why…" Luna said before her eyes widen, "why you never came back. Why you never…"

Jasmine looked at Luna with interest, sure that Luna was talking more to herself than to Jasmine. Luna had clearly seen possible futures with Harry if not Jasmine before. And judging by her expression, and how she had acted, Luna might have even picked out a future long ago she had wanted. A plan that had clearly failed. As Luna had clearly thought that Jasmine was supposed to return for her fifth year which of course, had not happened. Emotions passed over Luna's face, and a look of concentration came over it. But it gave way as several different emotions flickered through Luna's eyes anger, resentment, guilt, sadness, hope and fear.

"What is it, Luna?" Jasmine asked softly then added gently, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"You will hate me," Luna said softly a hint of the fear in her voice.

"No, I will not, no matter what you tell me," Jasmine said.

"You will," Luna said with a certainty that did almost unnerve Jasmine.

"Luna, I might get angry at you, but I will not hate you," Jasmine said, as an idea came into her head. If it was right, Luna would be partly right, as she did not like it at all, yet it made sense for the desperate, friendless girl before her, "How about this, let me guess and see how close I get."

Luna did not answer, but she did not ask Jasmine to stop either letting Jasmine make her guess, "You claim to see possible futures as well as the past. You saw a possible future where you had a lot of friends, and being bullied and alone you worked to achieve that future. OR at least you did not hinder events to let it come about. It also meant you knowingly did not stop Ginny handle a possessed Dairy, or Sirius Black getting into the castle, or even to stopping my name coming out of the Goblet of fire. You let it happen, because in the end, you would have friends who would do anything they could for you."

Luna looked utterly stunned by what Jasmine had said, and Jasmine spoke again her voice stern, "Do I guess near the mark?"

Luna nodded, after a few moments and hung her head in shame. Jasmine could see fear in Luna that her actions would finally catch up to her. That Jasmine would now spurn her, turn her out and away. Jasmine could see it in every inch of the girl, who seemed to be barely able to look at the person she had willingly let suffer. If only so that Luna herself might one day have her as a friend.

To feel safe. To have friends who would care for her. Those were feelings that Jasmine knew all to well. Jasmine did not feel hate for the Luna. Only pity for the girl who had not seen anyway of escaping what was going on. But blindly followed what appeared to be her only escape from her bully filled friendless life. Yes, it was wrong of Luna to not try and change the path she had walked, but Jasmine knew all to well what it was like to follow that one hope blindly into foolish decisions.

Luna gasped in surprise as Jasmine pulled Luna into a tight hug, "Luna, I cannot blame you for what you did. Being lonely is a curse that I know better than most, what it is like to bear. What you would happily do to just be liked again, to be loved by your family. I can remember countless times asking for someone to be my friend and what I would give up for it. I am not sure I would have done differently had I been in your position."

Luna was softly sobbing now into Jasmine arms, as she spoke, "This year was going to be your worse. Umbridge was going to torture you, and I was just going to let it happen, just so I could be your friend. You would have protected me from everyone, just by being my friend. It was so selfish of me to let you go through that pain, but I so wanted to be your friend, to be safe from those who have hurt me. Locked me out of the tower. Taking my things."

Jasmine nodded, as she held the crying girl, "And when you saw me tonight?"

"I was over my anger by then, that you had not shown up for your fifth year. But I was also hopeless, my sight had become blinded, to many things were changing. None of my visions made sense to me at the time. And I could not focus enough to see far into the future. When I saw you, it was like waking from a bad dream. You were being nice to me. You wanted to be my friend, just like that. But that stupid door was charmed against me. Still unable to focus, I could not tell what came next. What move lead to you being my friend. I was so scared that I would just trip up, and lose you." Luna said, the tears flowing steadily from her eyes.

Jasmine nodded in understand, "You wanted me to let you into the tower. To avoid a future you could not predict or control. Where I might reject you."

"Yes, I had let enough my secret slip, that it was not hard to guess you would figure out what I had done. I could not see pass the moment we can to the door of this room. To see if you remained my friend or not," Luna cried out, the fear and doubt clear in her voice.

"You are my friend, if that is what you want," Jasmine said, holding the girl tight to herself, "I am not happy that you did not help when you had a chance. But as I already said, I am not so sure I could have made any better of a choice in your place. We all make mistakes, and we forgive our friends when they make them. I forgive you."

Luna gasped at this, and threw her arms tight around Jasmine once more crying. However, the words soon had the effect Jasmine wanted on Luna. It was not to long before Luna began to calm down, an honest smile on her face. Jasmine smiled at her, glad to see a real smile make its return. Jasmine smiled and pointed towards a door she had not seen before. Luna glanced at it, and her eyes widen in surprise, as she clearly knew or at least guessed where it led.

