Different Seasons: Fall- Part 8: Tori and Mayu's Lazy Day
A/N: Greetings all! I know it's been a bit. My holiday was a bit busier than I expected. But we're back. This is, as the title suggests, a lazy day for Tori and Mayu. For once, our responsible duo is taking some time off while everyone else around them is productive. But hey, sometimes you just need to have a quiet day in bed. While our loving couple cuddles in bed Gure continues to write his book while Aya and Mine prepare for their wedding. But no one can possibly feel mad at them for slacking off as they are usually the last to take a break. Enjoy the lazy day and a bit of lemony goodness.
As always I do not own Fruits Basket
Tori's and Mayu's Wonderful Day in Bed (Lemon)
Tori
The next morning I rose to the pleasant scent of breakfast. Grabbing my robe I walked to the the kitchen to find Mayu cooking me breakfast. She had the radio on and was softly singing along as she cooked so she didn't hear me. As I knew she would revel in the idea of serving me breakfast in bed I tiptoed back to our bedroom and pretended to be asleep. She came in soon after carrying a tray.
Putting it down next to me she kissed my forehead and I mimed waking up.
"Rise and shine sleepy head. I can't believe I got up before you."
"It was a long day yesterday."
She sat beside me and asked,
"How is he doing?"
"Much better after he talked to me, and he'd like to invite your parents to tea and give them a heads up about what to expect."
She smiled and said,
"That's very kind. I know they're worried as they've gotten the idea that you're all very posh and that they'll do some to embarrass us. I'll see what their schedule is next week."
She got a slightly worried look and added,
"Speaking about what they can expect, what about the Kami?"
"Kureno can't promise anything. He says they'll likely be there but beyond that no one can guess what role they'll play in the wedding. Hopefully, they'll just bless the wedding, enjoy the festivities and be done with it."
She sighed and said,
"Well I suppose it's like any other wedding when the bride and groom has to invite their weird relatives to appease their parents. This isn't any different, Except of course these weird uncles have dominion over time and space."
Mayu
He chuckled, saying,
"Yes, they are my weird uncles for sure. Although I'm not sure we can just sit them at the furthest table and ignore them. Gure has a good relationship with the Dog. Perhaps he can give us a hand and ask them to keep a low profile."
We ate in silence, thinking about our weird uncles and the impression they'd have on my parents. Shaking my head, I decided there was very little I could do at the moment so I asked him what he had going on that day.
"Chris wants to watch Gure and I spar. I can talk to Gure while I do that."
"Hmmmm that would be entertaining to see but I got a call from Aya yesterday. The final mockup of my kimono is finished and he'd like to finalize the measurements."
He looked up at me with a smile and asked
When is your appointment?
"Oh you know Aya, he doesn't get up early. He said sometime after lunch would be fine."
"And Gure isn't an early bird either."
I smiled down on him and asked,
"So what could we possibly do before we need to go off on our separate ways?"
"I think I have an idea."
And before I knew what was happening he had moved the tray to the bed side table and I had switched places with him. Tori's gorgeous face smiled down at me and his green eyes danced with mirth. I barely register his movements.
"Wow! How did you do that? I didn't even see you move towards the tray!"
"Years and years of training."
He then looked down at me with a look that made my heart skip and my insides turn to mush. Tori was a complete dream boat. My emotions heightened as I felt his hand slip inside my robe. His soft hand slid against my nipples, causing them to stand up and take notice. He tweaked one and a jolt of electricity surged through my body. I moaned as his lips found mine. He whispered,
"You're so very beautiful Mayu" and then began nibbling my earlobe.
His hands drifted down my body, drawing closer and closer to my core. My back arched when his fingers delved inside me. His lip traced my neck, traveling the same path as his fingers until finally they met. His tongue entered me and soon I crested screaming his name.
Tori
She lay in my arms as the waves of ecstasy washed through her. At that moment I would have loved to know what she was feeling. My mind grazed on Kureno's words but I pushed them aside knowing Mayu would never want to undergo a mystical ritual. I simply took pleasure in the fact that I had brought so much joy into her life.
She looked up at me and said,
"I've loved this week. it's been lovely not feeling like we're stealing moments from someone. That's going to change soon."
