Chapter 11: Vengeance and Love

Arendelle Fjord

He was the first to become aware of an approaching danger. The sounds of a large number of men approaching from the gates of Arendelle and the intense feelings of fear and hatred were enough to tell him who it was. He stepped in front of the sisters as they untangled themselves from each other before signalling them to be ready. From the mist shadows could be seen approaching and when the first soldier had broken through the mist, a voice called out in a crisp and accusing manner.

"Queen Elsa! You have been charged with murder and treason for defecting from your country and killing your sister. You are hereby under arrest for the reasons mentioned above and are to surrender yourself for prosecution by Arendelle and the nations around it." The accusing voice of the Duke of Weselton was impossible to misplace. As such when he finally appeared next to the soldier and saw her and Anna standing side by side behind the imposing form of a glowering Madara, he halted in his tracks and a moment of brief confusion and panic showed on his face.

"What? How is she alive? Prince Hans sent word that she had been frozen by you!" He screeched in disbelief.

"Elsa did not harm Anna. Anna was under the control of Hans when she lept at me and Elsa merely used her powers to try and keep the both of us from harm." Madara stated evenly as his Sharingan began spinning wildly in preparation for the bloody confrontation that was no doubt about to take place.

When the Duke turned his attention to him, the Weasel's face took on a shade of red as fury and embarrassment filtered onto his face from being proven wrong. Then he noticed the sliced body of Hans and he regained his previous confidence.

"Well then we can charge you with the murder of Prince Hans of the Southern Isles! You obviously killed him at the behest of your Queen and as such you are also branded a traitor to the crown and thus must also be taken into custody. Men! Seize them!"

Just as the men moved to follow the Duke's orders, Madara had enough of the utter nonsense. He flew through handsigns and used a technique that he had created from watching Elsa's magic at play.

"Ice Style: Frozen Prison!"

From the ground in front of the approaching men, great ice bars rose up and surrounded the entirety of the army as well as the Duke and a moment later the ice that they stood on began to rise up with the men inside stumbling to regain their balance. He then ran through a second set of handsigns and the Ice Prison was moved to the side where it crashed into the frozen surface of the fjord. With that nuisance out of the way he turned back to the others and noticed Elsa staring at him peculiarly.

"I didn't know you had Ice powers?" She inquired curiously.

"I don't. My eyes simply copied yours and I just created some techniques from the base of your powers." He replied monotonously as he looked at her pointedly.

When she realised he was asking her to lift the curse, she turned to her sister and saw the encouraging smile on her face. She then offered a tentative smile back and remembered the words of the trolls.

'Love will Thaw'

With that she focused her mind on the love she held for her sister and used her mind's eye to grasp onto the ice that lay around them before raising her hands upwards. A second later, the ice and snowy mist rose into the sky and began converging into a single point that she quickly vanished by dispersing the magic into the world around them. When she looked back, she noticed that Arendelle had once again blossomed into a beautiful kingdom with lush forests and clear waters. The ships that had been trapped by the ice now bobbled freely in the open waters as the ice melted then evaporated. The snow stopped falling and the sun's rays broke through the dispersing clouds to cast its light upon Arendelle.

When the people noticed the snow and ice floating into the skies and then disappearing they cheered and turned to each other in happiness. The curse of eternal winter had been lifted and with it the iron fist of the tyrannical Duke was no more. They were freed at last and so they turned back to their Queen and Princess who were being escorted to the docks by a group of guards. They welcomed the sisters and their bodyguard who carried the injured Kristoff with the man's reindeer following dutifully behind them.