"I do believe the room has provided you a room to sleep in tonight," Jasmine said leading the way over to the door.

Luna turned the door hand and carefully pushed it open, letting out a gasp of amazement at the sight before her. It was a tower room, with deep blue carpet a single bed in the center. Painting and pictures hug from the wall several of which had people in them that reminded Jasmine strongly of Luna.

"Your bedroom at home?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes," Luna said, as she ran to a bed and picked up a photo beside it and hugged it to her chest, a look of pure glee on her face, "I didn't think I would see this so soon."

Jasmine sat down beside Luna on the bed and saw her holding a photo. It was of a younger Luna, curled in the arms of an older woman, her mother. The way she looked at it, and the tender way she held it, Jasmine wondered just what had happened to Luna's mother. Luna however, seemed to want to get it all on the table for Jasmine to judge, to finally be rid of her past finally.

"My mother, she died, in a spell accident. The blast killed her, and gave me my blessing and curse," Luna said her voice low, "That night I saw many things as a kid. So many things I did not understand. So many I was not ready for. Ginny, yet not Ginny. Sirius Black hugging you. The rise of you-know-who. Those were just some of them. I saw my future, a lone person who was lost and friendless, yet another were my friends and children held me close. Another in which Hermione remained part cat, while another yet where you joined her. All choices yet to be made, yet those two images of being alone, or being with friends and family stuck with me the most."

Luna sighed deeply as she continued, "My dad is trying to hold onto reality, but he has been slipping slowly away since the accident. They had bound their lives in magic during their wedding, it was supposed to be a blessing, but became a curse. The bonder without its bond mate, slowly wears on the remainder, till they lose their mind. His mind, and magic try to reach her, but the pain returns to him each time he reaches out, like a wound that can never truly heal. It has been so hard, losing my mom in front of my eyes, and watching my dad slowly lose all connection to reality, to be driven slowly mad. A child, is not meant to cope with that, and no one knew what to do to help. I could only look at that one future, and hope it worked out, or lose everything and be forever alone."

Jasmine pulled Luna slowly, carefully onto her lap as she felt the girl begin crying again. She held Luna as mother would. Jasmine held her as she would one of her own children. Luna was soon sobbing again, as her emotions finally allowed to escape and poured out of the girl. Luna was hurt. A wound with pain that had been festering for years. A wound which only grew with each summer she went home friendless and alone, to see her father who was a little less sane than when she had last seen him. And now, for the first time, that deep wound could be calmed and soothed so the healing could begin.

Luna had no hope that things would change which had led to her despair, and her desperate plan. Only to lose that little bit of hope she had held onto, when this year began but that same Harry Potter did not return. She was given one last chance, one last hope this night, but it all hinged if Jasmine, not Harry, became her friend. Luna had no clue if her actions would end how she wanted, her one gift and curse failing to guide her when she need it most. She was left blind, and at the mercy of a complete unknown. And in the end, Jasmine, seeing the broken bitterly desperate girl Luna was, swore to herself she would save Luna. She would find a way to heal Luna's father. Jasmine would find a way to give the girl who had lost and suffered as much as Jasmine had, her own light and hope for the future. Not one based on visions and possibilities. But one that came from the promise of a real friend.

Jasmine and Luna ended up falling asleep in the bed in Luna's room. Jasmine had not wanted to leave Luna alone that night. Her instincts warned her that leaving this child in just a delicate state was the worst thing she could do. Jasmine doubted her instincts were completely right in this case, however she still felt Luna needed to have someone nearby after such an emotional night. There was no reason to shock her, or leave her alone when Jasmine did not have to.

When they awoke, Jasmine noted that while Luna was far from cheerful, she was actually happy and not just acting it either. The tentative smile on her face, was a real one that grew a little bit each time she noticed Jasmine had not thrown her out or was mad with her. They spoke a little bit about Luna's ability privately, in which Luna confirmed while she did not do anything to help, she had also not done anything to actively hurt Harry or Jasmine either. She had simply let things happen; in the hope they would work out in her favor. Which had seemed to hold true up till this year. As that is what her visions had shown her doing. Jasmine as such asked, if Luna ever saw a vision that worried her or that Luna wanted to have happen to let Jasmine know. Jasmine would see what she could do to help.

This cheered up Luna greatly though she still frowned on and off appearing concerned. Jasmine could guess something was coming up, something Luna was not sure if she could stop, or how she could stop. As she told Jasmine, with everyone making choices, the future could change without warning. And Luna did not know which things could trigger which outcomes. However, she did warn Jasmine to be careful of Umbridge, something Jasmine already knew, but assured Luna she would be doing so anyway.

Jasmine as they walked down to the Great Hall, taking the passage the Room of Requirements provided. Was delighted to see that Luna's smile remained real. The dreamy expression had not made its appearance once since Luna had finally let her pain go and pass out in Jasmine's arms. Jasmine knew enough not to hope it would stay gone. It would make its return sooner or later as Luna went about school, but for the moment Luna could just be herself.