I held her close, knowing that she was right. Classes would soon pick up for both of us. Plus there was the wedding. We'd have time to ourselves on our honeymoon, but it would be all too short. And I fully expected the questions would begin regarding when we would have a baby the minute we returned. I sighed, kissed her forehead and said,
"I'll always have time for you Mayu. But right now let's throw away the concept of time. We're here right now. The rest of the world can disappear for now."
I kissed her deeply and whispered,
"Are you ready?"
"Oh yes!"
I entered her and we moved together gently. While we loved a hot and heavy roll in the hay, it was time to enjoy each other's company. I felt her respond to me and it pushed us over the edge. We savored the moment and I held her close while the waves ebbed. I then took her in my arms I said,
"I promise you that everything will turn out fine."
Mayu
I sighed and said,
"I'm sure, I'm sure. I just wish there weren't so many variables."
He smiled and said,
"Well fortunately you're marrying me not Gure."
"Wait, what?"
He sat up and pulled a clipboard off the bedside table. On it was a long, long list of items to be completed.
"I'm very organized which will make it much more likely this will go off without a hitch. Every completed task means we get to cross off an item on the list. Gure, while charming, is completely scattered. You'd need to do the planning yourself. I, like you, know the rush of feeling when a checkmark is placed beside a completed task. And I like organization. I like things neat and tidy and tied up with a bow. Fair accompli."
I laughed. He was absolutely correct. There were times I purposefully wrote completed items down on lists simply to know the pleasure of dragging my pen across the page. It was a rush that I knew Tori felt as well.
Glancing down the list I saw the normal task of going to fittings, helping Aya plan the menu, getting his grandfather and grandmother's wedding bands sized, getting my wig made, inviting my parents to tea, and the like. But then I saw a few more unorthodox tasks.
-Remind Mayu how beautiful she is.
-Remind her of how much she is loved.
-spend at least part of the weekend worshiping Mayu's body.
He watched me smile while reading these tasks and said,
"Whoops, I guess a few of my personal tasks got put onto our list."
He grinned at me like a school boy. I smiled back and looked at him closely. He looked at me very confused and said,
"What? Do I have a zit?"
"Nope, your skin is flawless as usual. I'm just checking to make sure your eyes are green. I've never seen you smile quite like that before."
"Oh ha."
"Well you brought him up."
"Yes. Yes I did."
"You know, I think it's funny how Gure and I ended up with partners with similar characteristics.
"How so?"
"You and Chris are both early risers. You appear pretty buttoned up at first glance but there's a boyish side to you both. You both wear suits nearly every day. And you're both very organized."
"Some of that comes with the jobs we have. But you're right. We do have similarities. And that's fortunate as you and Gure are late risers by nature. If you and Gure ended up together you'd be late all the time."
He caught a glimpse at the bedside clock and added,
"Speaking of Gure, It is approaching noon. We should have lunch and get going before it gets too too, late. Although, with the exception of Chris I don't think anyone would notice if we came after dinner."
"Yeah, we should be probably get up huh?"
He looked down at me and said,
"Mmmm...yeah, we have things to do. We should definitely get up."
He looked irresistible, and so, instead of getting up, I pulled him back in beside me and pulled the covers over reality. We never simply lazed around in bed, and it was just so wonderful to lay beside my beautiful husband to be without a care in the world. We gently kissed and spoke quietly of our future plans. But as was to be expected our closeness led to round two.
Tori
As Mayu's leg brushed against me I felt myself harden. Pulling her close I said,
"Man, I think I'm making up for years of near celibacy today."
She let her hand drift down her body and said,
"I'm game if you are."
Nudging me onto my back, she lavished my body with kisses and took me into her mouth.
"Oh Mayu!" I cried!
As she pleasured me, she looked lovingly into my eyes. I lost the control I normally had as I was just so taken with her.
"I'm coming Mayu!"
She smiled and took me fully in and I simply lost it. I lay back as the waves of pleasure flowed through me. She rested her head on my chest and said,
"Do you think they'd realize it if we spent the entire day in bed?"
As she said those words both of our phones rang. Apparently our answer was, yes, yes they would realize. We sighed, thought about letting them ring, and finally decided to be adults and rose, put our robes on, and answered our phones.
Gure's Busy Day (Lemon)
As I had lost the day before to writer's block I decided to rise early and attempt to write some before my match with Tori. Grabbing a cup of tea, I kissed Chris and said,
"Wish me luck, I'm going to try to get some writing done."
