Naruto's condensed breath came in short puffs as he sat in the den, his body covered by a thick fur blanket. He silently watched as the snowflakes danced in the air.
"you'll get sick, use fire magic to warm yourself up or go inside" - Sasuke chastised.
"i love winter" - the blonde responded, as he remained looking at the horizon absentmindedly. Sasuke sat by his side and sighed.
"the vessel's pain... is it still bothering you?"
"You've removed all the wounds my spirit received but the scars remain. Sometimes... i feel trapped in a suffocating darkness swallowing me whole but i know those scars can only heal with time" - the blonde confessed.
Sasuke's gaze turned soft, "I understand. But know this, you are not alone in your struggle, I'll be bere for you until every bit of loneliness goes away" - With a tender gesture, Sasuke reached out to caress Naruto's cheek. "You are strong, Naruto," he murmured. "Stronger than you know. And together, we will weather this storm" - And as they sat together in the quiet sanctuary of their home, watching the snow fall outside, he felt a glimmer of hope within his heart.
As the vibrant colors of spring painted the world in hues of green, reds and pinks. Naruto found himself immersed in the joy and beauty of the season. The heaviness that had weighed upon him began to slowly lift, replaced by a sense of happiness and completion.
Naruto worked tirelessly to tend to the needs of the villagers while on his free time the children of the village called him to play, their laughter and playful antics worked as a balm for his weary heart. And Sasuke as usual observed from the shadows of his domain, a smile on his face.
"take this potion, two drops after eating lunch, he should be able to work again in a few days" - Naruto smiled at the woman and handed her a flask of silver liquid. A knock on the door interrupted him, his blue eyes turned to the door that burst open, his hand rapidly gripping his staff. Standing before him with a playful smile and twinkling eyes was his master—the toad sage, Jiraiya. "long time no see boy" - he greeted. Naruto laughed out loud, the woman at the clinic shyly walking away. "master" Naruto breathed, his voice filled with a mixture of surprise and happiness. "It's been too long." the young mage rushed to his master jumping to his embrace like a small child.
"You've grown and flourished, both as a mage and as a man" - he said, his wise eyes observing the mage far deeper than the physical plane.
"master what brings you here? we're far away from the swap" - Naruto inquired as he called forth Gamakichi who hoped around as he met his old master again.
"I must confess that my reasons for coming are not entirely noble."
Naruto's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Oh really?"
"Truth is, I heard rumors of this village's prosperity, the beautiful woman that live here and the upcoming festival, and... well..."
A chuckle escaped Naruto's lips. "I should have known better" Naruto said as he shook his head in disbelief. "You old fool," he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
"Guilty as charged," he admitted. "I am weak when it comes to women and alcohol"
The blonde couldn't help but laugh. "Well, you haven't changed a bit, master. But I'm glad you're here, regardless of your true intentions. You're welcome to stay at my house for as long as you like" Naruto said with a warm smile. "But I must warn you, don't bring any ladies in here."
Jiraiya feigned offense, his lips forming a playful pout. "What, you don't trust me to behave myself?" he teased, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes. "At least you're not forbidding me to go to the ladies' house" Naruto chuckled, shaking his head.
With the matter settled, Naruto led his master to the magical door that connected both of his houses. With a wave of his hand and a whispered spell, the door shimmered and shifted, opening to reveal the cozy interior of the mountain temple.
"come master, you must be hungry" The blonde said, gesturing for Jiraiya to enter.
Naruto prepared a hearty meal and as they ate, conversation flowed easily between them, their laughter mingling with the clink of utensils.
As the meal drew to a close, Naruto smiled with anticipation. "I have someone special I'd like you to meet." - Curiosity flickered in Jiraiya's eyes as he followed Naruto out of the house and into the clearing where the lovers usually met, now that spring had come it was adorned with green grass and beautiful flowers.
Suddenly, from the sky, a majestic figure emerged, his wings outstretched and gleaming in the sunlight. It was Sasuke, regal and glorious.
Jiraiya stood frozen in awe, his eyes wide with wonder as he beheld the sight before him. Never in all his years had he witnessed such magnificence.
"Sasuke," the blonde said. "This is my master, Jiraiya." Sasuke inclined his head in greeting, his eyes shimmering with wonder. "Master this is Sasuke, god of the mountain and my partner" - Naruto extended his hand to take the pale one in his own. Jiraiya had never seen such love in someone's eyes. For a moment, the three of them stood in silence, the bond between Naruto and Sasuke unspoken yet palpable.