Arendelle Docks

His eyes flitted open haphazardly and his mouth automatically opened to bring air into his lungs. Only he didn't feel air but the chilling and cruel water as it flooded into his expanding lungs and he quickly closed his mouth again. Struggling within the confines of the water, he had the distinct feeling for falling before he realised he could feel pain. Wait. Pain? Before he could check himself for any injuries or even try to figure out how he got there, he was slammed with an all encompassing need to breathe and frantically began swimming towards the light filtering through the water. He burst through the water and found himself a ways off from a dock which sported a multitude of ships pulling out into the open sea. When he spotted the Arendelle flag flying above one of the dock's platforms, he finally figured out he was indeed alive. So then where was the ice that he was sure he had fallen on when that bastard killed him? He looked around and no matter which direction he looked he only saw the crips blue water that expanded into channels which he knew led to the ocean. He looked back to the docks and began swimming towards shore. When he saw a guard pass by the platform he was reaching for, he immediately ducked back underwater and waited for a few seconds. After he resurfaced, he immediately pulled himself from the water and heaved at the effort it tooke just to swim that small distance. After he had regained his breath, he suddenly realised he could feel the wood. He could feel the wind on his face and when he breathed in the air, he could feel the crisp evening air filter through his nostrils. He was definitely alive then. Now, to figure out what had happened to Arendelle while he was doing time as a frozen prince in the water of the fjord. He needed to see if his plan would still be salvageable, he also needed to be a lot more careful of that Demon from now on. His power was immense but the Demon's eclipsed his own and made him look like a child; which he was now certain was exactly the way the Demon viewed him and indeed all the other soldiers he had brought with him. Not to mention those red eyes seemed to possess some form of magic that granted him super-human speed, strength, and ability that was unheard of. He needed time to figure out how to proceed with his plans of becoming a king. No of being the ruler of the entire world. He no longer wished to just be a king. He needed to be the most powerful man in the world, then he could force those who had wronged him to plead at his feet for mercy. Mercy he would only give in the form of torture and death. Yes. He would have his revenge on everyone who had wronged him. And until he was strong enough, he would train himself while in hiding. He needed power and he needed a lot of it. He knew he only survived the Demon's sword this time because of the one use Talisman of Rebirth that he had purchased from a witch during his travels. He would not have the luxury of having a second chance again.

With that, he quickly and quietly moved to the outer edges of Arendelle where he knew existed a secret tunnel that connected Arendelle and a secret lair he had near the Southern Isles. When he got to the outer edges of the forest, he quickly looked for the markings he left and followed them back to an inconspicuous hill which served as the entrance to the old tunnel left there by someone a long time ago. The entrance was covered with moss and a curtain of vines had grown all the way to the ground which coincidentally also served as the perfect camouflage for the doorway. Using his hand to part the curtain of vines, he pushed gently against the moss-covered wooden door which opened up into darkness. He reached his hand to the left of the doorway and plucked the branch with a cloth tied to the end of it and quickly ignited using his sword and a stone that lied on the ground. The metal scraping on the rock caused sparks to fly out and onto the oiled cloth which instantly burst into a brilliant flame. With his torch at the ready he proceeded cautiously into the tunnel and closed the door after him. He didn't need some random patrol to find the entrance too. He had found the tunnel by accident when he made his way to Arendelle three years ago and had spotted the entrance just before he made his way to the walls. His wet boots made a muffled thud against the ground as he drifted through the silent narrow passageway. As he walked he looked around him and noticed all the vines that grew on the walls as well as the odd branch that he carefully stepped over. When he settled his body into autopilot, he began processing the events that had happened prior to his revival. He should have been a lot more careful when he attempted to take over Arendelle. That ever-present bodyguard should have raised alarms in his head when he tried taking control of the queen. He was honestly surprised as well when he had felt resistance rise against his power when he used his gift on the queen. He should have realised there was something there the second he felt an icy wall where there should have just been nothing. Alas, he let his confidence and arrogance get the best of him and thus had ruled out the possibility of him and the Demon being the only ones with magic. As he contemplated he cursed the queen as well for possessing powers of Ice. Now he had two enemies who were both definitely powerful and possessed magic. He had no doubt the queen was probably trained by the bodyguard in controlling her magic if his ability to overpower his gift were any indication. Not to mention he was sure the Demon could use other forms of magic rather than just the weird illusionary world that he had been subjected to. The Demon's aura was far too big to only have one power. No matter, he would return one day with his own army of magical soldiers and reak his sweet revenge on the two of them. Oh how he would enjoy making the princess, his beloved watch helplessly as he tore her sister apart. For now though, he needed to get to the secret lair and gather his power. And he needed to empty his bladder quite urgently. That too.