"Ah, so that's why you're up so early. I didn't expect to see you for a couple hours."
"Am I really that sluggish?"
"I generally don't see you until the sun is up. And on days when I go to work I have to wake you to say goodbye."
"Ok I surrender. I am a sloth."
He smiled at me and his eyes danced. I was intrigued as I'd never seen his eyes quite that dark shade of blue. The pale light of the early morning gave his normally sky blue eyes a a sense of mystery, as if he had something in mind for me and was on the verge of telling me but was holding back to torture me.
He looked at me slyly and asked,
"Do you need a bit of inspiration before you go?"
I nodded as I knew what he had in mind.
He smiled at me and led me back into our bedroom. I hadn't gotten further than throwing on my robe it was an easy matter for Chris to guide me onto the bed and take me into his mouth.
As I felt the ecstasy rise in me, the rising sun bathed Chris in an ethereal glow. His gorgeous blue eyes smiled down on me, filling me with an overwhelming love for him. I was indeed inspired and knew exactly what I would write. Chris kissed me and whispered,
"Have I inspired you?"
"Oh yes my love. You have indeed inspired me. You're simply a God."
"Well as we know real gods I wouldn't go that far. But I'm glad you've been inspired. I'll leave you to it."
He then made me another cup of tea and went into the living room so that I could concentrate without being distracted by his ethereal presence.
The Dog Knight and Magical Mr. Fox Part 2
The days leading up to the royal wedding were very busy for the Fox. He spent long days doing preliminary sketches for the royal portrait. After his failed attempt to draw the Dog in by being direct he decided to bide his time and go about his work. He had patience and he had time. Periodically, he felt the Dog's eyes on him as he did his sketches so he knew that he had taken the right tack.
The royal couple was pleased with his progress and invited him to dine with them in their private dining room. But he declined saying he was a simple artist, not worthy of being singled out from the rest of the staff. He enjoyed the communal dinners with the rest of the staff and often the couple joined them anyway as they enjoyed camaraderie of the household. The Dog was enthralled with his stories about all the lands he had visited. He was especially interested about his tales of his homeland.
The Fox often spent his nights reading books in the library or making surreptitious sketches of the Dog as he read the newspaper, but he made no direct advances. On days when he took a break from the portrait he walked the grounds. He often came upon the Dog as he sat in the sun but he didn't bother him. At times it looked like he wanted to call him over but in the end he simply gave the Fox a friendly smile and watched him walk by. The Fox could tell the Dog was watching him walk away and so he was sure to put an extra bounce in his step as he walked by.
As the days went by, the preliminary sketches were nearing completion but the Dog had still had not made a move. So the Fox decided to step up his directly indirect approach by surreptitiously leaving a copy of a romance between two samurai warriors open on the table near the Dog while he read in the library one night. He then bowed politely and smiled, wishing him a good night.
After the Fox had left, the Dog fell on the volume. He had been surreptitiously watching the Fox as he read and he desperately wanted to know what volume had drawn his attention. The beautiful text, which included woodblock plates showing scenes of love between two brothers in arms was filled with beautiful poems expressing their love for each other. He was entranced and, after making sure no one was watching, he snapped the book up and took it home. He spent the night taking in the book. It truly affected him, made thoughts that had been swirling around his mind much clearer. But he still felt too shy to speak the words that formed in his mind.
The next day, when the Fox arrived to work on the portrait the Dog felt himself go scarlet but he looked even more appreciative at the Fox's form.
The time had come to begin adding the pigment to the painting and the Fox was quite preoccupied as the process of creating the right shade to capture the vivid colors of the royal couple's beautiful wedding ensembles was a delicate affair. The Fox spent long hours searching for the right combination of pigments and the Dog became frustrated as the Fox had started to take his meals in the receiving chamber in order to give himself more time to match the silk swatches given to him by the tailor. He went to bed late and got up early and no longer walked the grounds. And while he always had a friendly smile for the Dog, he didn't have time to talk to him over dinner in the staff dining room. And the Dog very much wanted to talk to him about the book; about his feeling about the book; about how he was feeling about him.