Jasmine not seeing Hermione in the Great Hall yet, decided to sit with her new friend for breakfast. Which Jasmine realized when she glanced up at the teachers table, had made Umbridge doubt her early assessment of who she thought Jasmine really was. Hermione gave Jasmine a bit of an odd look as she passed the Ravenclaw table, but Jasmine smiled and gave a small wave that meant she would explain everything later.

Hermione soon joined them, having got some studying in before she left the Gryffindor tower. She spotted Jasmine and Luna sitting near the end of the Ravenclaw table and soon joined them. As Hermione was no longer an official Hogwarts student for the time being, no one commented on it even if she was staying in the Gryffindor tower. It did draw several frowns from many different students, including Umbridge's own frown. Thankfully she did not seem to be willing to make a scene.

Testing that day followed much the same as the previous day had done. However, that night when Jasmine first headed back to her room Hermione and Luna joined her. Hermione was wanting an explanation as to why Luna had shown up, and why Jasmine had sat at the Ravenclaw table with her. Thankfully, as Jasmine told Hermione what she had found out, she did not take it too badly either. She seemed more disturbed that Luna had felt her only chance to be with friends was to not do anything rather than try and make some. But she seemed at least willing to give Luna a chance.

As Jasmine walked with Hermione, back to the tower, now alone, Luna still safe in the Room of Requirements, Hermione asked, "What do you think?"

"Of?" Jasmine asked.

"Her prediction that Umbridge will get you," Hermione asked.

"Believing prophecies are we now?" Jasmine asked, her voice teasing.

Hermione gave Jasmine a small glare, "No, but Luna clearly has some sort of gift. And the idea of that… toad getting you worries me."

Jasmine nodded, "I can only be careful. We have as much warning as we are going to have, even without Luna. She does not know what steps Umbridge is going to make yet, probably because Umbridge herself is undecided if I am even Harry. But I will be careful, first sign of trouble I am leaving. My tests are not worth it losing you, or having the kids lose me."

Hermione sighed, "I hope it is enough."

Jasmine nodded and gave Hermione a hug, "It will have to be."

Hermione leaned down slightly and kissed Jasmine, before stepping back and heading the last little of the ways to the dorm. Jasmine turned away, and pulled out her invisibility cloak. Though she knew she had to be safe, an idea accorded to her. Umbridge had been blocked from the headmaster's office, Jasmine wanted to see if she could figure out the password into it. Turning she headed for the office, hoping for an interesting night.

( Hi Espo here. Chapter 5 done, and chapter 6 soon awaits us.

This is Chapter, was one where i had an idea where I wanted to take it. Yet once more, things took a left hand turn, when i thought it would be a right hand turn. That being the involvement of Luna Lovegood. The original ending was actually some fun with Jasmine breaking into the headmaster's office, but we only get an hint of that attempt now in the current ending.

In its place, we come across the single most unique character in the Harry Potter Fanfiction, even more so than Harry himself. Luna Lovegood. Which will be my comments for this chapter.

Luna as a character, even more so than Harry. Tends to have the widest range in how her character is both used, and powers she has had. Spirit projection, meeting with fairies, seeing the future, being emotional dead, knowing who god of death or love is. And many other more besides this. Almost no two versions of Luna are quite the same. Where as a character like Hermione is generally the same from one fanfiction to the next. And even harry though he does changes often, still does not have the sheer variety that Luna does.

For my version, i went with a simple answer. She is aware or more than normal, and just struggling with a load, that as she herself said when she began to ramble, no child should have to deal with. Her ability to see the future, is possible visions which can fade depending on her mental distress. As we also see, someone who has this power, might come to need it to make it through life. And we will see its strengths in the next few chapters. I will not include Luna's chattering away about the creatures she knows of. Mostly as i am not great at writing that version of Luna.

I suppose i should also note about Jasmine's disguise. It is often said simple is the best. By playing the part of harry's distance cousin people are less likely to question her appearance. Plus with reddish brown hair, and no glasses. It would be hard for anyone to realize it was her. As most people do not realize the impacts glasses have on someone's appearance till they see someone wear them long term. I will also note, this is also the first time, i actually acknowledge that Jasmine no longer needs glasses, something i kind of forgot to note in earlier chapters. Oh well, such is life.

Anyway next chapter 6 coming next week. Then we get to the point that was supposed to be in chapter 3. Prepare yourselves, as... well... yeah. Spoilers if you would. But it is about to hit the fan.

Also if you want to know why this is up a little early. I had work today when i normally don't, so had to post it before i left.

As always leave your thoughts and reviews down below. Till next Sunday. Bye)