Back in Arendelle, Anna felt like she was on the clouds as she dragged Kristoff through the streets of the newly returned Arendelle. She was excited to show him the new sled she had gotten for him and Sven. She also couldn't wait to announce to him the new position that her sister had agreed to assign him. Ice Master Kristoff had a nice ring to it. Although it was reminiscent of her sister's own moniker. The Snow Queen. When they had gotten back into Arendelle, the various delegates had offered sincere apologies for believing Elsa to be evil simply for her powers. As they should Anna thought to herself with a huff. That brought up another topic she wanted to talk to her sister and bodyguard about. These past few days whenever she went to sleep she had begun having nightmares of the battle that had taken place. When she would wake up in a cold sweat and gasping for breath, she would also find her bed slightly frosted over with a fine coat of ice. She was pretty sure she didn't have powers before so she needed to talk to her sister and Madara about that. Speaking of Madara, her sister had made him into the Commander of her Guard so that he could also have some freedom to do as he pleased. Since her sister had gained an adequate amount of control over her powers, she no longer needed him constantly near her to suppress her powers should they go out of hand. Which was a good thing too! Anna was happy for Elsa and she was pretty sure she had seen approval and pride in Madara's eyes if even just for a split second. Oh well, she'll get him to loosen up around them if she had a say in it. He was always walking around and acting so uptight that she felt like it was her new purpose in life to integrate him into their family. However small it is now. She knew about all the times he had went out late at night to do whatever in the forrest next to Arendelle and had suspected he was restless at just sitting around doing nothing. He was definitely enjoying the fighting if the glee his eyes had shown were of any indication. She had no doubt if a war broke out, Madara would dive head first into the enemy ranks and massacre the entire army before Arendelle could even fully figure out a fighting strategy. And now that the recent problems were sorted out, she could wander the streets and interact with the people more. Oh she would try all the food that were sold in the markets and she would see the jewelry that were sold in town. She would get to run around without a care in the world -

BONK!

Oh oops. Guess she forgot she was dragging a blindfolded Kristoff. She looked back and untangled him from the pole she had accidentally run him into. Oh and look! Here they were. The amazing Sven standing in his new regal outfit connected to the brand new sled that had been commissioned for Kristoff. She dragged him to stand next to her and fought to hold down her excitement as she took off his blind fold and bounced on her feet.

"So what do you think?" She asked him and reveled in his shocked look as he looked upon the new and sleek sled. Then she saw Sven pose for them and a giggle escaped her. When Kristoff didn't answer, she turned back to him.

"Do you like it?" Then she produced a scroll from her dress and began reading through the various features of the sled, "It's a new model by the Queen's orders and has a heightened base so that it can traverse snowy areas better. Also the the sled has a larger holding compartment and velvet seats for the rider and passenger. Not to mention it even has a cup holder. So? You like it? Right?"

"No! Well yes I love it but I can't take that" He said as he raised his arms and mimed pushing the sled away. Then Anna turned to him and assured him.

"Sure you can! The sled will be needed by the Ice Master. Which is you. By Elsa's orders!" She said to him in excitement. At his surprised look, she took that to be her victory and turned to Sven and cooed at him while petting his head.

"And look at Sven! Isn't he just amazing in his new outfit?"