Finally, the Dog couldn't stand it anymore and finally caught the Fox on his way home saying,
"I was wondering if you would like to go with me to my favorite place tonight. The weather has grown so hot I'm sure you could use a break from the heat. It is very cool and secluded. Plus there is a full moon tonight so we would have plenty of light to get there."
The Fox was intrigued. And as he had finally finished mixing the pigments for the painting he felt he could stop. So he followed the Dog onto a trail that led to a beautiful moonlit spring high in the mountains. The clouds and low hanging trees were causing the light to be diffused so the Dog was a bit in shadow. It gave him the separation he needed for a minute to gather his thoughts as he felt the Fox's presence keenly. The Fox was quite close and the Fox was quite beautiful. And both situations greatly muddled his thoughts. But as he stood contemplating the Fox's beautiful eyes, the Dog finally understood that the feelings that arose in him when he was with him were same as those he had felt for the Princess. After finally finding his words, he said,
"I read your book."
"Oh?" The Fox asked. "And what did you think of it?"
"It explained a few things I've been feeling lately. That I've been feeling about you lately."
The Fox gave the Dog a smile but still held back. He had other things to consider and wanted to make sure he knew where the Dog was sitting on matters before letting him know all. The moon was close to emerging from the clouds and he was quite aware of the effect of the moonlight on him. But he wasn't sure how the Dog would react so he stayed quiet
The Dog, rather than speak about of the book again looked at the Fox and said,
"You had asked what you could grant me should you win the place of the Court Artist and I am here to collect."
"And what can I give you?"
"One kiss."
The Fox obliged and as their lips met, the moonlight drenched the Fox in its silvery light. As is the way of such things, the moonlight, which reveals all truths, revealed the truth surrounding the mysterious Mr. Fox. And so the Dog became aware of much more than his growing regard for the Fox. For as the moon shone on his friend, the Fox became more beautiful than he could have imagined. A glow had gathered around him and his blue eyes became even more intense as they seems to be backlit by energy.
The Dog pulled back in fear saying,
"What are you?"
The Fox explained,
"I am a Kitsune, a fox spirit. But I mean you no harm. Far from it. Because of your graciousness, you have won my regard which may in time turn to something more.
The Dog looked at the Fox in amazement. But his feelings remained and he gently wrapped his arms around him and kissed him again.
After he came up for air he asked,
"As It is a hot night, would you like to take a dip with me?"
The Fox smiled in pleasure and shed his robe. A beautiful fan of nine tails graced his back. He then jumped into the pool and floated in the water. The Dog joined him and they held each other, taking pleasure in each other. The moon went behind the clouds, morphing the Fox back to his former shape, but the Dog had already chosen to accept that he was holding a celestial being in his arms.
It was getting late, so the two walked back to the palace. Pausing in front of his door, the Fox kissed the Dog and whispered,
"My futon is big enough for two."
The Dog smiled sweetly and joined him.
The night they spent together was sweet and the two took great pleasure in each other.
Before they dozed, the Dog rested his head on the Fox's chest and said,
"So you are a Kitsune. Aren't Kitsune normally afraid of dogs?"
"We normally are, but your gentle and stalwart nature put me at ease when you left the invitation instead of trying to capture me that day."
"Do you know you have been heaven sent to save me from an eternal life of sadness?"
"Yes," said the Fox, "I am heaven sent. Although our meeting was coincidental if very pleasant. I am a messenger of the Gods sent to liaise between the Princess' court and the celestial court. However, my position as liaison and my relationship with you are not mutually exclusive."
He kissed his forehead and the two dozed comfortably.
The next morning, the Fox began the portrait in earnest. The days passed faster now that the two were sharing the Dog's quarters and soon the portrait was done. The couple were overjoyed by the results and marveled at the Fox's skill. And with the completion of the royal portrait the final preparations for their wedding were completed. All that remained was to wait for the dignitaries to arrive to celebrate the couple's nuptials. This gave the Fox and Dog time to explore their budding relationship and both enjoyed the long days that spun before them like glorious lengths of golden cloth. The Princess smiled as she watched the couple walk in the gardens and she wished all the best for them, as it had broken her heart to watch the Dog suffer on her account. Winter had truly given way to spring and all were enjoying the warming rays of the sun. The world was truly transformed.
As I finished my section, Chris came in with a fresh cup of tea. I offered him my newly written pages and he read them while I sipped my tea. After a while he smiled and chuckled as he put down the pages, saying,
"I guess I gave you divine inspiration. Perhaps I was channeling Inu."
"I wouldn't be surprised. So, What did you think?"
"I think it will sell several copies, especially when you draw me as a Kitsune. You also nicely created an opportunity for Marketing to create a line of plushies. Marketing loves product tie ins, especially when there is a built-in fan base who has shown itself to be receptive to merch.
"Oooh! That would be adorable! We could all have one: There would be Haa-san's dragon, my dog, Aya's snake and your Kitsune. We'd have to figure out Mayu's and Mine's plushies, but you're right, this would make a mint."
He kissed me deeply and said,
"Mi will be ecstatic."
"I have to tell Haa-San. Wait, where is Haa-San? Wasn't he supposed to come today?"
"You're right, it's nearly 2:00. He should have been here by now. Or at least called."
"Hmmm. I hope he's ok. This isn't like him."
I called Haa-San. The phone rang a few times before he finally answered with a,
"Umm, hello Gure."
"Did you forget about today?"
"Ummm….no….."
He seemed a bit sheepish. It sounded very much like Haa-San had been playing hookie, or more precisely, had been getting nookie instead of meeting with me. It was so out of character that I had to laugh. We had switched places. I remembered having several such conversations when I snuck out with a lover instead of doing something I had promised to do.
"Let me guess, you and Mayu spent the day in bed."
"Something like that. I'm really sorry about that. I should have called."
I laughed. Responsible Haa-San had indeed blown me off to be with his girl. It really was only fair as only the day before I had felt guilty for ditching him. So I said,
"Tomorrow is another day. Stay in bed and relax. You don't do that nearly enough. I've always said you'll have an ulcer before you're thirty if you're not careful."
He laughed and thanked me as it was quite true. I continued with only the hint of moral superiority in my voice,
"Well my newly rebellious friend, if you deem to get up tomorrow I'll be here. I have to tell you about my newest plan."
He chucked and we said our goodbyes.
Hanging up, I said to Chris,
"Well my love, we've been ditched in favor of l'amor!"
"Good for them."
"What will we do with ourselves?"
"I didn't tell you how very much I loved this chapter of the book. Let me show you."
And we adjourned to our bed, where Chris proceeded to show me how very much he enjoyed the latest twist in the story of the Fox and Hound. I thought I heard a quiet tinkling laughter as if a gentle breeze set a distant set of wind chimes into motion. Clearly everyone was pleased by my creative license.
Aya's and Mine's Busy Day (Lemon)
Aya
After several weeks of struggling with the design for Mayu's wedding kimono, I had finally created a design I was pleased with. I had taken special care as this was my most important commission. Several bolts of muslin were slung around my dresser's dummy and summarily scrapped before I was satisfied that I had managed to find an aesthetic and practical solution for Mayu's big day. I needed her to try it on to make sure she could walk in it comfortably. I had expected her to show up after lunch, but, when she hadn't arrived by 2pm, I started to worry.
When I called her to see if she were coming. Mayu seemed a bit flustered, something I hadn't expected. I wondered if she was embarrassed that she had forgotten our appointment so, meaning to put her at ease, I said,
"It's ok Mayu, I know you have a lot on your mind."
"Yeah…I'm sorry about that….it was a busy morning..."
Mine, who had been listening in the background and had obviously read something in her tone that went over my head, started giggling. I looked at her quizzically and she mouthed,
"Later."
I wondered what could possibly be funny about missing an appointment because of being caught up with other things it finally dawned on me what likely had kept her so busy that morning. I coughed as I still didn't like to think about that aspect of Tori and Mayu's relationship I excused myself and said,
"Oh….. ok. Well it would be good to have you in sooner than later but if today doesn't work I can have you come in tomorrow.
"Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow."
We said our goodbyes and I thought,
"Wow wouldn't it be wonderful to spend the day in bed."
And then I thought,
"Mayu was our only appointment for the day so we can close up shop."
Turning to Mine, I said,
"Well it looks like our appointment for the day has cancelled. What would you say about putting the closed sign up and enjoying the rest of the afternoon?"
She looked at me coyly and said,
"And what did you have in mind?"
As an answer I picked her up and rushed her upstairs and brought her into our bedroom.
She smiled up as me as I laid her on our bed and said,
"I'll have to thank Mayu for missing her appointment. I didn't think you'd ever take a break."