"Alright you don't have to stroke his ego any more than you already have. I don't need him to get a big head." He chuckled before she looked back at him and finally noticed the uniquely handsome look he sported in his fur clothes that did nothing but make him more attractive. The strong muscled arms and the kind and caring personality he had shown her. She realised she liked him and judging by his actions and the look he gave her, she knew he did too. She still couldn't believe how Kristoff had went against Hans with nothing but his bare hands to keep him from killing her sister. She admired him for his courage and selflessness even if he was kind of awkward around people. Something she only found to be quite cute. Without realising it, She had moved closer to Kristoff and he had placed his arms around her in gratitude. Then she looked deeply into his eyes and saw nothing but adoration and care for her. With a strong compulsion she leaned in and felt him lean down in response. There lips touched in a soft kiss that nonetheless felt like a bolt of lightning had passed through her from this contact. With her eyes closed, she savored the taste of his lips and her own were caressed by his lips. He moved his hand up to her cheek and she threw her arms around his neck to prolong the magical moment just a few seconds longer. They pulled apart when the urge to breathe came to both of them and they both chuckled awkwardly when they realised they had just shared a kiss. With a last kiss to his cheek, she pulled herself away from him and turned back to the reindeer that had adopted a funny look as it gave them a nod of approval complete with closed eyes as if he had just witnessed something extremely satisfying. With that, they shared a laugh at the reindeer's unique personality and reaction. Wrapping her arm around the crook of Kristoff's they made their way back to the palace after they had parked the sled in the shed and unhooked Sven from it.

Unbeknownst to them, Madara watched their interaction from the roof of the palace and let a small smile drift onto his face. When he had encountered Hans three years ago and again during Elsa's coronation, he had seen the same symptoms that were ever present in his old world. He had seen the darkness and greed that plagued the various nobles that had attended the coronation and had began thinking that no matter which world he landed in, they would all be the same.

"Wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well." He said to himself quietly. He had seen the lights that Elsa and her sister represented but had also beared witness to the lengthy shadows that sought to snuff out their light. He was also aware of the various other beacons of light that existed in the world from what his clones has gathered when he first landed here. They had taken up residence in the various kingdoms where the lights existed so as to protect them should the need arise. He had a feeling there was something far more sinister at play here in this world. Even now he could sense the lingering darkness in the treacherous sea that had become his training ground. And the subsequent forrest that seemed to always be covered by an unnaturally thick mist. He had frequently passed through the forrest and had seen the people that lived there as well as the small group of Arendelle soldiers that wer also there. Given they weren't his problem, he had simply hidden himself and suppressed his chakra to minimize the risk of being caught. He had the feeling there were some kind of magic at play in that area, the river that he often used to spar against his clones seemed to almost be alive. The darkness from the forrest and the river were palpable and he was sure someone had been watching him. So he had always limited himself to the use of taijutsu and kenjutsu so as to prevent whoever it was that was watching him from finding out about his skillset. No need to give a possible enemy an advantage after all. Whoever it was he would need to investigate at a later date. For now he would cherish the peace that he had bought his new home and maybe even train that Kristoff how to properly fight. Now if only there wasn't another person on the roof to disturb his peace.

With a sigh, he disappeared from the roof and reappeared behind the hooded body of another man. He placed his sword at the person's throat and stated with a sidelong glace at the back of person's hood.

"It isn't smart to sneak up on someone like me."

"True. Unless you're also a misplaced Shinobi." The equally calm voice came from the stranger before the cloaked man dispersed into a cloud of crows leaving Madara in a slight shock at meeting someone from his world. There was no doubt, this person was also powerful judging by their chakra signature he was able to sense. Not to mention the crows that were already dispersing into the surrounding environment. When he moved to sheathe his blade he foud a scroll tied to the handle and looked at it curiously. After removing the scroll and sheathing his sword, he unrolled the small parchment and began readin its contents. After a moment, he rolled the scroll back up and looked up with a smile. Finally, things were truly becoming interesting.

"Very well, Uchiha. I will take your message to the Queen." With that, he stretched out his senses to see if the other Uchiha was still hanging around Arendelle but was only able to catch a brief flicker of his chakra before it vanished. With a smile, he returned to his original place and decided to enjoy the peace just a little while longer. If what the message said was true, then Arendelle was about to face its first true threat.