Mine
He smiled down on me saying,
"Well, no matter, we're here now and I plan on making the most of our afternoon together."
He then slowly undressed me, taking time to undo the laces of my bodice while kissing the exposed skin. My breasts were freed and he buried his face in them. I held him close. He then took one of my nipples in his mouth. I moaned as the feeling shot through my body.
He then kissed me as he rolled me on top of him. I tangled my hands in his silvery hair and kissed him deeply. I could feel him grow hard underneath me. I whispered,
"Someone's excited."
"It isn't every day that I get to make love to you with the sun shining on you. You are so beautiful!"
I was so taken by look in his golden eyes. They seemed to glow in the sun. And his hair was filled with icy fire. Reaching down, I undid the buttons of his fly and slipped my hand into his pants. He moaned as I took him in my hands. As I couldn't wait to have him inside me, I slipped off my panties and straddled him while my long skirts draped around him. As I rode him his hands went to my breasts. His eyes zoned out as he watched me move above him and he moaned,
"Ride me mi amor! Ride!"
We came together and I curled up beside him. He smiled graciously at me and said,
"Oh Mine, that was amazing. We will have to thank Mayu profusely for missing her appointment.
"We should probably say nothing. She sounded a bit embarrassed."
"No my love, We should normalize just taking time to be with the ones we love. Yes, she should have called. But she shouldn't have felt embarrassed for wanting to spend time with Tori. They're just as busy as we are so they should take as much time together as they need. Especially since their semesters are about to get very busy."
I was touched by his caring words but instead of pointing out the change in attitude towards his sister in law to be, as it would change the mood to hint at the sad past, I booped him on the nose and said,
"That goes for us too my love. This is the longest we've spent together in weeks. Except for a few quick times in the shower, we haven't made love. You're always so tired after work."
"You're right. We need to take the weekends off."
"Except tomorrow. I know you need her measurements."
"That won't take much time my love. We'll have plenty of time for ourselves."
We then undressed and enjoyed exploring our bodies for the rest of the day.
Tori and Mayu's Continued Lazy Day
As we finished our calls, Mayu turned to me and said,
"I feel a bit bad canceling on Aya. Both he and Mine have been working so hard for us. It isn't fair to have kept them waiting like that."
I took her up in my arms and said,
"We could all use a break sometimes. We should have called when it was getting late but I'm sure both Gure and Aya will find something to fill their time."
My stomach grumbled and I said,
"What do you say we have a late lunch in bed and then find something to keep us occupied."
"I do have some grading…."
"Which will keep until tomorrow. Don't make me get out the calendar and block off 'us' time."
Mayu
He was right. If we weren't careful we'd have only that early morning time together. And I could see that time dwindling away as we both got deeper into the semester. Also, I personally loved seeing my beautiful husband in the daylight. His eyes changed in the light to a gorgeous shade of jade. I'd quite forgotten they could be that color as I generally saw him under the false light of the lamps or in the early morning sun. Both muddied their color quite a bit. And while they were still quite beautiful, the clarity achieved under full natural light was something to behold. I traced his cheek and said,
"All work and no play makes Tori a dull boy."
He continued with the oft forgotten half of the proverb popularized by Steven King,
"But all play and no work makes Tori a mere toy."
"So true. But I love these moments when we get to play."
"Like everything, there is a balance to be struck. Too much of anything, no matter how good it is, can be detrimental. Even too much water can cause seizures and finally, death."
"Well on that cheery note Dr. Sohma, let's go and grab something to eat so we can go back to play time. We have plenty of time for the real world."
"Lie back down. I'll bring it to you."
And with that he picked me up, gently placed me back into bed, kissed me deeply and went to make us lunch. I snuggled into the sheets absolutely loving the laziness of the day. When Tori returned with a lovely lunch I said,
"We need to do this more often."
"I'll put it on the to-do list."
"Mmmmmm….I'll enjoy checking that item off."
"Me too."
And we checked off that particular task several times that day. And we were the better for it.
A/N:
So that was a bit of a fun chapter. I figured our favorite couples needed a bit of a break. It's true, we all should relax once in a while. And those who are the most busy among us need to do so even more. So we'll leave them to their rest until next time. Please r and r and as always I remain,
Acta!
